Lillie had left William in a rage one night, it seemed so long ago now. She scuffed her feet on the ground of the forest and looked up through the thick coverage of tree branches to glimpse the moon's sliver. She pushed her blonde hair from her face and absently moved her tongue across her fangs as she did when she was bored and pondering.
The cold night seemed to not affect her, she had recently drank, the unlucky fox's corpse lay nearby under a small pile of leaves. Lillie sighed and began to move quietly through the forest, it was the very same forest she had died in and the first place she had visited now, back on English soil. The English air seemed so familiar to her, she could smell the scent of smoking pipes and alcohol leaking from a pub down the hill.
Being the same person she had been when she was sired, Lillie was still not the kind to hurt humans, not if she could help it. Her vampric thirst was something she hated and she took as much trouble as needed to hide the fact she was one from anyone she met, even so much as dressing like a normal human rather than the customary leather. A more primial part of her kind of wanted to wear leather but she thought better of it. So, now she was there, back in London, England from the depths of the Black Forest in Germany where she had trained herself to be the way she was and fight her vampire instincts.

The low rumble of the motorcycle was punctuated by a loud 'pop,' followed by the sound of tires skidding on gravel and some rather impressive cursing. Then there was a 'clank' and more expletives.
"Mithras bedamned bike!" Dakhan swore as he nursed the toe he'd used to kick the machine. This was the very last time he rented a motorcycle. The next time he decided to take a little tour on the outskirts of London, he'd buy one. Lord knew, he could well afford it. Now all he had to look forward to was a very long walk back to the city.
The vampire crouched down to glare at the blown tire. He was lucky that he was wearing leather, otherwise he probably would have skinned his knee. Not that it mattered much; it would heal while he slept, but he now sported a nasty tear in his leather pants.
Dakhan stood up and angrily observed the silent forest. He could prop the bike against a tree and leave it for the rental company to come and retrieve, or he could be a nice guy and walk it back. He debated his options for a few minutes while the night sky clouded up.

Lillie heard a 'pop' in the forest not far from her. To her sensitive ears it sounded like an explosion plusating through the forest, however, she knew better. With a quiet sigh, even though she knew she didn't need to she preferred to breath, Lillie spun around to investigate what had made the explosion.
As she walked through the wooded area, she caught a glimpse of the sky and saw the darkening clouds beginning to roll over the velvet blue. She shivered and gulped, it had been in this forest on a rainy night when she'd been turned, she didn't think it would effect her so, but it seemed to. She pushed aside a few bushes and looked at good-looking man only a few years older than she, berating a motorcycle.
Lillie smiled and pushed her blonde hair behind her shoulders before she stepped from the bushes, unaware the man was a vampire, but even if he weren't she had no intention of feeding on him or any other human. She watched him, looking for any clues in his demeanor whether he was someone to speak to or one to avoid. She looked at the ground for a moment, remembering William but shook her head to clear away that memory. She kept walking forward, absently playing with her blonde hair.

Dakhan knew that she was there the moment that she moved. His hearing was excellent and his sense of smell even better. He kept himself looking as if he was unaware of her, because he didn't want to frighten her. He knew that she was another vampire but was unsure of whether or not she would recognize him as one as well. He was so old, and so adept at hiding what he was, that the possibility he would remain a cipher to her was great. He let a small scrape from her shoe alert him to her presence, as if he was a mortal.
Bringing his head up, Dakhan met her eyes with a relieved sigh. "Thank god! My tire blew." One arm indicated the downed motorcycle. "I don't suppose I could presume upon you for a ride back to the city?"
He gave her his most sincere smile and an expression of hope.

