Landon walked out of the hotel and adjusted the collar of his jacket before stepping out onto the street. There were many people, the sun was going down, cars were whizzing by. Landon didn't pay attention to any of it.
I wonder if my car will be done when I get back, I have to pay the electric an phone bill his mind was lost in things he needed to do, he looked at his watch, he had dinner reservations in a hour, he had to do a review for them. It would only take ten minutes to walk, he was early. A stroll didn't sound so bad. Most of his problems were back in Paris, all he had to worry about here was work.
He wasn't paying much attention to what was around him and regretted that when he bumped into someone with such force he knocked them down. He could feel his cheeks warm in a blush as he bent down and extended his hand to the woman, "I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention, are you hurt?" The words came out in a panicked jumble.

Ali had been hiding in the alleyway shyly. The sun was to much of a threat to her and she never liked taking chances. She would stay safe and hidden in the dark until she was safe. When she saw the sun go down over the buildings she figured she was safe enough to walk in the shadows of the street. But she took a step out of the alley, she was bumped in to and she fell to the sidewalk with a thud. She sighed slightly as she was looking up at the red orange sky and the handsome stranger that had bumped her.
When he extended his hand she took it and stood up quietly. She dusted off her coat and then looked at him kindly. "Im fine. Dont worry about it." She said with a gentle tone to show she wasnt mad. She released his hand and then tried to figured out the smell she smelt off of him. It wasnt vampire, but it wasnt human either....So what was it? But she wasnt about to ask him that question when she had just met him.

"Are you sure?" Landon asked once she was back to her feet, he could tell he was still blushing, which made him more embarrassed, which made his face go even more red. He lowered his eyes trying to let the embarrassment fade. "I'm really sorry."
He hated it when someone hurt someone else, unless it was called for. This wasn't called for and worse, it was a woman, a young beautiful one. He swallowed hard as a scent caught in his sensitive nose. She wasn't another wolf he could tell that much. Perhaps she was wearing a perfume that changed her scent. That's probably it he thought to himself.

Ali watched him with her dark, piercing eyes. He seemed really embarrassed, and he shouldnt be. He hadnt done anything wrong really. Everyone bumped into someone at one point or another. Where she was from, it happened all the time. And this wasnt the first time she was bumped and found herself on her back staring up at the sky.
She stuck her hands in her pockets and smiled at him gently. "Please. Dont worry about it. There isnt anything to be sorry about." She said and took a step closer to him. She tilted his chin up so he was looking at her and she smiled again. "Honest. Cross my heart." She said and drew an X over the spot where her heart was. She then tapped his nose with the tip of her finger and stepped back.

He smiled as he felt her hand on his face, she was a bit cold but still he smiled widely, she sure was pretty. Landon felt his cheeks redden once more but for a different reason. "At least let me make it up to you," Landon insisted, "I have reservations at a nice resteraunt, how about it?"
He was shy, but couldn't resist flirting with members of the opposite sex, even when he wasn't so smooth at it. If she went with him, he wouldn't have to worry about work so much, still he'd have to have a detailed mind and remember everything rather than taking notes, something he found rude when with someone else. "What do you say?"

Ali smiled at him when she saw him smiling. And then she saw him blushing redder. She couldnt help flirting either. And he sure was handsome, so it came to her in an easy babble. And the mysterious scent caught her attention still. Maybe spending some more time with him would let her figure it out. Plus, he seemed like kind company.
She then got an idea. She leaned over to him and kissed his red cheek. "Im sorry I made you blush again. Shame on me." She smacked her left hand with her right gently and chuckled. "And if it makes you feel better, sure. Ill go with you." She wouldnt pass up food anyway. She had no money at the moment. She had spent it all coming here.

He smiled feeling her soft lips on his blushing cheek, she seemed to be fun company a friendly soul, he needed more people like that. He chuckled lightly when she swatted her own hand. "Well I don't want to keep you if you have some place to be... but if you don't, I practically insist that you join me." He didn't want to keep her, but at the same time he was entangled in her, how carefree and kind she seemed to be it made him smile, made him want to just say no to work! He wouldn't of course, but it gave him the slightest notion of pushing it away.
Work had always been his refuge, the way that he could ignore all that happened in the past. A way that he could have a purpose, that he could keep a nice home, make a general good impression on society, even when in reality he was a werewolf. He wanted to appear as human as possible. Live like a human.

