Mindy led William to her apartment. She brought him out of the woods and down a road until she saw the friendly homes stacked neatly on top of each other. Hers was on the last floor, the thirteenth floor.
The small apartment overlooked the woods. Mindy knew a path she could go down out of her own backyard, which led to a beautiful clearing deep in the woods where she liked to think.
Mindy fished through her bag for her keys. She unlocked the door and opened it to a room with a warm disposition. There were paintings hung on the walls and a wooden floor. The walls were a nice shade of spruce green. A black cat napped in the corner who woke up when the door made a small bump against the wall. She stretched and sauntered over to Mindy for a greeting.
Mindy rubbed the cat's back and watched as it rubbed itself against William, "she likes you," she said. Mindy removed her sweater and threw it on the couch. She tossed her bag to the kitchen table.
"I'll be right back, make yourself at home, choose where you want to sleep," she said and walked into her bedroom closing the door behind her. Now she could think.
She invited a vampire in her home. It was a nice thing to do, seeing as the sun was going to come up in a few hours and he would never have time to get home. She wondered if she wanted something more out of this. How could she want something more? that was the wrong thing to ask for.
It may be true that she liked William just a little more than a friend. He did show affection for her when he returned her hug, holding her close to his muscular body. No, she was being ridiculous. How could William love her?
Mindy changed into denim shorts and a light purple tank top. She kept her leggings on, however, she didn't feel like wrestling them to get them off her legs. Mindy returned to William.

William was lead to a nice area, following her closely and distinctly as his eyes glanced around slightly, taking in the new environment, which he hadn’t explored before, surprisingly. The new smells and sights, heightening his senses, a soft shudder running down his body – he soon found himself placed outside Mindy’s door, somehow, like he’d followed her through a time-warp of sorts, losing track of time.
When she finally got the door open, his eyes automatically diverted to the feline creature, seeing it quite abruptly in the midst of the dark as it scampered over towards them. A soft smile creeping up on William’s lips as he watched Mindy’s little friend take interest, feeling the cat curl and snug up against him. “Hey…” William quietly said, as he leant down to run his long slender fingers through the cat’s soft hairline, glancing up to Mindy as he nodded “So I see” he replied, knowing the cat took to him.
Moistening his throat with a wet swallow, he watched Mindy get a little more comfortable, before slithering off into the back room, leaving him to make himself at home. Thinking for a moment, he glanced around quietly, wandering what to do for a moment, as his arms curled up around the cat’s torso to pick up, standing straight and tall to slowly walk around her apartment. He gently petted the tired cat that had been awoken by the entrance, easing it with his caressing fingers that swept and swooned through the cat’s fur.
As William walked around quietly, his hazel eyes ran over her various ornaments and pictures, smiling to himself as he felt at ease, home? Already… Walking along, he eventually approached the window, unhooking the drapes from off the walls, to drag closed with his free hand. A soft sigh left his lips, as he placed the cat down upon the sofa, dragging his unbutton shirt closed a little – wandering what Mindy was doing?
Then his curiosity was satisfied as she walked back into the room, that smile grew on his lips again as his eyes wandered down her body and new comfortable dress sense. “Nice choice” he said with a wink, gesturing to her clothing. “Beautiful home…” he said slightly after, taking another glance around, whilst his hands gently ran down the front of his shirt.

What Mindy noticed first was Orion purring contentedly on the sofa. The cat never like visitors, she was surprised she had taken to William. Usually, Orion would get into hissy fits and extract her claws and jump on the guest's face, scratching it up until Mindy wrestled her off and scolded her. She was amazed that she liked William, and he was a vampire! Mindy expected Orion to get all defensive and murder William's face!
Mindy had a theory about this. The cat didn't like any human except Mindy. William was not human. Maybe Orion knew the difference. Maybe humans were the real monsters here. Maybe vampires were simply misunderstood creatures. Mindy trusted her cat and sided with her on this one.
Mindy scooped up Orion and hugged her close to her chest and looked onto William. "Thank you, my parents hired an interior decorator but I really didn't want them to do that," Mindy said, recalling the day she moved into the apartment.
Her parent's were very rich, but Mindy didn't like that type of life. Her parents insisted on getting her everything she wanted, but she wanted very little. The only thing she owned that was expensive was a horse stable. She had a few nice thoroughbreds that raced, she chose the jockey herself.
Mindy set Orion down on the floor gently, she brushed against her legs and begged for more love but she simply shooed her away. "William, I do hope you found this place comfortable for your stay," she squinted at the clock hanging on the wall, three hours until sunrise. "You know, your the only person other than me who Orion is friendly to," she added.