Lillie's blue eyes widened when she heard the scraping of her shoe on a rock. She cringed, hearing it loud and definit, even in the Black Forest she had not learned to tone down certain noises. She looked at the man and couldn't quiet smell blood, but he looked like a human nonetheless. She tilted her head to the side, completely bewildered by the man she met.
"Uh...hi, no I walked here." She said, knowing that even before she'd been turned she'd walked all over London on her own, she'd never used a car or bike of any kind. "I was just passing through, but I guess I could help you take the bike back to town." She offered, being the same good Sumartian that had ended up getting her killed.
Lillie looked at the man, he seemed perfectly human yet her ears didn't pick up any pulsating blood, any thumping heart, and his demeanor seemed almost dignified. She wanted to say he was a vampire but yet she wanted to claim he was human.

Dakhan chuckled. "That's my luck for you. Of all people for me to meet, I come across a lovely lady without a car. And I can't even offer her a ride." He looked a little sheepish at that admission.
In the distance, thunder rolled ominously. Dakhan ducked his head in defeat and then peered at her from under a thick fringe of hair. "Not to mention the storm that's creeping up on us. Sir Walter Raleigh, eat your heart out.
"If you'd like company for a long, wet walk," he volunteered, "I'm your man."

Lillie looked aside awkwardly, she wasn't used to flattery. Certainly there had been no one around to flatter her or choose not to that much in the Black Forest. She glanced over at him, her cheeks slightly flushed, which only made them a light rose on her pale skin, thanks to the fresh blood in her stomach.
The thunder rumbled and Lillie looked up, the tree foilage was not going to protect them from the cold rain. She thought about his offer to walk with her in the rain, it sounded awfully familiar. The night she was sired it had been raining. Lillie cringed a bit, wondering what else could happen to her after she had been killed and woke up the next night to drink blood and hide from sunlight.
She nodded her blonde head. "Yeah, that would be fine. So what were you doing passing through this forest at night?" She asked, looking at him, finally deciding that he had to be a vampire, he had no heart beat. "Are you....like me?" She asked, she had never met another vampire besides William.

The light of amusement sparkled in Dakhan's black eyes, "I wanted to go for a ride." He looked up at the steadily clouding up starlight, as he righted his bike. "And I like the night, unless it rains."
At her hesitant question, the vampire again raised an elegant eyebrow. "What do you mean?" He asked amiably as he started pushing the heavy motorcycle. It was awkward, but its weight was negligible to him; his vampire strength was incredible.

Lillie went to bite her lip and nearly jumped when she felt her own fang on her lip. She reached a hand to lip, rubbing it to keep it from bleeding. Lillie didn't care for the rain much but she didn't hate it either, she thought it was fine at times, if it seemed to reflect a mood."
She didn't get a yes or a no to her question, of course she must have been out of her mind to actually ask. She watched him push the motorcycle and began playing with her blonde hair. "I mean...are you....human or not?" She asked, looking like it was the most awkward and ridiculous question to be uttered.
"It's just....you don't have a heart beat, that I can hear, but you look like a human, but you wear leather, but you're riding a motorcycle...." Lillie said, and by the end of that, she was completely confused by herself.

Dakhan stopped dead in his tracks. His head dropped between his shoulder blades and his chest heaved as if he had sighed heavily.
With his back to her, he replied, "I know what you are. I think you know what I am -- what we both are." He twisted to look back at her over his shoulder as he continued. "Does it matter? I mean, there's nothing against the law about riding a bike at night is there? And leather is excellent protection against scrapes and bruises." He gave a low chuckle. "That's something I sure needed tonight."

Lillie looked a bit alarmed, she hadn't meant to insult him. She folded her hands in front of her, as if she were a little child who had did something wrong, she certainly felt like it. That was when he answered, she somehow understood and yet she still felt awkward.
Lillie met his eyes when he twisted, she could see that they, too, burned and yet there was no effect on her. She listened to him speak and gave a small smile, one that only added to her childish appearance. "It's just that--I've never met another before, besides one. I assume for most, it's normally that way."

