[atrb=width,415,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] So he said he wouldn't come back to New York. So he said that he was finished in New York. New York was his home. It had been for the past twenty-five years, and prior to that in the past it had been his home for thirty-three. When New York was first constructed, Sevanni was there in it's great wonderous birth. When France gave America Lady Liberty, and he was there when the towers were brought back to Mother Natures toes.
Currently Damien had control of Sevanni's past assets, little did he know it came with some restrictions. Those restrictions have been breached, and now Sevanni was coming to collect.
Damien was Sindel's son. A natural born son through birth, contrived of Vampire blood in order to pass him over in birth. an experiment that Sevanni tested out on her when the child was in the womb. When he was born, and every night thereafter.
He was reckless. He provoked, and he insisted in pissing off his father. Oh to an heir that the King truly dislikes. It was a story by William S. himself. A tale of woe that Poe would have enjoyed reading, and enjoyed clapping at in the end.
The doors were solid wood. Doubled with brass hinging, took two people, one for each side, simply to open it. Both were pushed in by two strong hands using little power of his own. He could see Damien's facial expression at the turn of his head, and instantly, as well as while Sevanni too approach with oncoming steps.
"Father.... to what do I owe the displeasure?"
Sevanni figured that Damien didn't know that he knew about Helena's abduction. She was let free and unharmed. Perhaps some form of a mental grievance, but untouched nonetheless.
"Sit."
Sevanni spoke firmly and Damien sat. For one of the very few times he had actually listened to him, for it was Damien who believed Sevanni would never return to New York.
"You're out." He said simply as he approached. His two twin reds vanishing on Damien's cue, rushing away against the wall with worry of loss for their keeper.
"What are you talking about? You have no right!" He asked at first, but then his tone firmed up after having realized that he was the one still in charge.
It took quite a while to get it pounded into his head. He'd head to Jeremiah's estate and be with the three wives. He'd pay for his crime there and the women would handle him well. The reds taken away and put somewhere special for Damien's return.
In the end Damien was still a child who disobeyed his parent, and ended up getting punished anyway.
"Now." He started as he laid eyes to Marcus and Annaliah. "Let's have some fun." This snickering grin on his face proved most fun when the couple replied back in a rather amusing and fun way. The lady did like their kind of fun, and Marcus; Marcus just wanted to do something with her, so long as they were together.
"Has she been brought downstairs?" The pair nodded but it was Annaliah who had replied verbally.
"She's been prepped. No doubt awake now." But the way she spoke, in that accent. Marcus was a lucky man.
"Good. Why don't you two go enjoy the city. I can finish up here." Everyone on Damien's force had been dispensed from the house and Sevanni's people were brought back in.
Imogine was somewhere in the city with the Rebels out there looking for her. She'd be found in a matter of hours, and then it was off to make sure everything was running on time as planned. A grand opening deserved one hell of a party. And then the change that would change everything. But not after gaining the child of one Katra Maguire. Oh how the bells tolled for that precious little girl. She'd be a great accent to the family.
Her hair was different. Sevanni hated blondes. Red heads and Brunette's were what he liked the most. The only two females he could deal with that had blonde hair was Ixandra and Imogine, but they had no affect on Sevanni as this one.
Ali Shadings......oh yes....Ali Ambrose.
Pitiful really. Sevanni never should have allowed that bastard to be turned mortal for the likes of her. Eventually she'd come to her senses. Just like the rest of them. If he was lucky he would have grabbed the opportunity to snatch Katra as well as Victor.
But all things came to those who waited, and it had been long enough.
A whistle emerged from lips that were licked at the site of her. It was a clean white room, the very same room Phoenix had received her metal lashings in. He hovered over her now, letting the fingertips of his right hand move loose strands from the side of her forehead back.
"Welcome back." A sinister grin formed on his mouth. "I've missed you." He missed her all right. He missed trying to make her scream. Her tight mouth keeping every fucking thing he needed inside. He could break the others, hard, yes, but this one.....oh she was a great game.