His eyes couldn’t resist the soft glance down her slender figure, extremely defined by her new choice of clothing, the comfort factor nestling into the back of his mind already as his body eased and already, things began to feel like sweet home? Softly moistening his lips, he watched as Mindy hoisted up the quite friendly cat, smiling to himself as he knew instinctively that the little feline was protective of her.
Nodding gently to her words upon an interior decorator designing the place, it didn’t really seem like it, in-fact, he wasn’t even complimenting her on the design of the place, as he quietly said “I love the personal touch, you’ve done to the place” softly giving a smile, as he glanced around again, to the pictures and warm minor touches that had been made. That was the true warmth to the place.
Gliding his hands down the open strands on his shirt, he could feel where the buttons had been popped open from earlier – not quite sure what got into him to do such an action towards her, scare her. His thoughts soon drifted aside as he looked slightly dazed up towards her, catching her final words on being comfortable enough for his stay… “Of course, its more than what I’d expected” he timidly said, sighing gently to look at her with a stern strong look. “Yeah, Orion… He’s quite the protector” William uttered gently, winking towards her as he could almost feel the cat’s vibe of speech.
Grinning a little to himself, he shook his vaguely to comb a slender hand through his dried out gel’d hair. “If you’re tired, we could forget that… thing” a slight shrug taking to his shoulders, not wanting to make her feel uncomfortable with everything, not when things were so nice at the moment – he’d never been inside such a warm home before and surprisingly, his eyes couldn’t keep from glancing at her now and again, feeling that strange tingle inside… Something he couldn’t quite put his finger on, that emotion he knew too well, but it felt so long since he felt it, was it… No, It couldn’t be, he thought mindlessly to push the thoughts away. A human? Nah.
Moistening his throat with a soft gulp, he looked down his body slightly to slide back the open shirt and look at his flesh, feeling a little ‘grotty’ from the night’s events. “I couldn’t possibly, freshen up could I?” he asked calmly, like he was never the vampire she met earlier in the evening, the scary short tempered devil that tried to warn her off such thoughts, being blooded, turned.

Mindy watched William look her over carefully now. He must have been doing that back in the woods, but it may have been too dark to see. He was obviously becoming more comfortable. Mindy hoped this would not be the only night he stayed here. Mindy didn't know much about men, let alone vampire men. She didn't know if someone was flirting with her or not.
She usually didn't want to believe someone was flirting with her. She knew she was pretty, but she was afraid that that was what the only thing everyone liked her for. She never had a boyfriend, unless you counted Julian who she was not technically dating. Many men liked to flatter her.
They wanted her because she was good to look at, not because they liked her personality. Mindy hated the men that did that. They all turned out to be really thick men... foolish men, men who wanted a pretty wife to brag about. Some woman came under the misfortune of being abused by men like that, because they didn't do what they wanted. They were scared to leave them after that.
William brought up the whole, "drink my blood and you can see my history," concept again. She almost forgot about that. If she put it off now, then he'd have to stay tomorrow with her. That would give her more time with him. Maybe they'd find a lot of conversation from that so he would have to spend the night again!
"I do suppose it would be best to wait for tomorrow. We both had a long night," she said casually. She still could not decide if William was showing affection toward her. She would love to be with him forever but she didn't want to make a fool of herself by flirting with him. Still, wasn't, "may I freshen up?" some sort of sign? She was really not good at this.
"Yes, of course you --," Mindy began but did not finish. Orion had suddenly jumped up and extracted her claws. She was yowling and hissing too. Her back was curled over, she looked like she was ready to pounce. She was facing the door. "Someone's coming," Mindy whispered. She knew very well that whoever was coming was no good.