((if this isn't open please send me a pm.))
Deakon, who had been searching his old hunting grounds, listened to two vampires talking and then maybe one was in trouble. He wasn't to sure. He'd only been listening to tone and not words. Deakon sniffed the air. Was there a familiar scent? No, there couldn't be. Could there? Maybe he had met one of them in a bar or pub. He could tell just by the look of the man that he'd never met him, but the girl was another thing. She seemed a bit recognize- able. Had he seen her somewhere? Yes! Yes, he had. It was one night in fall, not long after he settled down in London.
His garb was his normal, He had given up on trying to blend in with the humans; A long blck leather duster, combat boots, black jeans, a black slipknot T-shirt, and a studded belt with a dozen or so daggers. He slipped a cig into his mouth, lit it, and flung himself off the barnch he sat on. He landed behind the pair silently. He didn't say a word. If they were intrested in talking to him they'd talk first. He didn't feel like starting a conversation but if one were started he would speak. The only reason he was there was to make sure that this guys temper didn't rise to high, to a rate of attacking this young woman.

(OOC: The more the merrier!)
Leaning the bike against his thigh, Dakhan beckoned her closer. Thunder rumbled and the air smelled of ozone. Trees began to whip in the wind that had risen.
"Look," he explained patiently, "I've been just about everywhere and believe me, there are vampires all over the world. Some of them are nothing more than blood sucking leeches. I take those out whenever I find them because they're bad for business.
"Indescriminate killing is stupid. I rarely kill my donors, but then I've been around for a very long time. I've made no fledglings, but if I ever did, I'd parent them until they had control."
He pointed to her, "Your own parent should have told you this. I had to learn it myself unfortunately. It's a pity that some of us haven't climbed out of the dark ages."
Dakhan took off his leather jacket and held it out to her. "Take it and put it on. We're about to get wet."
Suddenly, the wind changed and Dakhan caught the scent of yet another vampire. He dropped the crippled motorcycle and stepped between the potential attacker and the girl. Over his shoulder he stated, "My name's Dakhan. Stay behind me until we see if this guy is allright."
Rain began to fall slowly, as if the storm was winding itself up for a big blow. Dakhan's long black hair began to toss as the wind picked up.

Lillie hesitantly took a few steps closer to him, she didn't like the idea of trusting any male in a forest again. She listened to his words, but she could pick out that he was saying that William hadn't taught her how to control her hunger. That certainly was true, but Lillie had more self-control than that!
"Hey, you can't really blame him. I mean, he didn't stay with me long enough to teach me that. I ran off, but I learned and I most certainly never hurt humans." She objected, wiping a peice of her blonde hair behind her ear.
Lillie took the leather jacket that was held out to her, it was quite obvious her human clothes were soaked and freezing her. "Thanks." She mumbled, pulling the jacket on and making sure to pull her long hair out from underneath it.
Lillie watched as another person, she couldn't hear a heartbeat, so vampire, dropped from the tree. She tilted her head to the side and looked at him, he looked slightly familiar, from a bar one night when she was drunk? She moved some of her blonde hair from her face as it was tossed in the wind and the rain sogged it down close to her head.

Deakon gave a bit of a smile as he saw the older vampire give the girl, who was somewhat familiar, his jacket. That was a relief. He didn't feel like having to defend some youngster to their kind. Not this night anyways. He tilted his head, his two front teeth and his fangs just barely visible. He had a confused look on his face. His eyes glistened in the faint moonlight. If he would have been looking in a mirror he probobly would have laughed at his expression.
"Lillie?" He asked, "That's your name right?" He was, of course, speaking to the girl. "I mean no harm. I, like yourself, only hunt when nessacary and don't go killing something for no reason. That is what you just said isn't it?" He asked hypatheticly. This time he spoke to the Elder. For some reason Deakon felt a bond of some kind to this one. He shook it off. He knew there was no bond. The vampire that had turned his mother was dead. He had killed it himself, in defense of course.
He blinked, once, twice, thrice, before he spoke again. "M'names Deakon." was what he had ment to say but it came out as incomprehensible gibberish, or at least that's what it sounded like. For some reason he had began to speak in German. He hadn't been to germany in months so why would he speak it. He barely noticed the rain, the only time it really bothered him was when he was hunting. He certainly wasn't hunting this night. That was his fledgings work for the week.
