The change from New York to Italy had been a hard one for him, however, Sevanni had misunderstood his sudden mood swing. He had taken it as Shaden being upset about being stuck in Italy or something like that, but that just wasn't the case. In fact, there were a few things on his mind at the moment. Things that simply refused to leave him alone, no matter how much he tried not to think about them. And because he couldn't stop thinking about them, he'd seemed to grow more silent and stayed in his room mostly, sitting on his bed facing a wall, but not really seeing it, his eyes distant as he continued to think. However, that was not his location now. At that moment in time he was laying on the couch, the t.v. was on, but he didn't understand much of what was being said. He knew a little Italian, but not enough. At least it would give him something to do for a little bit. Maybe learning the language would distract him enough to get rid of his current problem... at least for a short time. He couldn't remember having a real conversation with Sevanni sense he'd reassured him that he was still free to come and go as he pleased. It made him slightly pissed off to hear Sevanni tell him that. As if Shaden needed to be told. As if Shaden had any desire to be anywhere Sevanni wasn't. He didn't seem to notice the little changes in Shaden. How his moods depended on how often he got to see him. Or how Shaden couldn't get enough of him, and that he simply loved to be close to him even if it wasn't physical, and they were only talking. Not that they actually talked a lot. What did they have to say to each other anyway? He got up from the couch, moving to stand at the window. So different from New York. At least there he could go out to the city and keep himself busy. Find some sort of trouble to get into. What kind of trouble get he get in the damn country. Though, he preferred Italy to New York simply because it was more quiet, that and, he secretly loved the scenery. At his house in London he had a very nice garden that he loved to sit in and relax. He hardly left his rooms lately. He was extremely thirsty but he was procrastinating on going hunting. Shaden didn't mind Italy. Not at all. But it was the location that had him slightly worried. Actually, if he was being perfectly honest with himself it was all of Europe that had him a little worried. As far as he was concerned, any place in Europe was too close to Germany. Of course, it wasn't really Germany itself he was worried about, but rather the trouble that lingered there waiting for him to get too close. His makers. Oh how they would love to get their disgusting hands on him again! He would never admit it to anyone, but they were the only two vampires in existence he was actually afraid of. He could never let anyone know that. Especially Sevanni. Shaden had always been the bold one, the rebellious one who wasn't scared of anyone. What would Sevanni think of him if he knew the truth? He didn't want to think about it. He was selfish by nature, just as Sevanni was greedy. But Shaden's own selfish desires were pulling him in two. It was driving him insane. He wanted Sevanni to himself, and he got terribly jealous when he knew he was off with someone else. Yet at the same time he understood that he could never have Sevanni all to himself, and that he'd just have to deal with the others. And he was a little irritated with himself for actually getting that attached to Sevanni. How could he have been so stupid? So foolish to actually get so attached to him. And now he was suffering because he was trapped by his own nature. Unable to get rid of the attraction he felt for Sevanni, and hardly able to deal with him being with others. What he needed was to be locked up somewhere so he couldn't cause anymore damage to himself. He was going to end up losing every part of him; become an empty shell that held little value. He sighed. He was so tired of this current mood he was in, but he couldn't find a way out of it. He wished Sevanni would come and see him. Maybe just spending some time with him would help. He could only hope.

The ignorance that appealed throughout the house was rather tiresome. His girls were all scatterbrained as if they had jet lag for days. Shaden had yet to be seen, though he did get a whiff of him every once in a while. The way it lingered after moments of his departure.
Darien had of course felt a bit better about the atmosphere than most, but it was to be expected. He seemed to have followed in the advents of his nature and thus it made Sevanni happy for some strange reason.
There really was no comparison with Italy and New York. Peace versus loud was for the better, but even in The Hamptons it was peaceful. Could they not adapt to the same thing but in a different realm? He had hoped so, but he was incredibly behind in spending time with those he adored, such as the one he would visit tonight.
"You know.....there is plenty of time for that.....as much as I like knowing you've been with another male form......he is involved with your sons ex." Sevanni frowned to Cree's words. Walking over the bay hills of the yards canvass. "I wish you would stay out of my affairs Cree." She lowered her head and a little off to the side. Her sheer white gown flowing behind her and in the soft breeze. She was like a ghost that sanctioned a fleshy body and refused to leave it.
"I am only trying...." Sevanni cut her off with a very stern tone. It wasn't fun to anger him so soon, and especially since he was in a mellow state. "I don't recall asking for your input on anything, so I would advise you to keep your thoughts to yourself rather than place them to words."
She gave a discredited look. Pouting as usual. She knew when the line was drawn and crossed, but she couldn't help but to cross it every once in a while. So she vanished from his sights, leaving him to his own thoughts, and when he felt a bit of air on his neck he drew not only his head, but his eyes as well to the window to the upper far left.
My how he had been so missed. It was odd how it would come to this. Shaden and Sevanni. Things that hadn't been whispered or so much as thought about by anyone else. No one knew except him, Shaden, and Cree. Only because she was nosy of course, but if Shaden hadn't said a word, then it was all hush hush and held between walls. What would poor Helena think?
Sevanni turned away from looking at him and heading into the house. Shaden's room had been quite the distance, but there were ways of getting around a lot quicker than simply walking and taking your sweet time. It was useful for sneaking up on people. Catching mortals in a vast manor.
Sevanni usually let those within his sanctuary have their privacy, it was a respect thing that he not only demanded but upheld, and he made sure he gave the same in return. Lest something was wrong, or he made his scheduled visits. Ordered his blood dolls to retain themselves within his quarters, or specific room he occupied, however; Shaden was alone in his room, looking out the window and Sevanni had so happened to not only think about him, but plan a visit as a surprise as well. This required no privacy restrictions.
The door was pushed open on the click when his hand turned the knob. The door moving open to find him still there by the window. How wonderful it was to catch the whiff of his scent. Like a slam of the door in his face that was more pleasant than anything.
There was a look. Something drawn out and pooled as if hunger and grace and all things sensual and sorrow-some had pailed out of those eyes, that look. His form moved closer to Shaden, the sort of sound that made you think of blades cutting the air or something thick in a butchers barn. His right hand reached out to compel the fell of his equally cold flesh, above or under fabric, it didn't matter there were certain things a vampire could feel and couldn't feel.
