Massimo stood outside an old building, most of the windows where broken and it seemed to be falling apart. But still Max stood there with his black pants and white tee with his Armani Collezioni Velvet Jacket. He checked his watch again for the 100th time that night, and looked up and down the street, and saw one lone person coming toward him. Or at least thats the way it seemed. The man came up and walked past Massimo and into the building. Massimo smiled, this was around the time when everyone came out to his little underground casino. It had everything that a real casino had, this one just was illegal.
It was when he was about to go inside himself when he felt a vampire close by, and then he saw the female. She seemed young. It was perfect.
Still smiling, he stood there and waited for her to get closer before saying anything, and he was already thinking of what he would tell her. Of what he would say to get money from her.
He reached up with his left and ran his fingers through his hair. This was going to be a great night, he could tell already. Then again, every night was a great night for Massimo.

Colbie walked under the street lights her head bobbing, brown hair with bright pink streaks flaired out as she danced to the catchy song on her MP3 player clipped onto her tight black pants. Her black shirt had bold bright pink stripes running horizontal. Her black converse shoes hit the concrete as she danced slightly while moving forward.
She had been bored being stuck in her apartment, and had decided to wander NYC. Change jingled in her pockets while she bobbed. Her mind drifted to what she had to do tomorrow, cleaning her apartment was a must, working at the paranormal book store, and then... something. She wasn't so great at planning ahead.
The cool air swirled around her producing goosebumps on her skin. She shivered slightly, as she stopped dancing looking up she could scaracly see the pale moon, stars were hidden by the bright city lights. She frowned, this was the only time she missed the country.
She noticed a man up the street and tilted her head slightly, was he looking at her? Had he seen her dance? She became a bit self-concious as she took of her MP3 player and shoved it in her pocket. She walked foward toward him, as he was in the direction she was walking, she wasn't going to avoid him.
She nervously grabbed her bulky beaded necklaces and chains around her necks and fiddled with them.

Massimo took a step forward, getting to her quicker, and he noticed the goosebumps on her skin. He took a moment to look her over, and her brown and pink hair. She was, of course beautiful, as most vampiress were. And it was clear she was young due to the way she was dancing down the street like that.
"Well hello, Miss, how are you tonight?" He asked, his voice light and friendly. Now it was time to see what she was like. If she would be easily fooled as she looked. He could only hope she was.
Although Max had more then enough time, if he couldn't get the money he wanted tonight there was always tomorrow. If there was one thing Massimo loved more then money, it was a challenge. He could ask her if she wanted inside, after all it was warm there even though it was underground.
He waited for her reaction and reply to tell him name, it was some what rude but he couldn't really care. He wasn't making money being polite all the time. As the humans said 'Good guys finished last.'
It was a good saying, and he used to always live by it, though not so much now as before. You could say he just grew out of it.

Colbie looked behind her, expecting a woman dressed up in the same formal fashion as the man in front of her to respond. Then she realized he actually was talking to her. "I'm okay thanks."
It was in Colbie's experience that people in NYC didn't talk to you unless they wanted something. Her mind thought of Lars and Shaden a few of the Vampires she had meet, they hadn't wanted anything... well Lars had wanted her blood she guessed, Shaden wanted a party. She frowned, finding her assumption to be correct so far.
She offered a smile, there was no point in being rude. Colbie always gave people the benifit of the doubt. "How about yourself, it is a beautiful night."

Massimo smiled sweetly "Well thats good to hear." He said, sounding and looking as if he really meant it. He watched her closely and saw the suspicion in her face. He would might have to be a bit sweeter if he was going to win her over. "I'm doing very well, thank you."
"My names Massimo but you may call me Max." He said holding his hand out to her, "And what might your name?" He asked putting on his most Innocent smile and being polite. It wasn't so hard as he remembered but inside he was just laughing. It wasn't very often he needed to be polite to get something. Normally whatever he wanted his money could buy, but in this case he couldn't buy her money. That didn't make any sense.
His dark brown eyes left hers for a moment as he looked up at the sky and the half hidden moon and stars. A few strands of his black hair moved in front of his face and he pushed them back into place.

Colbie placed her hand in his, "I'm Colbie Mastriani, nice to meet you." Colbie pushed away her doubts, he seemed to be a nice enough person. Very polite. She smiled genuinely letting her hand fall to the side once more.
"So Max, what are you doing on a street like this, dressed up like that?" She questioned with a smirk, it wasn't often a man all dressed up talked to a girl all dressed down. It took her till now to notice his scent. A fellow Vampire! I hope I get quicker at picking supernatural beings out she thought, one of these days she'd be chatting up a werewolf that wanted to rip her face off.
The wind whiped cool night air past, her hair caught up in it, a fury of caramels and pinks she grinned childishly as she tried to tuck it back into place.

"Its a pleasure to meet you as well Colbie." He said putting his hand back at his side, and smiled back at her as he saw the doubt leave her face. So far things were going very well. He looked down at his watch, then back at her. It wasn't to be rude, it was just a habit of a business man. Most night Max lived his life by his watch, other night he hardly glanced at it. However tonight was not one of those nights.
He looked down at himself "Dressed up?" He questioned and then it hit him that she had never met him before now and so didn't realize that he dressed like this, or sometimes even better, every night "I have my own business you see, so I must look my best. plus between you and me, I rather enjoy dressing like this." He said, his voice soothing like silk.
As the wind blew, he placed a hand on his jacket to keep in place but then noticed Coblie's hair and took a small step closer, reached his other hand out to help put it back in place. His eyes kept looking down at her smile, she was rather cute. He might even regret taking her money.

