[Title: Open Arms...Dear Friend]
Julian had finally been initated into Rose Rogue. It seemed rather unique and interesting that he had, considering he hadn't expected it at all. Smiling as he entered the sacred halls, he stared all around him, mesmerized with its beauty. Had he been here when he was younger? Who really knew? Sighing, he continued his journey until he found himself in a large open room. *"Bonjour ? Est-ce que n'importe qui est ici ? Mon nom est Nicolae Julian Santiago... que j'ai été prié de venir ici..." he spoke, his voice echoing through the room. Sighing heavily, Julian began to think that he had made the mistake of joining...
* = Hello? Is anyone here? My name is Julian Nicolae Santiago...I was requested to come here...

Bonjour ? Est-ce que n'importe qui est ici ? Mon nom est Nicolae Julian Santiago... que j'ai été prié de venir ici..." a voice, rang through the mansion's walls.
The headquarters of Rose Rogue was Sebastian's own mansion, and as tradition, anyone initiated to the group was welcome to make residence. As long as they behaved themselves, and dared not enter his private hallways. He liked them to be kept private.
"Bonjour, Bienvenue," he called, descending down the spiral staircase to see whom had arrived.
Upon seeing it was Julian, he smiled, and opened his arms, to give his friend a hug. Julian reminded Sebastian of a son, a son whom he didn't have. But the feeling he felt towards the vampire was similar.
Sebastian was never one to engage in physical contact, unless it was he who initiated it. He didn't like to be touched, although he liked touching others. Not in a permiscuous way, but perhaps to show is trust.
"Je suis heureux que vous soyez ici! Venez, reposez-vous avec moi," he said, gesturing towards the parlour where he often entertained guests.

Julian grinned broadly. It was rather awkward and surprising that Sebastian had remembered him due mainly that Julian had changed his appearance around the early 1400's, but you could never fool Sebastian. He was too much of a father figure for Julian -- too much sometimes, but it made him love the man, rather vampire, more. "Mon ami et père! Comment bon pour vous voir!" he said warmly as he embraced Sebastian. "It's been....too long. I haven't seen you since what, Guy Fawkes attempt? Oh how I've missed you, mon ami.... I'm afraid I've grown."

"Mon ami et père! Comment bon pour vous voir! It's been....too long. I haven't seen you since what, Guy Fawkes attempt? Oh how I've missed you, mon ami.... I'm afraid I've grown."
Sebastian nodded, with an eyebrow slightly raised. Honestly, his friend looked like he could be Sebastian's father. Sebastian always opted for a more youthful appearance, but it seemed his friend went down a different path. He dare say it suited him.
"I see, sit, sit!" he said, sitting on one of the couches in the parlour.
He snapped his finger, and out came a meek looking man, with a tray and some cups, with fresh, warm blood. He often kept fresh blood on hand for such occasions. And he often kept servants as well. They were usually humans, either under spells or just too weird to understand their situation. They'd be used for a while, and eventually killed if they knew too much, or weren't suited for use any longer.
"You have grown greatly. But I say, you could never fool me no matter what mask you place upon your body," he said, with a knowing smirk.
He dismissed the servant, who had laid two filled cups on the table.
"Tell me, how have these years treated you? Hopefully you have progressed," he asked, hoping to hear something good of Julian's accomplishments.