His eyes softened, trying not to make it too obvious that he was looking at her from afar almost, admiring her dramatically and almost cursing the special vampire inside, who’d get to embrace her close when he turns her – let alone be the one to teach her the ways of a vampire, the new feelings, sensations and emotions of a vampire. Why couldn’t he be the one? Wait, he didn’t want to be the one, he didn’t want her to lose that warmth, the soul, and the Mindy he knows…
He felt a little confused inside, tugged either way with his emotions, not really sure to what he was feeling now, these new feelings – it’d been so long since he had this weird warmth inside him and that strange smile that seemed to perk up on his lips each time she mentioned his name or looked at him, was this love? No, it couldn’t be, it was just a friendly thing right?
When she acknowledged his proposal on the whole blood thing, he was a little relived to know she was feeling fine to prolong it – postpone it, for another night? Did that mean William would get to spend more time with her? A soft churning of enjoyment in his stomach turned, just thinking about being around her for that much longer, another night… “Yeah, its best to… Do it another night” he quietly said, slightly repeating her words to an extent.
The smile on his face softly stayed as he listened to the next reply, what was left of it, as Orion suddenly made that thrash defensive move – William’s eyes narrowing as he watched the protective cat take haste, sensing something, before laying his eyes on Mindy “Who…?” he asked curiously, slowly coiling his fingers up to grip tightly against the palms of his hands, almost expecting an angry boyfriend of hers to burst in? or some sort of ex, that happened to pay a drunken visit…

Giselle strutted into the woods, hoping to find a lost human. She would assist that human... to their death! Giselle cackled softly to herself, her thoughts containing images of blood. She just attacked a house and wasn't that hungry anymore, but she was always up for a good hunt. Giselle especially liked torture.
She dragged her young vampire along, Duncan. One night he made the mistake of insulting her and now he had to suffer for an eternity. Duncan shuffled next to her, his head facing the ground. His torso was bare. Giselle loved to see the marks she made on his back when she burned him.
The lady vampire stopped. Duncan was beginning to lag behind. Giselle got behind him and struck his back with a burning branch until he got moving again. The useless vampire was too tired. He dropped to the ground and lay there. Giselle spat on him and left without him. She could find him later. He would not dare abandon her.
She heard voices and crept around a series of trees to the two talking. It was a male vampire and a female human. Giselle would have expected that the vampire was hunting the human, but no. The two were clearly friends. A vampire and a human! How filthy! How could a vampire love a mortal girl? Humans were only good for their blood and a good time for a vampire. This relationship would not do with her. She had to do something about this. Giselle had to show the vampire that humans were varmints.
Giselle followed the pair back to an apartment building. She had to resist the temptation to just kill the human right there. She wanted this done in the building. She wanted people to see. There was no doubt that the vampire cared for this human. She wanted to make him miserable. When he was all angry, she would let his tangent wake the whole building. Then she would really have some fun.
She waited outside until she knew they were probably settled in. She glanced at her designer watch. Three hours until sunrise. She could crash in an apartment if she had to. All Giselle needed to do was kill the inhabitants. Giselle sprinted up the stairwell to the last floor after she learned where the mortal stayed.
Giselle could hear a cat hissing when she was in front of the door. Before she made her grand entrance, she fixed her hair and make-up with a compact mirror. She was beautiful, she had to look good when she was doing this.
The gorgeous vampire twisted the doorknob until it broke the lock. She stepped into the room. To her surprise it was nicely decorated, for a human. Giselle strolled over to the cat and stroked it's back. She growled back at it. The cat pounced at her. She merely grabbed it by it's collar and threw it out of the room. She hated animal blood. No sense in killing a cat for no reason.
Giselle moved onto the pair. She looked them over. The vampire was handsome. She could find use out of him. He would be the perfect candidate in operation make Garth jealous. She would have to do away with the girl though. She mortal clearly looked mortified. She trusted her cat, obviously. She knew something threatening was coming.
"Well, what have we got here? A vampire with a filthy mortal girl! How wonderful. Tell me vampire. How is it you have come to love such a thing? Let me show you how to be a vampire. First I will have to do away with the human. You won't miss her. Humans are only good for their blood," she sneered. Giselle came up from behind Mindy and grabbed her neck.