"Now....a cat usually has nine lives......I wonder how many you have." And she would wonder what she was doing here when Victor had a pact with Sevanni. Well, there were those little loopholes that were found.
"Your husband is a genius." He whispered with such pride. "He has this dumb little way of giving me gifts, and not even realizing it." And just as Sevanni figured, he wouldn't see it coming. Sevanni himself had missed it, but it was for a bright little creature that helped him realize it.

[atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] Blinking her eyes open, she let a small groan escape her pale lips. It took a moment for her eyes to focus and let her see the surroundings around her, but when she did, she didnt like it at all. The room was white, as white as can be. The kind of white that if you sat there long enough and stared at it, you would start to see spots because it was so bright. But it wasnt the color itself that made her frightened. It was the room. The entire thing added together. She had been in this room a few times. And each time that she had been in here, was not a good reason. But this room belonged to none other, then the infamous Sevanni Black. It was one of his torture rooms. And boy did he love making use of it. Every time she breathed in, she could smell the slight after smell of blood and of course, antiseptic to try and clean up what ever victims blood had spilled on his floor. Pity that.
Sighing, she closed her chocolate brown eyes again, letting it all sink in once more. If she was in one of Sevanni's rooms then she must be in Sevanni's home. And if she was in Sevanni's home, she must have been kidnapped by one of his lackeys or one of the people that were terribly devoted to him. Now there was only a few questions left. Was she at his place in New York, or Italy? Hadnt the great Sevanni told people that he wasnt going to come back to New York? That he was finished with it? But this room held too many familiar scents, and so she concluded she must be in New York. The big question, was WHY was she here in his place? Didnt Vic's contract and deal with Sevanni make it so he wasnt able to touch her? So they were both safe? And if the deal broke on one of the agreements, wouldnt he have gone after Victor first and not her?
Frantically going through her mind, she tried to find a time where she might have violated the contract and he would be allowed to seek her out and capture her. It was obvious that there was no love lost between the two of them. They despised each other and wanted the other dead. And they did what ever they could do in their power to make sure they made the other persons life miserable. Like with Ali and her blonde hair. She knew that Sevanni held a deep rooted hate for girls with blonde hair and only had a soft spot for a certain few blondes. Her natural hair color was a lovely, dark brunette, but she had gone to a stylist and asked them to make it blonde. And blonde she had stayed since then. Knowing it would irke Sevanni if she ever ended up in this sort of situation again. Somewhere deep in her mind, she knew they would end up at each others throats once more. It was a game of cat and mouse that never ended.
Tugging lightly at the restraints she let out a frustrated growl and then let her head lay back against the table that she was strapped to. Restraints meant he was going to play the normal torture game with her. But didnt he know by now that she didnt make a peep? That she would never scream for him no matter how many times he cut into her with those pretty little knives and scalpels and torture devices he owned. She had recently discovered that she couldnt feel any pain at all. It was like the pain receptors in her mind and body had been turned off. She couldnt even feel the slight buzz of pain. It was a neat little trick and also a dangerous trick since she couldnt ever tell just how hurt she really was. But there was no doubt in her mind that she would be tortured beyond the max here in this hell house. Every visit she ever made had been a bad one and of course had just fueled the fires of hate between the two even more.
Keeping her eyes closed, she tried to recall back to what had happened. And how she had ended up here. She remembered that she was supposed to meet one of Rose's coven members at a restaurant that was not too far from the hotel she had booked for herself. The meeting was supposed to be about possibly moving the coven from London, to New York. The space wasnt being used, seeing as the New York werewolf pack was nearly extinct and no one had heard from them in ages, and Sevanni was no longer using the area. You didnt step on another vampires toes, but the thought of snatching up Sevanni's land had been intriguing to Rose and so she sent Ali in her place. Sometimes being the second command to Rose was tiring, because she sent her running around all the time. But she wouldnt have it any other way. Not to mention, she had missed New York and wanted to take a visit soon anyhow. It had been a two for one deal.