Julian followed Sebastian almost like he had so long ago as a youngling. It felt awkward being the one who looked as if they were the Elder and Sebastian was not, but Julian of course knew who was the true master here. Grinning, he continued the small walk with Sebastian until they reached the parlour and sat across from Sebastian who had summoned a servant who brought on a silver platter, two goblets of blood, still faintly warm as Julian watched the servant walk near Sebastian. "Merci, my good man," Julian stated to the servant as he inhaled the intoxicating smell of a victim of what smelled like a virginal or unsuspecting kind.
"You have grown greatly. But I say, you could never fool me no matter what mask you place upon your body," Sebastian had said and Julian smiled as the servant left. "Of course...my friend and former Sire... You will always know what I was like and how naive I was to this world when I first began..." Julian said as he walked over and took one of the goblets. "Looks and smells wonderful, Monsieur..." "Tell me, how have these years treated you? Hopefully you have progressed." Sitting back down and placing the goblet on the end table on the side of his own couch, Julian couldn't help but think of what had happened since their last meeting. "Well...after the Parliament attempts by Guy Fawkes, I've participated in two Revolutions, two World Wars, two Depressions and well...I was a survivor of the plague epidemic in the Great Fire of 1666 in London. I can still hear their screams at times, but I know I would have likewised perished had you not instructed me down the right path, Sebastian. I have indeed progressed. I still drink off of humans, but I can sustain myself and not do what I've seen others like us do. They are reckless and ignorant, my friend. They only wish to drink their blood and kill them off. At least when you raised me, you showed me how to do it with grace and style... To love my victim as I took their life."

"Of course...my friend and former Sire... You will always know what I was like and how naive I was to this world when I first began...at least when you raised me, you showed me how to do it with grace and style... To love my victim as I took their life."
This brought great joy to Sebastian, and his happiness was indeed evident upon his features in the turning upward of his lips into a characteristic smirk and a slighty sparkle in his blue-green eyes. Ah, that was the greatest thing he could ever instill on someone.
Sebastian was known for a sort of...finesse while killing. He thought it was always respectable to kill your victim, knowing that they were content. Make them feel love. He often made women feel like they were beautiful, goddesses, and than giving them one little kiss. Only, he usually commenced in sucking out their blood instead.
"Ah, music to my ears!" he said, raising his goblet.
"It seems that vampires are becoming younger and younger. There are few of us now, that have seen centuries pass," he said, sticking up his fingers as if he were counting, and reciting names...sebastian, julian, layla, carlisle, nefertiti.
"And I agree. It is my greatest annoyance that young vampires should want nothing more than to wreak havoc. With their mindsets, any domination of the world could never be possible. They abandon their fledglings, I have taken in a few. I have one now, by the name of Ebony. Peculiar girl she is. Tell me, have you a mate?" he asked, tapping a finger against his cheek.
Often times, vampires took on mates. They couldn't really reproduce in normal fashions, but mates were like...spouses. He wondered what had become of his friend, and was generally curious. He liked to learn things.

Julian smiled and was glad that he had pleased Sebastian with his words, however, it was Sebastian who did the accidental displeasment. He had asked had he found a mate... Julian would have immediately answered 'yes' with a booming laughter added onto the 'yes,' however.... It was not meant to be. He was still in love with Mindy, but apparently, he had lost his grip on her in the sense perhaps she was not meant for him, rather... Julian loved her but knew it could possibly never work.
Shaking his head in disappointment, he looked towards his old master. "No, sire... I have not. I thought I had found the girl I wanted, but I don't know if she is meant to be. Truth be told, there is one other that I would go to be under their wings, but you alone is the one I desire to come back to. I've missed your smile, your kindness towards me, especially when no one would see in me the passion I have. The others at that time treated me like my father had: Cruel. True, my father and they too loved me, but believed not in me. I was about to become of what these new type are: Reckless..." Feeling tears swelling in his eyes, Julian quickly wiped them away to not stain his face with those crimson tears. "Sorry, sire...As I was saying... You found me, clothed me and let me prove to you that I can do so much. Please, guide me under your wing again, Sebastian, or at least let me be next to you so I can be much like I was when I was young."

