In The Casino sevanni.and.little This thread is intended for Little and Sevanni. However, I have set it to limited because there will be an invitation later on in the sl. Enjoy. Oh and uh, surprise The casino was crowded with mortals. Sevanni wasn't fond of mortals. Only privy to their blood. He was aroused by the sense of it around him. It wasn't a sexual arousal. No. He hadn't had that since he was turned. No, it was more of a 'I want to eat them all and bathe in their blood' sort of arousal. He had been sitting at the poker table for three hours. It was down to him and a local celebrity. He didn't draw much attention. No it was a private game. He had some tricks up his hand and it brought him thus far. It came down to either a flush with a king high, or a full house on the river. He was a river rat of course. Believing that his card would come up. No matter how much he put in the pot. Phil moved all in. He must have had some really good cards with a board like this one. Sevanni didn't even think about it. His hand pushed all his chips in, calling his all in raise. The dealer tapped the board. Phil and Sevanni looked at each other hoping to beat the other. The dealer layed the card up, and it was a heart throbbing event. He could feel Phil's heart stop beating for more than it should have. Sevanni grinned, stood up, buttoned his jacket and smiled with his arm extended. Phil reluctantly shook his hand. "Good game." That's what they usually say at the end. Sevanni replied back with the same, then turned to take his leave. His account will be nice and full by the time he leaves here. Reaching the front desk, the clerk made herself known. "Mr. Monroe!" Aah, the alias'. He always used them in these kinds of places. It was going to get dark soon and he had been expecting a message. Sevanni turned to face her. "Mr. Monroe. A woman called. She said she is happy to accept." She had a confused face, as though he would know who it was but she wasn't sure. She hadn't gotten a name. Sevanni grinned happily. She was coming, and he couldn't wait. Returning to his room, he removed his tie, hung it on the back of the bathroom door. He gave it to them. They sure did have taste when it came to their rooms. Whistling from the happy joy of winning the game, and now the mention of an accepted get together. He changed his shirt. A dark blue button up. The top button was undone, no tie was replaced, and his pants were now black with faded gray pinstripes. Black shoes were all he could really gather, so he slipped them on. "Room service." He said to himself. He wondered what sort of things she liked to drink. Perhaps something different. He made a call. Hanging up, he entered the living quarters of the suite. Greatful it wasn't just some dumb room that everyone else was using. No. This was an actual suite. He had everything he could ever need. Including the kitchen sink. Sevanni looked at the clock. His eyes swaying away and returning his attention to the windows. It was going to be daylight in a few hours. The curtains just had to be shut. He adjusted them so they were closed. Hiding the light from outside. He edged his fingers in a small black leather bag. Pulling out some fabric with straps and pins. He always remembered to travel with dark velvet curtains and tie downs. He couldn't risk any exposure to the sunlight.

Litte was around the casino. She swallowed slightly and shoved her hands into her pockets with nervousness. She lanced around at the place slightly and watched the mortals who were unaware that there was a vampire in their mist.
But she hadnt come here because of the humans. No. Not even close. She had long ago given uo hunting human blood. It was very tempting at times but she wouldnt upset James. She couldnt do that.
She was here because she had been summoned here. By a vampire she didnt know. She was intrigued on why he wanted to meet with her and so she had accepted to meet him here and at a room. She was nervous of course but she would store that away.
As she walked down the isles of humans gambling she could faintly smell a scent of vampire. Was that him? She wasnt sure and so she just followed directions she had been given. It wouldnt be hard to find the room after all.
In fact she was standing outside the door before she even knew it. How had it only taken a few moments. But she shook her head and then took a deep breath. What ever he wanted with her she would find out. She knocked gently on the door.

Sevanni's eyes lifted to the door as he heard a knock. Must be her. Room service was already there adn gone. It was her was all that could enter his mind. She seemed a little early. Sevanni placed his hands on his knees and pushed himself up from the couch. His form pressing slightly to the carpet as he walked.
His hand took hold of the door handle, twisting it and pulling it towards him. A soft smile grazed across his lips as he saw her standing there.
"Aah. So glad you could make it."
He stepped aside to let her in. The door widening slightly. She looked very nice. Always adorable, he admitted that.
"How wonderful it is to finally meet you. I see you found me alright?"
He knew it was quite a distance, New York was so damn huge. He was thinking outside the box. But they had much to discuss.
"Please." He began while walking into the living area. "Have a seat." He finished. He would first wait for her to sit, before he himself did so.