"You know......one part of having a piece of you inside of me.....is that I can sense what you are feeling when I listen in......" Sevanni decided to let him glance out a bit at the window, a shift of turning as he stepped closer behind him and with arms to meld around his waist. Sevanni rested his chin on his shoulder, eyes also looking out, but in all honesty it was at Shaden's reflection through the glass. "You do not like it here?" Perhaps he missed his bitch. The city noise. The drama that went with all of New York.
The smell of his blood heightened the closer he was to his neck. Nuzzling against him and taking in his scent. "What would you like? Anything....." He could ask. There was nothing wrong with that of course, and eventually they could mesh things out. This was an awkward thing. To like and desire the one person you had drama with in the past. Hatred even. But they had put things aside, and came to an understanding. An agreement, and much, much more.

He noticed Sevanni, and watched him come closer and closer but then eventually glanced away, and for just a moment his thought drifted to Helena. He really wasn't being fair to her at all. She deserved better then the treatment he'd been giving her. However, Shaden simply didn't think he was actually capable of giving Sevanni up. He'd only just begun really. He planned to stay with him for so much longer. To feel and touch him. It was too late to just walk away. Shaden's desire for him couldn't be put out or forgotten. Besides.. Shaden was his.
Secretly of course.
And such a dirty secret it was too. It was a shame really that he'd never told anyone about the two of them it would kind of fun to watch the reaction it would have. No one would actually believe it though. Sevanni and Shaden. It was so unlikely that there really was no point in even trying to tell anyone else. He didn't mind the secrecy, though. For some reason it only made it even better.
His arms were crossed over his chest, more out of habit then anything else. The jeans he wore now were slightly faded, though that was the way they had been designed. And his top was nothing more then a simple button down shirt, a pale blue color. He often wondered if the reason blue was his favorite color was because he missed the sky's during the day or if it was because blue was the color of his sisters eyes or if it was nothing more then that particular color looking good on him. In the end it really didn't matter, but when you had forever to look forward to, it helped to keep the mind busy. Even if it was on little pointless things.
Sevanni had a real thing about privacy. He'd noticed that very soon after he'd first moved in with him. It had been sort of a surprise to find that out. He respected that. Though he hardly needed his privacy. He was always alone, and Sevanni never interrupted anything important or anything like that. He was starting to understand him more and more. For instance, Shaden no without a doubt that Sevanni wouldn't knock on his door this time. He'd seen him standing there in the window so obviously alone that the reason for privacy was not needed.
He was already inside. He sighed, the sound was one of relief. He was glad Sevanni had come. The door was opened, and Shaden had waited a few seconds before turning his head to look back at him. He'd tried to keep his face expressionless as possible, not knowing how affective it was. However, even in his current mood he couldn't stop his eyes from wandering over him, not in the least bit secretive about it, and with no feelings of awkwardness. He was too comfortable with what was going on between them to feel awkward. Sometimes he forgot just how new this type of thing was to Sevanni.
Sevanni moved closer, his right hand reaching out, touching him. He grinned softly, though it held the feel of something forced. "You know......one part of having a piece of you inside of me.....is that I can sense what you are feeling when I listen in......" His grin widened, this was not forced. That was very interesting. He felt his curiosity kicking in, and did his best to repress it. It didn't work. He looked back out the window. "How often do you listen in?" He asked, his toned soft, "And what have you been feeling from me tonight?" That's the part he was most curious about. Could he feel every little emotion then? All the worry and irritation at himself, the jealousy and desire? Did he even understand the reason behind the feelings? Maybe he should have asked about all this stuff after he'd marked him. It certainly would be helpful to know just what Sevanni could feel.
He was behind him now, his arms around his waist, and his chin resting on his shoulder. He could see him through the reflection on the glass, but that's really what he was focused on. "You do not like it here?" He hadn't meant to let Sevanni think he didn't like it here. Shaden had stopped to think about how his actions might affect him. "Actually.. I love it here. Its much better then New York." Italy was defiantly not the problem. But what he didn't say is that he'd live anywhere as long Sevanni was there. That was taking it too far.
Sevanni's nuzzling was severely distracting, but it helped too. He could feel his mood lifting, even if it was only a little bit. "What would you like? Anything....." There was slight surprise when he heard this. "Anything?" He said, his tone thoughtful. He knew what he wanted, and it actually had nothing to do with sex; for once. There was something he wanted very badly, almost desperately. However, he could never ask Sevanni for something like that. "No... I'm fine." Sevanni's hold on his wait wasn't so tight that he couldn't move, so he turned, his chest now lightly pressed against Sevanni's, and his arms around his shoulders. "You can teach me how to speak Italian. That would be helpful." He gave a playful smile. Only joking of course. He didn't need help with that. What he attempting to do was let his problems fade until Sevanni left, so then at least, his feeling wouldn't be effecting him while he was there. Though if he continued to listen in.. then he couldn't help if his mood affected him or not.

"How often do you listen in? And what have you been feeling from me tonight?" Perhaps a few things. The little things. Like knowing the facial expressions on anothers face even if it had been barred behind glass. Letting your intuition run free and sense it. He had to look away to feel that. Sort of, cypher it all inside. Maybe it was wrong to listen in on his feelings, but sometimes he couldn't help it. Sometimes during the day when he had no will to close his eyes those thoughts would linger throughout and he'd occasionally catch a glimpse. If he found Shaden in a deep sleep it usually helped him get to sleep, but that was only a few times.
"Not often....." He started with a small breath. "Once in a blue moon." That was what the mortals said. Unfortunately for Sevanni Blue Moon's weren't so fun to be under.
It seemed that some out of the many had succumb to being there, and even still, it just didn't feel quite like home, even though it had been. He was in the very room he had grown up in, and still his thoughts about Ezra grew stronger. One night he would have to go and visit his grave. It's been a long time.
"Actually.. I love it here. Its much better then New York." Sure when it came to peace and quiet, and those who claimed to know about the undead being steadily quiet. It was slim pickins not too far from the villa, and everything was home-like.
