Michael looked at Sevanni. The man didn't like Michael at all. Why was he so hated so quickly. All he did was speak with his fellow vampires. They were no better than him, he could see the way the likes of Chloe and Sevanni looked down on him. Michael wasn't one to take things like that. If a girl like Chloe would fly off the handle just because of a simple comment, that was her failing not his. Shaden was being the same way. The only person here who seemed to be laid back and cool in the situation was Kaden, he didn't like that guy though, not at all.
Sevanni showed a shady side, when he asked Michael to explain to Xavier on the spot his story. "Why go into detail? The only thing that matters is what I am doing now. He jumped up onto the bar landing in a sitting motion. He got himself a glass and poured himself a glass of Jack Daniels. He took a small snip before continuing on "I'd like to join your coven. You have a reputation you see. Especially you my friend" He said looking at Xavier. "I understand that some of you may think of me as an arrogant kid but I have learned a lot over the past 208 years and I think I'll make a great addition to the coven. That is your decision though Xavier" He then shot Aubrey a look, there was no ill thoughts in his mind. He looked her in the eye, he didn't speak a word, but he was saying I'm sorry for calling her a servant.
Michael once again drank from his glass, this time taking in a lot more of the stuff. He could only wait for Xavier' response now. He spoke straight and one on one with Xavier. How he reacted was a mystery to him right now, as it probably was for the rest of the coven.

Blake had just been passing by outside, when he glanced into the bar. He sensed Aubrey. And there she was - with a whole group of vampires. This must have been her coven. They all seemed to be there; gathered for one reason or another. He wondered why.
Perhaps, he thought, It is high time to make myself known. Blake didn't particularly want to be found-out, but the so-called Xavier probably knew already. He sighed. If he didn't introduce himself now, he never would.
But why a bar? Blake didn't like bars. He didn't like alcohol. But that was out of his control.
Blake opened the door to the bar and walked in. The presence of the other vampires was overwhelming, but he didn't mind. He didn't really care. Blake was either very indifferent, or very hateful. Never angry.
He strode past the rest of them, scanning each of their faces and calculating what the relationship with the others were. Some had deep connections, others were barely present. He found Aubrey's face in the crowd and nodded to her.
Blake stood at the back corner of the room, folded his arms across his chest, and leaned against the wall. He wasn't going to be the first to speak of his presence. He would rather they didn't care that he was there. He knew it wouldn't be so.

Xavier looked at Micheal as he approached him. What a laugh, Xavier had been working, so hard and so long for all of this time, he wished to come home in London with peace, a nice night with his children sharing drinks..and here was another vampire popping up to ask him to join. It almost seemed as if the endless void of power never ended. He grabbed a glass, his glistening sharp black nails wrapping around the crystal like glass that created it and motioned over to the bar, not saying a word and poured himself a small glass of Whiskey, His favorite.
So..let me get this straight. You just walk in here, and ask to join?
Xavier took the shots and forced it down his through, tilting his lips up from the bitterness of the drink. He wrapped his tounge around his fang and looked at Micheal, shifting his weight onto one fit in a more comfortable position.
Ontop of that, another vampire just waltzed his way into the bar, no invitation, no sign of respect. Xavier should have blown his face in as soon as he stepped in the door. A sigh escaped his lips, bad enough Shaden was here and was in the Coven, even worse that No-Names were just making themselves comfortable in The Covens presence.

Chloe smiled as Xavier walked around. She was glad he'd finally come. Her smile only widened when Michael introduced himself. He was such a suck up. Sure, be rude and arrogant to everyone else but then once Xavier comes; he's respectful. Pathetic. And things just got better when she heard Xavier's comment back to him. Yes. If anyone could put that little punk in his place it was Xavier. And Chloe would only be too happy to help.
Chloe then noticed the other vampire that decided to just come in. He didn't even say anything. And neither did Xavier. She watched the new vampire carefully. She would have done something about him, but Xavier was there and he could take care of it. There really was no need to for her to say or do anything for the moment. But still, just because she didn't have to say something doesn't mean she wasn't going to, "Some people have so little respect for the Coven." She said hardly raising her voice. It was an open statement, but she was looking at Blake.
She sat calmly, waiting for this to get over with and watching everyone. She wanted to go hunting again. She was getting thirsty.

