"Do you like it?" The soft voice spoke out from beside him and Shaden turned slowly to face the speaker, Dante, his lover and best friend sense his human years. His lips twisted up at the corner in amusement; he wasn't exactly sure what Dante was talking about but.. it sounded dirty and he liked it, however, knowing Dante it wasn't meant to sound that way and therefor had nothing to do with the fact they were both laying in bed under the covers together, their clothes scattered across the floor of the bedroom. "Do I like what?" He responded eventually. "Do you like being home?" He clarified with a smile, reaching out to wrap his arm around Shaden's waist to pull himself a little closer. He nodded, "Of course I do." Though he was tired of moving whenever the hell Sevanni felt like it. Oh sure, he had his reasons, his excuses, but it was really annoying. He was like a grown child playing games, though of course Shaden wasn't much better when it came to games. His hand reached up to stroke the side of Dante's face, he liked knowing that if, for whatever reason, things didn't exactly work out with Sevanni that he always had Dante, well him and his adopted daughter Jezebel. He didn't see her much, but he had his own reasons for that. For one thing she didn't much care for New York, though no one could blame her considering the conditions in which Shaden had discovered her. Still... he'd really like to see her more. A sigh escaped past parted lips, and he turned over onto his back. Dante moved beside him, laying his head on Shaden's chest. They laid there in silence, neither of them cared, they were costumed to it. He didn't want to, but Shaden needed to take a moment or two for some actual mature adult reflection on where things were going in his life. Could he really continue on as he was? Fucking anyone that gave even the slightest hint of interest in him? He didn't like it, didn't like the direction he was headed in or rather the lack of direction his life had. What was the point of being immortal if he was just going to wast it having sex every chance he got. At one time or another he'd actually found himself wishing he could be more like Sevanni, but it was foolish thinking, besides, the would had enough men like Sevanni Black, it hardly needed one more arrogant, selfish bastard walking about causing trouble. So what was he going to do then? It honestly bothered him that he had no answer. He felt Dante looking at him, he knew it without having to even glance at him, "What Dante?" His voice was little more then a whisper as he spoke, and reached up to run his fingers through Dante's soft hair, and then down his back moving back up slowly. "Nothing, its just... you look kinda upset about something." Shaden half smile, but it didn't last long, "No, love, I'm not upset." Well it wasn't precisely a lie, however, it wasn't the complete truth either. He sighed again, this time more loudly, and gently pushed Dante aside so he could sit up on the bed. "I should get going." He finally said, throwing the covers aside and getting up to gather his clothes and get dressed. "Si us plau." He'd just gotten his pants on when Dante's voice stopped him from finishing, he turned to look at him, "Please what?" He knew what was going to happen now. Dante would beg for Shaden to stay, and Shaden would leave anyway like the bastard he was. "Please don't leave me." There was this awful whine to his voice; it was awful because generally most of the time it succeeded in making him stay, at least for a few more hours. He shook his head, "Not this time, Dante. I have to go. I'll call you later." He pulled on his shirt and sat back down on the bed to put his shoes on. Which of course was a mistake. Dante grabbed him from behind, wrapping his arms around him and held on tight, refusing to allow Shaden to leave. "Dante, would you something for me?" He asked, while he was still there he might as well ask, he more felt then saw him nod behind him, so he continued on, "I want you to go to France to get Jezebel. It's been awhile. I miss her, and France isn't exactly my favorite place to go." There was a long pause from Dante, so long in fact that Shaden was slightly worried he might refuse. A deep breath and Dante finally spoke, "Yes, I'll go get her." His grip loosened from around Shaden so he could stand, "Will she be staying here with me or with you?" Shaden shrugged, "Well I doubt Sevanni would want her staying there at his place so I guess she'll stay here with you." He nodded, and smiled. He liked Jezebel but she was still a little more nervous around him then she was with Shaden, although if she were to really stay there with him they could resolve that and become closer to one another. He was finally ready to go, he checked his pocket to make sure he still had his car keys, and then stepped forward to lean down and kiss Dante; nothing too arousing, however, even the slightest touch of Dante's lips against his own always left him wanting more. He pulled away, knowing if he continued he wouldn't be able to stop and he'd end up staying the whole night here. Not that anyone would notice if he did. "Adéu-siau." He said, using the Catalan word for goodbye, just as Dante had used the same language to say please a few moments ago.