So, Sevanni asked him what he had been compelled to. "No... I'm fine." Not quite the reply he had expected. Hell, even a night filled with glorious crimson wonder, and the all around comfort of finally having your just deserts. Hell, a car or a chopper wouldn't have been out of line, but nothing. And still, he hadn't mentioned his doe. This of course made him a bit more happy. For reasons of his own accord, those shan't be spoken of.
"There is some part of me that doesn't believe those words." A snarky grin was given and when he felt Shaden move beneath him, Sevanni stood up straight framed, and how those arms instinctively moved around Shaden's, well, you had to be there to believe it. "You can teach me how to speak Italian. That would be helpful." Italian huh? Sevanni had always assumed Shaden knew Italian. But many vampires hadn't even seen the whole world in all their centuries of un-living. "I can teach you anything you want....." There it had been. An assuring answer to the problem. He would teach him Italian. A quick peck of the lips as if it had been a simple task, it really wasn't.
In fact, this had really, and quite surprisingly put Sevanni at ease. Being around Shaden, though there was always a thought.....No, no he'd leave that for a just in case.
Sevanni slipped from Shaden and moved over toward a rather comfortable chair just to the side. Comfortably resting within it and looking up to the seaglass orbs just ahead. "So....have you told anyone of the move?" Surely the coven knew, Shaden had never placed himself in the confines of the coven that he heard of, and if he hadn't there were a great many reasons for it. Understandably so. Now mainly he had wondered if he told his doe, and whether or not he would go back and forth.
Just like before it would tire her out. It was done out of sheer spite, making Damion do things more and more so that he couldn't see her. Sevanni just had a really bad feeling about Helena, and for his own selfish reasons had silently protested against it, until Sevanni had drawn the last straw. Faintly enough it caused him a relationship with his son, but by God it was best, for the two split a year later and they never married on that night.
What people did for God was insanely horrible.
So this didn't mean that he didn't care about Shaden's happiness, but it was very shocking to find that they had actually hit things off. Sevanni had hoped he'd see past her wickedness and kill her off so he wouldn't have to. But alas, his plan had failed him. Pity. It would have been a nice mount next to Annabella.
Let's change to that yes?
He must have done it for his own sick pleasure. That Shaden. Killing the bee that got away from his hive. Secretly Sevanni had wanted to keep her like a doll in some small tiny dwelling like Cree, but she had been turned by the one man he despised. It was like Clark Kent and Lex Luthor, and guess who Sevanni was.
So, since she was alone in Paris, London, Madrid, he had to get rid of yet another mutt, only this one was more special because Annabella was suppose to be a vampire. James had to ruin it with his crap and so Sevanni sent Shaden to make headway of the job. Pun intended.
And there it was, beautifully mounted on his wall. Not quite what was intended for her, but it was good nonetheless. "After what you did for me in Europe..." He'd never speak of more. "I would like to at least give you something for that?" A little capture of a thought. He really wanted to know, at least it could take some pressure off.
What he needed was a cigar. He hated sitting in those chairs without a cigar. Sadly he was trying to quit. After an appalling viewing of a television show, it just didn't seem right to even smoke the sons of bitches.
"I try to make time for everyone around here.....you know that...so if that's what it is.....you can just tell me...." Sevanni would always change his schedule for one of his house members. Especially Shaden. Unless there was an incredibly important meeting that was imperative to attend.

"I can teach you anything you want....." He had taken it so seriously, thous words. Learning a new language was almost too easy. He didn't need help. And it wasn't as if he didn't know any Italian at all. He just knew very little. The basics really. Italy hadn't been at the top of his list on places to live. Not when it was so close to those he hated. He really had just never bothered with fully learning it, not seeing the point if he was only going to be there a few weeks every few years or so. But still.. the way Sevanni had said that, it almost made Shaden want to let him help. Almost. And the quick peck on the lips simply wasn't fair. Especially since only a moment later he slipped away from Shaden and went and sat down in the chair.
"So....have you told anyone of the move?" He didn't answer right away. Instead he met his glance, still standing, and then finally moved to sit on the couch, making sure he was as to Sevanni as was possible of course. However, his eyes were facing forward, toward the t.v which was still on, the volume turned down so low that even he had a hard time hearing it, when he finally answered. "I only have two fledglings. They haven't been told yet." He glanced at Sevanni, and then away again. "Dante.. he is the closest. If I told him where I was, he'd come here." Not that this was a bad thing. He loved Dante very much. He was very special to him, for more reasons then one. Dante and he had been humans together, turned by Shaden when he'd maneged to get away from his makers for a short time. Dante had been Shaden's very first male lover.
"As for Helena.. she knows I'm here. What she doesn't know is that I'm staying here." It sounded more like a question then an actual statement of fact. "I really don't want to travel back and forth all the time, and to be honest.." He looked back at Sevanni, this time without looking away, "I would miss you too much while I was gone." Too honest. He was being too damn honest, and he needed to stop. He looked away again. It was so damn complicated. It felt like he had to choose between Sevanni and Helena or maybe try and get Helena to move to Italy. Though that probably wouldn't work. She couldn't stand Sevanni, so he couldn't see her moving from her home to be close to him. Not even for Shaden.
He didn't expect her to move, and part of him didn't want her there in Italy. She would only end up distracting him and taking his time away that he could be spending with Sevanni. And Shaden was sure that he would simply love it if Shaden stopping seeing her. Erased her from his life altogether. But Shaden didn't want to do that. Though it would end up hurting her more then him. He was use to it by now. In fact he should have learned his lesson with Aubrey but no, he'd had to go out and get involved without someone else. He was such an idiot. When would he learn? Maybe he just wasn't meant to be happy.
He realized though, that he actually was happy. With Sevanni. Just being with him. When ever he was around him it felt like all the tension and stress went away. For so long he'd had such a quick temper, but after being with Sevanni for just a short amount of time, it was gone. He was trying to reason things out in his head. Trying to come up with some sort of decision on what to do. It wasn't easy.
"After what you did for me in Europe..." He smiled. Ah, yes. He'd almost forgotten. That had been fun. Sevanni had asked him to kill her but Shaden had only agreed because he took his own sick pleasure from it. "I would like to at least give you something for that?" But he didn't need to. It wasn't like he hadn't enjoyed himself. Still.. that was just Sevanni's way; trying to repay him for doing that for him. He could always make something up. Something small that wouldn't be much trouble. It couldn't hurt. But it wouldn't feel right. "You don't need to give me anything.." Spoken softly, and without looking at him.