Aubrey smiled and leaned in closer to Sevanni. "Don't worry. i didn't plan on making a habit of it." She laughed softly and sighed as the introduction unfolded. Xavier was making a bigger deal of this than it really was. Did she really expect anything different.
A new wave of discomfort settled in when Blake entered. It made Aubrey grin. Aubrey did shoot Chloe a warning glare. It wasn't too harsh, but if her statement was directed at Blake then she needed to watch her mouth. She eased back from behind the bar and walked over to Blake.
Anything Xavier had to say about Michael was of no concern. She liked him, he had spirit. But she had warned him not to expect a friendly visit. he would have to make his own way from here, she initiated the visit, that's all she could do at the moment. lake was a different story all together.
Blake was hers. He was her fledgling and anywhere she was he was welcome, as long as he didn't smart off and was respectful of everyone. She was rather proud of her fair little childe. She didn't interrupt Xavier to introduce Blake. She simply leaned against the wall with him, nudging him playfully with her shoulder.
She had only turned Blake into a vampire, she hadn't injected him with the poison. No one here should have a problem with Blake's presence, and if they did, they could take it up with her.

Things were not quite right, that was evident. Xavier didn't seem pleased to Michael. I guess this is why Aubrey was hesitant about bringing Michael to meet the man. He was invited here though, he didn't just walk right in the door with no warning. A few nervous feeling made their way to the surface but Michael kept a cool face, remaining calm and collected. Michael looked around the room, taking note of Chloe. She was obviously enjoying this. What a bitch, he thought to himself. He didn't like her at all, he found nothing interesting about her behavior, just pure hatred.
"I didn't just walk in here. I did make a request to be here, but I was invited. By Aubrey" He said pointing in her direction. She was probably the only person there who didn't want to see Michael get torn to shreds.
Well I guess his past is relevant right now. Would his story interest Xavier? Probably not. Would it impress him? It wasn't really impressive. Michael was a fighter though and he could be an asset.
Then an unknown vampire came in. A young one, been a vampire for a few days probably, so he he couldn't be a part of the coven. He hoped that he wasn't here to join as well, it looked like Michael would have enough trouble here as it is. Aubrey seemed to know the boy. You would think that all the vampires around here were related.
Michael looked back to Xavier and jumped off the bar. He could see why Xavier would take such an act as disrespect. "I apologize, I really mean no disrespect. I'm new in town you see" Would Xavier care? Hopefully he would. He stood at a respectful distance from Xavier "My name is Michael. I have been a vampire for 208 years. I am a trained vampire. I have a deep hatred of those damn wolves, and I have killed a good few of them over the years. I want to join your coven because I want to be a part of this family. I am willing to do anything to join" Michael had more to say but he didn't want to keep going on. He didn't know if Xavier wanted him to go on or he wanted to rip his throat out.

Sevanni grinned to Aubreys words. He knew she knew better, and the respect was mostly appreciated. He wanted to kiss her on the forhead in a thank you, but he was professional, and she didn't belong to him. He simply nodded.
Xavier on the other hand had been in quite a shift change of emotion when he spotted someone who shouldn't have been in here. Sevanni quickly noted his look, then turned his head to see the stranger.
"Do you know him?"
He asked Aubrey lowly. He needed to know if he should be on guard. He was on guard always, but when he was surrounded by his own kind within the coven, he was more at ease.