Litte's nerves had been sky rocketing as she stood there and waited for the host to answer. She had no clue who he was but he obviously knew her. And he wanted to talk with her. So she came even though she was so very scared. Never before had another vampire called to see her.
Then he opened the door and she pushed those fears aside. When you visited someone you had to be friendly. Thats what her mother had always told her and she had kept her mothers old ways. It just made things easier anyway. And as he smiled she didnt sense anything dangerous. So she walked in.
She glanced around the room and her cheek turned a little red. She was dressed so casually and here she was with company that could easily pass off for being rich. Where he had nice clothes on she had dark blue jeans that were ripped at the knees and a pale pink tank top on. She felt underdressed.
When he offered her to sit she nodded and took a seat down on the sofa that was there. She then glanced up at him. She knew she was early. "Im sorry im so early. I had nothing better to do and so I just foud my way here. Wasnt so hard." She said with a slight shrug. She then added, "And sorry for the way im dressed. I should have dressed better to come and meet someone."

Sevanni watched as she glanced around the room. He liked that she had blushed. When she finally sat, he had already been walking towards a large shelving unit. He had turned when she spoke, her voice so warm.
"Well. I don't mind that your early. I was not busy."
He smiled handsomely. Looking at her from a far made him grin, but so close, he couldn't resist it.
"Your attire is fine. I like casual, grunge...." He made a confused face. "The mortals call it.....preppy?"
He laughed and shrugged. "Care for a drink?" He asked, already pouring a small glass of bourbon. There were all kinds of liquids. Alcoholic, non alcoholic, juices. Even a small espresso machine that made coffee. He was quite amazed by what the hotel had to offer.

Litte looked at him as he commented on what she had said. She blushed even redder and she chuckled slightly. "Yeah. I think thats right. I was never one for fashion though." She shrugged. She didnt even own a dress now that she thought about it. She would have had to buy fancy new clothes if she had wanted to dress nicely for this meeting. So she just looked at him with curiosity in her eyes.
She still wondered why he had brought her here. He obviously knew her from somewhere if he was able to call on her at all. But she could swear she didnt know anything about him. Not one single thing. And that made ther nerves come back. But she hid those well behind a curtain of confidence. She was known for being sarcastic when she had the opportunity.
She didnt want to be rude here though. He'd been nothing but friendly to her. So she could be friendly back. It was the right manners anyhow. She smiled at him as he offered her a drink. She could smell the alcohol and she remembered the one time her mother had let her have a sip. It had been a while ago. "Sure. Why not? And whatever works. Im not picky." She said with a slight shrug of her shoulders.

Sevanni smiled softly. Not picky? Not bad.
Walking over to her, he leaned lower a little as his height overpowered her while she sat. Handing her a glass of wine. "A pink blush wine to match those cheeks." He said in a normal tone. He wasn't trying to romance her. Not by far. He was polite with women when they showed their respect.
"I am sure you are quite curious as to why I asked you to meet me."
It was a statement, but more of a question too. He hadn't known if she knew him. She hadn't known that he had watched her. He wasn't a stalker. Oh never that. But someone who was often in the strangest places at the strangest times.
He cleared his throat before taking a strong sip and placing it down on the glass table in front of the couch. He sat firm. Straight as an arrow. His posture was very important to him.
"I understand that you have made the decision to....." He couldn't quite find the words. "How do I put this?" He thought for a moment, letting his eyes float to hers.
"You have decided to not really embrace who you are. In here."
He pointed at his chest. Not where his heart was, but more centered. He motioned towards himself, meaning her very own self. It was things like this that he didn't like to see. He was older, wiser. He knew better than the young ones.