He left, and as he did he felt Dante watching him, but when he glanced up at his bedroom window he couldn't see him. He drove off, speeding as always. There was no particular reason behind other then he had a nice car, so he was driving it fast. That was it really. What was the point of having a nice car if you didn't speed and show it off? He arrived back at Sevanni a bit too quickly. Once inside he didn't bother going anywhere else, he simply went straight to his room. He was a little thirsty, however, not so much that it would really bother him until the next night so it wasn't much of a concern for him. He laid down on the bed or partially anyway, his feet were still firmly planted on the floor whilst his back was on the bed.
Though now that he was actually back at Sevanni's he really didn't know why he'd had to rush getting here anyway. Sure, he wanted to see Sevanni, but.. after what he'd been thinking earlier, wouldn't it have been best simply to stay at Dante's? Or even go see Helena, which he seriously needed to do. Soon. He pulled out his phone, not sure whether to call her or maybe call Sevanni to see if he'd come to his room for awhile so they could talk. He wasn't sure how long he held that phone in his hand before giving up on trying to decide and just moved further onto the bed so now his legs were on it as well. Shaden turned over onto his side, he fervently wanted Sevanni, and wishing he were there beside him instead of somewhere else, with someone else. He didn't like feeling jealous, but at times like these he couldn't help himself from wishing they'd all just go to hell. Shaden didn't want to continue exactly as things had been going, however, when he felt such a deep aching desire this strong.. what else could he do but succumb to it...

[atrb=width,415,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] There was no doubt in his mind that things were better than usual. He had dealt with matters at the new site. All scientists were on board, funds were smooth, and everyone involved in the project were working day and night to make sure the grand opening was perfect. Sevanni was assured that things would be as such, but everyone knew Sevanni left nothing to just anyone.
The CD player played Dust in the Wind. A friend of his, who people wouldn't suspect them of being friends, but he was a musical artist who had especially put the CD together.
The car rode down the trail that led to the house. The gates opening for the car as the Lincoln pulled up. There were lights on throughout the house, but nothing out of the normal. There were more people inside the house than the last time, so having more lights on was expected.
"Pull around. I want to see Shaden before I turn in." He told the driver. This evening Jada was working. He was a temp for Antonio who had a slight drinking problem. Usually you would find him with a bottle of Vodka between his legs as he drives, but he knew better than to pull that shit with Sevanni. He had been warned.
When the car finally came to a stop Sevanni had ushered himself from the Town Car, wrapping his long coat snuggly around him as he headed toward Shaden's private entrance. He had a key. He had access to every single crack and crease within the house. It was expected.
Sevanni was able to sense Shaden was there from outside. Often, trying to tap into Shaden was hard, but he was working on it. Sevanni wondered if Shaden had ever tried to block him, but this time, as he grew closer and closer to him, he knew that he was needed.
The door opened, stepping further into his chambers and taking in that scent that he graced the house with. He had missed that scent.
It was quiet. His scent growing stronger as he made his way closer to where Shaden laid his head. Sevanni took the liberty of removing his coat and draping it gracefully over a chair that he had eventually passed. Fingers plucking away at the tie he wore around his neck.
The perfectly tailored suit was in for a slight ruin. Wrinkles. It was the main cause for dry cleaning.
Naturally.
When he stood and laid eyes upon Shaden, he couldn't help but to smirk. After everything they had been through, it was still a little hard to be where he was.