Colbie grinned widely, "your own business, shiny." She thought of the small shop she worked in, dark heavy blinds to keep the sun out, dusty and unaired it was a cramped little spot, though it oddly suited her perfectly.
She rocked on her feet out of habit, she wasn't someone who could stay too still too long. Sometimes even walking became too normal, which usually led her to be dancing in the streets much like tonight.
"So what is this business?" She questioned curiosity sky rocketing as it always did. She never could just keep quiet or leave a mystery just that.

Massimo grinned back "Yea it took awhile to put together but I finally did." He said turning around to glace at the broken down building behind him. The best part is, is that the casino is so far underground not even a vampire could hear it up here. So he hardly ever got unwanted company.
He looked at her curiously as she rocked back on her feet, and he smiled softly at her question "Can you keep a secret?" he asked in a somewhat playful tone, "Because you see this business of mine is illegal. So you see it must remain quiet." He said as he stepped beside of her, "Would you like to go see?" He added, nodding his head toward the building. He was hoping by not saying what the business was, it might raise her curiosity even more, and there for agree to go inside to have a look around.

"A secret!" Colbie grinned, secrets and mysteries she could hardly contain herself. When Max nodded toward the run down building, she had thought he was joking and she narrowed her eyes. A creepy building, that was his secret business?!
"It doesn't look like much," Colbie was honest to a fault, she nearly expected the building to collapse in front of them and Max to say 'HA FOOLED YOU' Neither happened.
"Illegal?" The hairs prickled at the back of her neck, what was in there a drug house? "I'm not so sure that sounds like a good idea," she took a step back, she was now a little scared of the building, and what might be inside. "No offense or anything," her curiosity was peaked sure but what kind of trouble could she get into. She didn't want to be caught in something like this and spend eternity in jail.

Massimo stayed smiling even though it was a slight set back when Colbie took a step back but he didn't follow her "Well the business is underground, the building just hides the door. And its nothing too bad. Its a casino. I always did have a gambling problem, thats how I became a vampire." He said softly, trying to sooth her because she was looking just a little scared. However now he would have to have someone keep an eye on her to make sure she didn't go around telling the wrong people about it. If she did... well, lets just say the world would miss her when she was gone. It wouldn't be hard at all to get rid of her.
"I can a sure you, no harm will come to you. Its perfectly safe, in fact half the people down there right now are humans. So unless your scared of them, theres really nothing to fear. You have my word as a gentlemen." He held his hand out to her, whether she would take it or not he wasn't sure.

Colbie really had no reason to trust him, but she had never been a distrustful person. She'd put her faith in anyone, and defend what she believed in. She took his hand.
She wondered of the conciquences of such a simple action. A casino? She was interested in what it would look like, the sounds, the people, the energy. It made her curious to say the least. The hair on the back of her neck stood in anticipation. He did give off the gentalman-ly vibe, though she knew there was a high chance it was simply business. If so, joke was on him, spending all this time convincing her to go to this casino, she had a dollar fifty in her pocket, a button and some lint.

Massimo held her hand lightly as he led her to the building, he held the door for her as she entered and then followed inside. Once more taking her hand. His eyes were fixed on a slightly hidden door on the floor, he let go of Colbie's hand to lift the heavy metal door. Once it was open you could see a long line of stairs and then a hallway leading off to the left at the bottom. There lights every ten feet maybe. "Believe me, I know this doesn't look like much but I promise you once you see the casino, you'll be surprised."
The way down took a few minutes and even with the lights, it was pretty dark. Though once they were in the hallway it became a little brighter. "So tell me, Colbie where do you live? And where do you work?" He asked lightly as they walked. Massimo was never one to stay silent for long. By now they could see a wooden door at the end of the hall, and here people talking from the other side.

"I live about a half hour walk from Central Park here in New York," Colbie answered, if she were be asked to give specifics she wouldn't be able to, she was horrible with street names. Possibly the worst person ever with them. She kept pace with Max her hand staying in his most of the time, her eyes typically didn't stay in front of her since she was looking around at everything, looking for something that looked remotely like a casino.
"I live in an apartment above the paranormal shop I work at" Colbie said a blush warming her cold cheeks, most people looked at her weird when she said that, and a business man would probably look at her like she was from Mars or something.
She was glad that it got brighter in the hallway, she could hear excited voices coming from behind a door. She smiled wondering what could be behind the doors.

"Oh so you live in New York then," He said looked over at her, "Thats a nice area, although most werewolves hang around there due to the park and such." He shrugged, he had a slight problem with werewolves, and had been in more then one fight with them but for business he put on a smile and allowed them to enter his casino. Even though he'd much rather be ripping them to pieces.
When Colbie said where she worked, he tilted his head slightly looking at her oddly, waiting to hear if she was joking. When it became clear she wasn't he chuckled softly. Not trying to be rude, but the very idea of a vampire working at a shop like that was highly amusing to him. "Well thats a new one to me." He said, calming himself back down, "So how much does that job pay?" He asked innocently enough, looking at the door.
Now they were stopped outside the door, and the voice were more clear and loud. He smiled at her before pushing the door open and leading her inside. The room was large, not very tell in height but, very great when it came to width. There was red carpet on the floor, and lights on the ceiling as well as along the walls. There was a small area in the corner to their left where a bar was for those who wanted a few drinks or just relax. Around the room where tables for poker, blackjack, just about every game you could think about. In fact if it weren't for the fact the walls were stone, people might even forget they were underground. Massimo slowly turned to look at Colbie "So what do you think?" He asked with a small smile, "It took forever and cost... well it cost a lot of money."