"I try to make time for everyone around here.....you know that...so if that's what it is.....you can just tell me...." He wasn't going to let it go. He was going to harass him about it until Shaden finally confessed. "I would keep you here to myself, like the selfish bastard I am if I could, but that's not the problem." He sighed. Would his request be so wrong? It was actually no different then the one Sevanni had asked him to do. A life for a life. Wasn't that fair. Wouldn't be be allowed that much? After all he'd been so good. So well behaved.
"What if.. I wanted you to kill someone for me." Sea glass orbs watched Sevanni's reaction carefully, and there was a small grin on his lips. "Would you do it?"

"I only have two fledglings. They haven't been told yet." Oh yes, how could he forget. His little ones. He had hoped that he would bring one around, having only met one on the low Sevanni was curious as to the other. Sevanni had looked over but Shaden was already turning eyes away. "Dante.. he is the closest. If I told him where I was, he'd come here." Perhaps there was a shot of having someone occupy his time while Sevanni was away, but he was greedy for those around him and there was no way Sevanni would let another interfere.
"As for Helena.. she knows I'm here. What she doesn't know is that I'm staying here." Shame. Then surely word would get out and since he no longer ran New York, it had to be given to someone. And there was only one heir that stood in line. Was he now? It was pleasant to know. Wonderful to hear, but he didn't seem so sure of himself. "I really don't want to travel back and forth all the time, and to be honest.." At that his attention was given to Shaden fully. Curiosity killed the cat but his was the big bad Vanni and this ladies and gentlemen, made his ears wide open. "I would miss you too much while I was gone." Well that was unexpected. He had hoped to hear his break up with her, but how wonderful it was to know that Shaden would miss him. How did he feel when he was in exile? Before their bond and before their starting friendship?
A small glimmer of a side swiped smile grew by the second but not too much. Of course there had to be a change in topic, which led to the current events at hand. "You don't need to give me anything.." There it was again. The non gesture. He was just used to paying bounties and having someone do something for something. He always tipped big, he always stayed tidy, it was the Sevanni thing to do. Among other things.
A sigh was given, almost exasperatingly so. "I would keep you here to myself, like the selfish bastard I am if I could, but that's not the problem." His hands smoothed over the fabric of his pants and when they reached the knees he had opted to stand and venture over beside Shaden.
"What if.. I wanted you to kill someone for me." After that bit of silence and his ease into the seat, this was something that rose brows and curious woes as to whom he would be talking about. So he took a non breath and smiled to the grin Shaden shed. "Kill someone for you huh?" Still the smile stayed, forming to a grin that faded soon after and there you had it folks. A life, for a life.
"Would you do it?" All he had to do was say who and that would be the end of it. It wasn't hard to kill a person. He killed two of his own brothers because of his beliefs and wants. What was another to him if for someone he cared about? So long as it wasn't someone who had once broken him just the same as Sevanni. The mother of his child, and for shame on the thought. Though it would be nice to have his little vampire around the house more.
Sevanni had to shake those thoughts away and try to regain himself. "You've killed someone I cared for for me.....why should I refuse you?" After all, he did like making his darlings happy. Shaden was no exception man or female. He was reasonable, caring. It was a shame that his gentle side wasn't as visible as his crudeness. But it was a weakness that placed him in exile in the first place, only now he was making his payments and keeping his own makers satisfied by his actions. So long as they got what they wanted.
"And.....who exactly do you wish dead?" Reasonable question right? But he was curious as to why. Why in the world could someone like Shaden ask this of Sevanni when he was strong himself? What had been the purpose? Too close for comfort? Something heart stricken? How curious indeed.

It wasn't easy for Shaden, asking Sevanni to kill someone for him. It almost felt cowardice to do so. But this was something he couldn't do. Therefore, he had very little choice but to ask it of him. He had no doubt that he couldn't or wouldn't do it. However, it wouldn't be easy either. He should be handling it on his own. Taking care of his own business instead of involving Sevanni. It wasn't right, but still, he did feel relief. If Sevanni did this for him, his existence would be much easier. He wouldn't have so many problems or things to stress over anymore.
"You've killed someone I cared for for me.....why should I refuse you?" So they were on the same page then. That was good, at least. A life for a life. Blood for Blood. It sounded so simple, but Sevanni had to be questioning this, wondering why Shaden would even need Sevanni for something like this. Killing someone. He'd done it so many times. Even to his own fledglings. He use to have more then just the two, and Alex was lucky to still be around. Though now Sevanni had him thinking... if he had cared for her.. why ask Shaden to kill her? He should refuse though. He should tell him that he wouldn't do it and make him pick some other way. Shaden wouldn't care. It wasn't as if he would hate him should he refuse.
"And.....who exactly do you wish dead?" Ah, yes. The most important question of all. Who did he want dead. Actually, he wanted a few people dead, but he was only as for one or at the very most two if he could manege it considering they were always together. He knew who he want dead the most. He'd wanted them dead for years, and had tried killing then himself many times. But there was someone else. Someone who's death would end his guilt, and confusion. Now it was decision time. Time had run out and he couldn't think about it anymore. His next words would decide the fate of three different vampires.
He was glad Sevanni had moved to sit next to him, he twisted in his seat so he was facing him more, his arms wrapped themselves around him, his head leaned in to rest on Sevanni's arm, taking in his scent as if he hadn't been able to smell it clearly enough before. It was so addictive; his scent. So perfect. The only thing that even came close to smelling as good was Dante's scent, but it was still nothing like his.
"My makers." He finally said, not looking up at him. "They change their names all the time but for the last few years they've called themselves Charlotte, and Julian." There was a short pause before he added, "I only ask that one of them be killed, but that might be a problem. They hardly ever leave each others side." There was a small amount of disgust in his voice when he talked about them.
