Phoenix looked from her sister to Tarus again, thinking there was something missing. They both knew something that she didn't know, and she thuoght about coming out and asking them, but she decided to let it rest. She wasn't going to make her sister come out with it if she didn't want to, so she would just drop it. Annie would tell her on her own time. "Don't be sorry love. Although, we are going to have to work on that big mouth of yours, let it slip to the wrong person, and Patrick may just send someone to kill me..Or worse, you."

Tarus growled low when she mentioned someone coming to kill her. Over his pile of ash!! It was moments like these he wished most desperately to find some miracle vampire reversal venom. He cursed Emiste for the millionth time. "No one touches you." he ground out. He'd kill them all. He'd rip them apart one by .....no...he wouldn't, he knew he wouldn't tear apart her family. Not unless they tried to hurt her. Hurt him they could do...hurt her and they were dead dogs.

Pheonix laughed slightly, shaking her head. His protective streak was very sweet and kind of cute...But she knew it was for nothing at the moment. She could take a couple of wolves from the pack. "You insist on protecting me, yet you will not let me protect you? And why is that, Tarus? You know better than any that I can handle myself, I kicked your ass enough times within a year time spand so that you could attest to that."

Tarus had to chuckle at her - it was true, she had roughed him up quite a bit in the past. And she COULD hold her own - if she had to...his intent was for her to never have to. "If you ever have to defend yourself, I feel sorry for whoever is trying to attack you - but, while I am around, I am not about to sit out and watch. What kind of guy would I be if I just let my girlfriend walk into a fight, and NOT try to protect her? Honestly, you have to allow me the pleasure of doing the right thing..." He shook his head at her. "Its not that I don't think you capable love."

Nix rolled her eyes exageratedly at her sister, showing her that he was always like this. "The kind that would let his girlfriend have some fun. It's healthy to let out a little repressed anger every now and then, and a few roudy wolves who wants to hold a grudge and stick their muzzles into something that is completely none of their business is the best way to do that. I could understand if they sent half the pack after me, but not even one?" She asked, sticking out her bottom lip and putting on her best pouty face.

He laughed at her pouty face, "maybe if the one was very young, inexperiences and I was holding him by the scruff the entire time...." he laughed, "then we could talk about it. If you need to let out some anger, spar with me, not wolves - not even other vampires. ok?"
He laughed, but he truly was waorried about her. again not because she couldn't fight....but because he loved her, he couldn't risk a single mistake that would take her from him.

Annie laughed and listened to Tarus trying to explain to Nix why she didn't have to fight. "Keep talking, Tarus. She'll always find a way to fight." She snickered when her sister rolled her eyes. She gave her a sympathetic nod. Annie tilted her head to the side and looked at them. They were so cute. She knew her and Gage were cuter. She giggled quietly to herself.

She just shook her head, her blonde hair covering her eyes. "You're hopeless, love. But I have to admit, it's kinda adorable the way you insist on protecting me, even when you know better than anyone alive that I can hold my own in a fight." She looked at her sister and grinned, pointing her free hand at her. "See that girl there? She knows me well, she knows I can't stand to not get into a fight for long, I get edgy....And plus, it wouldn't be any fun taking my anger out on you, because you wouldnt' fight back even if I begged you."

Tarus's ice blue eyes twinkled at her for half a second before he tackled her without warning and pinned her to the ground - not really caring that Annie was watching. He growled in Nix's face playfully, and kissed her neck, gently scraping his teeth across her skin. "Why don't you beg me then and test that theory?" he whispered to her, too low for annie to hear.

She landed on her back with a small huff and started laughing, her green eyes flashing up at him for a quick second. "Oh, you would do that infront of my sister now would you? Trying to make yourself look sly I see." She said, nuzzling into his neck for a moment, nipping his neck in silent retaliation. She giggled quietly at his whispered challenge. "Perhaps later, but at the moment my little sister is within the direct vacinity. We wouldn't want to turn into Mr. and Mrs. Smith with her sitting right there, now would we?" She asked, her voice teasing.

Tarus pretended to think about that for a minute, holding her down still. "Hm...I guess not. Although...it might teach her a few things...." he stopped suddenly, realizing what he had been about to say. He stood up quickly, pulling her with him. "Sorry about that Annie." he said to her, "sometimes I just can't resist tackling her." he smiled mischievously at Nix. "And most of the time you deserve it." he murmured at her.
He didn't know, maybe he wouldn't mind a little sparring with her...he could never hurt her, but a little play never hurt anyone, right?

Phoenix's eyes widened at what he said, and what he left unsaid. She smacked his chest playfully, glaring at him. Her sister didn't need to learn ANYTHING in that catagory....From anyone. She needed to stay innocent for the rest of her life. She leaned against him, wrapping both of hisi arms around her waist, lacing her fingers through his. "Don't let him lie to you, Annie, he just needs an excuse to be in some form of physical contact with me at all times. He can't help himself." She simply grinned up at him in response to his comment to her.
Perhaps one night, preferably a night when her sister wasn't feet from them, she would have to see if he would be up for a little play spar...It should definately be interresting. Just the thought had her smiling, and she shook her head, trying not to laugh.

Tarus pretended to be hurt when she smacked him, "OW!" he protested though still smiling. He was glad Nix had seeminly misunderstood him..He'd ben about to say something about Annie and Gage's relationship, so he wasn't about to try to explain what he'd really meant. Instead he allowed her wrap herself up in his arms, all the while explaining how he needed to be in contact with her at all times...she was right of couse, he couldn't stay away from her for more than half a minute. But he feigned shock anyway, "Me? Need to be in contact with you at all times? I though it was YOU who needed contact with ME." he said as he lowered his head to rest his chin on top of her head, pulling her into a tighter embrace.

"Oh now you are delusional. I don't HAVE to be in contact with you, I'm perfectly fine just looking at you. I could go all night without touching you." Even as she said it, she knew it was a lie as she stood there with her back against his chest and his arms wrapped around her. She wouldn't tell him that though, it would give him too much satisfaction. Had to keep a tight leach on a guy letting his ego inflate too much. She smiled to herself as the thought passed through her mind. Ironic that the one creature who she'd sworn to hunt down and kill, to hate for the rest of her life, now ended up being the one she loved.

Tarus smiled down at her, "Uh-huh love, like I believe that for even one second. You need me too ya know." He said teasing her again. "So I am glad this little meeting worked out so well... I hate it when I think I am in trouble."
Tarus looked around, it was a very nice day out. "Lets get out of here and see if we can find something more interesting to do..." he murmured in her ear.