William’s body tensed as he watched the door fly open, a slender and beautiful looking woman slowly walking in, toying with the cat somewhat to toss aside needlessly. He could tell she was a vampire immediately, those stunning looks and arrogant attitude, all part of being an eternal rotting race – William had nothing but hatred for vampires now, he wanted nothing to do with them and he’d spare no life or mercy to them if they were seen dangerous in his eyes.
A small smirk grew on William’s lips as he tilted his head vaguely to look at this new-comer, she was full of it, wasn’t she!? Bursting in here and making something unnecessarily her own business, how rude… William’s temper was already brewing up, a slight grit taking to his back-teeth as he glared upon this so-called strong female vampire.
Her words struck a slight nerve of William’s, making him shudder and coil up inside to feel hurt – once again, the vampire race turning on him, no wonder he now wreaked destruction in their back yard, playing them at their own game. “A filthy mortal? How, bloody dare you call her that…” William said through the clenched teeth and flared nostrils, talking about Mindy like she was a microwave dinner – unhealthy, quick snack and worth throwing away.
That really got William angry, but before he could make any means in protecting Mindy, striking up the first move, her vampire reflexes spun into action and she’d already swept up behind Mindy and grasped her by the throat. His eyes widened as he spurted out “Mindy!” in a slight shock, growling to snap his arm out and grab a nearby weapon, which happened to be a handle holder on Mindy’s coffee table, before turning to spring over towards Giselle with his agile feet. Raising his arm back, he grunted to throttle down the candleholder towards Giselle in an effort to free Mindy – he could tell she didn’t respect the elders.
Although William had the strength and speed with his bare hands to take on Giselle, he was in no mood to start dancing and frankly, he wasn’t going to take any chances – if its one thing he’s learnt over two-hundred years, is to use your surrounding objects with advantages.

Mindy watched horrified as the female vampire burst into the room uninvited. She wanted to say something like, "Get the hell out of my apartment," but thought wiser. This vampire was not like William. This vampire would kill her. It was best to keep her mouth shut. If she said anything insulting then it might provoke her.
The vampire was far more pretty than herself. Mindy was amazed and terrified at the same time. She was a vampire, she could get all plastic surgery all she wanted. That nose had to be fake, it was way to perfect. The vampire was dangerous in a beautiful kind of way.
When the vampire insulted her, Mindy wanted to through a comment back at her face, but she couldn't find anything bad to say about her. For one, she didn't know much about this vampire's personality other than that she had a big head. There was nothing wrong about her, she was perfect. William defended her though.
Mindy didn't see the woman coming. Before she had time to scream, the vampire had her neck in her hands. She really was going to kill her. She was going to enjoy her blood and then take William with her. Mindy gave William a helpless look. He tried to free her with the candle holder but the vampire simply caught it and whisked it aside. Mindy was about to scream, but her captor clamped a hand over her mouth.
Mindy couldn't move. She couldn't squirm free, or give the vampire an elbow in the stomach. Even if she was free, Mindy could never fight her. The vampire would easily snap her in half like a toothpick. Her only hope was William.

William’s ears pricked and twitched at Mindy’s slight pleading screams, that was soon muffled by the hand of the stranger who’d made their presence known in Mindy’s apartment. Personally to William, she wasn’t great looking; Mindy had way more than this cold-blooded vampire. Who smelt of such impurity and lack of knowledge, she had to be a young vampire who thought the world was her oyster… A very arrogant Vampire who made it her business to break-in and do this!
Suddenly his arm was yanked slightly as he felt the female vampire jerk the candle holder out of his grasp and easily throw it aside – was William getting slack? A two hundred year old, no wait, older than two hundred years, couldn’t take on this little vampire who lacked experience, unlike him? Was it the emotions clouding his judgment? These new feelings, he couldn’t quite understand.
His heart began to drop, feeling his stomach churn as he looked onwards with his glistening hazel eyes at the events before him. Mindy was caught in a web and the Spider was entangling his prey into a tight hold. He didn’t want to make any rash movements, encase she finished Mindy off with ease and swiftness – But William’s temper began to boil and his teeth kept gritting and grinding his mouth. “Let her go” William said in a real angry tone, it was a wonder the words were heard through the confinements of his teeth.
Did Giselle have this elder vampire where she wanted him? William stood tensed, lonesome and still, he didn’t want to do anything that would result in an outcome of death, Mindy’s death. “What do you want…?” he asked in a bargaining tone, looking at Giselle with his heated eyes “If you want to gloat over killing something, then take me – you’d be known as the vampire who killed a traitor, a vampire who thought he had a soul” although he now tried the talking method, his eyes kept looking around slightly, trying to find a way to break Mindy free.

