Colette was honestly a little impressed by her own ability to attract every asshole this side of the Rhine. Even so, she bristled at the vampire's words.
"You just try, you pathetic fils de pute," Colette said. Her gaze flickered down to his nails and she smiled suddenly. It was an ugly gesture, followed by a short, barking laugh. "So that's it. You're part of some notorious coven, aren't you?"
Colette didn't bother with vampires that were desperate enough to defy their own nature and huddle together in packs, but Thomas had taught her of their existence. "Well where's your family now, eh? You're no better than a human, clinging to empty, dead traditions for what? Sentimentality?" Colette laughed again, shaking her head. "Don't be stupid. Even with just the two of us we could drain every drop of blood in your body. You'll never lay a hand on her."

Yeah?
He said mocking her. Her words held little water in Xavier's world. Age meant nothing, it was all about power and None of them there knew what there were up against. The Black Nail Coven held some of the Strongest, Fastest most ruthless fighters in all of the Damned. Xavier would be surprised if Collete or anyone there would even feel the wind of his movements before he killed Aubrey. He didn't have time for chit chat, two enemies were within 30 feet of him and he could care less about the Protect the Princess type scenario.
We've got two enemies here, a Human and a Werewolf..and your protecting them? That just shows that when the water gets hot, you'll just jump out and partner up with the other side. I have no time or patience for traitors. So i suggest you give your attention elsewhere because it is not needed..nor cared for.
Xavier said coldly eying his victim Aubrey. His hands twitched with anticipation. Oh, how he wanted to fight. He wanted someone to jump on him, Bloodshed was his favorite sight above anything. His eyes shifted between the current members on the Field, all of them now enemies..It was a Sweet/Sour pleasure.

October seen the way he was looking at the human, he would kill her, there was no doubt in her mind, but she didn't have any intentions of letting that happens, not in his hands anyways.
October shoved the smart ass of a male vampire, just who did he think he was! Sure the kill the human thing, she would have been for if it wasn't obvious the elder was guarding her. "A little respect is in order, I don't care if you are from the Black Nail Coven. I know it is a coven of power and ruthlessness, but as far as I knew they still knew a little respect for their higher up." October growled her fangs sharp and her hands bunched in fists ready for any fight. " I haven't heard anything about them in years. Though you all died off in your little charade."
October's eyes shrunk into slits, a glare that demanded respect, "you won't touch the girl, right now your priority is those faulty mutts."

Shaden watched Xavier with a kind of cold, playful smile "Colette's right you know." He said softly, his eyes never once leaving his face. He was somewhat angry at himself for not noticing before where Xavier was from. Of course Shaden had never really gotten along with his little coven. "Your not going to lay a hand on her, sweetheart." He said before stepping forward. He hardly knew this human and now he was about to fight for her.
God what on earth was he becoming?! This was insane. He'd seen them fight before. Sometimes they were worse then him. After the vampiress shoved him, he walked up in front of him and came close enough that he could reach out a grab him if he wanted. "Do you really want to die, lovely?" He asked in a almost kind and caring voice. But of course Shaden was anything but kind. And this vampire would learn that tonight. Even if it killed him, Xavier would learn to show a little respect.

Die? If i weren't dead already i wouldn't be here tonight, 'Sweetheart'.
He said with a cunning grin stretched across his lips as he turned his back on the elder, the ultimate sign of disrespect. He walked off a few yards, one to get space between them and two to get close to the human. He then turned around against facing all of them with a cold, sadistic look on his face.
I give anyone here the open challenge right now to attack me. I believe the old human term is, You may walk over, but your limping back.
Xavier said with a smile on his face that would turned any soul to ash. His presence alone was enough to send someone spiraling into depression but now he was anxious to fight, he wanted to, he needed to. It was always his dream of putting the Black Nail Coven's name back into the minds of all these new 'Peaceful" vampires if such a thing existed. If they only knew..If they only knew what there were up against.

October couldn't believe the disrespect the man of the Coven was showing. Sickening. She'd have accepted his offer to fight, but she found him pitiful, a vampire that didn't deserve imortality. Oh how she would like to end it her for him tonight.
Werewolves were here though. There just being alive was disrespect in her dark eyes. Besides she was sure the elder male vampire would take more offense and possibily take him up on his offer. She hated to see a elder get their hands dirty. How she longed for her high position in a coven again, this chaos of vampires made her sick. She remembered days of vampiric families, respect, and even love.
She eyed the werewolves suspiciously she was ready if any of them attacked, she stayed close to the human girl. She had a sinking feeling the elder would be displeased if she was hurt.

