He lead her past the security guard that was looking at him with a questioning glaze, he'd been here for four days, by himself, coming and going on his own. He took the jacket back, but didn't put it on. He lead her to the elevator and pressed the up button. He was pretty patient but it was annoying when they didn't come back to the lobby promptly.
The elevator dinged and the steel doors opened slowly, people started flooding out bringing mellow elevator toons out. How he despised the boring tune that played over and over and over. He sighed stepping in he pressed the 8 button. "I can't imagine you being any faster in anything else," he said, "your incredibly fast now."
Landon was now starting to think about the fact that she had beaten him. He had supernatual speed. He was a werewolf. He should have been faster, humans couldn't run that fast. They simply couldn't. Landon eyed her, her beautiful scent intoxicating him, what are you?

Ali followed him quietly, somewhat brushing off the drops of rain from her arms. She shook her head and the water spattered slightly. "Oops..." She said embarrassed and then followed him to the elevator. She had noticed the doorman. She wondered if Landon came back with girls often or if she was the first. She didnt want to think about that so she pushed it aside. She just brought herself tp the present. Waiting in the lobby for the elevator. When it came she heard the tune and she could imagine that getting annoying.
They walked in and she leaned against the back and watched him press the button. She smiled at his comment and nodded. "Yep. Believe it. I would have been much faster not in this dress." It somewhat passed through her thoughts that he might suspect something. Humans couldnt run that fast....But then again, he hadnt been far behind her. And she already knew he wasnt human. But not a vampire. She took another slight wiff of his scent and she could smell somewhat of a....dog smell. Then her mind froze.....Was he a......werewolf?

No human could run that fast. No human could out run a werewolf, even in human form, werewolves are still conciderably faster. Her scent had been bothering him, it was beautiful, but it wasn't human, maybe she really is a werewolf... he thought but as soon as it entered his mind he dismissed it, he could tell with in a few seconds if someone was of his kind, he could even do it from a slight difference, could senses someone like him. She wasn't. That means she is something else, that was the conclusion he came to as the elevator dinged and the doors opened letting in a middle aged woman with too short of a dress and that was wearing too much perfume, Landon sneezed.
He was happy when the elevator dinged again letting him exit quickly from the sliding doors on the eighth floor, he sneezed again. Some perfumes he was fine with, but the majority made him sneeze, he was slightly allergic, nothing serious, he just felt like a idiot sneezing all the time. "Sorry," he mummbled before sneezing again.

Ali stood there, looking at the doors quietly. She was thinking this through. No...he couldnt be a werewolf.....could he? She glanced at him as she thought this and things started to add up. All immortals were stunning in looks. And he sure was. And she knew that werewolves were always warm. It just happened. And he was fast as well. Not far behind her. He also smelt like the forest. Everything pointed to werewolf. She realized with a jolt...she liked a werewolf.
But she was taken out of her thinking when he started sneezing. She noticed the perfume on the lady and it was strong. She wrinkled her nose and she tried holding her breath. When the doors opened she looked at him when he said sorry. She smiled and said, "Dont worry about it." She then got brave and took his hand and pulled him down the hall where they could be alone and no one would hear. "Im sorry...but I have to ask....Are you.....Are you a werewolf?" She asked him quickly and looked down at the floor.

Landon was shocked into a silence, he stared at Ali, had she really just called him on his werewolf...ism? He turned quickly and sneezed again, he turned back to Ali.
He didn't want this, he didn't want her to be scared of him, didn't want her to run. Didn't want her to fear him, didn't want her to know of his monsterous side, didn't want her to know of what he was capable of, and especially what happened under the full moon, when everything was completely out of his control.
"A werewolf!" He said in shock, sparing more time. He thought of the way she could run, how her scent didn't match anything, what is she?" He looked behind him as he seen a man followed by a woman leave a room. He grabbed Ali's hand and lead her to his room, opening it with his keycard he led her in shutting and locking the door behind them, "what are you?" He asked slowly looking deeply into her eyes, "you aren't human, and you aren't a werewolf, so what are you Ali?"

Ali was still looking at her feet when she asked him that. She could hear the silence and almost hear him thinking. Had she upset him? She hoped not. She really liked him still and she didnt want to make him angry at her. That was the last thing she wanted. She looked up when it seemed like he wasnt going to say yes. She knew he was. She could sense it now and she was about to protest when he pulled her into his room.
She glanced around first and was amazed by the stunning room and then she looked back at him. He asked her what she was. Didnt he know? Couldn't he tell by her smell now that he took the time to sniff? But then she saw the confusion in his eyes. "You really dont know do you?" She whispered softly. She touched his cheek gently with her hand and hoped he wouldn't flinch away. "Im a...." She swallowed and took a deep breath. "Im a vampire Landon." She told him and then sighed and exposed her fangs.

