[atrb=width,415,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] It was nice having Emiste back. It was as if the entire house had been a little nicer whilst she was away, and that was not how Sevanni liked it.
He missed the screams and noises that came from her play room. The shiny tools she used to do her damage. How they laid about the tables below, waiting for her return so that she could put them back into good use.
Sevanni missed her scent. He could smell her throughout when she walked about the grounds. Feel her nearby simply because he could.
In his bed he lay asleep, eyes fluttering from REM. Activities weren't abnormal, it was the re-occuring dreams he'd been having. The company was on it's way to being opened for business. The tests had gone perfectly according to plan. All he needed was to see if his first would be interested. Hence came the dreams.
Emiste stood at the West end of the room in a stunning black dress. This was the type of dress that you could imagine until your hearts content of what she looked like underneath, but you would be dead wrong.
His eyes were set on her and only her. She had her hair up, which was the only time Sevanni ventured eyes toward the flesh of her neck. Those shoulders. He could have kissed them all night.
The scene would change and he'd be behind her with both arms wrapped around her waist. Talking low enough for only the two of them to hear.
The party was going well. Everyone talking with one another, dancing and shedding affections with their lovers.
"I have something to ask you." She smiled that sinful smile she held so well. It went with her. As if no one in the world could ever be Emiste but her.
Sevanni led her away from the party, down the hall the led off to a room no one would have came across before. A room that let Sevanni know it was a dream. Some underlined thought he had in his head that was pushed out into his dream, to help him see the light.
"What the hell is this?" Her voice sounded confused, but oh so curious. It made him wondrous about the outcome.
The rest of the dream had played out because Sevanni didn't want to wake up. But it was at her answer to his question that woke him. It had went unheard.
He awoke beside her in a start. Sitting up completely but without sound. No sweat. Good sign. His heart was un-beating so there would be no threat to whether or not he was alive or dead. He was both already.
His head turned after rubbing his eyes, looking over at her sleeping form. It had been only a couple of days since they had finally found one another, and they had been a couple of days gone by far too fast.
He'd have more time with her.
The sheet covering her had slipped low by a single soft tug. Only her back, her shoulder, and her hair trailing over the pillow that was visible. Her face was beautiful, there was no question about that, but there was more than looks with her when it came to how he felt.
One had been purely because they looked good together. The other had been so appearances could be made, but Emiste was better suited for him in every aspect. There was no doubt in that.
Still, the bite marks had faded over the daylight hours and all that was visible now had been the redness from where she took his blood from.
He wondered if where he had bit her was still visible. After all, it was a very interesting few days. Heavy snowfall. Harsh winds. They were lucky to have food on stock hand or else they would have been some pissed off vampires. Not to mention the others in the house. Though, some were a little privy to the idea of venturing out to the city in Blizzards. Sevanni was not one of them.
Oh yes, breakfast. The most important meal of the day.
He slipped away after letting his lips press against the bare shoulder that peeked out at him to take a hot shower. He had a plan that would end it all. He would show her rather than tell her.

Emiste slept soundly that night. Again. She was slowly getting used to the luxuries and lavishness of a life in this house again. Although from a different perspective. Before it had been given to her - but at the price of her freedom at the price of the free expression of her soul. And she had loved it then. But now? Now it was given her if she even thought she might enjoy it. Now it came without the confines of slavery or the need to appease anyone - although it still pleased her to please HIM. The bed had bothered her at first. She wasn't used to it. And others had been there before. She thought about requesting it to be burned and a new one bought, but then she thought better. It was better to leave it as it were. She derived some cruel pleasure out of now being the one to occupy it. Out of knowing that now he was hers. Oh there would be others. She knew it even if it hadn't yet been spoken. But there were others in the house. And Sevanni was too much for anyone to resist for long. He would have what he wanted. She would have what she wanted. And they would have each other. The others could come and go - they could pass into oblivion for all she cared. But she would remain. And that knowledge gave her an authoritative air as she took her place with him in the house. As if she'd never left. As if it had never been any other way. Her eyelids fluttered a bit as she felt the shift of weight within the bed. Felt the softness of his lips against her skin and then the absence of his body next to hers. She smiled in her semi-slumber and a soft sigh escaped her lips. The water ran in the background and she stretched as he consciousness came around. Blue eyes opening to take in the room - the same way she had done the past couple of days. It still amazed her, still felt dreamlike at times. She propped herself up on the soft billowy pillows and allowed the sleep to fully leave her head before stepping gingerly onto the cool floor. The house was slightly cooler than normal - not that it bothered her, but she could still feel the difference. As if the blizzard outside were pressing in on the walls and forcing it's way into the interior of the house. She stepped into the pair of black silken slippers by the bed and shrugged on a matching kimono - leaving it untied and open. She crossed the room to the window, pulling back a curtain to gaze out at the whiteness. There would be no hunting today. Pity. If she became truly bored she might brave the storm to play with an unfortunate snowed in mortal family. Paint the snow red. But she had a feeling she would not become easily bored today. There was still much to see and do and discuss here in the house. Her arms crossed delicately over her chest as she turned and made her way to the shower where she could hear the water still raining down and smell the scent of her lover billowing upwards in the steam. "Sevi?" she called, although she knew he was there.