He pulled away from him, suddenly standing up and walking back to the window. "I've tried to kill them, of course, but each time I was nearly killed myself." There was a bitter smile on his lips as he said, "My favorite time was when they tried to burn me. That was fun." A short breathy laugh. Hated them them so much. He was also disgusted by them, and feared them. He didn't even like to think about them or the things they had done to him, and especially not what they had made him do. It hurt just to think about it.
His hands were in tight fists at his sides, and he kept his breathing steady, staying focused on Sevanni's scent, something about it just helped him stay calm. "You can refuse though." He worked to try and make his voice sound light, trying not to show anymore of his emotions. "I won't mind." Though if he didn't want to deal with those two, he did have another in mind that would work just as well.

[atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] Shaden had appeared to be so comfortable. So relaxed around Sevanni that it was comforting to himself as well. It had only happened with those that were close to him. The twins were hard to get close to because they were so guarded. Now that he had the boys he didn't have to worry about that problem. Shaden had been the only man who had shared more than secrets with Sevanni, so he would be a bit higher on his chain when it came to males.
At first Sevanni had submitted to Shaden's needs because he wanted to prove that he could. Because he had him bent over tied and gave him what he wanted. The second he was tied up in his quarters and Sevanni had his fun with him. Not to say Shaden didn't do the same of course, but there was something more dominant with him when it came to having a sexual affair with him. Much different from the girls.
Arms motioned around him and Shaden began to lean into Sevanni. The soft tone not quite docile as he had expected when the answer was given. "My makers." That was an eye opener. Sevanni's brows raised, how horrible they were. Not as much as he thought, but from what he remembered in Shaden's shared memories, he knew they were bad apples. No freedom fighter here, but if Shaden thought that he was still in some sort of danger, Sevanni would make sure that that threat was no longer possible.
"They change their names all the time but for the last few years they've called themselves Charlotte, and Julian." No recollection of those names. He remembered partials of their faces, and even then he couldn't be certain he had ever crossed their path. Did Shaden know where to find them? "I only ask that one of them be killed, but that might be a problem. They hardly ever leave each others side." Only one? Now, wouldn't that just be sad if he had to leave a body alive? How he did like to take lives, even undead ones.
You could tell he was disgusted. The tone in his voice, the way he simply took to himself and stood. Moving back to the window and away from Sevanni. He was about to ask a question within the silence but there was more to be said on his behalf.
"I've tried to kill them, of course, but each time I was nearly killed myself." Sevanni shifted in his seat, how abandoned the spot beside him was. "My favorite time was when they tried to burn me. That was fun." A snicker was flickered over his mouth, almost like an unnerving twitch that happened when something ticked you off to no avail. This would have been a nice moment to breath in hatred and let it out with grave anger.
Sevanni slipped from that couch and moved over toward Shaden. "You can refuse though." How could he? Unhappy was not something that made his little ones very appealing, and whilst Shaden hadn't been reborn from him, or even his blood doll or specific consort, there would always be a need to make him happy. Put him at ease. "I won't mind." Eyes viewed balled fists at his sides, Sevanni letting his hands wrap around those fists as he sunk against his back and wrapped arms within arms around his form. A comforting placement of his head nuzzled gently against Shaden's.
A soft paring of words came out as he looked out of the window. "If it bothers you so much.....why not kill both of them?" Would it be so hard? He could always take Marcus with him just in case. His lips were close by his ear, a force of habit when he close to someone in a position like that. His words smooth, calm even. As if speaking about a homicide came sensually natural. "You know that I of all people love a good kill. Do it in front of you just for fun." Not something hateful towards Shaden, but he would know they were dead for sure, lest he requested their heads be taken as well. He'd kindly oblige.

[atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000]
He had moved away from Sevanni because he needed the space. Whenever he felt that old anger rising in him he always tried to put as much space between himself and who ever may happen to be around him. He tended to get a little violent. He couldn't help it. It was so much more then just the normal anger. This was a deep hatred that had been held in since the first time he'd opened his eyes to this new life. And it was so hard to keep it in check. He had no way of getting rid of the hatred in him. Nothing to do do with it but hold it in and let it sit. He knew that someday he wouldn't be able to hold it back, and he was going to truly snap and he didn't know what would happen when or if he did.
So when he heard Sevanni standing, and start to move toward him, he felt slightly irritated. Though Sevanni couldn't possibly know that Shaden wanted -needed- that space between them. The last thing he wanted was to take his hatred out on him. Words spoken. His own voice sounding almost far away. To soft, and subdued, as if he'd just admitting to losing a fight.
Then there was the feel of Sevanni's hands over his own. He didn't move, and he didn't relax. Not at first anyway. He was pressed against his back. He tried to ignore the way his head was nuzzled gently against his own. But that was not something he could ignore. Still, the slight irritation he'd felt grew and for just one second he had a urge to turn and push him away, and not gently either. Force him to move away. This thought lasted only a second, and it surprised even him. Finally, he relaxed his tense position and his fists unclenched.
How could he ever think that space from Sevanni was better. He was the only person who had been able to keep him so calm all the time. He was like a tame kitten compared to how he used to be. At least that's how it felt to him. He felt better around him. He hardly ever worried about anything with him around, and he really did miss him when he wasn't there with him. It was almost a physical pain to be away from him. So stupid; but very true.
"If it bothers you so much.....why not kill both of them?" That was a very good question, but one he already had an answer for without even having to think too much about it. "It wouldn't be fair." The volume of his voice was just barely louder then before. "It wouldn't feel right if I asked for more then one. I'm not accustomed to asking others to take care of my problems for me, so you see, simply asking for one to be killed is hard for me." But he did want then both dead. He wanted them gone, and burning in hell. Sevanni had no idea just how badly he wanted for them to be gone so he could finally stop worrying and waiting for them to just show up again. He wanted to forget everything they did, but he couldn't knowing they were still alive.
"You know that I of all people love a good kill. Do it in front of you just for fun." He stiffened for just a second as he realized something. He'd have to go with him. He'd have to be there to show him where they lived. Dammit. He didn't want to be anywhere near them. He didn't want to hear their stupid voices taunting him about the past, because that's what they would do. They would cause as much pain to him as they could before they were dead. They might even try and run. Julian was the one well known for running when he thought he might actually die. He was a good fighter but he never liked to take the chance of actually losing. He was the only vampire Shaden knew that actually liked fire. Well.. liked to play with fire. He used to burn human alive just to hear their screams.