"I'll call her whatever I want! I don't see why you like such a rat straight from the sewers!" Giselle screeched while muffling Mindy's screams with her hand. "No sudden movements, human, or else you'll be my next victim," she spat acidly. She gave Mindy a sharp jab with her knee into her stomach. The human would have groaned if not for Giselle's hand in the way.
How was she going to do this. The situation had to be handled delicately. It had to turn to her favor just the right way. One mess up and everything would go wrong. She wanted William to join her, maybe even join Kai's coven. All the "bad" vampires were in that. She wanted William alone, and she didn't want him upset over some human when she killed her. She had to first convince William that humans were worthless.
"Why would I let her go? And why are you asking me? If you want this thing so bad then come and take it. And Mindy? This thing does not deserve a name. You ask what I want? I want you, William. I want you to leave her and come with me. I want to show you how to really live. I promise you won't regret it. You'll like me better." Giselle said sweetly. She threw the human "Mindy" to the floor. Giselle knelt beside her and held her face in one hand, with the other she punched her close to her nose and once at her eye.
"Look at it, William. It's mortal. It can get hurt and it will die. I, on the other hand, can live forever. Why do you care about something like her? Come with me and she dies. Refuse me and she dies. You can't win. Why bother trying to save something that is already wasted? Why do you love her? How could you love a human? Let me heal you of the emotional wounds she inflicted on you. What does she know about vampires? She can't understand them. She can't help you but I can!" Giselle cackled again.

William stayed quietly still, his hands dangling at his sides, feeling them coil and curl up into fisted balls, holding onto his patience dearly as he watched Mindy struggle in the arms of this pathetic hunter – someone who was pushing his patience, further and further to the breaking point. He could feel his throat burning and his eyes gleaming, wanting to just lash out, but Mindy was in the way, he’d only hurt her… Let alone if Giselle managed to do anything to her, before he could even get there!
“She’s not a rat…” William angrily said snapping back! But then Giselle continued to speak, she spoke horridly how William didn’t deserve a name and most of all, how Giselle wanted William for herself? To be lured onto her side of the water and shown to the evil limelight once again. “Oh, I’ve tried that way of life and it doesn’t agree with me” William said stern, yet weakly beneath his voice, keeping his eyes on Mindy the whole while.
Suddenly the female Vampire dumped Mindy onto the floor and William gave a soft gasp to look at Giselle, stepping forwards a little, but stopped as he watched her thudding a few punches at Mindy, to then listen to her bargaining words again. William was shocked for a moment, how things had dramatically turned in this place, from sweet tender warmth, to the raging anger inside, that threatened to show the true face of William… His face twitched a little, trying to tame himself, but every slur of word and movement Giselle made, only added insult to injury, like fuel on a fire.
Giselle was going to Kill Mindy either way and obviously thought she was much more worthy than her. His eyes gleamed real strongly and suddenly his cheeks draped back like curtains to reveal his large fangs as he angrily snarled at her, pushing off his feet with force to throw his arms out towards Giselle, gripping at her upper clothing, he lurched the strength from his arms to try and throw her off and away from Mindy – William was extremely Angry and it’d be a blessing if either vampire lived through the nights events that was now unfolding.

Giselle liked how her plan was working. She knew William was going to get angry at first. She didn't know why though. If she was in William's place, then she'd drop the human faster than a blink. She was so confused. How could he prefer a human over her? It was like saying would you rather eat a cricket or a chicken wing? William was getting very possessive of the human. It was like he already claimed her. First, she had to show William how vulnerable humans were. Giselle just loved torture.
She admired his fangs, they were nicely shaped. Of course, her fangs were the best. They were perfectly white and pointed. She filed and rinsed with bleach every night. William's, however, were more natural. When she saw those fangs, she could tell they were itching for some human blood.
She was too busy looking at his fangs that she didn't see him coming to throw her. Giselle did indeed get thrown across the room. She landed by the door. She would not let this anger her. She would let this only be absorbed. She got up and strutted back to William. She shoved him in the chest and gave him a hard spin kick. Punishment for showing he like a human better than her, how dare he throw her. How dare he throw a vampire. He should be eating the human!
She turned her nose up at William's change in diet, "Now, William, every vampire knows that they get their nutrients from human blood. It's what makes us beautiful. Why be a vegetarian? I wouldn't dare drink animal blood. That would do horrors for my skin," she said calmly, giving William some beauty tips, what she did best aside from torture.
"How can you resist human blood? You are shaming yourself by drinking animal blood. It's not what vampires do. We are made to drink human blood. It's the circle of life. Humans were made for us. Humans are meant to die to give us food!" she shrieked. She wanted to make sure her hair wasn't messed up by the fall, but she couldn't risk it. After this she was going to bathe in blood and locate a hairdresser.

