[ YOUNG JULIAN; Title: Lesson in Manners -- Year: 1354.] Awakening from slumber, Julian rubbed his eyes and pulled himself out of a coffin. Looking around, the surroundings were different than what he last recalled. Now rubbing the back off his head, Julian felt a bump on his head and then began to worry about where he was. Staring at his body, everything was there that needed to be there, but ... where was Mother and Father? Julian then remembered. It had been two years since his father had kicked him out of the house, causing Julian to move away, but only to find himself lost. Perhaps he had found this place by chance? Or was he himself truly lost?? Pulling himself out of the coffin and closing the lid quietly, Julian began to search around, hoping to find someone to talk with. It had felt as if no one had dared to talk to him recently, almost as if he was an imaginary being. Staring down the dark, but dimmed lit room, Julian wondered where he was. "Bonjour? Hola? Is anyone here?" his angelic voice cried out in slight terror. Looking around, Julian didn't see anyone. Truly this place was already frightening, especially that there was no one he recognized. Soon enough, he had found himself in what appeared to be a parlor. Julian gulped -- was he in some sort of a hierarchial location? Shaking his head, Julian looked around and then saw a pair of twin couches. Walking over to one, he sat down as he began to sob, not recognizing the substance coming out of his eyes were not water, but rather... blood.

The young Sebastian was a sight to be hold. Not that the years dimmed his radiance, rather he looked like a figure out of a story book. His golden hair was tied in the smallest of navy bows, and his dress...black of course, as would suit him best. He had been awake since the sun set, and had been listening...listening for his new little apprentice to awaken.
The softest sound of a coffin lid closing was all the signal Sebastian needed. No doubt dear Julian would be confused, the boy had been through a lot. But little did he know, that Sebastian was to make him a legend; under his wings would he become magnificent. They all would.
"Bonjour? Hola? Is anyone here?" the little angel cried.
Poor dear. By the sounds of his footsteps, he had found the parlour and alas, was sobbing. Sebastian entered the room quietly, wincing slightly when he realized that the blood would stain his new couches, but smirking softly. Sebastian never smiled, only smirked.
"Now now, what is all the fuss about?" he asked, sitting beside the boy, patting his back softly.

Julian quickly looked up and noticed someone sitting next to him. *"Obtenez loin de moi! Soyez allé! Je veux aller à la maison! Je n'appartiens pas ici!" Julian cried out in French, standing up and recoiling himself away from Sebastian. He was truly frightened... who was this individual!? What did he want with him? Suddenly, Julian felt his head beginning to pound and he immediately fell to the floor, clasping his hands on his head. "My head...it ails. What's going on!?" he cried out this time in terror. He hadn't had blood in a while and well, Julian felt woozy. Where had he been venturing for so long?
Staring up at Sebastian, the tears returned and began to fall on the peasant gown he had taken off his last victim. **"... veuillez m'aider. Je suis si faible. Il blesse tellement mal," he sobbed as he crawled over to Sebastian and buried his head on his lap. "I...haven't been home for two years. My father knows what I am but he has made me leave. Please, sir...help me -- I'm so lost. I need a shepherd for this straying lamb..." Julian begged softly, his innocence crying out with him.
* = Get away from me! Be gone! I want to go home! I don't want to belong/be here! ** = Please...help me. I'm so weak. It's hurts so badly.

"Obtenez loin de moi! Soyez allé! Je veux aller à la maison! Je n'appartiens pas ici!" shouted the boy.
Sebastian didn't react very quickly, merely raised an eyebrow, but kept his cold-blue eyes void of emotion. He should have known. Poor thing, so confused. The world was a confusing sleep. Sebastian bet this boy didn't even know what he had become, where he was, and what would happen to him very soon. He was lucky, and if he cooperated, he would find himself in a rather comfy home.
"My head...it ails. What's going on!? veuillez m'aider. Je suis si faible. Il blesse tellement mal," sobbed the boy, changing from recoiling, to burying his head in Sebastian lap.
Sebastian patted him a few times, and then lifted his chin with his finger.
"Do you know where you are young man?" he asked, his voice soft and melodic as always.
"I...haven't been home for two years. My father knows what I am but he has made me leave. Please, sir...help me -- I'm so lost. I need a shepherd for this straying lamb..."
"You will stay here. This is my mansion, and I am Sebastian Lacroix, and you will behave like a nice lad if you are to stay here," he said, silently thinking that this boy ought to be taught some manners if he were to live under Sebastian's roof. But first, he needed to calm himself.
They found the boy not far from the mansion, at least one of his attendants did. he had been sleeping for some time, and Sebastian had been waiting for him to wake. While waiting for the boy's response, he snapped a finger, and one of his attendants came over. He whispered a request for blood, for the boy was weak, and turned back to his new little friend.