"I know you do," A hint of a smile on his lips as he spoke, "And unless you know your way around Germany very well, you probably wouldn't even find them." A soft sigh. "I guess I'll have to come with you. However... there is one good thing about going back to Germany again." Now there was a small amount of sadness to his voice as he said, "I can go and see my sisters grave." It had been so many years since he'd done that. He could risk the chance going back there. With them gone. He could finally go visit her grave. It made him sad and yet at the same time glad.

[atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] "It wouldn't be fair." A slow sly grin arose over lips to those very words. "There is nothing fair about murder. Especially when it's by my hands or order." But Shaden knew this. He knew very well that Sevanni could do horrible things, though the world had yet to actually see his damage done. With the exception of past wars of course, but in all honesty, there was a severity in his actions that would last a long time and very well end up in the history books.
He was so tense. So.....strung up on the very thought that Sevanni could feel it throughout his entire upper frame as he held him. "It wouldn't feel right if I asked for more then one. I'm not accustomed to asking others to take care of my problems for me, so you see, simply asking for one to be killed is hard for me." But two was always better than one. "You can ask me for anything...I told you that...." Sure, because he'd been marked territory from the jump of their new found friendship....intimacy was a bitch, but it was too damn good to let go.
Sevanni enjoyed Shaden around. It had been as if a calm settled over the house and all was relaxed. Nothing could make him stem in anger so long as he felt Shaden relaxed and nearby. He'd been so lenient with Darien and PsyChi that he almost forgot to lose his nerve. Like when Darien had to redo the library after refinishing it in New York. Poor thing. So, Sevanni made it a point to let Darien explore out on his own. It had been a test. See if he fled again. It had to have been Schuyler's fault and if Sevanni had a say in it, the bastard would be locked away in a trinket box just for the fun of it. He desperately ached to chop his head off himself in front of the Ice Queen.
"You know that I of all people love a good kill. Do it in front of you just for fun." "I know you do," Shaden gave a hint of a smile and Sevanni could feel it at the turn of his cheek. They matched now. Sevanni shedding his own devious and sinful grin against his.
"And unless you know your way around Germany very well, you probably wouldn't even find them." A soft sigh left Shaden's lips and Sevanni couldn't help but wonder if that was a good idea. Sevanni damn sure didn't know Germany as well as he should have. It was one of the many places he didn't like to go. "I guess I'll have to come with you. However... there is one good thing about going back to Germany again." He never faltered on his hold. Comfortably wrapped around him as if he were damn near spooning him. He didn't like when his people were sad, angry, showed signs of unhappiness, and it was his job, his duty and self reserve that kept him on their trail to be happy. Satisfied.
A low quizzical hum left his throat in a deepened tone. His tightness was looser now. Not as much tension as he had before and the more Sevanni tried to console him, the easier it was to feel that tension leave his body. "I can go and see my sisters grave." That comment had to make Sevanni pause and take a non breather. How alike they were. Killing their siblings. Though Shaden had been driven to it by blood hunger than anything. Sevanni simply killed the beast within Ezra because he knew he was something unnatural. Both filled with regret and sadness.
What was he to say to that? How should he respond?
"We can leave first thing tomorrow night if you'd like." Sevanni's arms slipped free of Shaden's form, he didn't move away, but rather, turned him around and met half way at the swivel. "I promise.....you will never have to feel the way you do now when it comes to them." And so long as the rule of killing your maker meant killing yourself didn't apply in this game of chance, Shaden would be alright. He'd be more than alright after.
Now hands were taken by his as they stood face to face. Lacing finers through fingers seemed just as natural with him as it had a female. There was just no comparison. "I told you.....I will take care of you....and anything else you could possibly want." His head ventured in closer to Shaden's and Sevanni kissed the tip of his nose before backing away to a normal stance. "It's not always about material things." Oh no, just a life or two, but this he could handle. Murdering someone or someones' in this case just to make another happy. This was not just another, it was Shaden, his Shaden.
"So...now that that's out of the way, what would you like to do? You have me for the rest of the night." He'd call Marcus and have him make arrangements for tomorrow nights rendezvous. Of course he'd have to take a trip to the stock room and make sure he packed a very special bag. There was no doubt about who he was going to kill, which made things a bit easier seeing as how Sevanni didn't much like that Shaden hadn't fully belonged to Sevanni, but this was another step closer in that direction.

"We can leave first thing tomorrow night if you'd like." So soon. Could it really happen so quickly. One night they were alive, and the next they weren't. He'd like that very much. So much more then he could ever possibly say. Arms slipped from around him, and for a second a spike of despair went through him. He wanted to be held that way. His started to open, preparing to give a small complaint, but it wasn't necessary as Sevanni turned him, meeting him half way.
So now he stood facing him, which was just as good as being held by him. It amazed him to realize how much Sevanni had changed him, and his life. He didn't use to live like this, and he never had the type of feelings he had now. Sevanni didn't even know about them, even with his new little ability to listen in in his emotions. These feelings were so tightly locked away and hidden that they were hardly even there at all. It was safer that way. He wondered how Sevanni might react to such emotions coming from Shaden. The need to always be there with him, to do his best to make him happy when he came to see him, which was often, and then of course there were others.
"I promise.....you will never have to feel the way you do now when it comes to them." Shaden looked down at their hands, as if suddenly distracted. Could he really promise that? Oh, but he so wanted to believe it. He looked back up at him, his eyes almost hopeful, and smiled softly. What Shaden really wanted was to forget them completely. As far as he was concerned, after they were dead, they had never existed in the first place.
Hands moving toward his, taking them and linking fingers with his own. As if this was a natural thing to him like everything else. Almost like a reflex. "I told you.....I will take care of you....and anything else you could possibly want." Normally, if this had been anyone other then Sevanni, he would have said that he'd taken care of himself for a long time without help from anyone, but this was Sevanni, and Shaden found that it sort of felt good knowing at least someone was there for him when for so many years he'd been alone.