She had met with the coven member and they had discussed things over and she told him she would take the information back to Rose and let her have the final say. Leaving the restaurant, she took a small detour and instead of going to the hotel like she was supposed to, she had gone to the park. The evening air was crisp and cool and the stars were bright above. The park had been empty, void of people and sound. That probably should have been her first clue that something was wrong. But she had continued to walk, and follow the curving paths until a scent of vampire hit her nose. Ali had barely had time to move when the other vampire jumped out at her and then covered her mouth and nose with a cloth and some form of chemical that made her eyes droop. Too late she realized that she was in trouble and too late her desperate attempts at fighting started up. Only seconds later, her world went black and then she wound up here.
"Lovely...I would end up here wouldnt I?" She growled out softly and then her brown eyes shot open the instant she heard the low whistle. "Well well well. And what do I owe this grievance to?" She asked him, her pretty eyes narrowed and glaring at him. Her voice which was normally so sweet and kind, was harsh and hostile towards him. Its all he deserved after all. When he came over to hover above her, her glare just increased and then she growled and tried snapping at his hand when he brushed away a strand of hair from her forehead. "Dont touch me. You repulse me." She snarled at him. Which was a true fact, she hated it when he touched her with gentle things like that. Gentle acts that were normally saved for affection was not something you normally associated with Sevanni and so when ever he did so, it creeped her out as well as pissing her off. The gesture was a little too familiar to what Victor did for her.
At his words though, she rolled her eyes and sighed. "Welcome back? Really? What really makes you think Im welcomed here. Lets not beat around the bush. You only ever bring me here so you can torture me and try to make me scream. Im telling you now, its not going to happen. Oh and Im sure you missed me. You missed our game of cat and mouse. The ever constant bickering that has thrown us into a whirlpool of hate and revenge. Did I leave anything out?" Yes she was being sarcastic and not at all like her normal nature, but Sevanni was somehow able to bring the worst of her out. The side that was sarcastic and mean and loved to make him flinch and piss him off when she could. That other side of her THRIVED on watching Sev get angry. The normally sweet side of her was able to be pushed back and shoved aside for the time being. To survive this, she couldnt be the sweet her, she needed to be the girl that had been trained to be an assassin.
The analogy with the cat didnt even make her blink. She didnt think the comment owed a response. He knew just as well as her that a vampire only had one life once you killed them. Really killed them in a way that they couldnt heal from it. So the nine lives made no sense. Was he planning on killing her finally? It wouldnt surprise her. She was on his list after all and they had been trying to rid the world of the other being for quite some time now. In a way, it made the life of the underworld, amusing. Then again, it had been nice to not have to watch her back on every turn and to not think someone was after her. It was nice to just stay with her husband and be a happy married couple. Thinking of her marriage made her think of Vic. He was going to be so worried when she didnt arrive home when she was supposed to. He always hated it when she went out on her own and away from him where he couldnt protect her. But she had always told him she would be fine. And until recently, her words had held true.
"Dont insult my husband." She growled at him, phasing back into the conversation when he spoke back up again. Insulting Victor made her even more angry at him. But she was curious about his words. A gift huh? And what gift was that? Was it the gift of her all strapped up and tied down like a sacrifice for him here on this table? Was it the fact that he was going to kill her the gift? "And what gift is that? Me? Because he never handed me over to you. Which brings up another interesting point. You arent supposed to touch me. No kidnapping and no torturing allowed. I think this sort of breaks the rules of the contract mister Sevi." She told him, batting her eyelashes and trying to play off an innocent face before she glared at him again.
