his breath had almost been knocked out of him.Landing hard on his back, Polnareff made use of his opponent's imbalance by grabbing him by the collar, his other claw swinging toward his face.

Jacob felt the harsh pain as Jean struck him with his claws. The vampire fell to the ground, his back bouncing off of the soft grass. Blood dripped from parts of his face, his lips were somewhat busted. Jacob had to push himself off the ground and stood facing Jean before leaping up onto one of the trees, jumping from branch to branch around Jean, with the intention on managing a sneak attack. Hopefully, his speed would be enough to overcome the beast, seeing as his strength took him nowhere.

As Jacob whizzed from tree to tree, Polnareff attempted to follow him with his eyes, to reveal his strategy. He soon became frustrated at it and resorted to brute force. Gripping a nearby tree trunk, he strained his muscles and wrenched it's roots from the earth. With a savage howl he swung the weapon around him.

Jacob just narrowly dodged the tree trunk and leaped from one of the branches, his feet extended, the wind flapping against his trench coat, making it look like the wings of a raven in the dim sky. Spiraling down, he saw himself dropping closer towards Jean, getting ready to kick the werewolf in his neck, hoping that his feet would be able to collide with the upper part of his body if not his head, for that would surely either end, or postpone, the battle.

Polnareff barely had time to turn his head before what felt like a sledgehammer collided with his shoulder. Sending waves of pain up his arm, he fell sideways into the grass. Dropping his weapon, he immediately crawled backwards, holding his injured left arm.
"Why Jacob?"

"I should be asking you that."
With that, Jacob pressed his fingers down on the werewolf's neck, hoping to, if briefly, render him immobile, before using his vampyric strength to heave Jean over his shoulder and begin to carry him through the forest. He was incredibly heavy, weighing Jacob down whether he was moving or not. Sweat scribbled across Jacob's face struggling to take him, especially with all the wounds that decorated his body. It was a shame, he thought, what he'd have to do to keep his cousin in check when arriving home.

Jean growled in reply. First Jacob beat hm....then he paralyzed him.... It was annoying..no humiliating for him to be defeated in such a manner! Extremely irritated that things didn't go as planned, Polnareff tried in vain to move his limbs.

As Jacob carried Jean on his back, his heavy weight starting to settle on Jacob's worn and tired form, his boots picking up the mood that covered the grass, he eyed his cousin, glaring at him with disdain yet at the same time shame. How did this happen? Now Jacob knew for certain something occurred during Jean's absence, something that he wasn't revealing. Heaving a sigh.
"I'm sorry I had to put you through that but you left me no choice. Jean, tell me what really happened to you out there. If not, I can't be held accountable for my actions."

Jean snorted in response. "As if nothing happened to you huh? I wouldn't of dreamed you becoming another leech." Spitting in disgust, Polnareff was quiet for a minute. "Nothing serious happened. I mugged the wrong guy and paid for it. Simple."

Jacob struggled to carry Jean, his strength depleting with each step, shrugging off the stress his new body had on his back. His house was only a few or so minutes away and that alone was motivation enough to keep him from collapsing. He decided not to pursue a conversation with his cousin, still baffled and somewhat hurt that he had become a werewolf. Jacob often wanted to encounter that new brand of species but grimaced at the fact that his own family became a part of them. The irony in it was startling. Finally, his house started to appear over several trees and bushes. Now, he could only think of what his next action would be. If any.