Xaviers harsh words teamed with his cold glare made her back up. The circle was getting smaller, and it had been too close for comfort to begin with. She didn't understand why the brunette vampire was helping her, but she wasn't about to ask her to back down. This was all sort of her fault. Not directly, but she had suggested picking on a werewolf. She had never had any beef with a were, but now there was one majorly pissed at her. That couldn't be good. To top it all off she now had two insane, ego-driven vampires that wanted her blood. Did she know how to make friends or what?
"I'm not anyone's meal, or prize, or anything worth anyone fighting over." Her words came out so softly it was almost said to herself. She was Colette's friend. She loved Colette, she was supposed to keep her out of trouble-not the other way around. Even though she had just met Shaden, he reminded her of someone in her coven. She just wanted to be near him, to hold the memory together. She glanced at the female were, her knife still embedded in her eye. She was not worth all of this.
She could run. She faltered for a moment, almost dropping her gun. She regained her composure and looked at Colette and Shaden. They were all going to attack each other because of her. That wasn't right. "I'm sorry." She bolted. Her breath came out in harsh huffs. It hurt to run, but she did. She fought herself from looking back. Tears welled up in her eyes and fell down her blood stained cheeks.
She thought for a moment that she would make it, all she had to do was get to the street. Her foot caught against something and she fell. She landed hard on the ground, her ankle making a sickening 'pop'. The gun fell out of her hand and teetered away out of her reach. She couldn't think nor could she move.

As Aubrey took off toward the streets, Xavier sunk into the darkness behind him concealed in the blackness of the night. He traced her scent closely, he could not afford to loose it so easily. However, it was hard keeping track, after all there were 2 Vampires and Two werewolves in the area. The combination of all of the scents drove him mad however he kept his speed.
The night was heavy, he knew it was difficult for her to see in such blackness. All of the Odds were in his favor, he motioned swiftly through the darkest pockets and then he heard it, a thunderous snap and the sound of her body collapsing to the earth. At this point there was no need in chasing her, she was paralyzed on the ground.
He slowly approached her motionless body and looked her deep in the eyes. His hands were buried deep within his pockets as he knelt down beside her and began running his fingers through her hair.
No need to be frightened, you already knew the outcome. I know you didn't really think you could escape the Black Nail Coven so easily. Don't worry..There's nothing to fear.
Xavier said with a sickening smirk stretched across his face. He knew the others were on there way..it was only if they got there in time...

Damnit! He was toying with him now. Just feeding his anger. "I'll take your challenge, my lovely, but not here. Not now." He would rather wait until were less on-lookers. He didn't like the chances of someone stepping in. He'd seen this guys fight so many times it made him sick. Shaden stayed where he was, his breathing slow as he tried to keep control of himself, and his lustful anger that was trying to fight its way out. He looked back at Aubrey, all this right here was over her.
Shaden licked his lips, mostly out of habit, but he had just been wondering what Xavier's blood would taste like. He hoped it would be good. He didn't want bad blood to ruin his victory.
He sighed, how could things go wrong so easily? At first all this amused him. Then he was only slightly amused but still interesting where the fight would lead. Then he was just pissed off. Now... hell Shaden hadn't been this made in years. This whole thing was out of control. Shaden loved to fight. He lived for it. But this thing just seemed foolish to him right now. Plus he needed to hunt before the sun came up. Shaden had no plans on getting a tan anytime soon. His gazed finally moved from Xavier's as he looked around at the other vampires, and then a quick glance at the wolves before turning back to Xavier.
Then Aubrey ran, and Shaden acted fast as he ran at Xavier. He said he didn't want to fight here but how could he not now? He followed him easily, and then tackled him to the ground, landing on top of him "Don't touch her." He said in a deadly voice.

Finally-- it was the smartest thing anyone had done all evening. Colette was racing behind Aubrey in a heartbeat, and she barely even had time to look suprised when Aubrey fell.
Colette stooped to pick up the gun-- they'd probably need this, right? Now how did you-- it went off, exploding loudly in Colette's ear. "Jesus, Mary and Joseph!" she cursed. Well, forget the gun-- she settled for flinging it as far away as she could manage.
That was when she saw that she and the member of the Black Nailpolish Coven-- or whatever he called himself-- had some very similar ideas. Her heart froze for a second, and then-- thank the Gods-- Shaden came out of nowhere and tackled the vampire effortlessly.
Colette wasted no time; she sprinted across the cold earth, not even slowing down as she scooped Aubrey up in her arms and continued bolting as fast as her legs would allow. Trying to fight Xavier would have been stupid for a fledgling like Colette, but she had no doubt Shaden could handle it with his eyes closed.
"Well, Aubrey," Colette said as she ran. "I enjoyed hanging out with you and all but I'm pretty tired so... how about we get the f.uck out of here. Now."
That was the best she could do for the moment. This little outing was almost disastrous enough to make Colette consider growing up and behaving responsibly.

