Ali smiled at him gently and then glanced to where he was looking. She could see that other guys were looking at her. She wondered what was going through his mind as she noticed him smirk at the other guy. As he put his arm around her she leaned against him and once more put her head on his shoulder.
She chuckled slightly at his question. Favorite color. Such a easy question and it wouldn't bring up anything personal that could hurt her. She figured he would work his way from the bottom and go up. Start easy and simple and then more complex. "Hmm. Thats a tough one. I like many colors. But I guess my favorite would be....red."

Landon smiled, he liked that choice. The colour of passion. He wondered about what his next question should be, he wanted to ask her age but had been taught never to ask a woman her age, it was rude. The waitress came by to clear their table, but Landon was to lost in thought to even notice. "Alright... what kind of music do you like?"
He was enjoying this, it was like a game of 21 questions, it made him feel like a love struck teenager, going out with a girl for the first time. It had been a long time since he'd dated, rusty and out of practice, he hadn't wanted to fall for someone since he turned. Didn't want to get hurt, but more than that, he didn't want to hurt someone especially someone he cared about.

Ali took a sip of her coke after she answered him and was glad to see he liked the answer. She could tell he did because his eyes told a lot about him. She realized you could tell a lot about a person from their eyes. They could tell you if they held pain, or love, or happiness and other many emotions. Thats why she loved looking at others eyes. It was what caught her attention first.
She turned her body to slightly face him as he asked his next question and she smiled. "Hmm. Music...Well. I dont listen to it a lot. I dont really have time but I guess I deal with anything. I dont prefer rap and heavy metal, but ill deal if someone im with likes it." She said to him. She glanced around and then crossed her legs and waited for his next question. She felt like it was 21 questions as well. And she was enjoying it.

Landon took a sip of his water as she answered him, he wasn't one for metal music either, and he absolutely detested rap music.
Landon liked how she was getting comfortable, he loved her smile. He wanted to be able to keep it on her face forever. He looked up as he thought, he looked back to her while asking, "what are some of your favorite things to do?"
He saw the waitress approaching with the cheque, he figured from the line up outside they were trying to get people out as soon as they could, "just go to the front with this and they will ring you out," the lady said, "I hope everything was enjoyable."
"It was, thanks," Landon said quickly so the woman would leave, he wanted to hear Ali's answer!

Ali smiled at him and then blinked as the waitress came with the check. She had been about to answer and of course, she had been interupted. So she leaned back against him slightly and waited for her to leave. When she did she took his hand and stood up. "Come on. Lets not keep them waiting. Many people to seat." She told him. "And I can talk on the move."
She followed him quietly to the front, ignoring the stares she was getting. Anybody else that stared at her like that besides Landon made her uncomfortable. She just wanted the one guy to look at her like that. But she wasn't sure he ever would. She waited at the front where the cashier took the bill. She still wished she could help pay.

Landon typically got his meals paid for on his work visa, but he wasn't going to make the magazine company he worked for pay for his date, he was glad that because of where he worked he could get reservations anywhere in a moments notice. He handed over his debit card and punched in his pin quickly.
He wasn't liking the looks he was getting from other men, all glaring at him like he wasn't good enough, which to Landon seemed to be a fair assumption. Ali seemed to sticking close to him though, he took that as a good sign, but he was a little angered by mens obvious automatic dislike of him, and lust in their eyes over Ali. He was glad when the recipt was put into his hand, he told the lady to have a nice night and took Ali's hand lightly, "ready to go?"

Ali stood next to Landon closely and folded her arms across her chest. She continued to notice the stares and it was getting annoying now. She was very tempted to bare her fangs at them and scare the lust out of their eyes. Because a vampire was a scary person when they proved they were dangerous. And she could be dangerous. She hoped Landon never saw that part of her. But she knew that was a false hope. That was who she was and she would have to tell him eventually if they continued to see each other.
She looked at him though, pushing back the urge and smiled. She nodded and said, "Yep. And also, once we leave can I find somewhere to change? I dont want to ruin the dress and the streets are not exactly clean. So..." She chuckled.

"My hotel is less than a block away," Landon responded as they steped out into the street, the air had cooled significantly, the moon was partially hidden by dark clouds. "And we should hurry," he said in a calm tone leading her toward the crosswalk. "Its going to rain," he said he could feel the moisture in the air, could smell it, a storm was coming, and fast.
He was happy to see the light change so they could cross, "you still never answered what your hobbies are," Landon said his curiousity peaking as they safely reached the other side.

