Jeremiah laughed and smiled. "Yes. It did." He winked back at her. "Thanks. I needed that." He looked at his sisters grave and traced the words again. "I wish I could have gone to her funeral, but what's a boy to do?" He shook his head. "Scratch that. No more sadness for today." [/font]

Seeing the smile on his face was comforting for her. It's all that really mattered, even if that was her first kiss with a male. Jeremiah was a friend...so therefore it was alright.
Wasn't it?
Kia mentally kicked herself. -Of course it's alright. Don't be ridiculous!- she mused as she rested her cheek on her forearms.
As Jeremiah spoke of wanting to go to his sister's funeral, Kia's brows furrowed. Thankfully no one in her life had passed away. When The Bane torched her village, Kia was but a child and didn't really remember the tribal camps before the one she resided in now. It was the village her mother, Faina, had grown up in that was no longer around.
Kia's ears perked up at the sound of "no more sadness" and she smiled again. "That's right. No more sadness." she said, looking at Jewel's headstone and sighing. "So Jeremiah...are you a part of a pack? Or a loner like me?"