October watched as the human ran off, the man of the coven who'd disrespected both of his elders (which she was still a bit peeved about), and the elder vampire took off in chase of her. October's mind worked quickly she had a few options.
1) Follow the elder. He was the reason she had been protecting the girl, and in all honesty she didn't want that horrible excuse for a vampire to get to be the one to sink his fangs into her. October did want to see the girl turned, but not in his distructive hands.
2) Stay with two peeved werewolves and a young female vampire who didn't seem to be playing off both sides, but she'd stuck mostly to the werewolves. In October's mind that mad her another enemy.
3) Walk away, this had nothing to do with her. She had simply come along at the wrong time, got her dress ruined, her hair wild, anger flaring, and dirt under her perfect nails. She should be at a party, perhaps getting a meal, she was hungry after all. She hadn't eaten in quite a while.
She decided on option one. She knew there was little chance she would be needed as the elder had already taken off, but she didn't really want to stay and fight two werewolves and a vampire, she would be outnumbered, she figured she could take them, but be sore in the morning. She heard the woman fall as she had been intuned to her scent, every step she took, most likely because October was hungry so she could keep track of the human best. Her speed got her there quickly leaves scurrying from her.
She stopped in front of the girl lying down, she could tell her ankle was injured, "next time you want to run off like that a little warning!" She scolded in a hushed tone. The girls scent filling her nostrils, October decided it was best to stop breathing since she didn't really need air, and this helped her not drink from the girl at that very moment. October's fangs ached for something to sink into. "Did you really think what you were running from couldn't catch you, don't be foolish or you might not live till dawn."

Aubrey clung to Colette, snuggled against her chest she cried. Colette was taking her away from the fight. No. "Colette, they were helping me-you have to go help them." She wanted to be as far away from the fight as she could be. Far away from Xavier's dark pulling eyes. If Shaden hadn't tackled him, she might have given in. He was strong. Shit. She was sobbing now.
He would just follow them, they wouldn't be safe. "Colette, help them please." She didn't feel comfortable just leaving them. Not against Xavier. They had seriously underestimated him.

Hah, are your serious?
Xavier said with a sly smile upon his lips as his palm reached out and grabbed Shaden by the throat. He tightened his grip to the equivalent to a Pit bull's Jaw lock. His glossy black nails slightly dig into the sides of his neck as he brought Shaden closer to his face.
Are you aware of how many Elder's I've killed in my time? Please, i beg of you, Don't think your anything special.
He said, forcing Shaden away from him as he got to his feet and regained his balance. Aubrey was far away now, far enough to where he could barely pick up her scent, and his sense of smell was phenomenal. His eyes then locked back onto Shaden and he crossed his arms.
What about here and now?
Xavier said referring to the earlier offer he made about the challenge. He loved pushing buttons, Xavier was spending all this time just looking from the right one, for an elder, he got really mad, really quick. He placed his hands in his pocket and just stood there, still as a statue waiting for his response and he hoped it was a good one. Xavier would love to hear a great comeback before Shaden was beaten to a point where he wouldn't be able to speak..

October had kept the scent of the human, till she knew she was a safe distance away, the other vampire seemed to care enough to get her out of here. A good move, the first smart thing she'd seen the young vampire do all night.
October placed her hand lightly on Shaden's shoulder as she stepped in front of him. "Personally, i'd like to see our elder here fight you. Rip you to shreds, but I'd rather not see him go through the trouble." October said as she stood her one foot further back to brace herself for any fast attacks, her right hand, the one decked out in rubies curled into a fist, her left held her small daggar. "Sir, i'll save you the trouble," October said, her words aimed toward Shaden.
"So Mr. Black Nail Coven, if it is a fight you are after, you just found one," her lips were curled into a angered smile, her fangs glinting in the moonlight, oh how she'd love to sink her fangs into anything at that moment hunger pains rocked through her, she thought of the human for a moment before forcing herself to focus. He might be younger, but he was ruthless, trained and in practice, she didn't underestimate him she wasn't stupid.

So you're my competition? Okay, i guess.
Xavier shrugged lightly. He was never too fond of fighting females however, he was taught to never show sympathy. He whipped his coat back to reveal the heavy belt on his waste and pulled out a cigarette and popped it into his mouth. With a quick switch of a lighter he took a few puffs of smoke and placed the light and contents back into his pocket. Of course he wasn't going to take her seriously. He didn't take anyone here seriously. While his coat was whipped back he pulled out a .45 Caliber all black Pistol and cocked it back and aimed directly for the Females head. He knew the bullet wouldn't kill her, but he loved making a mess out of things.
After the initial shot was fired, he followed up with 4 more consecutive shorts to her torso and then placed the gun back into the holster. He walked over to her, still puffing the cigarette and looked at her with a sincere look of hatred and darkness. What kind of Vampire showed kindness and love? Only those in fairy-tales would stoop to such Trivial emotions. There human life was over, what was the point in bringing those feelings with them?