Ali looked at him and smiled as he told her about his apartment. Like normal...she had no where to stay. Thats another reason she wanted to change. Sleeping in a dirty alley in that beautiful dress made her sad. She didnt want to ruin the lovely present. She kept a firm hold on to his hand as they crossed. She noticed he was always warm. She knew her skin was always cold. It was just the way the dead worked.
She glanced at him with a twinkle in her eyes as he asked about her hobbies once again. "Well. You know one of them. Traveling. I love traveling around with all my heart. I also love reading. Books and words take you someplace totally different. When I get the time, Ill snuggle up in a tree and read by moonlight. Which brings me to another hobby. I like to climb things. Tall things, short things, doesnt matter. Tree's are my favorite though."
Ali took a short breath and chuckled and then continued. "Hmm...another hobby is I like walking in gardens and parks at night when the sun is gone and its nice and cool. What else....hmm....I love the rain and i have been known to be caught in it." She then blushed and said, "Oh look at me. I rant to much. Whats your next question?"

Landon was very content listening to her, he liked the feeling of her hand in his, and while thinking that he realized how cold she was, "you are freezing!" he let go of her hand.
He unbuttoned his tux jacket and shrugged it off his shoulders before wrapping it around hers, "hope that is better," he murmered shyly.
He vaguely wondered about why she mentioned that everything she did was under moonlight, or at night time. Didn't she enjoy the hot sun on her face, maybe she burned bad? Landon's mother had fair skin, she never wanted to go to beaches or anywhere outdoors during the summer or she would turn the colour of a lobster.
"What's your favorite food?" He asked keeping with a slow stride, he didn't want to see her leave any sooner than nessissary, he could see the hotel he was staying at not far off.

Ali smiled as he didnt seem to have a problem with her talking on. She was glad she could just talk to someone and not worry she was annoying them. But she also caught the wonder in his eyes. She realized she had listed off all her night hobbies. But she didnt have any day ones...couldn't have any day ones...actually. That was one thing she desperatly missed. The sun warming her skin. Before she had turned she always tanned and never burned so she stayed out all the time. Not anymore...
She then realized he saw that her skin was cold. She chuckled and took his coat gladly even though it wouldn't help. Her skin was always cold not matter what. But she would play along that it helped. "That helps. Thank you." She told him and then answered his next question. "Favorite food? That one is easy. Pasta. Thats why I ordered what I ordered." Then she got an idea. She stopped and took off the heels she was wearing and put them in one hand. "Hey, how about a race? I bet I can beat ya."

Landon was pretty fast, he was faster as a wolf, but he was fast on his own. He smiled at her cheerfulness, it was rubbing off on him. "How is that fair though, do you even know which hotel we are going to?" He questioned, though he figured that wouldn't deter her much, so he stopped walking, "see that one, there with the man outside with the umbrella," Landon could smell the rain falling not far off. "He is the doorman, first one in the door wins, ready?"
Landon felt like a child as he got ready to run.

Ali smiled at him and stuffed the heels into the bag around her wrist. The bag wouldn't slow her down. And neither would his coat. She was really fast, all of her kind was. She could reach 65 mph if she wanted to. That took a lot of motivation, but she could do it. She couldnt wait to see his surprise that she was actually fast.
As he got ready and explained where the hotel was she nodded. "All right. First one through the door." She told him. But she kept her eyes on the doors. That was her goal and she planned on getting there quickly. She glanced at him and then said, "Go!" She then sprinted off towards the hotel and the rain that she could smell. She was already gaining speed.

Landon was trying to keep to what he figured was a mortal man's running speed, he was ahead but not for long, Ali sprinted past him, leaving Landon in shock, he laughed lightly and took up a full sprint himself. He nearly caught up to Ali too but damn, she was a quick one! He had a large smile on his face, he was still breathing normal, he wasn't in the greatest of shape since he had to sit for long periods during the day to do his work, but he always made time to run through the forests to keep himself up to snuff. He stood outside of the door with a grin, the storm gave a thunderous growl and lightning streaked across the sky as rain started to fall. His shirt got sprinkled with water, he walked in the doors and ran his hand through his now damp hair. "Wow, you sure are fast, what are you a track star?" He asked taking his keycard out of the pocket in his pants he slid it through the first lock and opened the door to the lobby, "after you miss."

Ali had a large smile as she ran. She loved running as well. That had been one hobby she hadnt told him. She also noticed when he ran ahead. But she put on a smirk and kicked it up a notch. She had been trying to do the same thing but she didnt want to loose so she decided to let loose. She didnt stop until her palms slammed into the glass of the door.
She looked back at Landon and smiled as he caught up to her. Her own hair was damp and the dress was damp as well. It was clinging a little more then it was before now, but she didnt seem to notice. She just brushed her bangs back and smiled at him. "No. Im not a track star. I just love to run. And I would have been faster if I wasnt in the dress." She said and followed him inside. She then handed him back his coat. It had almost fallen off but she had grabbed it as it fell off her shoulders.
