Turning (Lars)

[Ellie]

He layed his head down on the tree by her head after kissing her with his bloody lip. Hopefully some of that blood had seeped through into her stream. Then that was it. It was done, at least he hoped. Lars had never turned anyone into a vampire before.

He thought about his body that was still pressed firmly up to her pinning her against the tree. He quickly removed it in lightening speed. "I'm sorry", he said quietly as he leaned up against another tree about 2 feet away.

Colbie fell to the ground, suprised that most of her weight had been held up by Lars. She could taste his blood in her mouth still, it lingered on her lips, staining them red. She touched them lightly, what the hell just happened? Now that Lars was away from her her heart started to slow down, she tried to sort out what had just happened, she looked up at him, "what are you?" she questioned thinking she already knew the answer. And what does that make me?

[Ellie]

Lars slip down to be at her level and sat with his knees up to his chest. He let the corner of his mouth turn up a bit when she voiced her question. "A vampire", he looked her in the yes. "I'm a vampire...and so are you I think, or maybe in time you will be", he said a little confused himself. He looked down and began plucking up little blades of grass between his fingers in the awkwardness of the moment.

Colbie sat in silence. What did this mean for her. Lifetimes in darkness. Never to see the sun again you never liked the sun all that much The more she thought about it the more she realized she wasn't going to miss much about being a mortal. Except perhaps pringles chips and ice cream.

"I'm going to have to drink blood." She said, not a question but a statement, and not to Lars in preticular, just as thought that sliped through her lips. She brought her knees to her chin and hugged her legs for some sort of comfort to herself.

Lars smiled down at her. "Don't worry you'll like it", he thought for a moment to think back a few years when he was in her position, "Yah. You'll like it. It's not so bad though...being a vampire. You get used to it." It was snowing now and the flakeswere coming down through the trees and imbedding themselves in his clothing and hair. Lars shook his=mself a little to make them fly off. Then he looked over at Colbie sitting with her legs up by the tree. No rush.

The snow landed softly on her hair, her skin, and over her clothing. She looked up to the still lightly lit sky throught the tree leaves. She held out her hand and caught a few of the flakes. Her hand went to her neck, the bites vampire She opened her mouth and ran a finger over her teeth, either they had yet to change or they changed only when feeding. She didn't know, she drew her hand away, her mind was deep in thought, her stomach rummbled.

Colbie didn't like the idea of taking someones life to suport her own, but she wasn't about to let herself perish. And did she have to kill them? After all she was a bite for Lars, but he didn't kill her. She sat in silence thinking, absently looking at Lars.

He stared back with a flat face thinking on his own. He thought about what he would do now. He had basically a brand new 'baby' on his hand to look after now. Ofcourse he could always run now and leave her to fend for herself, but he was a little more intrested.

He looked down then back up. The snow was falling faster now and his hair was getting cold and damp. "You wanna go now?" he asked still intending to guide her back home.

It took a few moments before Colbie fully processed the words. She played them over in her mind. She slowly got to her feet and dusted the snowflakes off of her clothing before crossing her arms trying to keep warm. "Go," she said quietly, her voice cracked and weak. She cleared her throat and tried again "Go. I want to go." She replied her voice was back with her.

She took a couple steps, then remembered she didn't know the way. Home. What would home be like for her now. The open appartment with lots of windows that let in the sun, she had bought it for that reason... well not so much for the sun, but so she could see more of the night sky. Would sun really burn her? Was that just a legend? She had many questions for Lars, but she didn't want to ask them, not yet anyways, she was tired from the nights ordeal.

"Home? Are you taking me home?" She felt very disoriented in the woods, beyond which way was up and which was down she was completely lost. She couldn't direct herself north, nor could she remember how to get out of the woods.

"Yeah", he said quietly to her. Deciding at this point it would be better to let her keep to her own thoughts now. He walked infront of her and started to go the correct direction out of the woods. He knew where he was going all along, he'd played in these woods when he was small, rummaged through them as a teenager and did alot of fooling like he had done tonight in them. Although those previous episodes never ended so...merciful. If you'd like to put it that way.

"Don't worry, this time I'll truely lead you out", he started turing a little to find her with his eyes, "And if you feel funny or you know something, just ask."

Colbie had many questions, but decided for now it would be best to keep it simple and on the need to know. She walked at a even pace keeping up fairly well with Lars. She thought for a moment what was the most important question a few were floating around. "How many others have you turned?" The words fummbled from her mouth even though she had wanted to ask if sun light could actually kill her. Instead of questining him in a line se just left it till he answered then perhaps she could get her words to come out right.

[Ellie]

"Zero", he said holding a thick branch back to mkae her laboured walk easier. "You're my first actually", he said again once the obstacle was out of the way. "I've only a been a vampire for a few years now", he smiled, "Not an exact expert on everything yet."

"Hmm," Colbie continued following, she didn't know what to think, did it make a difference, first or hundreth in the mind of a vampire? Her body felt light, she wondered vaguely if it was from the blood loss or not. She didn't feel light headed or anything, in fact she was starting to feel pretty good again.

She prepared her next question in her head, formed the words and placed them in a sentence she wasn't going to let her mouth slip again. "Will sun light kill me?" She questioned, it was an important question, she wondered if garlic could kill her too. So many legends she would have to shift through to find truth in the matter.

Lars chuckled once, but kept walking. He walked on without answering for a while then turned a little and slowing his pace. "I wouldn't try walking into it", he started smiling,"But I doubt it would kill you, really, just burn."

Rounded a corner quickly only losing himself from her vision momentarily. Now the sidewalk was clearly only a few meters away. "Anymore needed questions?" he said a bit sarcastically.

Colbie heard the sarcasm in his voice. Her mind started to wonder why he let her live, if she was his first vampire then it was obvious he had killed the others. She wondered what was going through his mind. "N-no not really" she replied keeping more or less up with Lars. She stepped on to the sidewalk , there were a few people out and about, lights lit up the inside of store displays and restauraunts where families happily ate together. Colbie stopped for a moment watching a child grin at the waitress setting down the childs milkshake. Colbie grinned herself

Lars looked back with the corner of his eye at her wandering around and observing her settings. The scene almost reminded him of Beauty and the Beast when the Beast is showing Bell the castle. The thoughts only a bit ironic and he kept walking.

A few paces more and he stopped abruptly. He turned around slowly smiling. "Where's your place?"