Aubrey nodded to Sevanni and linked her arm in Blake's. "Blake is of my making. He meant no harm or disrespect, he obviously just caught my scent and followed it." She smiled at Sevanni. "Would you like for me to ask him to leave?"
Her mood had just been lifted, she wasn't enthused about letting her calm seep away from her. Blake wasn't hurting anyone by being present. She could always ask him to leave and meet up with him after. She beamed at Blake. Xavier and Sevanni might have been interested to know that Aubrey had sired a little vicious trouble maker.
He had never shown interest or asked about her coven, but if he did want to join she would request it with him. lake might have been young, but he could match any of them with sadistic qualities.

"Now, now. If it pleases you to have him stay, by all means."
He sipped his drink before releasing a breath.
"Besides, I think Xavier's the one who would be better of giving you that option. He is the leader after all."
He gave her a short smile and sipped his drink again. He didn't really say anything to the new guy, instead, he simply looked off ways a bit to gather what was keeping everything from moving along. He really hated meetings that carried on the whole night. He had to get the hell outta here.

Xavier, pouring another shot, eyed Micheal. Easily, he could have his body decorating the room in several pieces within moments, but there was something about him that he respected. If micheal was strong enough to come into the same room of the coven that he has heard so many horrid stories about, he was a man to be respected.
One of you please do the fine task for me in explaining out coven in a little more...detail to our new applicant.
A smile crept onto his face, he had no idea, he had no idea the pain and training that everyone in this room with the exception of 1 had to go through, he had no idea of the torment and emotional breaking that had been caused throughout the room. Xavier's eyes then skipped over toward Blake. Aubrey and him had a connection, one he cared little for. It didn't matter what Aubrey had, however he would not allow another Shaden scenario to unfold infront of his eyes while he sat back and smiled.
And, if my little friend here? Doesn't have any business with us..please escort him out of the room..i wouldn't want him to see our true nature on such a wonderful night.

Aubrey sighed. She didn't like the way Xavier looked at Blake. Surely he didn't think anything of it. She could have fought about it, she could have pitched a tantrum, showed her ass, and then stormed out. What was the use? Xavier had been pleasant enough so she could play nice. She lead Blake to the door and pulled him out with her.
She brushed the hair from his eyes and smiled. She loved his auburn hair. "Sorry Blake. I don't think you want to see what is about to happen." she kissed his cheek softly. She had been spending too much time running around for the coven and not enough with him. "I'll meet up with you when I leave." She grazed his cheek before turning and walking back into the pub.
She came and stood beside Xavier. She had warned Michael and told him all she could already. She would let someone else chip in their two sense. She gently nudged Xavier. Oh they things she had to tell him. They could wait. She was always waiting for him in some way or another. She took a deep breath and cleared her mind.
Surely you are not worried about the little fortune teller I turned. Don't be irritated that he was here.
The words echoed through her head. She looked up at Shaden and scowled slightly.

