The streetlights cast a pale orange glow on everything around it, giving them a surreal look and shine. It bounced off the deathly pale skin of a young girl, walking down the empty street. It was 10 to 2 in the morning, and not a lot of people were out and about at this time of night. Snatchers were everywhere, just around corners, waiting for some unsuspecting person to turn.
The young girl sighed and looked up at the dark sky. No stars could be seen, and the moon was nowhere in sight either. She lowered her head and cast her eyes around. Windows were dark and curtains were drawn. An occasional headlight flashed onto the sidewalk as the lone car sped by, taking no notice of the walking girl.

Nathaniël didn't feel like going out that night, he stayed in as the time passed away, thinking about things while having an open book in his hands. After sitting there for some moments he closed the book, having read only the first few lines of a page he got bored. 'I could've better went outside when there were still people walking the dark streets.' He thought to himself as he closed the book. He got up from the chair he'd been sitting on and walked toward the window where he opened the curtains. The streetlight on the corner of the street casted a weak orange glow on him as he looked outside.
The streets were empty, as was the sky. Nathaniël couldn't even see cats roaming the streets. 'Great no one outside at all.' He thought and looked further in the distance where he could see a dark silhouette walking the streets. He looked more closer and at the time the person passed a streetlight he saw it was a young girl. "At least someone's outside." He said as he watched the girl walk the dark streets toward him, sometimes getting an orange glow around her by the lights.

Arabella continued walking and casually gazing around. She spotted something... a window, with the curtains opened, and a man staring out at her. She paused and stared back. He had pale skin sent her into alert mode at once. A vampire. Maybe.
She continued staring, wondering what she should do next. It wasn't so often that you ran into other vampires around here.... well, not so often, but once in a while. And when you do come in contact with one, it was quite awkward.

Nathaniël noticed the girl had seen him and was looking back at him. 'Great, there goes my view.' He thought and he smiled at her wondering if she could even see it by the little light that was made by the streetlight. 'What to do next, closing the curtains will just look stupid from her point of view, retreating back to the chair has gotten quite boring and going outside...Well don't feel like it. As for the last option, keeping looking at her or the rest of the empty streets isn't very amusing anymore.' Nathaniël thought. It took him a few moments to make his choice and the made smile on his face disappeared as he turned around back into the room.
The little light that was casted into the room didn't reach far enough to reach Nathaniël anymore as he his appeared further into the shadows. For a second he looked back outside wondering if the girl could still see him now that he was covered in darkness.

Arabella kept watching the man. She was sure that he was a vampire now. He had that same look in his eyes as every vampire did. Eyes that had seen more that they should have for a human lifetime...
Then the man retreated into the room. But she could see his dark silhouette, even in the darkness. She kept watching, wondering what he'll do next.

The girl kept looking at Nathaniël. "Great..." He said quietly and turned around. He walked to the door leading to a corridor. He walked slowly down the stairs wondering what the girl would do when he appeared at the front door of the apartment building. 'I wonder who the young looking vampire is, and what she's doing here.' He thought. Nathaniël could easily know that she was a vampire by the years of watching the human behavior closely he just knew the girl wasn't one of them. He arrived at downstairs and walked to the door. It was even more dark here and the only light came from a small window in the door from which Nathaniël looked outside, wondering if the girl would still be there.

Arabella watched as the silhouette of the man moved out of site. Was he coming outside? Maybe.
She didn't move, just kept watching.

Nathaniël opened the front door to the building and looked at the girl standing on the exact same spot, as if she was frozen. He walked outside and gave a push to the door so that it would close. 'Let's just make this a quick walk around the neighborhood and see what comes out of it.' He thought to himself. 'I wonder what the girl will do.' Nathaniël crossed the street in the direction of the girl. He kept walking straight at her. "Hello there..." He said as he maneuvered at the last moment around the girl. He kept walking forward but slowed down a bit, wondering how the girl would respond. Nathaniël grinned while thinking about it.

Arabella watched as the man opened the front door and stepped out. He greeted her and she gave him a small grin in return.
"Hi, I'm Arabella," she introduced. Who was this vampire? She was quite curious to find out. She dipped her head to one side, staring at him intently.

Nathaniël smiled. "Hello there Arabella." He said to the girl who just introduced her. Nathaniël looked at the girl trying to figure out something. "So what are you doing here out on the streets at night? I haven't seen you before out here." He asked the girl. She seems to be a bit off to Nathaniël.

Arabella smiled slightly at the question.
"I was just bored and decided to go for a walk. I saw this street crossing with the one I always walk on and decided to see where it led," she answered with a shrug of the shoulders.
'I wonder if he's noticed that I'm a vampire too...' she wondered, staring at him.

Nathaniël looked at Arabella and returned a small smile back at her. He kept looking at her as if he was staring into her thoughts, trying to understand things. "So..." He then said after just standing there for a short while. "Just being out on a walk as you always do, and decided to take a different turn, why did you make that decision? If I may ask of course." He asked the girl as he had to say something.
Nathaniël turned away from the girl, staring down the street. He then turned back to Arabella with a small grin on his face.

Arabella shrugged once more.
"Natural curiosity I guess," she answered. Then she hesitated.
"I don't usually see other vampires around," she commented, wondering if she'd said too much.

Nathaniël smiled at Arabella. "Happy you made that turn into this street?" He asked her. "Too meet someone who is like you?" Nathaniël asked her, while not having answered the first question. He looked at her with interest. Staring into her eyes for some moments and putted back a grin on his face.

"It's nice," Arabella said. "Knowing that you're not so alone in the sense of a vampire. How we have to hide our identities and all. It makes you feel... cut off sometimes," she cast her eyes downwards.
"But yes. You can say I'm quite happy to meet you," Arabella said, smiling brightly in the dim lighting of the street.