Then, something completely surprising, Sevanni kissed the tip of his nose. He didn't disapprove of the action, it was simply so rare for that to happen to him. He bit his bottom lip, something that was also very rare for him. It happen only once in a great while, most of the time when he was starting to get just a little nervous or other similar emotions. They were touching on some serious topics. And Sevanni saying the things he was, he wasn't use to that. To that sort of... kindness. Was that sad?
"It's not always about material things." He couldn't help but to chuckle to that. "Well that's good, because I really don't have much use for material things." He shrugged. "Though.. I do love my cars." A smile pulling at the corners of his lips. Ah, yes. His cars. If Sevanni ever felt the need to give him something, then it should be a car. Whether it was made for looks or speed it didn't matter. A nice car was always nice to have more of. Material things had lost most of their meaning to him a long time ago. He was use to moving around a lot. Going from one place to another, hardly staying in once place for very long. So he'd leaned very quickly that it was so much faster to move when he had less things to bring along with him, and after a certain amount of time, he simply stopped caring about much of anything expect his own damn life. He'd found it was the easiest way to live. For him, anyway.
"So...now that that's out of the way, what would you like to do? You have me for the rest of the night." Oh? He had him for the rest of the night? That was perfect. He wondered what they would do. He was sure it would have absolutely nothing to do with sex. Yeah right. That's what usually ended up happening. Not that he was complaining about that, and he hadn't heard Sevanni complain about it either. The sex was great. Better then great. It always was. But sometimes he didn't want the night to always be about that. He wanted more then just sex. However.. what else he wanted was unclear.
Sevanni was always trying to make him happy, maybe what they did shouldn't even be up to Shaden. "Every time you come here its always about what I want, but you should know that I'm happy simply being with you. So, I'm interested. What do you want, Sevanni?" Yes, he was cheating, trying to get out of thinking of something for them to do. But what he wasn't a lie though. He was interested. He'd give him anything he wanted. He wanted so much to make him happy. To please him however he could, even when it was so obvious that he didn't need to.

[atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] "Well that's good, because I really don't have much use for material things." He shrugged just as Sevanni had given a short little smirk "Though.. I do love my cars." Something they both shared. Sevanni had a love for fine cars, and since he had mentioned it, perhaps he'd get him one of his own to have around Italy. He never saw Shaden or heard him, hop in his own car and venture off. Sevanni had many that he could let go, Italian made. It had been a reasonable car to have around, or sport about on a long open road. Yes, that was a nice idea.
With that pushed aside, Sevanni had asked him what he wanted to do. Normally he would have spent the night sitting in his lounge chair with Darien reading him a tale from one of his new found novel interest. Tonight Darien had a free night, and so there would be no story telling.
A long drive was always nice. He had fed a little earlier and had some play time with Ixandra before her departure to return to work. Something Sevanni was most unhappy with, but his mortals did need a life of there own. Her's would be over before she so much as aged an inch. She was perfect as she was and Sevanni adored her. So a bite to eat was out of the question. Not because he was full, oh no. Sevanni was never full.
"Every time you come here its always about what I want, but you should know that I'm happy simply being with you. So, I'm interested. What do you want, Sevanni?" No one had ever asked him that before. Not one single person had come out of their mouth with an unselfish question when it came to wondering what it was Sevanni wanted.
It struck him hard. Unexpected. He was sure he heard wrong, but he knew he hadn't. Sevanni had dropped hands by his side and backed away and sat on the arm of the couch with a sort of lean. Arms folded over his chest as he tried to regain the depths of this question. What did he want? He always got what he wanted, but no one had actually asked him what. So what did Sevanni want?
A good nights sleep. More bodies down for the count with the important ones mounted on his wall, their heads so perfectly lined up. A deep rooted massage to wash away all of the heaviness he felt night after night. Sit by the fire with a good book of poetry and listen to words flow off of that tongue in that voice he carried. Shaden's voice was far more soothing than he had expected. When he spoke he spoke very little and knowing him now, he was able to hear him more and more, and in that process, had been sucked into the comfort that was he. Damn that Shaden.
He needed a fucking cigar!
So here it was. Something Sevanni hardly got to do. The last time he was able to do it he was called away because Nixie wanted to go to that blasted ball. Before that, Emiste had been taken out for a hunt, and before that.....well, there wasn't much of free time to do anything.
"How about we stay in, and watch some movies?" That's what he wanted to do. It didn't matter what. Sevanni didn't much watch television, or movies, game shows. He had heard of soap operas but those had been concluded as addicting. Maybe Shaden had an idea......
Sevanni was a fan of old crap. Black and Whites. Modern times had been so upon him that the only thing recent he had watched was Hannibal and even that was old. After all, Sevanni had been a fan of Dr. Lecter when he was alive. Shared a meal or two with him, and of course it was of the unusual sort.
"You can pick.....just as long as there are no interruptions." And there shouldn't have been. No one was allowed to this end of Shaden's house unless it was Marcus or Annaliah come to seek out Sevanni for something of importance, and that had been a rare thing since Shaden had decided to take refuge within Sevanni's domain.

It was sort of shocking, hearing an unselfish question leave his mouth, especially since lately he'd been very, very selfish, where as Sevanni was concerned that it. He watched Sevanni's reaction to the question with a small amused grin on his lips. He seemed just as surprised as Shaden was, maybe even more so. Which made Shaden think that hardly anyone ever asked what he wanted, if anyone at all. He'd have to make sure to ask him every so often. He watched him concentrate on whatever it was he was thinking about, most likely trying to sort through the things he wanted, and deciding on what he was going to tell him. And he waited patiently for him to make his choice. Staying silent and wondering what he would want. Would it involve leaving? He wouldn't mind, of course. He really had no idea what Sevanni's request would be. So because Shaden had been watching him so closely, he could tell when he'd finally made his choice. "How about we stay in, and watch some movies?" That was highly unexpected. It sounded like such a normal thing. He loved it. It was perfect. Shaden was surprised he hadn't been able to think of something like that. He smiled, "That's a great idea." He wasn't just saying that to make him happy. Already his mind was racing a head, thinking of the movies he owned and which one would be good to watch first. Or should he ask Sevanni what he wanted? Wouldn't that be the right thing to do, after all it had been his decision to watch movies. "You can pick.....just as long as there are no interruptions." Well that was helpful. And as for the no interruptions part, that was easy. He turned and walked to where he kept all his movies, and as he did so he took the cell phone from his pocket and turned it off. Not that anyone would be calling him. There were very few people on his contacts list, and most of them knew better then just to randomly call his phone. No, they waited for Shaden to call them first. It made things easier that way, but still, he felt he should turn the phone off just in case. He looked over the DVDs, he'd gotten several new ones this month. What they needed was a good comedy movie to start with. Shaden didn't actually watch comedy movies too much. He was more into the horror and crime movies. A lot of action and shooting. But every so often he'd get an urge to watch something different. He find the movie he wanted. The Hangover. He took the disc out while he walked to the DVD player, once he put it in he went and sat down on the couch he turned the t.v onto the channel it needed to be at. "I hope this is okay. I just sort of felt like watching a comedy." He smiled softly as he looked over at him, and then back at the screen a couple seconds later. He wasn't sure how close he'd be allowed to sit next to Sevanni. He wanted to he close, but he also wanted to give Sevanni his space if he wanted it. Yes, they'd been together. There was a lot of intimacy, but that didn't actually mean Sevanni wanted him to always be right there next to him. Shaden forced his eyes to stay on the screen instead of glancing over at Sevanni, which he so desperately wanted to do.