Litte kept her gaze on him the whole time. She didnt want to be distracted. It wasnt that she didnt trust him. It was just her natural nerves. She was always paranoid and took double glances behind her when she walked alone. It was a dangerous world and she knew that life could be snatched from you in an instant.
She smiled though when he handed her the wine and commented about her blushing. She really need to stop doing that. It had been out of control ever since that one day with James. It was almost like she was mortal herself. When the truth was that she was far from it.
She shook her head though and said, "I need to get a hold of that. My stupid blushing does nothing but embarrass me." She muttered and then he caught her full attention as he got to the point of the visit. Why he had called her here. She took a sip of the wine as he explained.
When he was done she was holding the glass tightly in her small hand and was a little paler then normal color for a vampire. He knew about her diet. How could he know? And then the thought struck her. He had been watching her. She was sure of it. Did that mean he knew about James? She wasnt sure and so she kept away from that topic.
She took another sip of the wine and then sighed defeated. "Oh. You mean my new diet?" She said to him gently and looked at him in the eyes. She hoped her eyes didnt give anything away that she wanted to keep hidden.

He smiled kindly. "I like it." Referring to her blushing comment. He had to stop looking at her. Once she spoke up after his statement, his face became a bit torn. A frown emerged, but it wasn't a violent one. She was lucky.
"Diet you say?" He chuckled once with a quizzical 'huh'. He sat back comfortably while exhaling hard. Blowing out the wind within him.
"I sit home night after night." He began while looking down at the glass of half empty bourbon. His eyes came up to reach hers while finishing.
"I ask myself....how many of us are there out in this world? I get no answer."
He straightened himself up again, sitting on the edge of the couch while shifting his weight.
"Do you know why there is no answer?"
It wasn't a question for her to answer. He had intercepted before she could announce one syllable.
"Because we continue to create new ones. We feed on mortals daily to survive. When we are fond of another, we turn them whilst still feeding. It is our way."
His voice had softened intensely. Almost as if it were a growling whisper. It was soft and sensual. His eyes were smaller than normal as he was so in depth of his meaning behind it all. But then he snapped out towards her in a much sterner tone. Making sure she hadn't been so indulged by his way of speaking.
"Why do you not feed as we all do?"
he leaned back looking for her answer.

Litte was holding on to the glass so tight she was amazed it didnt snap and shatter in her hands. Her kncukles were so white. She was afraid and yet intrigued. So he was interested in her way of living and hunting. Not that many people would interested in her sudden change.
She had been like all the other vampires out there. Drinking human blood because it tasted so very sweet and a vampire couldnt resist a sweet temptation. Not even a young girl like her. So she could understand that when she went to animals...questions would come up.
She was just glad it was him and not someone scarier. She knew she could be in tighter spot and fear for her life because of her choice of things. So out of respect she listened to him talk on. About how they changed humans and how they continued to grow. She knew it was all true.
Hell, she herself had changed two people. One she had no more contact with but the other was rather close to her and normally followed her places. It had taken a while to persuade Gage to stay away from where she was going. But she had done it. Then he turned his gaze back to her and asked that question. And she didnt know how to answer.
She couldnt give James away. He might be in trouble if she did. So she stuttered and said, "I....."

When her mouth opened to speak, he couldn't help bu t try and help her spit it out. His mouth was open, copying hers. But it wasn't large and scary. Then he smiled and laughed lightly.
"It's alright. For now; you don't have to answer."
He smiled warmly at her.
"Tell me something."
He was so intruiged about her entire being.
"I understand the thoughts you might have. I am in fact a stranger. So being uncomfortable is natural."
He picked up the glass and finished it off. Letting loose some hot breath from the fiery liquid. he set the glass in the air level with his head as he looked at it closely.
"See we are like this glass here." He looked at her now. His eyes fixed on hers. "Empty. Not many emotions like mortals have. In order to feel a little bit whole, we need to be filled."
He stood now, his hands grazing through her fingers as he took the glass gently from her hand, he would refill it. But it was her choice to drink it. Making his way to refill the glasses. He turned back to her, his arm extended to place the glass down in front of her on the table. He noticed her grip earlier, and didn't want to have glass all over the carpet.
"So. in all honesty. I did say yet." His brows furrowed whimsically. "Why do you not feed on mortals?" He sat back into the couch once more. His reminder being sent out to her. "And please; do not lie."