"No, sire... I have not. I thought I had found the girl I wanted, but I don't know if she is meant to be..."
Sebastian listened to his story intently. Ah, if only there were someone in the world that Sebastian could truly love. As a mate of course. It was rare he found a person to love nevermind truly love. Ah, life for Sebastian was not all fun and games. He was not always quite as content as he lead on.
"Truth be told, there is one other that I would go to be under their wings, but you alone is the one I desire to come back to. I've missed your smile, your kindness towards me, especially when no one would see in me the passion I have. ...please, guide me under your wing again, Sebastian, or at least let me be next to you so I can be much like I was when I was young."
"Dear Julian, your emotions are evident. I will have you, my son," he said, giving Julian a pet on the head, to relieve some of his stress.
"The world is becoming a dangerous place, and it is vampires like you and I who must stick together. I will teach anyone who will learn, and guide those who give me loyalty. You are loyal to me, you are a son to me. To have you by my side once again would greatly please me," he said honestly, with warmth in his voice.

Julian sighed as he felt Sebastian's hand touch his wavy hair. "Thank you, my friend and only father I've truly come to love. My own father I did, but you surpass him. You are a worthy ally and trustworthy foe in the sense your age surpasses mine. I want to learn from you, yes, but I want to stand next to you in being your right hand person. You and I know I left when I felt ready and never once did I betray you in the past. If you talked to me about Rose Rogue when I was young, I probably remember it faintly, but I never once talked of it. You were wise then as you are now. Understand this, Sebastian: If anything happens to you, I will avenge you."
Julian smiled as he stood up and embraced Sebastian. "By any chance do you still have those lessons that you taught me? Even the music and poetic words I wrote? I remember them as if it were yesterday: 'Un maître aime son enfant même à la mort pour seule la mort pas séparent leurs obligations que leurs obligations sont leur rapport plus fort pour leur rapport est la vie éternelle.' " Chuckling, Julian couldn't help but feel old in discussing such things with him.
Translation: A Master loves his Child even unto Death For Death alone not separate their bonds Their bonds are their strongest relationship For their relationship is everlasting life.

Sebastian nodded, impressed at his frankness and love for Sebastian. He was quietly moved by this, happy that he could have such a positive affect on his old friend, his family. He contemplated his question for a moment, he was asking to sit at his right hand, to oversee the coven, and be forever associated with his former master. This was asking a great deal, but their relationship was not trivial.
"You greatly please me. A greater friend cannot be found," he said, with a smile still placed on his lips, though Sebastian never truely smiled, he smirked.
He purposely did not yet address Julian's request. Sestian didn't really think things over. He just waited, and eventually he knew when to make the right decisions. He never rushed. Why should a vampire rush, when he had all the time in eternity?
"Un maître aime son enfant même à la mort pour seule la mort pas séparent leurs obligations que leurs obligations sont leur rapport plus fort pour leur rapport est la vie éternelle.' "
"Ah! You have a great memory!" he said, laughing at the old addage.
"Do you remember, the first time I taught you to hunt? Remember what I told you the humans secretly sang? 'Take my blood to give you life, with my blood we'll end all strife. A drop or two is all I need, and life will blossom from this seed.' You'd hum it so often, I was sure you'd never make a clear kill for anyone would hear you singing!" he said, remembering spending so much time with young Clyde, in the parlour, teaching him history of vampires and how to take, but not too much.
His face soon relaxed from his laughter and memories, and he stretched a moment, before addressing Julian again.
"Who is she?" he asked, smoothly. He was of course, referring to the girl. He wanted to know who captured dear Clyde's heart.

Julian began laughing as well when Sebastian reminded him of the silly blunders the younger version of him had done -- there had been many, but they all led to Julian being a better vampire. "I couldn't help it, Sebastian! You influenced me in so many good and as for the bad ways, the bad ways were like that song. I tried my best to forget it, but I hadn't until many centuries later. Tsk, tsk....you have implanted it once more into my head, I'm afraid," Julian said as he grinned at his former master.
Julian stared around them, looking around the parlour. "We did so many lessons here: Flight, fight, grace, precision, etiquette. Loving and staying faithful to those you care for. Most of all, not to shame the good name of who you are. I remember that most of all. So many vampires change their names, either out of fear or because rejection, or even because their murders were so horrific that they feel changing their name will take away the sins they've committed. I felt bad once for killing without thinking, but after I had, I remember your lessons about decency, so I buried my victim and shamed myself for a week." Gulping, Julian didn't like that Sebastian asked about Mindy. He had lost her, hadn't he? "The girl's name was Mindy, but ... I feel I have lost her, so I look towards now another of our kind. Her name is Layla...she is a beautiful creature indeed."