Ali smiled at him and backed up a step so she could look in his eyes. She could tell he was hard working but yet kind. She loved people like that. They worked at what they wanted and yet had room to be polite to others. But the question was, did he have any fun at all? She pushed her own questioning aside and shook her head at him. "I don't have any plans. No one knows me and I just arrived here!" She told him with a bright and eager voice.
She took her hands out of her pockets of her coat once more and straightened her arms out parallel. She then spun in a circle lightly, tossing her messy brown hair into her face. She came to a stop when she started to get dizzy and then blew the bangs out of her face. "Sorry. I'm just excited to be out here. Being stuck in a plane isn't fun." She added and then she lightly took off her coat.
She was wearing black jeans that were a little tight and had rips in the knees. She also had on a dark blue tank top that had a few flecks of dirt on it. She had been roaming around in these same clothes for a while now. She really needed to go shopping. And as she took in her messy appearance it was her turn to blush.

"Absolutely lovely," he whispered, then catching the fact he'd said it outloud he covered up, "absolutely lovely... that you will be joining me."
Landon checked his watch, they might be a bit early, but for him he was sure they would make an exception, especially since they would be wanting a good review. From the research he'd done, it was a fabulous place that made their customers desires come first, he wasn't really much for the fancy foods, but they suited him fine. He extended his arm to her, "come on, I promise it will be exceptional, on me, I mean I knocked you onto the street, how absolutely rude of me, I honestly feel aweful, are you sure you are alright?" He questioned again, he was paranoid, panicky and yet the smile wouldn't fade from his face. His present company was something.

Ali still had a slight red blush to her cheeks and she cleared her throat to cover it up. She wished she had better clothes on. Any place he was heading must be pretty fancy and she wasnt in the kind of clothes for that. But she looped her arm in his and smiled kindly like she always did. She had caught his little stumble but wouldnt bring any attention to it.
She then rolled her eyes at him in a friendly manner and said, "Dont worry about it. Its over and done with. No harm no foul." And I wouldnt have met you.... She thought to herself silently. She was glad she was here with him. "And are you sure you want to take me along. Im not really dressed for anything nice. And you cant just pay for everything. When I get the money I will pay you back. I promise." She told him, sincere in her words. Then it crossed her mind that he didnt know her name. She stopped and stepped in front of him and held out her hand. "By the way...Im Ali."

Landon ran his loose hand through his hair as they waited at a cross walk he walked in front of her and pushed out her hand kindly he smiled, "I'm Landon Cross and I'm very pleased to meet you Ali."
The light changed and the walking man lit up, he took her hand in his gently guiding her across the busy intersection, "And you look fantastic just the way you are, and i'm paying, don't even try to argue that one with me," he said playfully, the flashing red hand was up before they'd crossed half way. It always angered him, no one could cross the street in the time alloted, he was glad he wasn't elderly.

Landon. She thought to herself with a smile. She liked the name and it suited him perfectly. Some names just fit. And his did. She watched the cross walk as they waited for it to change and they could cross. When it did she was slightly surprised when he took her hand and led her across but she wasnt complaining. She liked him.
Then she groaned slightly at him. "Oh come on. I cant look that good. I have flecks of dirt on my clothes and they are ripped as well. Thats NOT nice. And I will argue with you about paying. I insist on paying you back. Its only right."

"No, I can't possibly ask you to pay, I invited you, i'm already have reservations someplace so you don't have any imput on where we are to eat, therefore i'm paying, that is that," Landon said in a somewhat business like tone, it was like a negotiation voice, it was something he wanted to go over well.
"And if you don't like what you are wearing," Landon checked his watch, there was still fourty five minutes before his reservations, "we could go shopping, pick you out something..." all the adjectives he wanted to put in seemed inapropriate, so he said, "you feel more comfortable in if you like." Landon said stopping so he could look at her, waiting for her response.

Ali rolled her eyes as he established he was paying for dinner. He had such a business like tone and she found it cute. Many people probably obeyed that tone. But she never was one for obeying the rules. She always broke them or at times, shattered them. And she was intent on paying him back. So even if he didnt like it, she would pay him back. It would be easy. She already knew his name and she had a feeling he was in some kind of important business. She would find his address and then mail the money to him. With no return address. Simple as that.
Then she stopped in her tracks when he stood in front of her and offered ti buy her clothes as well. She blinked utter surprise. No one had offered that before and here she was sure clothes were not cheap. She mostly shopped at like Wal Mart and easy places like that. "I couldnt possibly ask you to buy me clothes. Thats to much kindness towards someone like me."

Landon shrugged, he didn't want to say 'yes lets go and get you something nice' for that would be outrageously rude, but he didn't want to say, 'well then lets go eat' neither would be appropriate, neither were very kind. He found himself momentarily tounge tied.
"It could be fun, I need to pick up a few things as well," he was lying a bit, not about the possibility of it being fun, she seemed to be the kind of person who could make a bullet sound fun, but picking up something was a lie. He was a terrible liar, he hoped he could pull it off. He didn't mind what she was wearing, it seemed just fine to him, it somehow suited her. He found himself thinking anything could suit her. She was just one of those people who could pull of anything.