Eventually Shaden would have to learn about his plans for the girls in his life and whether or not there would be a problem. If the girls were ready to know about them, if Shaden wanted it quiet. Everything was changing, but if they had to be a secret, a secret between themselves, then so be it. Sevanni was a GREEDy man, and he wasn't about to let Shaden go.
He slid into the bed behind him. His arm lifting and moving to hold around his waist. Snuggling his other arm underneath for comfort while resting his head beside Shaden's. Lips close behind his ears. Taking in his scent. He felt at home.
"What bothers you Shaden?" He asked softly with deep hollow tones. He could smell another on him, and it was okay. Sevanni might have been a partially jealous man, but he was no hypocrite.
"I thought you of all people would be happy to be back in this city of sin." He moved to lock fingers with Shaden. Take him for comfort as well as giving it. Sevanni was glad to be where he was. Beside him, able to be open as far as each other would allow. But to see him laying there in such a pace was something that worried Sevanni. It just wasn't like Shaden. Especially when Sevanni knew that Shaden could tell when Sevanni was near. It was allowed.

[atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000]
Shaden could tell the very instant Sevanni made it home, the car driving down the path. He knew because it was like an alarm going off in his body screaming at him 'Sevanni's back!' over and over. The corner of his mouth turned up into a crooked smile, before slowly fading. He really needed to talk to him, but at the same time he wished he could simply forget about it and never mention it. Unfortunately though, he knew he couldn't do that, so there really was no point in trying to prolong the inevitable. Could Sevanni sense him here? Could he sense how much Shaden wanted to see him, hear his voice, have his scent fill the room? He hoped so. There was a time not too long ago when the idea that Sevanni could tell how he was feeling had felt like an invasion of his privacy. He wasn't sure why it had bothered him so much, but now he actually enjoyed it, and as a result had let down the walls he's unconsciously built around his mind in an attempt to make it more difficult for Sevanni. He already knew it would be impossible to stop him completely. He could feel him getting closer and closer, having used the private entrance. He felt him getting so close Shaden could practically taste him, which certainly wasn't a bad thing. He moved only to grab his phone that he'd left on the bed and place it next to him on the floor, and then returned to an unmoving position, fully stretched out, his legs only slightly bent at the knees, and his head rested on his pillow. By the time Sevanni had finally stepped into the room, Shaden was holding his breath and his muscles were tensed with the anticipation of seeing him. He still didn't move, making it perfectly clear he had no intentions of doing so and Sevanni was just going to have to lay beside him. There was a smirk given, Shaden was use to seeing it, and in fact enjoyed seeing it. That smirk suited Sevanni more then any real smile did. There was a moment of doubt on Shaden part, whether or not Sevanni really wanted to be there with him. Shaden knew that he'd probably rather be off with one of his women. The fact that he had a few female lovers didn't bother him. No, he wasn't trying to change Sevanni sexuality or anything like that. However, it did worry him sometimes that someday their sexual relationship would end because Sevanni would get tired of pretending to be something he so obviously wasn't. Finally he moved, walking to the other side, he felt his weight press down on the bed, felt him move closer, and then his arm was holding him around the waist while his other arm moved underneath him. He laid there behind him, holding him with his head close to Shaden's, it was more intimacy that he had expected, and with him that close he couldn't help but to relax, and breath in his scent that never failed to make Shaden hunger for his blood.. and his body. "What bothers you Shaden?" He'd known Sevanni would ask that, or something along those lines. However, he wasn't ready to answer that question just yet. He was enjoying the moment of intimacy while it lasted. "I thought you of all people would be happy to be back in this city of sin." He glanced down at their hands when Sevanni's fingers entwined with his own, and looked away with a small smile on his lips. "Being back here isn't whats bothering me." Though it was a good reasonable guess. It was also a possible solution. He could lie, take back what he'd said and claim it was the move that had gotten him upset, but he didn't like to lie, especially to Sevanni. Besides, he'd catch the lie easily. He sighed, he mine as well get it done and over with, he decided to start with something easy to talk about first "I love living with you. Being here.. I feel like I'm home. I feel.. protected. That's something I'm not use to feeling either considering I'm usually the one trying to protect everyone else," there was a small smile, almost nervous, another uncommon emotion for him, "And I don't ever want to leave, however," His words were a little more slow then usual, more thoughtful, "I don't want to be kept a secret anymore." There, he said it. That wasn't all that was bothering him, but it was certainly the main problem. "I didn't mind being a secret at first. In fact I liked it, but now.. I don't know, it just feels wrong to me. I don't like it." He didn't really know why they'd kept it a secret for so long anyway, by now everyone had to suspect something was going on, right? And even if they didn't Shaden really didn't give a damn. If they don't like, then they could go to hell for all he cared. He was use to prejudice, and homophobic people, they didn't bother him. They just didn't know what they were missing. Though he really didn't understand how they could hate something they'd never even tried. There was something else he wanted to discuss with him, but for now he was satisfied with what he'd already told him. The other thing could wait for just a little bit longer.

