Ali chuckled and shook her head. She put her hand on his check once again and said, "I didnt say that. I can handle candles and lighters. Its more of...big fires that scare me. Like im more afraid around fireplaces. And so I just avoid them. I dont need them anyway. My skin is always cold. It never warms. So whats the point? But small fires im fine with." She has noticed his sad look as he listed off the list.
Ali shook her head slightly. "I promise Landon...If I ever see you change...You wont hurt me. One, if you tried, I would run. If you chased and caught me...I would probably punch you...to say the least..." She looked away and laughed. She wasnt sure if she could hurt him. But she could tell him that. She pushed that aside and looked him staright into the eyes, "Im fine with pyhsical pain. I can take that. But emotional? It kills me....Thats why I avoid most people...."

If, and what a big IF that is going to be. Landon knew his family saw him as a disappointment, they weren't going to see him as a monster too. He'd ran from them after he'd figured out what he was. He couldn't run from Ali thought, he realized that already. He could have let her walk out, perhaps that was the smarter thing he could have done. If she were gone, he couldn't hurt her. It was safer not to have werewolves as friends.
Yet he hadn't been able to do it. He had to stop her. He couldn't let her go. If he was going to stay around her, he wouldn't let her see what he was, he was going to do everything to make sure she wasn't the one who shows up dead on the news. He hugged her tightly, she seemed small, fragile. Of course he knew better, a vampire, she was strong. "If that happens, it'd be better if you shot me."

Ali watched him as she saw him thinking. She wondered what was goign through his mind. So many thoughts were pounding in her own and each one wanted to be heard. But she only had so much room to take it all in. She was content, more then content with him. She loved it when he talked with her or just looked at her. She also loved his hugs.
However, she didnt like what he had just said to her. Her eyes widened in shock and she couldnt breathe for a minute. She looked up at him, since he was so tall, and shook her head. She gave him a stern look and said, "Dont you dare say that! Dont you dare! I could never hurt you. Not at all. I dont think I could even bite at you. Not even if my life was threatened. There is no way I will shoot you."

Landon was a little shocked by her furious reaction, her look that could have struck fear into others just underlined the fact that there wasn't anything that she would do if he turned wolf and started ripping things to shreds. He didn't even know what happened in thoses hours, somedays he awoke in wooded areas, others in alleyways drenched in someone elses blood. He frowned, "than you better be far away from me when the full moon comes around."
She'd just spoke his worst fears, if he did get out of control, she wouldn't do anything. Even if she came out fine at the end of the night it would eat away at him, kill him from the inside out. "It probably wouldn't kill me," Landon said as a after thought probably "most likely it would just make me come to my senses..." or put me down

Ali was still horrified by the thought. She couldnt do that. She just couldnt. She liked him to much to even hurt him at all. She shook her head sternly and said, "Im not taking that chance. You say probably. Well you know...probably is to much of a risk. I wont take that risk an find out your dead after i shoot! I wont do it!" She said and then looked away and closed her eyes quickly.
She could feel a slight twinge in her nose, meaning she was about to cry. She hated crying and she especially didnt want to cry in front of him. How weak would she look then? A crying vampire. It was enough to make her laugh. But no matter how hard she tried. The tears slipped through and ran down her pale cheek.

"Well-" he stopped his sentence when she looked away, he could see her trying to hold herself together, but he seen it, the tears that ran down her pale face. He moved in front of her, and his hand ran over her jaw line, curving under her chin he forced her to look up, "we will figure this out okay Ali. I don't want to see you get hurt, and you don't want to shoot me... so we will just becareful around my time of the month," he said his mouth turning into a half smile.
"It'll work, I haven't hurt anyone I cared about so..." Landon shrugged, the others, yes it kept him up at night, knowing what kind of a monster he was, but in the end, he didn't know them, didn't care he didn't remember. But her... he'd remember.

Ali had tried to not look at him as best she could. She hated the traitor tears running down her cheeks at the moment. She hadnt cried in a long time and she didnt want to right now but she couldnt stop them from coming. Then Landon made her look at him and she tried holding in those tears. It just made her eyes water up and burn. So of course a few leaked out. She wiped those away quickly and then sighed at him.
But she smiled slightly at his little joke. "Funny..." She said with mild sarcasm in her voice. It was like Ali was deflated. No emotion left for her to give. Like those rotten tears had taken everything out of her. "I wont do anything to hurt you. I dont care if im hurt...I have been hurt my whole life...whats a little more? But you? Im not letting anything harm you. Even if it hurts me."
((It feels so nice to be home!))

