Ashling yawned as she listened, but she certainly was not going to stop Jaysin from playing. It was rather relaxing to listen to someone else play for a change. Ashling stifled another yawn and glanced up at the clock. Her eyes widened. Her green eyes glanced over at Jaysin and from his posture, she gathered he just might be kinda tired.
Ashling stood and streched. "well, you are quite the musician. I am very impressed." She walked up to him, bending slightly to get at eye level with him.She smiled softly at her pianist for the evening and sighed. "I had a wonderful time. It has been a pleasure getting to know you, Jaysin."
She stood straight and turnd to the clock. "I would love to stay, but you look like you could use some sleep. And I know some people can't rest easily with a starnger on their couch. So..." Ashling looked back down to him, her grin placed firmly on her face. "I will head out to find my appartment so you can get some rest. Hopefully we will meet again before I head home." She reached into her jacket pocket and pulled a car from her wallet. "This is the phone and address to my pub in NY, the Clover. Drop by anytime."

"I had a wonderful time. It has been a pleasure getting to know you, Jaysin."
"Aww, you want to leave already?" He acted as if he didn't have any knowledge as to how late it really was. He shook his head slightly as she commented about people being uneasy with having a 'stranger' sleeping on their couch. To him, she wasn't a stranger at all. If she did end up spending the night, he would be the one on the couch and she would be offered the bed.
He propped his leg up on the piano bench to face her better. "Really it's no big deal if you want to stay the night. You can sleep on the bed and once you wake up tomorrow, I can take you straight to your hotel." Rubbing the back of his head with his right hand, he narrowed his eyes towards the clock again fighting back a yawn.
"Or if you're not comfortable staying here, let me at least take you where you need to go or pay for your cab ride." He slowly pushed himself up off the bench, stretching his arms up above his head. He walked over to the small coffee table and grabbed one of the pencils and a small sheet of paper. "Here," he started as he turned towards the wall, placing the paper up against it. He began jotting his number down, quietly whispering it to himself.
"Five, five, five, zero, four, zero, four." He handed her the paper with a thoughtful smile. "Just incase you decide to leave, here's my number." He took the card she offered back to him and looked it over. "Thanks."

Ashling smiled and plucked the paper from Jaysin's fingers, tucking it into her back pocket. "Well...: she grinned. "Since you are so kind as to offer your bed, I guess I can stay..." She leaned up against a wall, in between two guitars. "I do hate to take your bed from you though..." She bit down on her thumbnail as she looked at Jaysin, in full thought mode.
'Hmm...' she thought. 'I wonder if he would think me too forward?' Ashling was the type to share a bed constantly. Her friend would feel perfectly comfortable laying next to her, assured that she wasn't going to molest them in their sleep. It was common place, but...She and her friends had always been uncommonly close.
Ashling smiled and sighed. 'No point in acting like someone else and being all shy...' she chastised herself. "Hey, man. Why don't we just share the damn bed. I would hate to hafta push you out to the couch. I mean..." Ashling shrugged. "It is your bed after all..." Ashling looked to the ceiling for a second. "That is...Unless it's a really small bed...In which case..."

Pulling his wallet out of his back pocket, he watched as she shoved the piece of paper in her back pocket. He pried his wallet opened and shoved her card into one of the free slots. He pressed the black wallet shut and shoved it back to where it belonged. Taking a mental note, he told himself to remember to put her number into his cell phone later once it was charged. He knew that it was dead by now since he had been using it throughout the day.
"Since you are so kind as to offer your bed, I guess I can stay..."
Though Jaysin was thrilled, he tried to hide his excitement, not wanting her to think he was a creep or anything. He hadn't brought a woman home before. Back when he was in Japan he would usually take girls to a 'love hotel' for... Well, you know.
When she offered the idea of them sharing the bed he quirked a brow. Was she serious? They had just met a few hours ago and she wanted to sleep in the same bed? That confused Jaysin but he wasn't going to turn the opportunity down. He let out a soft chuckle as she mentioned the bed being small. He knew it was a good idea to get a California King bed.
"My bed is far from small." he said, followed by another soft laugh.

Ashling's grin widend when he commented on his large bed. "Great!" she said exhuberantly. "I haven't slept next to anyone in..." Ashling did the math in her head. "Umm...three...four...FIVE months!" She pouted a bit at that. "Man...I miss the warmth..."
She turned and shuffled through her jacket until she found her phone. She texted the address to her friend so someone would know where she was. She stood and waited for the reply she knew would come. And it came long. Oh! The horrors of California and staying with a stranger in a strange city and did Ashling have any idea what she could be getting herself into. Ashling smirked and rolled her eyes. Silly, sweet perfect friends. She loved them all.
She tucked her phone into her jacket again after a text war and grinned up at Jaysin. "Ok! My friend knows where I am, so he can't freak out when he checks on me at the hotel and finds me missing." She bent and removed her swede boots and set them aside of the couch, under her dangling jacket. She streched out, sitting on the couch. "Are you tired now? Or are you still in a playing mood?"