[atrb=width,415,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] It was normal for Sevanni to bounce around from person to person within the household. Everyone who was carried within the walls by the house were special to Sevanni. This meant the prisoners, slaves, servants, fledgelings, and the children. They were chosen for a reason, and accepted for the very same.
When he spent time with Imogine, it had been because she was like his child, and it was his duty and privilage to take care of her as such. The rebels, because they were important to the cause. To show the world mutts were tame-able.
The women were to each their own. Beautiful in their own way, and special in his heart for a reason. But Shaden...Shaden was special to him because he had once been an enemy, a new found friend, and someone he could be connected to. He was a rarity of the few who could connect with Sevanni on all sorts of levels.
I love living with you. Being here.. I feel like I'm home." He felt a sigh of relief. It seemed as if there was something burning within him, but eventually there was a reasoning of silence that told Sevanni there was trouble beyond the words currently lifting from those lips he loved to kiss but hadn't just yet that evening.
"I feel.. protected. That's something I'm not use to feeling either considering I'm usually the one trying to protect everyone else," In actuality, Sevanni had been that very way for quite some time. It was why his relationships hadn't worked out quite well, but recently he was able to connect more with those around him and learn how to trust those underneath him.
"And I don't ever want to leave, however," He knew it was coming. The hint of it in his tone rang out in Sevanni's ears, he just couldn't take the suspense of not being one of the crows on the fence with listening ears. "I don't want to be kept a secret anymore." And just like that, it was out.
From Shaden's lips he could read that it hurt him a little. If a vampire could feel, their were still human even if in thought. Portions of their souls still clinging on to cold flesh. Sevanni had feelings all right, he just chose not to show them to everyone. His father always told him it was the way to your end. He was right thus far.
I didn't mind being a secret at first. In fact I liked it, but now.. I don't know, it just feels wrong to me. I don't like it." For a moment, a well rested moment, Sevanni had gently squeezed Shaden's hand with his own. His assurance was high with this, simply because it was so simple. An exchange of understanding. He'd be the first to know everything. The girls had no idea of his expectations, Darien didn't even know yet, and Sevanni confided in him more than he did his advisor Cree.
"Oh Shaden." It was let out in a soft saddened way, only it was simply some emotion that came through without his permission. He urged him to turn toward him. He could view his handsome face and see those eyes that reminded him of endless wonders. Made him wonder what went on his that mind of his. Every thought a mystery.
"I did not keep you, us, a secret because I am ashamed of what we are or do...." It was something he hadn't done completely with a man. Shaden had been to places with Sevanni others alike would crave. A kiss here and there, but nothing what like they had went through.
A sigh was released, though it was a relief to let it out once and for all. "If it is us you want out in the open I can give that to you." Sevanni refused to give up Shaden. "I would do a lot for you." Kill, torture, it didn't matter. He was Greedy and what he wanted was what he wanted, be it taken with force or not.