Kaden chuckled lightly. You could pretty much tell anything about anyone if you only paid enough attention. You have to watch every move, every slight gesture, every word carried it's own tone. Kaden pulled Chloe closer to him as he whispered in her ear. "We will go any where you want."
Chloe liked to be pampered. Not to be mistaken for being spoiled. She didn't mind not getting her way and she was usually polite and delightful to be with. Still, she liked attention and Kaden had more than enough to focus on her.
His fingers still mindlessly fumbled with her hair. the entire room had changed when Xavier had entered. Aside from Aubrey, Xavier was the most interesting person to study. There was always conflict behind his eyes. he knew that there was a constant struggle between him and Aubrey. Did they love each other? Did they hate each other. Sleeping together sometime embraced as lovers. Ripping each other apart the next day. It was a most interesting conflict.
But there was more than just that one behind Xavier. It was more, internal. Kaden sighed as he studied his leader. He would love to discover what that conflict was. When Blake walked in Kaden's grin faded. He knew that Aubrey had taken a fledgling and not made him Black Nail Coven, but he himself had never met him. Aubrey, Aubrey, Aubrey. He tisked silently in his head. The boy was just that. A boy.
From his position he could she the pair as Aubrey escorted him out of the Pub. He watched their interaction. Aubrey treated him no differently than any other sire would. A sigh of relief huffed form his mouth. She was already torn between Shaden and Xavier. The last thing she needed was to pull a young doe eyed little gypsy boy who was in love with the thought of being immortal into the mix. He wouldn't have stood a chance against the other two.
Kaden stood slowly, taking the cue to explain a little of his knowledge to Michael. For all he knew this in some way could have been a test. He shook his drink, smiling at the ice clinking against the glass. He sipped it while looking at Michael. "Any idiot can have fangs and black nails, however it takes a highly intelligent, highly trained and highly powerful vampire to be a member of The Black Nail Coven."
"The Black Nail Coven is one of the oldest and most renounced Covens in all of history. They are prided on their power. Members of this coven are so powerful. You could take a brand new vampire and make it BNC, and it could be stronger than a 500 year old vampire." Kaden winked at Chloe before continuing. He was beginning circle the room.
"When you are first introduced and brought into the Coven, you are taught of pain and endurance through torture." He looked at Aubrey and was lost for a moment in his memories. There was a memory of her lashing at him with a whip as she made him recite literature. If he screwed up he was beaten and made to start over. he remebered the feeling of his meat being ripped from the bone.
He shuttered, but a slow sick smile took his features. He kept looking at her. The Aubrey that loved Shaden had serious complexes with the things she did. She did them regardless, but she wasn't always happy about it. The Aubrey that trained him, the one that loved Xavier, she was lack Nail Coven through and through. She just didn't want to fall completely in yet. She was fighting a losing battle.
He looked away from her cold eyes and glanced back to Michael. "We'll bring you such pain. but if you cry out, look displeased or discomforted, even in the slightest way, it will start all over again. you'll hate us, but then you will love us. In time. This coven is about being more than just a vampire. No one wants to be average."
He nodded toward Xavier. Xavier is the only one remaining from the first generation. Aubrey was the first to be brought into the second generation. We all followed. It's not a walk in the park friend." He leaned against the bar and glared at him. [/center]

Shaden smirked to himself. So Xavier was just going to try and ignore him? Act like he wasn't even there. Well that was fine with him. After all they did share the same feeling toward one another. They both wanted the other dead. He sat quietly, just watching them. It was clear that Michael disliked Chloe. Shaden fully didn't understand why. She hadn't said much to him, and she wasn't trying to start a fight with him. Which he thought she might have. Chloe was always full of surprises. He avoided eyes contact with Aubrey, he stared either at the ground or at Xavier. For once Shaden seemed to behaving himself and stayed silent. In fact he hardly moved. He just wasn't wanting to get in a fight with their leader tonight. At least not now. Aubrey was already pissed off at him and he didn't want to push it any farther, until he could talk to her alone again.
Shaden had spaced out for few minutes and when he came out of his little trance, Kaden was walking around talking about the Coven. He watched him for awhile before taking a quick glance at Aubrey.

As Kaden prattled on about the hardships, the grueling training and the other terrible trials you must endure to go in the coven. He didn't show any signs of fear or second thoughts. It wasn't disrespect, just arrogance, he was fully confident in his ability to go through these trials. This may have been foolish of him, but he always learned lessons the hard way. That was why he was so confident.
He looked to every member of the coven before stating in a confident voice "I am not afraid. I can go through these things. I wouldn't have it any other way" And it was said, he didn't knowwhat their reactions would be.

Sevanni couldn't help but shake his head at the debacles before him. Everyone had a war with someone, and neither of them had the balls to step up. He already hated two people in this room, and it seemed as though the numbers were going to be stacked up in the end. He needed to go home.
Watching Aubrey show her young fledgling out the door, he decided to lean back and relax against the bar. There was nothing he could have done at the time, but he did make sure to stand clear of the others.
Now, it was all up to the leader.
