[atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=001029] Juni missed Paris, and she missed her pack house. She'd only been there for a short time but already it felt like home to her. The place was huge and often echoed horribly from how empty it was. The pack was rather thinned out lately, but Katra was working on stepping things up. The alpha still scared her a little, she was such a strong personality and Juniper was still a little unsure if the woman liked her or not. However, everyone seemed to enjoy her cooking and she was bringing clients into the Paris restaurant like nobody's business. She'd also been dealing with quite a few injured werewolves, coming in from their vampire hunts with increasingly dangerous injuries. She was still thankful that she'd been able to bring Damien back from the brink. It was unclear to her if she would actually be able to live without him. She'd tried it, it hadn't worked too well.
The stories of her cooking prowess had spread throughout her circle of culinary friends, one of whom had contacted her just last week, begging her to do a week long stint as the 'celebrity' executive chef of their new restaurant. They thought that having her fly in from Paris would bring in more customers. They were so right. Her arrival had been hyped for a day and all of a sudden they were booked solid for the entire week she would be there. It was a lot of pressure all falling on her shoulders but she felt like she was pulling things off alright. She'd been a hit with the customers both for her culinary skills and also for the way she would hit the dance floor once she had served everyone. Juni loved to dance, almost more than she loved to cook.
All that time in the kitchen was getting to her though, she longed for the cool sterility of her operating room at the pack house, and also for her cozy bedroom. Most of all she longed to see Damien again. Her feelings for that boy were incredibly unhealthy, she desperately needed to get over them, get away from them. So she'd left the hotel and gone for a run. Her feet had taken her long and far away, into a residential area. Sleeping humans were all around her and she sighed deeply in relief. It was nice to be surrounded by humans again. If it weren't for her ridiculous love for Damien she would still be a human. Not that she didn't love being a werewolf, she did. It was so easy to miss what you couldn't have. Were she to somehow miraculously become human again she would surely miss being a werewolf.
Juni's feet slowed incrementally, eventually bringing her to a stop outside a quiet household. With a sigh, feeling spontaneous, she laid down on the sidewalk, her back on the cold concrete and her eyes lifted towards the heavens. The stars were so bright here, without the lights of Paris to block them out and her werewolf vision could pick them up even more. The moon, just a sliver of light in the sky, made her smile. She had a long time to go before she would have to face the terror of a full moon again.
"You're nothing to me moon, someday I'll find a way to conquer you."

When the text arrived inviting Blaise out to a party, she pretty much wrote it off on the spot. The whole 'social scene' was so beyond over rated; drunks doing a bunch of stupid shit they would normally never do, gossip, regret... it wasn't anything she considered fun. Apparently the rest of the teenage population thought differently. Sure, to an extent it could be entertaining; and maybe if she knew more people and was more 'normal' it would hold more appeal.
99% of the time she wouldn't have given it a second though... but for some reason she decided what the hell; if nothing else she could say that she didn't sit at home yet another night watching movies. Not overly attempting to impress anyone she threw on a pair of jeans and a hoodie, applied a little makeup for good measure, threw her coat on and headed out the door.
The location was in a part of town Blaise didn't know, but the directions were clear enough and she made her way with little trouble. Before she could even attempt to knock on the door it swung with brown eyes that were completely glazed over and bloodshot. Heeeeeyyyy baby what's your name?! he muttered as he stumbled closer.
Uhm, Blaise. Is this... she had to check her phone to make sure she got the name correct Mandi's party?
Sure is. You don't look like anyone I know, but i sure would like to get to know you... he smiled coyly at her as he stumbled a few more steps towards her.
Maybe some other time buddy. She turned as was about to walk away, muttering to herself about listening to her first instincts and not coming in the first place, when she felt a hand rather roughly grab her shoulder. Walk me to my car?
Do you really think you should be driving? I'm not driving, i'm getting more beeeeeer! Do you really think you need it??
He chuckled lightly as he grabbed onto her other shoulder and followed her down the steps. He could barely walk, so getting the keys in his car door was beyond doable. Blaise rolled her eyes, this was just affirmation of why she never went to these kinds of parties.
Listen buddy, I think I'm gonna go. Have yourself a good night... She began walking away when she felt his hand on her shoulder again. She was expecting a 'can you help me with my keys' or something equally retarded; what she got was his lips savagely attacking her face.
Blaise attempted to push him away away a couple times without success before she gave the poor sucker what he deserved, slamming her knee into his groin and knocking him on his ass; self defense classes payed off every once in awhile. She laughed at little to herself as he rolled around on the ground, writhing in agony and cussing like a sailor. Night...
Instead of going back to her truck, which inevitably led back to her confinement, she decided to take a walk around the block. After all, getting lost was virtually impossible; just keep turning the same way and if all else fails turn around.
When Blaise was younger, she always used to look at her feet when she walked; she collected rocks, and it was the easiest way to find them. Only after running into numerous vehicles, trees, and posts did she decide to give up on it. She was clumsy enough at the best of times, she really didn't need the added excuse.
Tonight, she was doing the opposite, and starring straight up at the stars. When i'm on my own, I'll live in the country. Where no city light will ever out shine the stars, and... her train of though was interrupted by the abrupt jolt of her toes hitting something,
What the hell... she looked down only to see a girl sprawled out in the middle of the sidewalk; who does that? I'm so sorry! I was looking up and wasn't paying attention and ... did I hurt you? Oh geeze. Blaise felt a flush come over her cheeks. She knew it wasn't entirely her fault, after all, you wouldn't expect there to be someone laying on the sidewalk at night, but she still felt terrible. She has just kicked someone, who unlike the pushy drunk ass earlier, didn't to anything to deserve it.
The count comes to 736 (with code). Blaise's conversation has been tagged to Juniper. She is flaunting this! right now. Her puppeteer would also like you to know that's alright, it works =).

[atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=001029] Juni was so lost in thought about how she could control the wolf inside her that she didn’t hear the girl approaching her. She didn’t feel the vibrations that were going through her from the girl’s feet hitting the concrete. All these things she normally would have seen, heard, felt. But her heart was distracted and so was her head. Juni only managed to realize the girl was there seconds before the girl’s foot planted itself in her side. It was just enough time for her werewolf speed to grab the foot, move her body slightly to the side to soften the blow. A groan of pain slipped between her lips. Boy was she stupid, lying on the sidewalk and expecting no one to walk over her. Juni rose slowly to her feet, clutching her side for a moment before stretching and shaking it off. The girl’s apologies made a blush rise in Juni’s own cheeks. “No no, don’t apologize to me. That was my fault entirely. What kind of idiot lays down on a sidewalk in the dark and expects to escape unscathed? Apparently, this kind.” She laughed lightly and shook her head.
“Don’t worry sweetie, you didn’t hurt me. I’m a quick healer.” A quick mover too, hopefully the girl hadn’t noticed that, it would take a lot of explaining. Juni couldn’t have known that the girl had already been faced with a vampire and a werewolf before. Friends in fact. All she knew was that one act of idiocy had potentially exposed her to a human. “You’re pretty young to be out so late all by yourself. Not that this is necessarily ‘the ghetto’ or anything, but better safe than sorry you know.” Juni knew what kind of scariness was out there, her parents had been brutally murdered by humans in a wealthy neighborhood, who knew what kind of crazy people were lurking in these houses. Who knew which ones were just waiting for a sweet girl like the blonde in front of her to wander into their grasp.
“You know, actually, I am feeling a little pain now. Why don’t you grab a bite to eat with me to make up for it? Any IHOPs around here? Or Waffle Houses? I could go for some pancakes right now, how bout you?” Okay so she was a sucker for a girl who seemed lost, and this girl seemed lost. Not in the neighborhood, the fact that she’d been walking without looking told her that much. But the look on her face, the look in her eyes. Juni had been there. Being a teenager was hard. This girl seemed like she needed something, maybe Juni could help her find whatever it was.
All those years as a teenager she’d been lost. Her friends had been left behind when she moved away, running from the love she felt for one of them and her parents were far away. She’d still been a bit of a dork then, the first year that she’d spent at her boarding school. The acne hadn’t cleared up and her hair was still a puff ball of a mess of curls. The other girls at the school thought she was a huge nerd and avoided her like the plague, it didn’t help that she was barely more than a scholarship student in a world where money was everything. When she’d blossomed into the beauty she was now, it had been even worse. Suddenly she was competition. All she’d ever wanted was to run home to Tanya and Damien, to be with them again the way it used to be, back when things were simple. When they’d all just been friends, things had been so much easier, but then the girls had become women and Damien had become a man and suddenly their genders mattered.
Ah to be young and innocent again. What she wouldn’t give to be five years old.
“I’m Juniper Jackson by the way, but you can call me Juni.” She held her hand out to the girl with a smile on her face. Hopefully her request for dinner hadn’t been creepy and forward. She had a problem with that sometimes…being creepy and forward that is.

Kindness was not something one often stumbles upon, literally, so Blaise was a little shocked that the girl she had just kicked was taking things to lightly; but by no means was that bad thing. It was a little bit my fault, i shouldn't walk with my head in the clouds.
Trust either came to easily or not at all to Blaise, being guarded seemed like a good thing lately; but this girl didn't seem like she could be all that bad, could she? A bit odd perhaps, when Blaise had kicked her the impact didn't feel quite right, but besides that she seemed nice enough. Blaise most likely looked quite perplexed at that moment, running over random scenarios and thoughts in her head. “You’re pretty young to be out so late all by yourself. Not that this is necessarily ‘the ghetto’ or anything, but better safe than sorry you know.”
& Blaise did know; she knew that things potentially far more dangerous than any human were running around rampant somewhere out there. Fear was a thrill though, and perhaps without ever consciously knowing it she welcomed such things. Essentially she had two options: one, she'd get herself so worked up and horrified that she lock herself away where no one would ever get to her, jumping out of her skin at the slightest of noises and scared for her sanity... or, she could live with it. Sure, she'd pondered the first option, but she didnt really know the extent of abilities "they" possed, and if they really wanted to they very well could get her anywhere she was, so why fight it?
I'd love pancakes, but i insist I pay for yours. I don't come here often, so i'm not sure whats around... but i have google, and a gps. If all else fails, I'm a pretty good cook.
A quirky smile crossed her lips. This would be the most irrational thing she had done in awhile, and it made her feel good to be getting back to some sort of normal. She offered her hand in return,
Blaise, but you can call me B, some people have trouble remember my name. Everyone probably thinks my parents were hippies...
Her voice trailed off; when she was nervous, even only slightly, she tended to ramble. Even though at the moment she didn't feel threatened, internally she was always on guard. Nervous was her own warning, but she fought it's irrational responses.
Did you drive here? My car is just a few blocks back, I can drive us.
The whole situation was a bit odd; walking at night, kicking someone, apologizing incessantly, and then being invited for pancakes... it had Blaise on the verge of laughter, when really it wasn't all too funny. She stifled a bit of a laugh, thinking to herself that she might look a little crazy at the moment, but hoping Juni didn't think too terribly of her; as far as first impressions went this definitely wasn't one of the better ones she'd given.