Another breath was released. "But..." He started as he lowered his eyes away from Shaden's. "You would have to accept the fact that I am with others. Even if it means....." Even it was hard to accept. It was tradition, he was not only next in line, but he loved more than one. It was the perfect beginning to his brothers end.
"If I marry a woman, or many women, I will never exclude you, nor would I want you to leave my life." He continued on to a close. He was hoping Shaden would understand. Even if it meant he had to treat him like Nora and put him in a box somewhere in the basement. Not that he was a nut job, but Sevanni didn't lose things that belonged to him. Shaden's blood belonged to him because he made it so. He marked him, and Sevanni would keep him in that grasp forever.
"But I've decided on that........and.......I've decided to take three. For now.......and I want them to know about you. I don't care what they think......" But Shaden already knew that. He should have if Sevanni was willing to tell them. But one had to wonder who the third was.
Emiste. Simple. Anyone could see that Emiste and Sevanni were meant for one another. They were both horrible people who made evil magic together, and his heart was tangled in her web. Joyfully so.
Phoenix. Sevanni had chased her for a very long time, and seeing as how he was able to make her into a vampire. Sanctify her soul with his own rancid evil. It was her that saved him in the end, and it told him that she cared about him. Even if it killed her to admit it. She cared.
But it was the third no one would think of. "You are the very first to know. The only soul." For now. Until the others were called together and all was discussed. With the possibility of a new child in the house for permanent, everything was starting to get exciting. This was the cherry on top.
But what else was in store for the night?

[atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000]
"Oh Shaden." He wasn't so sure liked the sound of that, hell if he didn't know any better he'd say it sounded a little sad. Maybe he needed more time before he told people. Maybe he should have waited a while longer before asking. Shaden had started to say something, tell him that he changed his mind, that they didn't need to tell anyone yet, but Sevanni had urged him to turn toward him, which he of course complied with almost instantaneously. He looked at him, hoping to see something that might tell him how he would respond, though at this point he found himself feeling a more then a little hopeful. Had Sevanni wanted to wait, he probably would have told him by now. Plus, it seemed that Sevanni hardly denied him anything, unless of course what he wanted was completely unreasonable.
"I did not keep you, us, a secret because I am ashamed of what we are or do...." That surprised him, not the part about him being unashamed, but the fact that Sevanni had just sort called himself bisexual without actually using that word. Though most men can never really stay in the middle, like Shaden. He liked women, however, he'd always lean more toward men simply because that was how he was born, and Sevanni would always lean more toward women. But he didn't have a problem with that, hell if it wasn't for Sevanni they most likely wouldn't even be together.
"If it is us you want out in the open I can give that to you." He smiled, he couldn't help it, but he waited to say anything because he knew there was more. Nothing was ever that easy, there was always a price or condition. Fine. He'd deal with anything. "I would do a lot for you." He bit down on his bottom lip to keep himself from saying what he wanted to. He wanted to tell him that he'd do a lot for him too, that he'd do almost anything for him, all he had to do is ask and he'd have everything but his unconditional obedience, and maybe even that if he added a small 'please' at the end of his request.
"But..." And there it was. He hated the way he stopped. Hated that he'd lowered his eyes away from his. Was it that bad? "You would have to accept the fact that I am with others. Even if it means....." He felt a little nervous all of a sudden. What could be so bad that continued to stop in the middle of his sentences. "Even if it means what?" His voice was soft, just a whisper. He con tined to watch him, waiting for him to get it over with so Shaden could finally know what the hell he was talking about.
"If I marry a woman, or many women, I will never exclude you, nor would I want you to leave my life." He wasn't prepared for that. He'd expected something small, something easily dealt with, but marriage? Sevanni was.. going to get married? It was like his brain was on repeat, and each time not understanding.
