She snarled slighlty at his comment. "You may not care what they do to you, but I do, dammit. They won't touch me. James was a good friend of theirs, and yet he betrayed them by loving a vampire. They didn't touch him, not physically anyway. Why would they care about me? I just joined the pack not too long ago, I don't know anyone in the pack all too well, and sure as hell not well enough to have made any friendships with them."
She didn't breathe for a minute when he had ahold of her chin and was forcing her to look at him. Why wasn't she smacking his hand away from her? Dammit to hell, things were getting far too complicated. "Why do you care?" She asked as he mentioned the fact that she was going to make her lip bleed again. She wasn't being hardheaded about it like she normally would have been, she genuinely wanted to know why he cared so much.
She allowed him to pull her against him in an embrace and she allowed herself to relax for just a second against him, sighing quietly against his shirt. She didn't knwo what the hell was wrong with her for allowing this, but she didn't really care all that much right now. She would have time to care in the morning.
"I don't know how to stop worrying. I don't even know how to let someone else worry for me." And she didn't. She had always been the one to worry about things, especially after her parents murder. She'd always been the one to worry about things. It was all she knew, and she definately didn't know how to allow someone else to worry.

Tarus was taken slightly aback by her slight snarl. But he didn't release her. "If you have to ask me why I care...." he started, but the sighed, "Maybe I should ask you why you care if they hurt me. Didn't you vow to kill me? If they kill me, what are you losing?" He had the urge again to kiss her, but forced it back... "But if they kill you, I lose everything." he whispered. She had said herself she hadn't been with the pack very long. They may kill her for being with him, if in fact she had been there such a short amount of time that she had not established certain ties. She was beautiful, looking at him that way, irritatation and skepticism shining through her facial expression. "Besides," he added, "you've done nothing wrong - its not like you fell in love with a vampire." he grinned. He was baiting her, he knew it, and he did it anyway. But he needed to know where she stood with him, even if she herself didn't know yet. When this night ended, he didn't know when he'd get another chance...

She smiled slightly, her green eyes catching the dim light of the club. "Yes, I said that I would kill you. That means that no others are allowed to touch you, it is my job. No one will lay a hand on you, because I say so." She said, trying to tease him. She was sober now, and was trying to mind what she said. "So if they kill you, then I'm losing out on my fun, on the hunt. I'm a wolf, Tarus, we love the thrill of the hunt." She said, ,grining up at him, doing her best to get him out of this mood. At his last comment, she looked down at the ground for just a second before pulling herself up to her full height--not very tall--and nodded. "That's right. It's not like I've fell in love with a vampire." But as she said it, a kind of shadow crossed over her green eyes. She wasn't entirely sure what she felt at the moment. But she felt like she was telling a lie.

There, she'd said it. So why didn't he belive her? He eyed he skeptically, but decided to let it go. He looked at the clock - it was getting late, as much as he didn't want to, he would have to leave the club soon. The daylight wouldn't bother her, but it would kill him. He sighed, the night was always too short, the days always too long....
'One more thing, because I fear after tonight, things will be different." he paused studying her, "You are not the only one with murdered parents." he said looking straight into her eyes. He left it at that, he'd ever told her that, mainly because he'd never had an opportunity, such was their past. And before now there hadn't really been any reason to bring it up. He really didn't even know why he had mentioned it now....other than that she needed to know, needed to know she was not alone, that he shared even this with her, and because of this - he knew he understood her better than most.

Her gaze followed his to the clock, and she sighed, knowing he was going to have to leave soon. Tonight was so strange, why was she feeling this way about him? Why did she feel like she didn't want him to leave? She knew that he had to, but for some reason, it left her feeling bereft, as if he was abandoning her somehow. Which was rediculous, for one, he couldn't abandon her if she meant nothing to him, and him to her, but she knew that wasn't true. She may be able to lie to him, but she couldn't lie to herself. She knew she was feeling emotions for Tarus, not that she'd ever admit it, of course.
She stared back at him, slightly shocked that he'd revealed the fact that he also had his parents taken from him too. Perhaps they were more alike than she thought. "I can't say how after this will be different, Tarus....But it will definately never be as it was before." She said, ducking her head slightly as she came to as close to a concession that she had feelings for him that she was only now willing to acknowledge, though only to herself, as she was going to get.

He watched her every movement, caught every influx and intonation of her voice - savoring it. Knowing not when he would see her again. He smiled at her, knowing that behind those green eyes, she knew what he had known all along - He was in love with her, and she was close to, if not already, feeling the same way about him. But, she needed her time to process, her denial, her pride - and so he let it go at that. Things were already different, they would never go backwards.
He chuckled slightly, "I'm not entirely sure that is a bad thing. If things are never as they once were....maybe that means I will live after all." he said teasingly. Before sighing, "I'm glad to have "ruined" your night - selfish of me, I know, but you made this night worth living. I'm sorry I have to leave you - but the sun is nearby, and if you want the pleasure of killing me yourself, this vampire needs to save his skin from roasting."
He steppedn back from her, but never moving his eyes from hers. "57 E. Walnut" he said, "Just in case...." he trailed off, then bowed his head slightly and turned to leave.

She laughed quietly, tilting her head to one side. "I wouldn't count on that meaning that you get to live, I still haven't decided on that yet. Yes go, chop chop, can't have you frying on me, that wouldn't be any fun!" She said, clappng her hands together and shooing him out the door. Before he could leave, however, something he said caught her attention. "In case what?" She asked, tilting her head to one side confused.

He turned back to the sound of her voice, "Just...in case." he shrugged. He couldn't elaborate, couldn't say what he was really thinking. Worst case scenario -In case your pack finds out and you need to hide he thought, Best case scenario - in case you want to find me. He tried to apologize for his lack of explanation with his eyes as he shrugged slightly and smiled meekly. He would wait for her, no matter what the outcome - he'd wait, if only to have just 10 minutes with her again. Something about her appealed to his senses, and he felt connected to her in a way he had never felt connected to anyone else. Perhaps it was the abundance of things they had in common.....but regardless, he knew he would wait. After all, he was a vampire - he had all the time in the world.
