His smile came back when the waitress went away, "soo," he said, he'd always found it a bit difficult to strike up a conversation, his crucial years for socializing skills had been destoryed by educational books, extra tutor lessons (tutoring him in things for the grades ahead) he always hated social outings. In a moment he could see he was the social outcast.
He studdied the threads in the pale coloured tablecloth, it was a nice tablecloth. "So you said you'd just gotten off a plane, where are you from?" He asked, looking her straight in the eyes, happy that he'd remembered the detail from what was almost a hour ago. He couldn't believe that much time had passed.

Ali watched him patiently as he tried to think of something to say. She was naturally outgoing and so she could at times think up some random thing to day and talk about it for a while. But she was glad he was trying to socialize. She noticed him studying the table cloth and she smiled. She reached over and took his hand gently and gave it a gentle squeeze to comfort him. "Dont be shy. I dont bite..." Okay...thats a lie..but he doesnt have to know the truth in words. She thought to herself.
She smiled wider at his question and she said, "London. I traveled across half the world and landed in London. Then after a few months I traveled back here. I dont stay in one place long. I always like to see new things and find new friends. Keeps life exciting y'know?"

Landon smiled as her hand touched his though he knew from her words that she had finally seen his social awkwardness. He knew the life style of a traveller, after all he was a professional traveller of sorts. "Well I'm glad you enjoy travelling, I think everyone should do it, see the world so they aren't trapped in what the news tells them, they see the world with their own eyes." He wondered where she originated though, where she grew up. Where she called home now. He guessed she had a true traveller's heart, this was where she was so this was where home was sort of thing. Landon admired that, he lived in Paris because that was a ocean away from his family.

Ali smiled as she listened to him. She loved his personality and attitude towards life. He was just like her. Go with the flow and see where it takes you. Dont let the world stop you and keep going. She figured he had a travelers heart as well. She would ask him that, but she could see the one question burning in his eyes.
She gave his hand another gentle squeeze and said, "Your probably wondering where I grew up?" She chuckled and answered the question even if he hadnt said yes. "I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. I left about a year ago..maybe less. I lived on the streets since I was 15. I had a.....accident....and so I wouldnt go home..."

Landon frowned as his eyebrows drew together in question, "a accident?" He was pulled into the mystery, but it sounded serious, he wondered what happened so bad that she wouldn't go home. He was comfortable with their holding of hands, his thumb ran over her smooth skin, something he did with out even realizing he was doing so.
He thought about when he'd been turned, he hadn't gone home. He'd taken it as his sign to get gone. It was safer for his family anyways, and he'd needed freedom. She wasn't a werewolf though, she was just a woman. A stunningly attractive one, but a woman, not a werewolf. So he was left with the question, what could a human do so bad that she didn't want to go back home? Landon could come up with a few answers but none of them seemed to fit her in the least.

Ali looked away slightly. It was painful to remember that day. She had been 15 and attacked in an alley. Forever changed. Never to die of old age and to look young. But she figured she could travel her whole life of imortality. She then glanced back at Landon and wondered what she could tell him. She couldnt just out right tell him she was a vampire and the one who had created her had attacked her and then abandoned her.
So she took his hand and kissed the top of it. "Dont worry about it..." She whispered quietly, a slight pain in her voice. She then tried to perk up a bit and she cleared her throat. "Anyway. After that incident, I stayed on the streets up until I turned 21. Then I left. Traveled through New York and California, not taking a straight route and then headed off to London."

He was happy for the circular booth, this meant he was sitting right next to her, he put his arm over her shoulder defensivily, whatever happened had hurt her badly, he could hear it in her voice, "i'm sorry," he said softly. He wondered what kind of monster could hurt a girl like Ali.
He tried to get the conversation away from her pain, he didn't like to see her so sad. "New York, that is a city and a half, I kind of like it though, always something open." In the outskirts of Paris where he lived he always had trouble finding something that was open late. He was glad she said she was over twenty one, she looked small, frail, he'd been beginning to wonder if she was too young for him. He was very happy to hear she wasn't.

Ali glanced at him when he put his arm around her. She smiled and her eyes brightened. Him being so close made her so happy. She scooted closer to him without thinking and leaned her head on his shoulder. He seemed to have a natural way of calming her down. She breathed in his scent and sighed in silent relief. His scent was lovely, even if she couldnt tell what it was.
She listened to him quietly as he talked about New York and she nodded with a small smile. "Yep. The city that never sleeps. Its true. Everything happens all the time. Especially at night. Never any peace and quiet. Which...Im used to....hard sleeping in an alley on the strip in vegas hoping no sound was there. You get used to it."