While she typed away on her phone he slipped out of his shirt and tossed it into the laundry room which was only a few paces away from them. He always thought the placement of the laundry room itself was weird but he loved his apartment regardless. He waited patiently for her to finish her text war and threw her a grin when she put her phone away. He normally slept in just a pair of boxers but this time he figured he put one of his pajama pants to use.
Gesturing for her to follow him, he walked over to the staircase that lead to his bedroom. Once he got to the top he flipped on a light, revealing his rather large bedroom to her. Instead of walls surrounding his sleeping area, there were large windows all around showing off a great view of the city. Most of the windows were covered with thick maroon colored curtains. He never felt comfortable walking around his bedroom in just his boxers with the curtains pulled all the way back. Who knew what kind of people would be watching him.
His bed sat in the middle up against the thick glass window and on each side were small black wooden night stands. One held an alarm clock and the other a small lamp. On the left side of the room was his mini recording studio and on the right side a simple desk where he drew or painted. "And this is where I sleep." he announced.

Ashling stepped into the room and looked around her, her eyes wide. 'God!' she thought. 'Those windows had to have cost this place a fortune!' She turned and glanced at Jaysin and smirked. Already getting ready for bed, striping as he went. The red-head shook her head softly. He had about as much shame as her.
"Hey!" she started aloud. "Do you have any extra button ups or t-shirts at all?" She normally wouldn't ask, but it was uncomfortable and difficult to sleep in denim and the type of shirt she was wearing. Denim was too thick for California mornings once the sun hit her, and the top...Well...There was barely any top...So it simply would not do.
Ashling looked through the glass of the windows as she stood next to the bed. She was carefull to keep her hands in her pockets for fear of unconsiously placing her hand on the glass. Hand print smudges were no fun to wash off of such large windows. Ashling new such things from her life with her parents in Ireland.

Walking across his room, he made his way over to his large dresser which was set near the mini studio. He pulled open the top drawer and began flipping through his many tops. "Uhh..." he let out as he looked around for an oversized shirt. Finally spotting one which was tucked underneath everything, he pulled it out, unfolding it for her. "Here ya go."
He walked back to her and handed her the light grey shirt. He opened the door to the bathroom for her which was directly to the right of the top of the staircase. "If you want something else just let me know. I'll find something else for you."
With that said, he made his way back over to his dresser and opened the bottom drawer, looking for the pair of pajama pants he rarely wore. They were set right on top of the stack of other clothes he seldomly wore. He turned back and waited for her to step into the restroom before kicking off his jeans and switched into the black and white checkered pj's.
He left the pair of jeans on the wooden floor and walked over to the bed, peeling the blanket off of the bunch of pillows. He fluffed a few of them for her then sat at the edge of the bed, looking out the window. The sky had began to turn a light orangey color. The sun was beginning to come up already.

Ashling stepped into the bathroom and quickly stripped, pulling the shirt on. It came down to her midthigh. Ashling raised an eyebrow. She hadn't really expected one of his shirts would reach that low. He didn't seem that much bigger than her. 'This must be baggy on him,' she thought to herself.
Ashling reached back and pulled her hairtie out. She styled her red hair into a braid and replaced the hairtie. No need for tangles in the morning. She folded her jeans and shirt nicely into a pile and set them aside, opening the door.
She paused in the doorway and chuckled a bit at the sight before her. "Haha! You look so uncomfortable, Jaysin! What's wrong?" Jaysin was sitting up in the bed like he was expecting the ceiling to cave in at any moment and he was going to bolt for the door.

Other than the clock ticking below in the dining area, all he could hear was her hustling around the bathroom as she changed. He let out a soft laugh and watched as the sun slowly began peeking over the horizon. He was tempted to pull all the curtains closed but left them be. She might want to see the sunrise once she comes out.
Hearing the door finally click open he turned away from the window and looked over to her. He smiled sheepishly at her. She looked cute in the oversized shirt and her hair braided. Sometimes Jaysin wished he could do something like that with his hair so he wouldn't wake up with a funky hair do every morning. Oh well, who was he trying to impress?
"Haha! You look so uncomfortable, Jaysin! What's wrong?"
Immediately he looked down towards his pajama pants then back up at her. "Uhmm, well..." He ran his hands over the pants, flattening them out a bit. "Just not used to wearing these that's all." Pausing for a moment, he debated whether or not to tell her how he normally slept. "I usually sleep in just boxers but I'll be fine."