Litte could tell that he was very interested in her answer. He tried to help her get it out but she just wasnt able to. So when he said she didnt have to answer right away she relaxed and her gaze softened a little. Maybe she had nothing to fear after all.
She also watched as he downed the last of his drink and showed her the empty glass. She didnt know what he had intened to do with it until he went on about emotions in vampires. She instantly froze again. She could see how he looked at her intently.
Was this about her emotions? She knew it was odd. But she had a lot of emotions to her. It was like she was mortal. They could pour out of her so quickly and easily like water running down a hill. But she kept her face blank. This wasnt about that. She told herself. He didnt know. She kept repeating that in her head.
She swallowed slightly as he took her glass and put it in front of her. And then he wanted her to answer his question and not lie. And she tried to think of a way out of this. How could she tell him the truth and then yet hide it from him. She still wasnt sure if he knew anything about James.
Then the idea struck her. It was all the truth but still kept her true notions hidden. And it was an answer to his question so he couldnt complain. She ran her fingers through her hair and said, "I promise a friend I wouldnt..."

His face went to a complete stifle. He didn't quite know how to respond to this. He was completely beside himself that she would answer him in such a way. He decided to show her something. He leaned up and stood before reaching his hand out and gently grasping hers within it.
"I want to show you something."
She had nothing to fear from him. He felt as though she were a soft petal on a rose that shouldn't be torn from it's place. She was respectful and kind, but too soft if she knew what was good for her.
Sevanni led her to the window. His hands pulling the drapes apart so the night's sky was in full view. He smiled. Pulling her gently towards the window. He stood slightly beside her and slightly behind her. His hands placed on her shoulders.
"The moon is full."
He said softly behind her.
"When it falls, we can not walk. When it rises, in any stage, the darkness let's us rise and walk amung many. "
He let out a breath before continuing on. The last part was a bit more harsh as he was completely disgusted by the idea.
"What makes you think that while you are sleeping, there isn't someone who will take your life away? Perhaps someone you think you know. But don't."
He cared about her because she was one of his kind. He cared about her because she was mousy and beautiful. He backed away slightly before she felt threatened. He wasn't too far behind, just mere inches away. He removed his hands from her shoulders.

Litte was wondering if he would accept her answer to his question when he stood up. She was tense and ready to bolt at any given time. Not that she figured she could get away. But she could try right? But when he took her hand gently her doubts somewhat vanished. He seemed worried. Was it about her?
Then he pulled her to the window and stood behind her with his hands on her shoulders. She could barely see his outline of his profile in the glass as she gazed at the moon that he had mentioned. That moon controled everything. She knew that, he knew that, and even werewolves knew that. It controled both species.
So his statement didnt surprise her. Of course when the sun was dominant they couldnt be out. It was suicide if you tried. But once the moon rose and made it dark, the night belonged to the creatures. Belonged to them. But his statement about someone killing her, floored her.
She blinked in surprise firstly to his more hostile tone. Was it towards her? She doubted it but you couldnt tell and secondly, she hadnt thought about that. But surely James wouldnt do that. Surely he wouldnt kill her. Would he? She didnt know how to answer that. But she felt like she knew the answer and when he back away a little. She looked at him in the glass. "I dont know....I take my life by faith and chance."

Sevanni smirked in fustration. He could tell she was still so young in her vampire years. It was painful to even know that there was no one out there with strong guidance.
"There is no such thing as faith and chance in this world anymore Little."
He turned from her, heading over towards the living area.
"Vampires have no faith. If there were faith, perhaps God himself wouldn't have let even our kind become what we are. Nor they!"
He shouted the last part referring to the wolves. She knew he knew better, and he the same. His aggitation wore off. He didn't want her to be afraid of him. He simply wanted her to see the bigger picture.
"Look. I know you must think I have no right in talking to you like this."
He withdrew a deep breath, picking his drink up and placing it back down after a soft sip.
"I don't blame you. You barely know me, I barely know you."
His calm composure seeping out once more. Thinking about those mutts would have given him a heart attack from stress had he been alive.
"You don't feed from mortals. You call it a diet."
He furrowed his brows and stepped closer towards her. His hands embracing her shoulders. Trying to get her to wake up from that fantasy world.
"You are letting yourself slip into something.....you have no business meddling with."
He went sullen for a moment. His hands releasing it's hold on her shoulders.
"But, if your going to stand here; tell me everything's okay. Then I have no choice but to believe you."
He leaned against the wall next to the window as he watched her looking out. His voice so calm and soft.
"It is unnatural......for such a young vampire to let her undead life be wasted away with what your doing. It's an abomination against our kind."
He said the last part with absolute disgust. Thinking about it made him entirely angry. He only wanted her to see. She needed to open her eyes.
"I wonder......How would you feel, if you could see for yourself?"
