Annie bit her lip as she paced around the park. It was dark so hopefully known would over hear their "conversation." Nix needed to talk to to her and Tarus about something. She remembered her promise to Tarus and she would keep it. She sat on a bench and held her head in her hands. She couldn't let her secret slip. She wasn't ready to die yet.

Tarus saw Annie sitting with her head in her hands, and made his way over to her. "So, Nix told you to meet her here too I am guessing?" He didn't need to guess what it was Nix wanted to talk about. He had a knot in his stomach just thinking about it. He had seen Nix at her unhappiest before - he wasn't really eager to face THAT again, their relationship was still so new, new enough that he still allowed himself to doubt her feelings for him at times. He cringed as his vivid imagination recalled the look on her face the last time she had tried to kill him - he imagined thats about what he would be faced with again tonight, although in truth, he knew he couldn't really blame her for wanting to kill him now....his mouth had gotten the better of him again, and truthfully he deserved whatever befell him.

Annie looked up as she heard Annie talking to her. "Ya, she did." She sighed, just thinking about what it could be. She did hear her arguing to herself last night. Punching the wall. "I don't know what about, though. I could hear her punching things in her room but that was it." She scooted over to give Tarus some room. He would want to sit when Nix got here.

Tarus cringed again... "Punching things?" that was not good. So she was REALLY angry then. Well, at least he wouldn't have to suffer long - she'd prolly rip his head off in seconds. "great" he moaned, slumping his shoulders a bit, resolved to take whatever consequences came to him. "I really should watch my mouth...I should have never said anything to you about...us. My fault. I will take all the blame when she gets here, no sense in you two fighting as well..."

Nix walked into the park with her heart in her throat. She had told Tarus and Annie to meet her here so she could confess something to her younger sister. She didn't want to hide another important person in her life from the only other one there was. It had been eating at her since her and Tarus got together. She fought with herself about how she was going to do this...If they were both already here before her, she may just come to Tarus dead...She knew Tarus would never fight her sister back, knowing exactly what she would think about that. She finally allowed herself to look up, afraid of what she would see...However, the scene that was in her mind and the scene that was before her eyes were completely polar opposites...
They were sitting together, talking reasonably...What the HELL is up with that?! Why would Annie suddenly decide to just RANDOMLY talk to some vampire civily? Phoenix growled, getting ready to go give her sister one hell of a lecture before a thought slapped her in the face. They have met eachother before!
Phoenix walked quickly up to the two of them, glaring at them both suspeciously. She had a idea that her sister already knew the knews that Phoenix had been fighting with herself as to whether or not she was going to reveal... But there was still one question that REALLY needed to be answered. "So, when did you two meet?" She said, crossing her arms over her chest, raising one eyebrow at the both of them.

Tarus looked up from his thoughts as Phoenix approached. Watched as the expression on her face changed from apprehension - apprehension? that confused him - to relief, to curiosity, to anger. He sighed, he'd expected the anger... but not all the others.
He smiled weakly at her, glad to see her as always, not so glad to see her angry at him. There was no use trying to fool her either, he never wanted to lie to her, valuing honesty way too much for that, so he answered her question straight out.
"An amusement park in New York. I was there one night, on my way to win you something and ran into her - literally."

Annie shivered as she saw her sister coming. She saw the anger on her face. Oh shit, she knows!" She glared at Tarus. Lying bastard! She looked at her sister when she asked how they met and Tarus told her. "Oh...Well..." She looked around. "I almost killed him till I smelled him on you! What's that all about?" She was trying to turn the attention to Nix not her.

Phoenix raised one eyebrow at the both of them as they gave her the answer, and then her little sister tried to turn the attention onto her. Despite her resolve not to let it work, it did. She raised her chin at her sister, refusing to cower before her younger sister, especially not over this. She wasn't embarrassed of Tarus, and she wouldn't act like it.
"You smelled him on me because..." She took a deep breath, trying to prepare herself for her sisters anger. In a rush she continued, "Because me and Tarus are dating now." She said, never letting her eyes leave her sister's face, watching every expression that crossed her features.

Annie stood up, staring her sister in the eyes. "I already knew that. Tarus told me when we met." Her hand flew to her mouth. Oh god, she wasn't supposed to say that. She gave Tarus a sympathetic look. She also gave him pleading eyes. Please don't tell She thought. She sat back down and looked down. She was dead and so was Tarus. Her sister was probably gonna beat her with Tarus's dead body.