[atrb=width,375,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] "That's a great idea." At least he didn't snicker or admit to how corny it had been. Sevanni hardly got the chance to lay back and watch something interesting. Or in the least, worth while. From time to time there was Jeopardy, but the answers were getting easier and easier with each passing year so he gave that up. Even a game of monopoly with Shaden sounded fun. As long as he was spending time with him, that's what mattered to him the most. There was always time for other stuff, but that had been so plowed from Sevanni's mind that he hadn't so much as thought about it recently whilst in his presence.
Shaden moved about, going through his collection of DVD's. He really had to get him something to add to it. It was nearly as big as his own, which was fun for him to watch others climb to get a gander at some of the other movies he had. Poor ponderers. Shaden turned his phone off about the same time Sevanni had. Letting his phone lay about the floor below on the side of the couch. He could kick back with socks and a casual tone about the room spoke more comfort. It was mainly Shaden. Whenever Shaden was calm around Sevanni, Sevanni was calm, and that usually bled through the house.
"I hope this is okay. I just sort of felt like watching a comedy." Shaden made his way over to the couch, as Sevanni made himself comfortable. "I'm sue anything you pick is fine." He was sure because he probably wouldn't be able to keep his eyes on the movie at all. Too much view to appreciate really.
He caught the occasional glance over during the rolling credits to other movies. Previews or so they called them. Alright, this would annoy him all night long if he didn't do something about it. So, Sevanni leaned back against the side of the couch, turning his body as he took Shaden's hand and led him closer while slipping a leg behind him. Pulling him close so he could lay across Sevanni's front and still see the screen.
An arm moved over Shaden's chest, eventually those fingers would scuttle across his well built frame, however Godly his body had looked, Sevanni could refrain from molesting him for an hour or two. Maybe. He hadn't even asked for the title of the movie, but rather, trusted his judgement. If he didn't like where the movie was going, he could simply ask to see another. But seriously, when was the last time he had a good laugh? Or either of them really?
So he would admit it. "I'm glad I came by tonight....." He started as his free handlet fingers roam up to his hair for fingers to fiddle with strands of what was left. "You have way about putting me in a relaxing mood." Which he had. There was no reason to hold that truth in much longer.

[atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000]
The previews rolled across the screen. Shaden could have easily skipped past them, he could have reached for the remote and went past them all and get straight into the movie, but he wasn't in any kind of rush for it to start. He wasn't trying to hurry the movie along in any way because the longer it lasted, the longer Sevanni would stay. The longer they would be sitting on the couch together, spending time together in a way they never really had before. It was something different. Something wonderful.
His eyes stayed locked on the screen, still fighting the terrible temptation to look over at him. He was so perfect, at least to Shaden he was. He found it hard to believe he had once hated him. He found it so unimaginable that even his memories of that dark and horrible time seemed to be slightly blurred and not all their. He didn't want to remember that time. He lived for the here and now. And right now he was with Sevanni, even if no one knew about it, and their was no one and nothing that could ever separate him from Sevanni.
He finally looked away from the t.v when he caught Sevanni's movements out of the corner of his eye. Turning, and leaning against the side of the couch, and reaching for him, grabbing his hand and pulling him closer. There was no resistance, no hesitation. Of course not. This was what he had wanted but hadn't wanted to say anything. Sevanni's leg moved behind him and Shaden lay across his chest. More comfortable there then anywhere else. There was simply no comparison to anything else. A breath that wasn't needed was pulled through slightly parted lips, taking in his scent and relaxing completely against him in a way that he had never done with anyone else before.
It was like Sevanni was able to slip past every shield and guard he'd built up over the years to protect himself from others. He slipped right past all of them and made Shaden relax, and made every little worry he had just vanish. With Sevanni, there was no past or future. Just that moment and nothing more. The whole world could go to hell while he was with him and he wouldn't even care.
Sevanni's arm moved over him, and it was something about his touch that seemed to set his body on fire, though he knew it was all in his head. He wanted more of him. He wanted to be apart of him. Him being marked just didn't seem like enough. But what else could they do? How else could they be any closer, could Shaden be more a part of him. He didn't know, and he wouldn't dare ask.
"I'm glad I came by tonight....." He was glad to, though he was always glad when Sevanni came to see him. It didn't matter the reason for his visit and if it was only for a moment. If he got to see him, then he was happy. His other hand moved to his head, letting fingers run through his hair. He sighed, though the sound was almost a purr. "You have a way about putting me in a relaxing mood." Shaden could say that about Sevanni too. He smiled. He was glad to here Sevanni say that, and a little surprised that he actually admitted to it.
"You make me relaxed too. More then anyone has before." His tone even proved how relaxed he truly was, it was just a soft murmurer, almost lazy; in no rush to move the words through his lips any faster. "And I like being close to you. I practically live for your visits. I just wish-" He stopped himself before he could admit his new little secret. That he wanted to be closer. So much closer, but not even knowing if it was actually even possible. Which it probably wasn't. But he could dream right?
