Lillie ran her finger around the edge of the beer mug after a small swig. She was still looking at Dakhan with a half expectant, half bemused look on her face, mischief in her eyes. She shrugged into the jacket and slumped in the chair.
"Yes, I suppose a nice, warm fire would be the best thing right now." She said, bent her head over her mug. Her blonde hair fell around her head, but her blue eyes still shone through as she looked up at him; her head only bent forward a slight bit. Lillie kept running her finger around the edge of the mug, enjoying the sound that she could hear and the one she had always imagined while alive, that didn't exist.
"So, I guess, you won't mind sleeping on the floor today then." She said, sighing a bit. She was toying with him too. Wanting to joke with him, but unsure of his style of humor.

Dakhan raised an eyebrow at her comment. He put his stein down on the table and then leaned an elbow on the wooden surface. "My dear," he informed her, "I never sleep on the floor." With a sultry smile he added, "However, I do sleep like the dead, if sleeping is what you really want to do."
He brushed his hair back from his face and watched her intently, amusement lurking in a faint smile at the edges of his lips.

Lillie gave him an innocent look. "Whatever do you mean?" She asked, feigning naivity. "You mean, like a game?" She asked, trying her best to keep a straight face, but couldn't help laughing.
A moment later, she regained control and slightly bit her lip, licking the spot quickly. "I'm sure that would be fine with me, considering I have nothing more important to do and day will be here soon."

The quintessential flirt, Dakhan winked at her. "How about poker? Then bed."
He quaffed his ale and thunked his stein down on the table. Then he stretched and yawned rather theatrically. "My, oh my! I _am_ tired. Must be because of the soaking. But," he wagged a finger at Lillie, "I am not above handing you a resounding defeat!"
His arms dropped to the table top lightly. "I'll have you know that I can be very gracious after winning. In other words, I _will_ give you back your clothes."
When the waiter returned to their table, Dakhan politely refused a refill, then paid for the beers. He stood up and reached out to help Lillie up from her chair. "Shall we retire for the evening? I'll ask for a deck and we can play until we find something better to do."

(Of course, no mindin' of you at all Rose. This is just me sayin' hi, how are ya?)
Lillie quirked an eyebrow at the mention of poker, she knew she was horrible at poker. But that fact didn't stop her, the alcohol was starting to kick it, even if very slowly and lightly for the time being. She mumbled a 'mmhmm' in reply and finished her beer.
She watched him, her mug still in front of her mouth and chin. She smiled, finally feeling warm again, the leather jacket had dripped dry of any rain left on it. "Probably, I'm not too goo-" She stopped, hearing what he said about giving clothes back. "I hope so." She said, knowing full well that she was at the mercy of fate, and with some alcohol in her body and a handsome vampire, she wasn't sure she wanted it.
Placing her mug on the table, she shrugged off the leather jacket, keeping it around her, only covering the small of her back and her forearms. "Yes we shall." She said, giving him a grin at the odd formality. She took his hand and came to her feet, with one last look out the window to the still raining night, she nodded her head. "Sounds fine with me. I'm sure this will be fun."

On the way to the stairway that led to the rooms on the upper floor, Dakhan stopped at the main desk and asked for a deck of cards. The owner gave him a quick and quizzical glance before complying, perhaps wondering what the pair would do with cards when they were both so obviously young and interested in each other. With a smile, Dakhan pocketed the deck and he and Lillie started upstairs.
Once on the upper floor, Dakhan read the number on the key. There were only three rooms on the second floor, in keeping with the bed and breakfast theme. Dakhan's key read 'no. 2,' which was the only room on the right. One and three were to the left. He led Lillie to the door and put the key into the lock. The door clicked open and swung wide.
Inside, the room was large and as rustically elegant as a pub could handle. Dakhan presumed that they had been given the best room in the house and he was pleased. He loved luxury in all of its forms. Immortality did have its perks in many ways, he thought.
The room had only one window, which had a room-darkening blind. A little bit of tape would make it vampire-safe. The bed was a large four-poster, king-sized, if he didn't miss his guess. On the bedtable, he spotted a phone with an intercom. Immediately, he left Lillie and strode to the intercom.
Pressing down a button, he leaned close and said, "Hello? Anyone there?"
A tinny voice answered, "Yes, sir. Can I help you?"
"Yes, please," Dakhan returned, "Could you send up a nice bottle of wine and some duct tape to room two?"
The voice at the other end sounded curious. "Ah, yes, sir. Immediately sir."
Dakhan faced Lillie with a big grin on his face, "I'll bet they're wondering why I want the tape...."

((I know it's very short, sorry about that. But I'm rushed!))
Lillie stood there watching him. She gave a smile and laugh when he asked for the tape over the phone. "Yes, I bet they're thinking we're rather odd." She said, holding a hand to her mouth to stop her laughing.
She walked to the bed and sat on the edge of it, looking at the blinds. "So, are we going to play poker or what first?" She asked, looking up at him expectantly. "I'm very bored, so anything's better than nothing in my opinion."