Landon frowned again, anything hurt him huh? Really not much could, sure he was mortal, but he was stronger, faster, healed quicker. Human things could still take him down, but nothing had hurt him yet. "I'm still making sure you are far away when the full moon comes around, in fact, you stay in somewhere, locked down" he murmured, "you don't know the monsters that come out under the full moons rays."
He gentaly wiped away the remainder of her tears, she looked emotionally exhasuted and he couldn't help but feel a bit guilty for it. "Are you tired?" he asked, then thought a moment before asking, "wait, do you even sleep?" So many legends about vampires, before this night he'd figured them myths. Werewolves were real, he knew first hand, he knew the limitations. Vampires though, he knew nothing about.

Ali looked at him gently and then smiled slightly when he told her she would be in lockdown. "You dont have to put me in a lockdown. Before I met you I was by myself walking the nights of full moons just fine. And nothing happened. Im tougher then you think." She told him and tapped him on the nose gently with her fingertip. Lots of people took her for granted. It was normally their mistake.
She had to smirk slightly when he asked if she even slept at all. She nodded though and said, "We do. We dont have to a lot of the times but lots of us choose to. Makes us more energized. But im fine. Im not tired." The last part was a lie....but she didnt want to trouble him. She could just sit in one of the dark corners and wait for the sun to set.

"I don't doubt that you are tough," Landon said, "I just don't like the thought of you walking around when werewolves aren't even aware of anything around them." It was the worst part about being a werewolve, no control one night out of the month. A damned curse, people, usually innocent people got slaughtered all because they didn't know what was going on much less in any kind of control to stop it from happening.
He looked at her, he wasn't good at reading people, but he did look at detail in everything he did since he had to write about it for work. Her eyes were tired, that he noticed, "there are two bedrooms in here," Landon said "just incase you get sleepy." Even though looking into here eyes he could tell. The hotel room was nice, but it wasn't home-ish at all. The paintings were duplicates, done in bulk, all the other rooms probably had the same ones. The couches were a fake leather, the television got cable and came in perfectly clear. The bedrooms were identical, faced the same way, had their own belconies. A queen sized bed and dresser. For a home away from home, he had to admit it was pretty good, but he still missed his home in Paris, he wasn't to be in this area for much longer, he'd finished his reviews. He was to head home on a noon hour flight the next morning. He was now thinking of 'convieniently forgetting.'

Ali sighed slightly as he explained his fear for her. She could understand that as well but she hadnt been attacked yet and she didnt plan on throwing herself in front of danger. But she also didnt want him to worry so much that he would put her in a lockdown just to protect her. She wasnt that important anyway. And she was about to bring that up when he told her there was two rooms. She sighed in deafeat and said, "You wont give up until I sleep huh?" She had the feeling that was the case.
Then another thought crossed her mind. "Oh...I forgot...when do you have to go back home?" She wondered when his flight was. It couldnt be to far away from now and even though she didnt want to think about not seeing him again there was that possibility. Sure, she could run into him on the street in Paris but the odds of that happening were not high.

Landon frowned, "I was trying to forget!" He chuckled a bit, "tomorrow at noon. I can skip it though..." he thought of the responsibilities that he had at home. He really shouldn't skip the flight, bills were piling up on his door step, newspapers, work papers, he needed to pick up his car from the garage at the airport before it got towed he only had it paid up till he got back.
"Tell me, Ali, have you ever seen Paris?" He questioned leading her to the living room, at least then they could get off their feet, he wouldn't make her sleep, he enjoyed her complany too much. If she went to sleep though he wouldn't be disappointed he covered up a yawn himself.

Ali laughed as he mentioned he was trying to forget. She shook her head and said, "You cant just forget. You have to go home. Everyone has to go home eventually and Im sure you have your great life waiting for you back at home. You dont need to mess things up just because of an odd starnger showed up at your doorstep."
She followed him into the living room though and sat down on the couch. It was comfortable and she leaned her head against the back of the couch. She hadnt been this comfy in a while. "Nope. I havent seen Paris. My travels hadnt taken me there yet. I was planning to later though."

Landon sat down next to her silent for a moment, nervous. "You should come with me then," Landon wasn't one to be forward, but all he could hear was her speaking of alleyways like it was home, "I think you would like it there. And you wouldn't be messing up anything, I've lived in Paris nearly two years now I don't have much of a social life, in fact it could be nice living around someone again." He was twenty seven now, he had left his home, his family when he was eighteen and never spoke to them again, he kind of missed company.
The stars in the sky were sparkling, but fading fast, he stood and shut the heavy navy blue blinds. He didn't want to be reminded that morning was near. He didn't want to think of flying alone.

Ali looked at him with kind eyes and smiled at him. He was being straight forward and she thought that was cute. She could tell he was nervous and she touched his cheek gently and said, "I dont have a plane ticket. And Im not going to have you buy me one. You have bought me enough already. I cant ask for more."
She shook her head slightly and removed her hand. "Im about the same. I normally dont interact with people. For reason I told you before. I seem to scare them off...And no one truly likes me." She shrugged though and looked him in the eyes. "Since this might possibly be the last time I see you....How about we enjoy the few hours left. Deal?"