Ah, welcome words! He was so pleased to see that his methods had worked. Look how fine Julian came to be! Now if he could teach those fledglings the way that he taught Julian, the world was indeed in good hands.
"The girl's name was Mindy, but ... I feel I have lost her, so I look towards now another of our kind. Her name is Layla...she is a beautiful creature indeed."
"Is she dead? This Mindy?" he asked, quite bluntly.
He noted the fact that she didn't seemt to be a vampire. Ah, not very wise at all. It was never wise to get involved with humans, it was always so very confusing for both sides. There was the desire to change them, live with them forever, but the love to keep them human and not damn their souls.

Julian shook his head 'no.' "She is not dead, but the love for her is gone, Sire. The love is vanishing, becoming nothing more than a shadow. She will become the only one human I've ever let get away. Rumors pass and one hears things. I have heard she is seeing another of our kind, but one I would not mind if he was to Sire her. William Kensington, a smart and bright one, but I fear he also lacks judgment for I have heard he has killed vampires. What does he truly know what it feels like to kill more than one of your own kind? Layla says she's done it, I do not if you have, but as I have said...the Great Fire of 1666 was my time to kill my kind. I killed them for one purpose, Sebastian: They were bloodlusting, a sin beyond what is expected out of us as vampires."
Julian's eyes looked away from Sebastian. Oh, how he wished he were young and naive again in the sense that he was under Sebastian's wings for the first time again. What he yearned for the most were the evenings when Sebastian wrapped his arms around Julian and soothed the aching pains he had at that time. Indeed Sebastian and Julian had left on good terms, but...Julian had often wished that Sebastian had come with him. "There is one thing I miss beyond all things, but...I won't bother you with it...Sire, I mean, Sebastian," Julian said, shaking his head. Was it because it was respect or was it something other reason why Julian continued all these years to remain calling Sebstian 'Sire'?

"She is not dead, but the love for her is gone, Sire...."
"Hmm..." was all Sebastian replied, at the great deal he was just told.
He couldn't understand why vampires would get involved with humans. He learned long ago, that if you loved someone enough you would never change them. As painful as it was to let them go and see them grow old with someone else, changing them was the absolute worst thing one could do. He would find this William, he had heard great things of him.
"There is one thing I miss beyond all things, but...I won't bother you with it...Sire, I mean, Sebastian."
Sebastian laughed slightly, at this slip up. He didn't mind either title. He had often instructed him when he was young to refer to older vampires respectfully, but it seemed as if they were not so different. They were of course, but they were more than pupil and master. They were friends.
"Won't bother me with it? Don't be silly. If I am bothered, I will surely inform you," he said, with a smile, patting Julian's arm, coaxing him to continue.

[ooc: thousand apologies for the long long wait]
"Won't bother me with it? Don't be silly. If I am bothered, I will surely inform you..." Julian sighed heavily and stared into those eyes that had comforted him as a young vampire as well as knowing that Sebastian was a honest person and would always allow him to speak this freely -- everyone else shunned him away. "Why is it now more than ever that we are faced with our kind that wish to harm more and more often? It reminds me of the time I did leave that one time in the late 1660's for London just to merely leave away here... It felt as if I had betrayed you and now...it feels the same as it did then. Tell me, why should I feel this way?" Julian inquired with a soft sigh.
How he yearned to look young once more, to wish that he had lived normally, to not be what he was, but then...he would have never met Sebastian, his mentor and tutor. Staring once more into Sebastian's eyes, it really hurt that no one could understand. "Why do I ail, Sire? Is it because I'm fading? Have the truly good ones like me disappearing? Are we dying off?"