In a alley as he heard the words his heart felt like it was breaking, he couldn't imagine not living somewhere, not having someplace to lay his head at night. He thought of the things he took for granted. Landon liked his peace and quiet sometimes, like when he was writing, and especially when he was trying to get some shut-eye.
He wondered if she had some place to stay tonight, did she have a apartment here? Or was she going to leave in that beautiful dress, sleep in a alley, and never be heard from again. The thought upsetted Landon greatly, the thought of her sleeping in a alley, and especially never hearing from her again. He didn't want to say anything, it would be to forward, to inappropriate. But he wouldn't let her leave with out knowing she had a good place to stay, or he would get her a room himself. Landon decided he would ask after dinner, but for now he'd just let her enjoy, especially since he seen the waitress coming with their orders.

Ali glanced at him since he hadnt said anything. She looked at him sadly and she touched his cheek gently with her hand. "Im sorry. I made you upset. I shouldn't have said anything. My past is dark and sad. Not a good topic for dinner. Especially not here. Not in such a lovely place." She whispered. This is what she had meant that she had a way of getting rid of people. Just spend time with her and she could depress you with one story. HER story.
But she stopped as the waitress came with the food. She noticed the look she was given by her that she was so close to Landon so she leaned up again and sat there sullenly. As the plate was put in front of her she smiled slightly. It looked wonderful and she was starving. In both ways. But the one craving she could satisfy later...away from him. She didnt want him to think of her like that. The killer. The death dealer.

Landon was a little suprised by her reaction to his silence, he gave a small smile, "I asked, you shouldn't ask if you can't take any answer you are given." Landon decided no matter what he would continue asking questions, learn more about her, he could take the answers. He wondered what he would say around his 'time of the month' which he'd titled like that strickly for his own amusment during a time that could cause death. He wondered how he could lie about what he was, he was such a bad liar. He took relief in the fact he assumed the question would never come up. She'd never know.
His sensitive nose picked up on everything about the meals as they were put down in front of him and Ali. He gave a cheezy grin, "try it," he had her fork in his hand and a noodle expertly twirld around the fork, for her.

Ali took a deep breath and smelt the lovely food. Even his steak smelt wonderful. But that was his food. She had this amazing pasta in front of her. And she smiled when he took her fork and offered her some of her own food. She chuckled and then bit off the food and she smiled wider. "Amazing! That tastes so amazing!" And she wasnt over doing it. She truly felt that.
Ali took the fork from his fingers gently and then started to eat her food gently. She hadnt had so much of something delicious in a long time. She stopped slightly and poked him in the arm gently. "Go on. Eat up. Dont mind me." She winked and took another bite, "Or am I going to have to force you to eat?"

Landon chuckled, "no, i'm good," he said making the first incision into his steak happily, content now knowing that she was going to enjoy her dish, "i'm famished, I really don't need much of a push." He jabbed the meat with his fork and put it in his mouth, it was fantastic, he was happy the resteraunt lived up to it's reputation. He took a sip of ice water before continuing to cut through the meat, he didn't know what to say, he'd brought up one topic and it had only brought her pain, now he was kind of afraid to say anything, he wanted to know more, but didn't want her to repeat painful experiences. He decided to carefully pick out his questions till he knew her better, he didn't want to scare her off. He ate while thinking. (OCC: off to bed, reply tomorrow falling asleep on keyboard)

Ali chuckled and watched him quietly. "I can see that." She said with a smile. She continued to eat her own food as well. She was running through her mind about topics they could talk about. She understood he was scared. The one question he had asked had made her sad and he didnt want that. But she would answer anything really.
She blinked as she realized she had finished her food. "Oh..." She said and chuckled. She shoved her bowl away slightly and leaned back. She was content watching him now. He was handsome and interesting. She wanted to know about him more as well. But she would let him ask her questions first. "So. I can figure you have more questions. Ask away. I dont mind answering. Nasty sad emotion is locked away. Promise." She said and raised a hand. "Scouts honor."

"Scouts honor huh?" Landon chuckled finishing off his own meal, he took a sip of ice water thinking. The tables near by were being waited on, it was getting to be a bit noisy with all the young new comers, some people you could dress up but just couldn't take out. He caught one of the men at the other table looking at Ali, Landon smirked to him before putting his arm over Ali's shoulder again, once he looked into her eyes he forgot about the man. He vaguely wondered what her family was like, but since she talked about sleeping in a alleyway he figured that she either something tragic happened or she didn't want to be around her family. "Favorite colour?" He asked finally, starting with harmless questions still seemed to be the safe route. Besides he was curious, he wanted to know everything about her.