----------------------------------------------- The count is: 1762 words and Ali would like for your to know: She is so pissed at the moment xD haha

"Dont touch me. You repulse me." Good to know he still had that effect on her. He wouldn't have it any other way. Or would he? GREED was in his blood so it was only natural for him to love the ladies. It was always the ones who hated him in the beginning. At least now he was content with what he had. Yes. For now.
"Everything." He hushed out into her face to where his breath would mash her face. It came after wanting to know if she left anything out.
This time was different.
"Don't you see?" He was so curious as to whether or not she would freak out in the end if she knew the truth. And so, Sevanni broke it down to her.
It was late in the study when he found Cree at his desk. Cree looked over everything that Sevanni had in writing and in type as well. She only did it because she was so beyond help when it came to him, that he simply let her do whatever.
"Sir. This is wrong."
Sevanni looked it over. Her finger pointing at the last name. It was different. Wrong. Sevanni only knew Ali to be a Shadings, but at the time, the two were not married, and thus her name now meant nothing to him. She was an Ambrose? And the paper clearly stated Shadings. Well. This was something worth playing with.
"So you see Mrs. Ambrose." It killed him to no avail to even say that. "The terms are null and void. You aren't a Shadings anymore." And it had drained him so much to be happy just for this smile he slowly let peel over his face.
He chuckled. Laughed even. Had Ali ever seen him laugh before? Sure some had seen him smile, smirk. But laugh with utter glee? Oh this was a rare moment. Especially in the eyes of an enemy.
"Oh wait....wait this is the best part."
He slid away from her. This was something he was quite proud of. Something that even he couldn't have thought of himself. Sevanni vanished from her sight, only to return with a special little package.
It was the loss of his favorite pet that drove him mad. It was the fact that this bitch had snitched and told a tale that had been warned not to tell. He would finally see some pain in Ali's eyes if it was the last thing he could do.
"I couldn't......get to you with knives and words...." He started as he stayed out of sight, his grasps on the blonde who stuck in his paw like a sharp thorn. "But I think this......" He gave a tug on the woman. She'd not escape. She hadn't thus far. She wouldn't now. Not if he could help it.
"I think you're gunna love this."
Without a seconds thought, Sevanni pulled Inora in by bound wrists. He kept her shackled tight with ankle shackles, and metal adorned her wrists. After all, it was an outing, and she was still a foul little mutt he had strove to break.
Sevanni pushed her forward so that she would nearly fall atop Ali who still lay on the surgical table. Blonde meets blonde, and the two friends were now in his clutches. But would Inora encourage Ali to break down and talk? Would she make so much as a peep?
"You two know each other don't you?" It was like a big reunion. "Yes.....I believe you do." Such a prick that man. Tonight was play night, and he was having one hell of a fucking time.
Sevanni wanted to see the expressions on their faces. The second in command meets the bitch who tattled. What he did was horrible, he could admit to that, but he wasn't himself then. His spirit had been forced out and everything that held common sense had left with it. It had been Phoenix who knocked him back to sanity. If it wasn't for her going to Annaliah, he'd still be trapped in that coffin this very evening.
He stood back to watch. He needed to know what the odds of his success were. If he had a chance to get what it was he needed out of Ali. Inora...she was another story.
Having to go toe to toe with her in that house. Breaking her down a smidgen in that elevator.....but driving into her with so much hurt and torment recently had really drove him with excitement. She was broken more so than when he hurt her. More so than when she first arrived to be pushed down in front of him by Marcus and his new associate. To see her face and hear her voice with each lashing. Oh it was such fun. Like early Christmas, only better because his birthday was on Christmas. Double the fun tonight.
He'd coax Inora into betting her out. Help her see that there was no other way, and that she'd been witness to his very words. "Show her." He'd make her do it. He'd make her show Ali every single scar he'd given her. The defeat on her face that would show when it came to showing her friend. It would hopefully make Ali mad. Make her want to talk. All his chips in this hand was riding on Inora.

[atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] Some things are worse than death, if anyone knew that it was Inora. For months now she had been considered “dead” to the rest of the world, only a select few knew the truth. And those months, oh how she wished for every minute of those months that she was dead. When she’d been taken, she’d thought that it was over, that he would kill her and that would be the end. If only, if only that had happened, it would have been infinitely preferable to what had befallen her. It had been such a simple thing that had caused this. One word spoken to her friend, a single name falling from between her lips. They’d said they could protect her, sworn that they would, and she had believed them like the naïve idiot that she used to be. She’d honestly thought that she was safe.
A world in which Sevanni Black lived was never safe. She knew that now.
So instead of being careful, like she should have, she’d placed entirely too much faith in her friends and their strength. She’d been walking alone on a darkened street at night, in the warehouse district of New Orleans. If it hadn’t been Sevanni’s men, it would surely have been someone else. She knew that she was entirely to blame for what her life had become. It was what had really broken her, the knowledge that it was her own idiocy, her outlook on life that had brought her here. She was too trusting, she was too optimistic, she was too stupid for her own good. Sev’s torture served to beat that into her until she had no doubts at all about it. She had to make changes.
She’d been kept isolated and shackled, treated like the mutt that Sevanni thought she was, she’d never hated being a wolf so much, if she’d still been human she would have been blissfully dead in minutes. The tortures she’d seen, they were made even worse by the constant reliving of them every night in her dreams. Her nightmares. She would never sleep well again in her life. She longed for the comfort of her friends, longed for the soft touch of her husband. They were all out there, thinking her dead. No one would come for her. Eventually Sevanni would tire of playing with her, she would outlive her usefulness as entertainment and she would be killed. Or she would break completely and turn into one of his mindless pets. That option scared her most of all, and it was that thought that had caused her to turn feral.
These past few weeks she’d done her best to fight back. Her responses, when she gave them, became caustic and sharp. She wanted nothing more than to goad him into killing her, for she knew she could never escape. She never even attempted it. Inora, despite her training with Vic and her numerous friends with fighting experience, would never be a warrior. The best she could hope for was to get killed with the dignity of knowing she didn’t cooperate. She didn’t just give in.
This day was different from the others, something was brewing. She could sense excitement humming from every inch of this place. Sevanni had found a new toy. She almost felt relief, thinking maybe he would leave her alone, but then it dawned on her that half the people on his list were her friends. When she was removed from her usual room she felt dread flow through her veins. What could he possibly want with her? It couldn’t be good.
When they’d approached the white torture chamber, Inora had kicked and clawed at those handling her as best she could with her hands and feet shackled. It had done no good and she’d eventually been chained to the wall and left there to languish. She couldn’t sit or kneel, she was forced to stand and wait, wondering what terrors waited in that room for her.
And then Sev had come out to retrieve her. She’d wanted to kick and scream at him, but she knew better by now. No point in coaxing Sev, he wouldn’t lose control with her. So she’d simply pulled away as much as she could while he’d pulled her by her chains, trying to get away but making no sound. His words were causing her panic. He couldn’t get to who with knives and words…who was gonna love this? Please god don’t let it be what she thought.
With one final yank Inora was forced into the white room and met with her worst nightmare. Ali lay on that table, the one she was so familiar with. Tears filled Inora’s eyes at the sight, not Ali. Not her best friend. She didn’t want to be used like this. No longer thinking of herself at all, Inora tried like hell to escape the room. She didn’t want to be Ali’s kryptonite but she knew she was. With her in his grasp, Sevanni could do whatever he wanted to Ali. But her struggles did no good and Inora was pushed into her friend. She braced her hands as best she could against the table, trying to regain her footing.