"But I've decided on that........and.......I've decided to take three. For now.......and I want them to know about you. I don't care what they think......" Three?! Why in the hell would anyone want three wives. Was he going insane or something? Though of course he knew he wasn't. Sevanni's mental state was perfectly fine. There was deep breath, air being pulled through parted lips, and then a slow release. "Well, I guess that means your braver then I am. I've never even been married once, and you want to marry three." His tone was playful, and his smile was sincere, and not at all forced. It wasn't that he didn't like the idea of Sevanni getting married, it was just so unexpected. "I'm actually.. kind of happy for you." His smile widened a little.
"You are the very first to know. The only soul." The first to know, it felt so good hearing that. He loved that Sevanni confided in him so much, that he cared and trusted him enough to tell him things before anyone else. "Thank you, Sevanni." It was more then for just this, that thank you was for everything. The way Sevanni treated him, cared for him, gave him what he wanted. He sometimes thought of himself as a spoiled kid, and maybe he was a little, but he was so grateful for everything. For every moment he got to spend with him. "And now I have three questions for you... no, make that two questions and one request." He'd start with the request because he figured they'd both enjoy it
"I want you to kiss me." He didn't know what possessed him to make a simple request for something he very easily could have done without saying anything at all. And after he got what he wanted he moved on to the questions.
"So, who are you going to marry? Obviously Phoenix, but I'm not sure about the other two..." Shaden was perfectly find with Sevanni getting married, however, that didn't mean he was completely comfortable with whom he married. He didn't like Phoenix living there let alone being married to Sevanni. He didn't even like that she was a vampire now. For so long she'd been this cute mutt that he'd wanted dead but just couldn't bring himself to kill because he'd cared too much for her. He hadn't even been able to kill her when she asked him too. She had wanted to die, wanted it all to end and he still couldn't kill her. Though he wished he had. It would have been better then seeing her become a vampire.
He also had another idea as to who Sevanni planned on marrying. Emiste. It was the only other obvious choice, but of course he wasn't sure. He didn't like or dislike her. He didn't know her well enough to have any sort of feelings for her.
"And for my final question..." A slight pause, and his eyes lowered just a little "So what would you have done if I had said I didn't want you to get married and then told you that I was going to leave.. would you have let me go?" It was an odd question. Shaden didn't normally ask things like that but for whatever reason, he was curious. He knew Sevanni wasn't a fan of losing anything that belonged to him, and Shaden was part of that contently growing collocation. But would he have forced him to stay? He wanted the truth, but in end it really didn't matter what he would have done. This was only to satisfy is curiosity and nothing more.

[atrb=width,415,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] It was good look for him. Biting on his lip. Many mortals did it, even Sevanni had done it quite often from time to time, but to see it on Shaden, yes, it worked for him.
"Well, I guess that means your braver then I am. I've never even been married once, and you want to marry three." Sevanni had let out a low chuckle. Breathy.
"Yes....I suppose I am." Another breathy chuckle had concluded his actions, bringing it down to a exhale. Sevanni had told Shaden he was the first to know, and he was, but...."I do everything for a reson." Maybe he felt a slight distaste from Shaden toward such an affirmation, however, in truth, everything he did happened for a reason.
Jeremiah had his three wives for a purpose, but once his purpose had come to light, he wasn't ready and he failed. It was Sevanni's turn.
He'd keep the dreams to himself for now.
"And now I have three questions for you... no, make that two questions and one request." Sevanni sat up some so that he was resting on his arm. His hand rested along his own length.
Perhaps he was expecting Shaden to bring company for a good period of time. Maybe he wanted to leave for a while. He'd be safe of course, but he'd be far.
A head nod was given.
"I want you to kiss me." A smile was accompanied by a release of air. The first was simple. Easy. He had wanted to taste those lips for quite some time. Often he found himself thinking of Shaden, or feeling him through their bond. But to have him in the flesh? That was a whole other ball park in it's self.
Sevanni had leaned in with grace to Grace and placed lips near his before actually letting them touch. When they had, Sevanni had felt a sort of relief. as if his thoughts were saying 'it's about fucking time.' and it was.
Enjoyable indeed.