Her gentel words soothed him, her cool skin touched his warm cheek, and when she told him what she was, some things clicked into place. When he seen her fangs he swallowed, "any chance you somehow managed to guess that I was a werewolf, are cool with supernatural things, and those fangs are fake?" He could tell just by looking in her face she was telling the truth, he let out a sigh, "that explains the scent... and the speed," he said softly. "So... vampires... they are... real... huh."
He grinned at her, "what is next unicorns?"

Ali was happy he didnt flinch away from her. She would have expected that. She grinned at his comment though and she looked away and took her hand back. "I wish....I really do wish they were fake." She swallowed and then took a step away from him. It pained her to do that. She liked him so much. But he probably despised her. "Yeah...Vampires are real. And there are lots of us. That was also my accident. I was turned and my sire abandoned me."
She took off the bag from her wrist and said, "Ill go quickly. Ill change and then leave. I know wereolves and vampires dont mix...." She swallowed back tears and walked over to him again. She decided to be brave again and she gently kissed his lips. She then pulled back and headed for the bathroom so she could change. God she wished thier species could mingle.

The kiss left Landon frozen in his spot. When she pulled back with intentions on leaving his heartstrings pulled, his lungs felt like collapsing.
"Woah, woah, woah!" Landon said coming out of the trance-like state he'd been in since she'd kissed him. He took three long strides reaching her quickly and wrapped his arms around her waist, her back pressed tightly against his chest, "you can't know that," he whispered. How could she walk away? It was killing him, he wasn't just going to let her get changed and be on her way never to be heard from. No he couldn't, not with out a fight.
"We've gotten along just fine Ali," his voice was strained by emotion as he whispered in her ear, he pleaded,"please, don't go."

Ali had been almost to the bathroom when she felt herself pulled backwards slightly. Her breath caught and she tried to think of what to say. His voice so close to her ear made her blush deeply. She kept forgetting that he was so tall and any stride of hers was half of his own stride. She had no chance of getting away easily.
So she put her things down gently and turned in his arms to look at him. She looked deeply into his eyes and said, "Are you saying that a werewolf could actually get along with a vampire?" She hoped he would say yes. But there was also the fact that the rest of their species would never approve. Then again...why did she care. She liked Landon so much. She didnt care he was a werewolf.

Landon was nervous as she turned around, he half expected her to start yelling, slapping, and telling him never to talk to her again. What he got was a happy alternative. Getting to look into her eyes was a gift, her lyrical voice made a smile creep upon his face.
"I think we've already proven that vampires and werewolves can get along," Landon said, his one arm still around her waist, the other on resting on her neck, "I believe we've gotten along better than fine, don't you?"
His forhead rested against hers, she's short Landon thought with a smile, precious

Ali smiled and closed her eyes slightly as he rested his forehead against hers. She could breathe in his lovely scent and she realized that she loved everything about him. There wasnt one thing she didnt like. His scent was wonderful and he was so kind. He knew how to calm her down with just a few words and she always felt comfortable with him.
She opened her eyes and looked at him once more and smiled brightly. "Yes. We have proved that. There is nothing that I hate about you. And thats the truth." She whispered to him. She placed her hand on his cheek gently, loving his warm skin. She had been cold for a while now. She liked the warmth from him.

Landon smiled as she seemed to calm in his arms, he didn't get the feeling she was going to run from the hotel room and disappear into the night. Her being calm, calmed him, he breathed out a sigh of relief. "So tell me a little something about this vampire stuff," Landon asked carefully, "like is it all legend stuff, like sun... can that really hurt you Ali?" Landon wanted to be aware of what could hurt her... with that he left her standing there suddenly and grabbed his calender off the wall, he looked for the symbol of the full moon, and glared at it. Under the full moon, he could be that thing that hurt her.

Ali looked at him gently and then sighed slightly. She looked away and muttered, "Yeah. Only sun and Fire can kill me. Unless my head is taken off or something....." She shrugged and thought a little more. She hated those weaknesses. She was scared of fire naturally and she couldnt touch sunlight. But she did love the night time. That was the only good thing.
She looked back up though as he left her side and went to look at a calender. She could guess what he was checking. The full moon couldnt be far off. She went over to him and said, "You dont have to worry about hurting me. I heal quickly and wounds cant hurt me.."

"You won't be around," Landon said his jaw clenched in anger, "I'm not letting you see me like that, I'm not going to be the monster that hurts you, not in this lifetime." No way would Landon allow Ali to see him like that, he'd baraccade her in the hotel room and drive somewhere far away before it came. He wouldn't let her see him changed, he wouldn't let her be anywhere near, he wouldn't be wondering if it were her blood on him in the morning.
Where is far enough? Landon thought, he let out a breath, it was still a while away. He had time to think, to plan. That made his fear lessen. Having it all planned out made him feel better, if she were safe... sure he couldn't defend everyone from werewolves. Full moons just brought out the worst in them. But Ali wouldn't be hurt, and she was the only one he was concerned with. He hung the calander back up, and turned back to Ali, "so no candles, no sunlight, no lighters," he sighed, no cigerettes, at least not unless he was careful.