Her tears fell onto the surgical table, leaving tiny splashes, her blue eyes stared in sorrow at her friend. “Oh Ali..I’m so sorry.” She barely whispered, her voice scratchy and hoarse from a mixture of misuse and neglect. She rarely spoke, and when she did it was usually to scream. Inora was not like Ali, if you cut her she screamed, she wasn’t strong and she wasn’t brave. And now she was going to be used to hurt her friend. It cut her to the bone. She hated Sevanni for this, hated him with such a passion it frightened her, she’d never hated anyone before. Not really, she’d barely ever even disliked someone. But Sevanni called up every bad part of her that existed, he made her want to be bad, if only so she could take his head off and grind him into nothingness. Sevanni alone could make Inora long for her wolf to go crazy, could make her want to kill.
“You’re a sick bastard Sevanni Black. Ali..don’t..don’t give him anything he wants. Just let him kill me. It’s better that way.” Inora took her friends hand in her own and pleaded with her, the tears still falling. This reunion should have been a happy one. Two great friends separated for so long. But it was filled with pain. And it was all his fault. Inora turned to him and slowly raised her middle finger to him. She’d never made such a gesture before in her life. She’d rarely cursed before. And yet… “Fuck you Sevanni. I won’t let you use me against her.” She broke out into coughs, making herself look even more pathetic but she set her shoulders angrily and straightened to look at him. She wouldn’t show Ali shit if she could help it. She’d rather die.
----------------------------------------------- Word Count: 1,163 Notes: Mmmk, so new Inora might take some tweaking but there you have her.

[atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] Ali could recall the very first time she had ever met Sevanni Black. She was young, and naive and thought the world was a better place then it was. That everyone had a little good in them. She had been blind to see that not everything was good and not everyone had some good in them. Some people were just so broken and so beaten down, or just purely evil, that there was no drop of good in them. And even if there had been, that small drop had been kicked out of them like an abused dog gets kicked by its owner. The other shoe had dropped when she first came face to face with Sevanni. She had only heard about him vaguely, hearing rumors about his cruel ways and how he went about getting what he wanted. She should have known he would go after her. She was a spy for the good side after all. A spy that was a little too good at her job. Having had assassin training when she was younger and hell, still being in the assassin program when she was helping out, made it easy for her. She had acquired some information that Sevanni wanted. And he knew she had it. He knew that he just had to break her and that would be it. He would have the information he desperately needed.
So he tracked her down, and had her ride in his car with him and then brought her to this very room and strapped her down. His plan? Torture. He had cut her apart, ripping into her with scalpels and knives and anything else that would make others scream and wail in pain. And to add insult to injury, he had used a rib spreader to crack almost every rib in her body. But through the whole ordeal, she hadnt said a damn thing. No screams, no whimpers and no flow of information like he had hoped. And then he had made the mistake of leaving her alone. She had managed to compel one of his less strong willed servants to let her go and then she bolted the hell out of there, ignoring the injuries until later, when she collapsed on a park bench and was found by Landon.
Landon was another reason that Sevanni despised her. Landon had been a fluke run in. She had gone to New Orleans and without watching where she was going, she had bumped into him, causing them both to fall over and laugh at each other. That very night he had taken her out for dinner, and also found out she was a vampire. He had never met a vampire before in his life, and so he had no clue about anything that dealt with her kind. They spent hours talking and she answered his questions and they got to know each other. Somewhere between that bump in and falling asleep on opposite beds in the hotel room, they had fallen in love. Landon had been her first love. And to the great displeasure to the big bad Vanni, a werewolf. But Ali hadnt cared about that at all. She hadnt cared about species type and it had only helped confirm her solid place in the war between species.
But it just made Sevanni hate her more. She loved a "were-mutt" as he so fondly called them. Down the line, she had found out that Landon was the second command to a werewolf pack run by a werewolf named Adam. She had met Adam through Landon and she had agreed to help and spy for them. All the while she loved Landon all the more. But those two staying together had not been meant to be. Her werewolf love vanished into think air and even to this day, she didnt know what had happened to him. Where he had disappeared to. She had seen him one day and then the next, poof, nothing. Not even a phone call or a note. But in a way, she was glad that it hadnt worked out. Maybe Landon had been her first love, but he definitely wasnt her final love nor was he the strongest. Loosing Landon, had allowed her to find and fall in love with Victor. Her husband. The man she would do anything to protect.