"And..." To start him off after their lips departed. Kissing Shaden was like losing your breath at the top of a cold mountain, and the only way you could get it back was for a moment of concentrating on actually breathing.
"So, who are you going to marry? Obviously Phoenix, but I'm not sure about the other two..."
Phoenix was an obvious choice. For years he had spent tunneling behind her in the cat and mouse game he played with many of his female victims, but the love between her and Tarus had tortured him and he couldn't understand why.
It was brought to light not too long before Sevanni finally took Tarus one last time. Fake chopped his finger off and placed his band on it before giving it personally to Nixie. He had to see her break to be sure. But it had touched him, and Sevanni had no choice but to act on his mortal feelings.
"Yes." Sevanni began with a nod. "Phoenix is one I had intended on asking." Whether or not she said yes was something that scared him more than anything.
"Emiste is the other." Of course. He was grateful to not have married her Mistress, because then she wouldn't be a consideration. It was bad enough the twins were rebel bound of Sevanni and faultered to Damien in order to kidnap Helena, but he knew all along that he shouldn't have taken them. But he had to give up Dae and Nite with no choice. He missed them more than they could imagine.
"She will be my first wife. She's the one I've needed from the beginning." Which was true. If Sevanni had married Emiste before Sindel, Damien would be a beast, and the mortal race would have knelt at their blood bound toes til this day. But then he wouldn't have had a relationship with Shaden as he did now, and everything he had experienced wouldn't have happened.
Everything happens for a reason.
"I can't say who the third is until I'm absolutely sure." He had to admit, it was a tough choice as to whether or not to ask, but it wasn't the right time yet. Not just yet.
He'd leave it at that.
"And for my final question..." His eyes drew down for a moment until after Shaden had asked He wasn't sure if it was good or bad.
"So what would you have done if I had said I didn't want you to get married and then told you that I was going to leave.. would you have let me go?" Ah yes, the what if?
Sevanni took a moment before answering Shaden's question.
"Yes" He had to tell the truth even if Shaden didn't like it
He had to finish.
"I would only let you go because......." Maybe he wanted to say I love you, or I care about you. Not keep him caged up like a prisoner. "Because it's better then the alternative." Which was.....being a prisoner in a glass box as some trophy.
"You would never leave me. Just as I would never leave you." Sevanni's hand rolled over Shaden's stomach. "I've tasted your blood, just as you have mine......but......I would hope that isn't the case. I would prefer it if I didn't lose you."
But.....was that why this was happening? Did Shaden want to leave Sevanni? It was horrible to think of, which made his dead brain want to release blood through tear ducts and not care if he was being vulnerable. With his loved ones, he was always more......more human with them.
"I think that it was you who had a problem......" Shaden had something to get off his chest and Sevanni didn't mind helping with lending an ear.

He was very glad he'd asked for a kiss. It never mattered how long the kiss was or how passionate, there was always this odd feeling when their lips touched, something like an electric current running unrestrained throughout his body. It was a wonderful feeling. And then he'd asked his questions. It was his nature to want to know everything that was going on, especially when it came to Sevanni. He simply had to know every detail he could get whether he was happy with the answers he got didn't matter, the point was, he knew. The answer to the first question was more or less a very simple answer. Sevanni noted that he intended on asking Phoenix but made no comment on how soon that would be. Which was perfectly fine, after all that was a bit more privet, and he actually didn't want to know when he planned on asking her. "Emiste is the other." So he had been correct to think she would be his wife. The confirmation of his own thoughts didn't bother him. He certainly wasn't planning on talking with her much, but of course he rarely communicated with anyone within the household. He much more preferred to keep to himself. Although he did like Darien a little, however he'd absolutely never admit that to anyone. "She will be my first wife. She's the one I've needed from the beginning." The one he'd needed from the beginning? Really? It sounded ridiculous to him, but he'd never been married, so maybe he just didn't understand what the hell he was talking about. Shaden had a difficult time understanding why people got married. Did they really need rings to prove how much they loved one another? Now it wasn't as if the thought of