After feeling the weight of the female vampire leave his arms, he gave an almighty growl that spurted from his throat in sheer anger, his chest heaved as he took human breaths? But why? He wasn’t human… And he didn’t need to breath, so why did he even bother breathing? It was a mystery to others, but William knew inside he still had that soul, the reason to why his sire left him in pity and the re-occurring dreams of his victims keep surfacing, because he was a vampire with a heart and soul.
Turning his head slightly, he looked to Mindy, knowing it wasn’t good for her to see him like this – the instinctive beast of a vampire on a rampage nearly, on the brink of gnawing into anything that got into his way. He was too busy looking at Mindy that he didn’t realise she’d postured herself and waltz back over with speed, shoving him backwards somewhat to make him stagger a little, before her leg thudded into him, sending him down onto his knees before her…
He gulped at the slight pain, but he’d felt much worse and deception was the key to winning. If she thought she was hurting little William, she was truly wrong, it only made him tougher. His eyes rose to look up at her from his stagnant position on the floor, bursting out into a slight laugh, like he was insane or crazy? Lost the plot somewhat – apple short of a basket, as people would say.
“Drink, Human Blood!?” he couldn’t help but laugh some more, licking his lips to nod slightly, to stop laughing – his face dropping to look blankly at her, he was being sarcastic with the fake laughing, he was boiled up inside to rip this woman apart and his throat shot out a snarl as he threw his body up to stand quickly, almost jumping to his feet. Without words, his hand dragged up to her hair to grip tightly, entangling around thick strands to yank her head back somewhat – whilst the other hand pulled down the front of her top to feel her body “You like that?” William said through his gritted teeth to smirk slightly, tilting his posture to lean in and lick her neck. “Filthy Vermin…” he spat down her ear, to withdraw his hand on her body, clenching it into a balled fist ready to pelt at her stomach.

Giselle grinned down on William. He was so cute how he was hurt like that. Giselle doubted it really hurt though, William had some serious muscles. He had to have a weak spot though. That was hard to find on male vampires, most of them were packed with muscle. It disgusted her how he breathed heavily like that... like a human! This would be harder than she thought. She needed a new plan, she was only messing this up. William was becoming more like a mortal, he acted as if he had a soul! Impossible, vampires didn't have them. It certainly cannot be acquired again.
"And what is this? Breathing like her? Why do you do such things? Your a vampire! You will always be a vampire. You can't go back. You left that life a long time ago. You have to focus in on the now! Let me ask you, what soul do you think your going to find? Surely not a humans! I will show you how to behave! This is no good, your having an identity crisis! How could she make such emotions come out? How can a human do that? She knows nothing about us," Giselle sneered.
For the first time in her life, Giselle was truly confused. How could a vampire resist her? Why did he want a human? Giselle wanted William with her but this human obviously was more important. Who was more important than her? Men lined up at her mansion door, human and vampire men both. They all want the same thing, to be loved by her. She was no prostitute though, she wanted to wait for the right man.
Giselle loved William's tongue on her skin, "Yes, I do like that. Very good William. Maybe I have taught you something. Abandon the human. Come with me. Dare you call me vermin?" she whispered. She wanted more of him, she wanted the real thing. She didn't want just one lick on her neck, she wanted everything he had.
"I'll have to take care of the human first, then we'll both have a civilized conversation," Giselle said. She couldn't kill the human yet though, she had to know why William liked her better. Giselle broke off a piece of glass from the coffee table and smacked it into the humans head. Blood began to drip down her temple. She was unconscious. The smell of blood was driving her crazy. She had to resist taking the whole human though. Giselle licked the humans forehead until she was content. Her blood was very sweet. She savored every swallow of it.
"Well, William? Do you smell the blood? It is mighty tasty, would you like to help me suck her dry? Please, come and enjoy human blood. You haven't drunken it in a while," she said in an alluring voice. How could he resit this? Now he can smell her blood. If he was truly a vampire, he'd help her drink the human.