But there was no doubt that Landon was a good chunk of a reason why her and Sevanni were at opposite ends. They were constantly under each others skin. Constantly trying to make the other burst with anger. Years of knowing him, and every time they met face to face, unless it was a public event, it never ended well. When his breath curled into her face, she scrunched her nose and growled once more, showing just how much he repulsed her. She didnt care if he took great pleasure in that. She wanted him to know it. Rather then pretend he didnt disgust her, she wanted him to feel the full tilt of her hate. That even his touch and voice was enough to stand her hair on edge and make her snarl and gnash her teeth. And even after all these years of knowing him, he could still surprise her with comments that made no sense. She wanted to ask in a sarcastic voice, what exactly she had left out.
Their cat and mouse game ranged over the years and there was always something they both did to upset the other. Whether it be her constantly getting away from him and never telling him what he wanted to hear, to him taking his friends hostage to threatening those she loved. To just being himself. She almost opened her mouth to snarl those very words out. To push at buttons that needed to be pushed just so she wasnt the only miserable one here, but he was continuing on with his speech and it took her a moment to realize what he was talking about. What scenario he was painting before her. One of his little servants sitting at his desk and reading through the document that had been the deal between her husband and him. The deal that had made it very clear that neither Ali or Sevanni could go after the other and that they would have a semi-truce.
Had Ali been human, or even a werewolf, her heart would have been pounding inside her chest. Crashing against her ribs and threatening to either stop beating and kill her, or to push its way past the protective cage of bone and tissue. But Ali was not human and not a werewolf. She was a vampire and so her heart had been still, and cold, for a very long time. It was unable to beat and unable to make the panic she was feeling known to the rest of her body. Looking at her, you would almost think she was calm, like his words had no effect on her. Not even her chocolate brown eyes were giving away what she was thinking. She was like a stone. Heartless, and unfeeling. But the panic was racing through her mind. A loophole...Sevanni had found a loophole to the contract that Victor himself had so very carefully checked over. And knowing her husband, he would have checked over it multiple times so there wouldnt be any possible way to break the contract.
Who would have thought the most simple thing would be the downfall to an almost soundproof contract. Her name. Her blasted last name was the reason for the contract to be broken. The realization and the such simple coincidence of it all made her close her brown eyes. She couldnt believe it. All because she had changed her last name to that of her husbands. The changing of her maiden name had left her wide open to Sevanni Black. Wide open to his torture and what ever else he planned to do to her. In that moment, she was almost positive that he would kill her. He would enjoy harming her and then he would more then likely send her body to Vic and smirk over his hurt and pain. And Sevanni would do it because Ali had fallen in love with a werewolf again. But then again, Sevanni himself had helped with changing Victor to a vampire. Sevanni had been the one to make him mortal.
Opening her eyes again when he spoke her name, she could almost sense how much it killed him to say that. It made her curious as to why the name would cause him such a grievance. The name was the key to her undoing. Shouldnt he be happy about that? And then almost as if he had read her mind, he started to laugh. It was a sound that would make a baby cry and others who didnt scare easily, shudder. It was a happy laugh for Sevanni Black, but for anyone else that was hearing it, it normally meant trouble. She could only recall one other time she had ever heard that laugh. It had been when he had captured her and Rose and brought them to the dinner table to be watched by Nix and Taurs as they were killed. Somehow they had made it out, but that night, Sevanni had laughed as well, thinking his two big enemies would finally be done for.