marriage had never crossed his mind because it had once or twice, but acting on those thoughts was something he'd never done, and doubted he ever would for fear of being rejected. "I can't say who the third is until I'm absolutely sure." Well that was no help. Hell the reason he'd asked anyway was to find out who the third would be. He'd already known the first, and the second, it was the last one he didn't know. Not even a hint or any kind of idea what so ever. There was a brief moment when he actually considered begging a little, but Sevanni had to have some idea, and all Shaden wanted was a name, or a more he could tell him if it was someone he knew or not. But in the end he decided against. He didn't beg. At least not very often, and he wasn't going to over something like this. And then there was his second and final question.. This was something he wanted to know more then the names of those Sevanni planning on marrying. It was more important then Shaden's problem with Phoenix and Sevanni being together. He'd asked out of curiosity, but there was more to it then that. There was always another reason. "Yes" That sounded promising, but he needed more then just a one word answer, he wouldn't accept it. "I would only let you go because......." Because why? He really needed to start finishing his sentences instead of prolonging them, "Because it's better then the alternative." That was an interesting answer. He knew the alternative was being placed in a glass box like a trophy on display or something. Which he probably wouldn't have been too upset about if the box was large enough. After a few days he might not have been too thrilled though. "You would never leave me. Just as I would never leave you." Never? Was he that sure of Shaden to think that he'd never want to leave him? Sevanni's hand moved over his stomach, and his eyes had lowered for a second to glance down at his hand, and then on the way back up to look at him, his eyes had moved slowly along Sevanni's body feeling an urge to reach out and touch him, but instead bit down on his lip again and resisted the urge. "I've tasted your blood, just as you have mine......but......I would hope that isn't the case. I would prefer it if I didn't lose you." Sevanni would prefer if he didn't lose him. The corner or his lips turned up just slightly, and then he took a breath, "That was...unexpected." A pause before moving on to the explanation as to why it was unexpected. "When I asked you if you would let me go, I had been almost certain I knew what your answer would be, however, you've surprised me. I didn't expect to hear that you'd actually let me go. I assumed you'd tell me that you wouldn't have let me leave, and I think I was almost hoping to hear that from you because its who you are. You don't like losing whats yours." He smiled, it wasn't everyday he was freely admitting out loud to being someones property, and if any of his old friends had heard him saying something like that they wouldn't have believed it, they wouldn't even know him. "But I liked your answer, it was much better then what I had thought you would say." "I think that it was you who had a problem......" A problem with what? Phoenix? How the hell did he even know if he had a problem or not? It didn't matter though, because he wasn't going to talk about it. After the answer he had given him, nothing else seemed important enough to even bother discussing, it was simply no longer necessary. "Sevanni...I don't want to talk about it." He said it almost reluctantly, not wanting to upset him at all, but he really didn't feel like talking about it, "I'll get over it eventually. There's no reason to bother you with my problem." He sighed, he knew what he wanted to say, he'd been wanting to say it for awhile, but every time he tried he got too nervous and stopped himself. But now he was determined, plus, it would probably make up for not wanting to talk about his problem. He hesitantly moved his arm to hold him around his waist, "There's...something I've wanted to tell you for a while now, I've just been too nervous to say it." And even at that moment he was still more then a little nervous. His head moved closer to his, and his lips just lightly brushed across his, teasing himself, wanting to kiss him but knowing he had to say this before he backed out again. His lips then trailed along his jaw, moving toward his ear, he paused there, and took a calming breaths before he spoke, "I love you." It was only after he said it that he finally realized why he was so nervous about saying. He didn't know if Sevanni would say it back. He cared about him, but did he love him? He leaned away from him, but kept his head down, eyes averted away from Sevanni while he anxiously waited for some kind of response. ------------------------------- Sorry if its a little bad. I didn't have much muse, I think it got a little better toward the end, but the beginning isn't too good. Sorry.. again.
