Arabella looked down at her hands, brows furrowed.
"I was just... um... the blood... it made me remember... things that I didn't... didn't want to remember," Arabella explained in a quiet voice.
"It may be your way of life, but it's certainly not mine," Arabella said in a quiet voice. She looked up again, tears brimming her eyes.
She would never never take the life of a human being again, or condemn them to the same faith that she had.

Nathaniël gave a friendly smile to Arabella. 'Oh great, she probably feeds of defenseless animals which are already near extinction. Humans are a great prey... they're like ants, killing a few doesn't make a difference.' Nathaniël thought. "That wasn't my intention of doing. Don't think to much about it and you should start feeling better already. So cheer up." Nathaniël said with the same friendly smile to Arabella. 'She needed something like that.' He then thought, knowing he's not good at comforting he just tried something and hoped it would help.

Arabella bit her lip.
"Maybe..." she sighed.
"But lives are precious. And the people have family members that they love..." she muttered, thinking about Luthifer.
"Killing one person, could bring misery upon their whole family. Why inflict such unnecessary pain?" Arabella asked, desperate to get to the bottom of the reason of why some vampires still feed on humans. Other than their dead desires for blood, which could be controlled, there was no other reason that Arabella could think of. For the joy of killing? That would be the reasoning of a mindless monster. But then for what?!

Nathaniël looked at Arabella for a short while, wondering why she would want to know. He sighed. "I need blood to survive, and so once in a while I will take the life of a human to live on and not to feel weak for the lack of blood. As for humans they kill for food too, why shouldn't I be able to do so?" Nathaniël said. 'And if their families will be ruined I should kill all of them...' He thought and tried to hide the grin that was slightly showing up on his face.
Nathaniël could be a true cold blooded killer, but normally he just kills to feed himself and to keep walking the earth. He had been thought when he was young not to play with his food but unfortunately he couldn't stand the temptation sometimes.

Arabella sighed. There was no convincing this guy.
"Well, I guess we're just going to have to live with our differences I guess. I'm not going to try and force you to do anything," she sighed again. Then, she blinked and looked up at Nathaniël.
"Can I come in?" Arabella asked politely, noticing that they were still by the door.

Nathaniël looked at Arabella surprised she would still want to come inside, but glad she accepted who he was...as far as was known to her.
"Sure come on." Nathaniël smiled at her. "After you." He said with a friendly voice. "I would normally give you a tour but I'm afraid I haven't been here myself for quite some time." He said to her while they walked inside.

Arabella smiled.
"Its ok. I'm used to dusty places. My grandmother's house when I was still human was revolting. But I still survived a few weeks there,"' she said, hoping to lighten up the mood.
She walked inside as Nathaniël opened the door for her.

Nathaniël stepped inside after Arabella and looked at her as she walked further into the dark room lighted by only a few candles on the wall and a larger chandelier hanging high above them.
"You want something to drink?" Nathaniël asked her after a few moments of silence. He walked to a door and opened it, behind was a even darker room which had the looks of a kitchen for anyone who could see in the dark.
Nathaniël turned around and looked at Arabella. He smiled a bit and waited for her answer.

"Um... yes. That would be nice, thanks," Arabella answered. She looked around. The place did seem a bit deserted.
She sniffed and immediately crinkled her nose. The place smelled musty, just like one of those century-old books that were found in her uncle's old library.

Nathaniël walked into the kitchen, took a glass and filled it. He turned around and walked to Arabella who was looking around.
"There you go." He said as he gave the glass to Arabella. "So...how is the London life in the night? I've only been here for a few days and must say it hasn't changed that much since many years ago." Nathaniël said to start up some conversation.

"Ah..." Arabella sighed as she took a sip of her drink.
"It hasn't changed much. Paranoid people walking around the place, buglers and the like. Typical London nightlife, what do you expect?" Arabella asked.

"I didn't expect much. Though...that's not true, I expected it to be worse in some ways. But many people here seem normal, not showing any emotions of being scared of something, or plotting something. By the looks of it everything seems to be just a little too normal, but then again I haven't been here for that long so I haven't seen it all yet." Nathaniël said while looking around the room. He faced Arabella after he was done talking.
Nathaniël away from Arabella intro a corner. Careful step by step a rat approached, probably being very curious of all the new sounds that hasn't been in the mansion for a very long time.
"Looks like we're not alone." Nathaniël said, he slowly walked over to the rat and within a blink of a eye he had taken it and hold it in his hand. "Poor creature..." Nathaniël said and he'd put it up on the table standing in the center of the room. The rat looked shocked not knowing of what had just happened. Nathaniël smiled while looking at the rat moving around, probably scared and trying to find a way out of there.
"Sorry if your bored." Nathaniël said while still looking at the rat's behavior. "I haven't been around someone for a while, so I can't come up with anything much for now." He said and looked at Arabella for a moment.

"You're right, it is worse in some ways. In the old days, the people were more careful, but now, they just don't seem to care anymore," Arabella sighed.
She chuckled as Nathaniël caught the rat. She reached out a hand and ran a finger from its head to its tail. The rat was quivering, standing stock still, afraid to move even an inch.
"Its alright," Arabella grinned.
"Do you know any more animal friends here?" she teased.

Nathaniël looked at Arabella, while she was teasing the rat. 'It looks like she's enjoying this a lot...I truly can't understand why you would want to kill an innocent rat, so helpless...' Nathaniël thought.
The rat looked more terrified then before, it could feel something was about to happen but didn't know what.
"So..." Nathaniël said. "You like playing with animals like this?" He asked Arabella and smiled a bit.

"Kind of..." Arabella said as she patted the rat some more before setting it at her feet.
"Run along now," she said, nudging the rat with the tip of her shoe. The rat scurried off, its tail whipping behind it, and in a moment, it was gone.
"They're nice aren't they? Animals I mean," Arabella asked, looking back up at Nathaniël. She took another sip of her drink.