Julian looked into Sebastian's icy blue eyes and sighed. "I believe...I am in Paris, yes? Father told me that Paris would be a safe haven until I grew older. I know what happened to me on the journey back home from the East two years ago, but I...hate that I have yet to find someone to take care of me. I may appear that I could very well take care of myself, but the Church proved it wrong when they left me out in the cold for a few days when I became a young teenager," Julian said, faintly smiling at Sebastian.
"You will stay here. This is my mansion, and I am Sebastian Lacroix, and you will behave like a nice lad if you are to stay here..." Sebastian warned slightly and Julian nodded his head. "Merci beaucoup, Monsieur Lacroix. My name is Julian...Julian Nicolae Santiago, son....former[/i] son of Governor Santiago in San Sebastian, Spain. Where did you find me? I've been wandering for the longest time. I tried to stay in Bordeaux, but when I killed too many cows in their village, I left quickly. I'd like it very much...if you would take me in. I'm hardly any trouble and willing to learn."

Sebastian tsk tsked, obviously displeased how poorly this boy was taken care of. Poor thing, left all alone to fend for himself. He was still 'alive' which showed he was strong, but he needed to be refined if he were to stay with Sebastian.
"I did not find you, one of my attendants did on his way from the village. You were nearly a mile from this place, and freezing. He brought you too me, in his wagon, and I confirmed that you were a of the vampire. Now that I have met you, you will stay with me, as you have agreed. I think you will find yourself well at this place..." he said.
Sebastian's home was full of all sorts of old things and old passages. The house was a museum, of things he obtained and received from other vampires, old vampires such as Nefertiti. He had no secrets, therefore his house was open to exploration, as long as he ceased to enter Monsieur Lacroix's room or any of the rooms of that wing.
"This is your home now, my mansion. A room has been made up for you, on the second floor. You may go anywhere you which, save for my wing on the third floor. It is off limits..." he said, without stating a specific reason.

Listening to the man, Julian felt at ease, yet at the same time wished he could find out more as to who he was. "Sire? Why, out of all people, would you show pity and compassion towards me? No one ever wants to be around me. I'm an outcast -- that's why I guess I've been wandering everywhere more lately. I don't cause trouble, but how do you know I won't? You trust me this much? Besides, why would I invade your privacy on that wing that you speak of? I'm not ignorant nor am I stupid. Sir, I want to belong. I want to be known as someone again! I was a governor's son and now... I'm stuck...in this infernal shell of immortality! What am I to do!?" Julian replied, his voice reaching a climax of anguish and anger mixed together.
Staring down at his ragged clothing, Julian looked into Sebastian's piercing eyes and sighed. "I'm hungry and these clothes look awful... Please, sir...what am I do to? What is to become of me?"

Sebastian listened, with half an ear, perhaps slightly amused at the boy's constant state of distress, even though he was assure to be taken care of. He imagined dear Julian had been through a hard life, and was not content to take this all standing up. It seemed unreal for someone like him, however, it was quite true. He was quite the fortunate young man.
"Well! Calm yourself boy, and I will address your points. First, you will not ask why you are special, and have thus been chosen to stay here with me, for it was merely a coincidence that you were found. Second, if you do cause me any trouble, which I surely doubt, I am ready to greet your trouble with proper punishment. I do not think your ignorant nor stupid, however if I am to entreat you into my home, I must allow you to know of the ground rules. Do not ask me to explain myself again, young Julian, for you will not find me pleased," he said, each word carefully pronounced.
As Julian continued, he took a quick look at his clothing, and called for a man-servant. He whispered a few words into the man's ear, a bath was to be drawn up later for the boy, but more importantly he was to eat. He was lucky Sebastian kept blood around the mansion. It was brought quickly, and the servant waited, ready for Julian to accept him. Sebastian gave Julian a nod of the head, to take it, before retiring to his arm chair.