Tarus had been wary of this conversation from the beginning. But he saw how Nix raised her chin slightly as she spoke - almost as if she was defending him. Of course, he knew she didn't need to because he had already told Annie himself, and he knew she had her own secrets...but it was still nice to know that Nix WOULD defend him, and wasn't turning her back on their relationship. He smiled at her, wanting to gather her up and keep her in his arms, never letting her go.
And then Annie spoke - God that girl was in about as much control of her mouth as he was his! He swore under his breath, but left if at that. He was above the eye for an eye games....he wouldn't reveal her, he'd promised not to. Even though Phoenix would probably kill him, bury him, then dig him up and kill him again for keeping this from her, in addition to running his mouth about their own relationship, he was true to his word. He'd promised he'd take the blame...and thats exactly what he was going to do. He looked nervously at Nix...

Phoenix took a small step back at what her sister said, it was so unexpected. For a moment Phoenix could only feel elation that her sister wasn't furious with her, that she hadn't lunged at her for betraying their parents, but then what she said fully registered. Tarus had told her?! Nix swung around on him, simply staring at him for a long moment. She didn't speak, didn't move, hell, she didn't even BREATHE. She simply looked at him, as if trying to figure out what to do.
She thumped him in the middle of the forehead, as if to knock some sense into his brain. "You. Told. Annie?!" The words came out through clenched teeth. "You told Annie and you kept it from me?! So, not only did you MEET Annie, and you kept that from me, but you also told her about us?! What did I tell you about letting your mouth over ride your brain?!"
She turned her head to look at her sister, studying her features. "How angry are you, Annie?" She couldn't help but ask the question.

Annie felt really bad as Nix yelled at her. She looked down when Nix asked her how angry she was. "I'm not angry, nix." She sighed and looked at her sister. "I...I...." She just couldn't get it out. She put a big fake smile on her face. "I'm happy for you! Even if he is a vampire." She put a hand on her sisters shoulder. "I just want you to be happy. Just be careful."

Tarus cringed under Nix's glare. He wanted to whimper like a little puppy - he HATED when she was angry at him, and this wasn't like all the other times....this was different, more personal. He looked from Annie to Nix....it was obvious Annie wasn't up to telling her. That was not good for him. One of them was going to hate him. He was trying to decide which one he feared that from more. Phoenix was already pissed at him - would be more so when she found out that he'd kept this from her too. But, he'd promised Annie - and he didn't want to be one of those vampires who went back on their word.
He didn't know what to do. Either way felt like lying. Either he lied to Phoenix by ommission or lied to Annie by breaking his promise. I should have never promised her he thought, then got frustrated Why the hell did she tell me in the first place?!
He didn't say a word. He knew more would be coming later from Nix, but right now, she was relieved that Annie wasn't angry with her. And really, Nix's happiness was all that mattered to him. So what if he had to endure a litle hell for it? He told her he'd do anything for her - that included this.

Phoenix let out the breath that she'd been holding, and stopped chewing on her bottom lip--her nervous habbit. Her lip was bleeding again because of how hard she'd bitten it. She closed her eyes for a minute, praying up to whatever gods there were, thanking them that her sister wasn't going to disown her or anything. Phoenix didn't know how she would have been able to take that. She knew that her sister was holding something back, but she knew that it had nothing to do with her and Tarus...Her sister wouldn't lie to her, especially not about something like that. She cocked her head to one side. "What is it, Annie? I just told you something that could have made you never want to speak with me again, now you can tell me anything, and I promise I won't be mad."
Now that her sister wasn't mad at her, she wasn't going to lash out at Tarus. She actually felt kind of bad going off on him. She would have to work on that, laching out at people when she was afraid of something. She grabbed his hand and laced her fingers through his, standing beside him. "Sorry about the fit." She said, smiling sheepishly, her green eyes flashing.

It was really hard to keep his mouth shut at that moment. Aww, hell he thought as Nix grabbed his hand and apologized, now he was going to feel even worse for withholding information from her. He almost would rather her rip him to shreds in anger right now than apologize for her slight outburst which he felt he truly 100% deserved. She was right he couldn't control his mouth. Except, ironically, at the most inconvenient times. Yhis was one of those times. He only wished he would slip now, get it all out in the open so he wouldn't have to go through the torture of keeping secrets from her for one more day. But unfortunately, as focused as he was on the topic at hand, that was unlikely to happen. Instead, he squeezed her hand lightly and smiled feebly at her. "I'm the one that should be sorry." he said quietly.
