I'm sorry, I'm not saying that we have to have witches or anything, but why are they any more of a stretch than vampires and werewolves? There are people out there who really and truly believe that they are witches. At the very least there are people out there that practice wicca, so how are vampires and werewolves more believable than witches?
I just really want to know the answer to that. This isn't like saying 'give me witches dammit' or any such thing it's just confusing to me.

Halloween-y whichever with the hats and the brew pot and magic wand are just as out there as vampires, could have figured that out with the clumping with fairies. Ihatecaaaaaaaaats. Since everyone's all hyped on it- BWP is as open minded as I go with this xD I refuse to change the new skin's aesthetics to accommodate cats. -inspects nails- But I do feel bad for the vampire pwnage over were's xD always have. But that's not the discussion here. It's about how fucking icky cats are!

Well I didn't mean witches like that, I meant witches like on charmed. Look like normal people, are normal people that just have some sort of power. You know, like the ability to change into an animal at will.

THE CRIMSON KISS - A MODERN SUPERNATURAL RPG
Or something to that extent, Ellie dear. You don't actually have to make the title longer by adding Werepanthers.
The way I see it, the more the merrier to a certain extent. I'm against adding fairies, unicorns, and leprechauns to the site, simply because there's only a certain amount of supernatural creatures one can handle before it all becomes a little too ridiculous. But the idea of werecats or werepanthers isn't a too far-fetched idea, if you ask me. I mean, we have weredoggies running around... the idea that a werepanther could exist is pretty likely.
Werecats can be great for the entire board by adding an interesting plot and giving us vampires something new to play with. Of course, I'm assuming that werekittens and werepuppies would probably fight like ... well, cats and dogs (pun definitely intended). Meanwhile, while vampires get a break from dog-sitting, we also get this curious feeling of finding out more about this new species and whether or not we accept them ourselves.
But I'm going no further than werecats. Maybe witches would be interesting, but I can see far too many people taking a witch too far and trying to do things along the lines of godmodding with it. So, werecats in. Witches in question, all other mythical creatures out.
Thats my sexy take on it. Purrrr, come to me my little kitties.

Not overruled by far Ells. I have a strong dislike for the idea. Crimson Kiss has been a vampire&werewolf RP from the very start. I hate change like this, and cats, especially my own. Please, CK is beautiful enough, don't put paws over it by bringing in..other..wereats, or faeries. Please for the love of my sanity..I just can never see CK being a vampire&werewolf&werecat..or whatever the heck you guys want..
it seems kind of cheesy to me.

CK started off as a Vampire - Human only rpg in the beginning with werewolves being a later addition.
Give the idea a chance.
Can't knock it unless you try it.
I obviously support this idea.

I can confirm Cas's statement. CK originally opened as a Vampire and Human RPG. I really didn't want werewolves. I thought it'd make CK weird, and people wouldn't join. The point of CK was supposed to be an awesome, realistic modern day vampire RPG with no other supernatural creatures. An RPG such as this didn't exist. I wanted one, I assumed other people were looking for one, so CK was born. When werewolves were presented as an idea to me after CK had a bit of inactivity for a while, I VERY reluctantly added werewolves. I still hated the idea of werewolves, but I did it anyway to increase activity, and so it did. CK was supposed to be a modern day vampire RPG. The one's out there sucked, so I wanted to start a really good one that people looking for an awesome vamp RP would join. Werewolves were added a year later Keep an open-mind, guys. Just like you don't like werepanthers, I did not like the idea of werewolves at all when someone recommended adding them. Werewolves saved CK from death. Without the addition of werewolves, you wouldn't have a CK. Even if you don't like werepanthers, they could grow on you. I love werewolves now. Maybe you'll love werepanthers later. Keep the werepanther debate going! Whoever didn't post yet, do so! All the credit and thanks goes to Cas. It was his idea from the very start!

so that makes it two versions of were? Well then we as vamps should have some form of hybrid. It's only fair.
BUT KEEP IT IN A BWP. and try it out. Let's not go rash and have you create a werepanther whateverthefuckit'scalled and revamp the whole species outlook.
If and when it ends.....Can I demolish the lot of them? heehee

It still comes down to open mindedness. The boards not going to be flooded with a dozen panthers in a weeks time. It will just be a few. It will have no impact on your character unless your character interacts with one icly. Im not saying its going to be a WerePanther revolution. CK will still be primarily Vampires and Werewolves but with Panthers as a side species to add... some spice -giggles- lol
Trust us, we worked out all the details on this. I did not go at this half-assed with fang. When I have a idea im a stickler for detail and ensured it was as feasible as possible. Its in control and I promise you Ellie, if it gets out of hand; if it starts to get out of control, it will be stopped.
Im looking at this from a story perspective. Its fun, unique, different and adds that little extra spice to the lives of whatever character were to interact with the panther.

Fair? Werewolves can be killed by EVERYTHING....vampires can be killed by sunlight, fire, and beheading...that three to INFINITY. Not to mention that vampires are always fully in control of themselves and can pretty much do anything except tan.
Though I myself do not have the same "werewolves are so mistreated on CK" feelings that others do, let's not get into how having like five werepanthers is going to be unfair to the vampires.
Which lets not forget, have been attributed in many legends as being gods.
Edit: I just went back and read the creature abilities threads...even decapitation doesn't kill them, so that's TWO ways to die(both of which take a while to truly kill them and which if they escape from fast enough they can heal from) versus the myriad of ways a werebeing can be killed.

Panthers are completely mortal and NO different from werewolves except by what they shift into. Same strengths, same weaknesses.

I'm definitely against the vampire hybrids, but still for the werecats.
I mean, really all this is a werewolf ... except it forms into a panther. That's it. It's not a crazy concept by any means. It's just a cat, and they would also provide a neutral party with the whole vamps vs mutts thing. You have a creature that will most likely not get along with the dogs, but not necessarily get along with the leeches either. It could make up for some very interesting relationships with the characters already on the board.
But I'm definitely not for the vamp hybrids.