Ashling smiled softly. "Well, quite the gentleman, aren't we...?" She wasn't going to make mention of what she normal wore, or didn't, to bed. He was uncomfortable as it was. "No need to be uncomfortable around me, Jaysin. I won't bite..." The woman walked quietly passed him and looked over the city.
"Mmm..." she hummed, her hands on her hips and her head tilted to one side, a soft smile on her lips. "What a beautiful picture...I know someone who would love for this to be in front of her camera..." Ashling spoke of a night-owl neighbor of her's that would often visit her pub. Only ever at night, though.
Ashling linked her fingers together behind her back and looked over her shoulder at Jaysin. "You're so lucky, to be able to have such an image each day..." Her grin widened. "I get misty mornings and rain, accompanied by chilled air..." Her green eyes were sparkling in the light from the sunrise, her hair seeming to glow as a crimson halo around her head. "It's too hot for me here, though..."

"No need to be uncomfortable around me, Jaysin. I won't bite..."
That was quite tempting. He felt restrained in these checkered pants and it was too hot to be wearing them. His eyes followed her as she moved over to the window, looking out at the view. It didn't surprise him that she enjoyed it. For him it was an every day thing so it didn't excite him anymore.
Quietly he stretched his legs out and began slipping out of the pajama pants, hoping she didn't hear. His plan was to quickly slip out of them and dive right under the covers. He let out a soft "Mhmm." to let her know that he was listening. Somewhat anyways. He was too preoccupied in getting his pants off before she looked back at him.
Too late. He had only gotten one leg out of the pants when she looked over her shoulder. He smiled sheepishly, feeling his cheeks warm up as he blushed. He simply kicked off the pants and pulled one of the pillows over his lap. "It doesn't get too hot here. To me anyways." He was still blushing. How embarrassing.

ashling noticed his embarassment and chuckled, too tired to make a big deal of it. No need for that, really. Embarassing men was a specialty of her's simply because she had little to no shame. She was kinda put out by that from time to time...But she got over it fairly quickly. The right guy would get over it...Or get used to it...One or the other.
Ashling sat on the other side of the bed and brought her knees up to her chest, resting her chin on them as she wrapped her arms around her legs. "Feel free to hide yourself under the blankets." She covered her eyes with one hand. "I promise not to look!"
Ashling was displaying more of herself than she had in some time. But she was calm and relaxed, perfectly comfortable with herself. And it showed. She exuded confidence and cheerfulness. Let the poor man be embarassed. She would do you best not to make it worse.

It had been a couple of days since he had Ashling over. The night she had slept over went well. He had made her something to eat once they both got up then brought her back to the place she was staying at. Now he had invited her over for dinner knowing that she was going to be heading back to New York soon. He wanted to see her one last time before she left. Who knew when they'd see eachother again.
Since he only had one hand to work with seeing that his left arm was in a sling, he decided to take her out to a restaurant instead of cooking for her. He figured it would be a lot better than having food catered to them. The food always came cold anyways. He already had an idea as to where he could take her and hoped it was something she would enjoyed. She seemed to be a down to earth girl anyways so he wasn't too worried about it.
It felt like it took him hours to get dressed. It was difficult doing anything with just one hand. The huge bite mark on his shoulder didn't help much either. It was way too sensitive. No matter how much gauze he wrapped around the wound, it still stung at the lightest touch.
The occurrence that had happened only two nights prior at the beach came to mind. How would he tell Ashling what happened to his arm? Should he lie to her or just tell her the truth? He was sure that she would think he was crazy if he told him a damned werewolf attacked him. He decided to just wing it.
Once dressed he threw his new leather jacket on, letting it hide the sling and slipped his uninjured arm through the sleeve. His old leather jacket had gotten ruined by the lycan that attacked him. It was his favorite too. He jogged down the flight of stairs, leaving his room and sat on the couch to throw his shoes on, waiting patiently for Ashling to finally arrive.

Ashling fluffed the fur on her half jacket that was denim lined with faux fox fur. She rearranged her emerald green top and ended up in front of the correct building in no time, without having watched where she was going. She looked at her reflection in the glass door and smiled one of her bright smile. 'Oh, whatever!' she thought to herself as she passed through into the building. "Hi, Paul!" she waved gleefully at the security guard.
She stopped at the elevators just as they opened up. 'What luck,' she thought as she stepped into the now empty elevator. She pushed the button for the appropriate button and pulled out her phone. She had forgotten to text her friend. Within seconds he knew who she was with. But not where they were going, which irked him for some reason. Ashling rolled her eyes, shaking her head and smirking.
When Ashling reached Jaysin's door she stopped, standing with her hands on her hips, feet shoulder width apart and facing it like she was challenging to remain closed and in her way. After a minute or so, she burst out chuckling. She had been waiting for it to open for her like the elevator, Jaysin on the other side grinning. But her luck wasn't so great that Jaysin would know exactly when she was coming over. Oh, well. She knocked on the door.