That had not been the case and the laugh in this situation made her wonder what he had in store for her. Was he going to give her a death that would leave her body mutilated and unrecognizable? Or would he make it quick? Hang her head up on the wall like he always threatened? But apparently he wasnt done. She rolled her eyes at him as he walked around her and sighed. "There is more? Oh goody goody gumdrops." She said sarcastically and closed her eyes once more. She could only imagine what he had planned for her. What to Sevanni, would be the best part of this whole thing? That was the main thought in her mind. But she didnt need to wait long for her little surprise, hell she was confused and startled long before Sev let the events unfold. Her brown eyes snapped open as soon as she smelt another scent mingling with Sevanni's. She knew that scent. She knew that scent better then her own. It had been a scent she always associated with warmth and comfort and friendship.
"Oh no..." She whispered under her breath so quietly, that not even she could hear herself. Tilting her head to the side, she had just enough time to hear Sevanni say she would love this and then Inora was being pushed into the room and over to the table that Ali was strapped on. Her dear, bubbly, blonde friend almost fell on top of her and she couldnt even find the words to speak. It was like someone had dropped a safe on her chest and crushed all the air out of her lungs and just the weight of the metal box kept her from breathing. But there was no safe. There was no metal crushing her air way. It was just pure shock. Because her best friend was supposed to be dead. Ali could still recall the phone call from the police that had said they had found Inora's body in an alley, not far from the night club that all four of the best friend or lovies, as they called each other, ran. She had felt so guilty, and so bad. She had wanted to scream and shout and yell at the Gods. The Fates really were cruel bitches and they were pulling another cruel trick on her. Her best friend back from the dead. But the light bulb went on in her head very quickly.
Sevanni had had her the whole time. And now that she took a whiff, she could smell the scars and the wounds that no doubt marred her friends body. It made her glare at Sevanni and let a small growl and snarl slip past her lips. If there was one thing she was protective of, it was the people she loved. And Nora was at the top. The way top. Out of the whole group, the two of them had gotten along the most. The best. They had been very alike from the start and just clicked in their relationship. They had a friendship that most couldnt comprehend on any level. It was a beautiful thing, and she hated Sev all the more for making her think she had lost that.
Watching the tears fall from those blue eyes made her heart ache. Made her want to weep. But she had made a pact a long time ago that she would never cry unless she couldnt hold it back anymore. There had been many events where she had gotten close to crying and only a few that she did. Inoras death had been one of those events that made her cry, and seeing her friend in pain hurt her so much. When Inora took her hand and squeezed it lightly, she gave a gentle squeeze back, wishing she could move and wipe those tears away. But she was strapped to this table and was stuck. Her friends words barely penetrated through her. She wanted him to kill her? Was she insane? Ali was never going to let that happen. And when Ali set her mind to something, she was stubborn and you couldnt change her choice. One thing that did make her smile though was how much her little Nora was fighting back. She was snarling at Sevanni and flipping him off and telling him where to stick it.
She wanted to pull Nora into a hug and cuddle her and tell her just how proud of her she really was. Because she was proud. So much pride and love for that girl was flooding her system. Her Nora hadnt let Sev break her all the way. But she knew that the next words she let out of her mouth would not be something Nora would like. She gave her friends hand a gentle squeeze again and then turned her hardened gaze back to Sevanni. The man must have known he had his ace in the hole when he pulled out Inora. Now that he had her best friend in front of her, in his clutches, she would do almost anything he wanted. Hell, if he threatened Vic on top of it, she wouldnt hesitate to do what he wanted. The two people she loved most in this world she was determined to protect.
"What do you want Sevanni? I know you didnt kidnap me and tie me down and then bring out my best friend to just have a chat with me. Either there is something I know that you want and you are going to bribe it out of me or there is something else going on that you have planned. You can try torture but it wont work on me and you know it. Once again why you brought out Inora. You said so yourself. Is your plan to finally kill me? Is that it? And I dont need to see the wounds. I can smell them. I can smell what you have done to her." She let a growl slip past her lip and her normally brown eyes flashed red briefly.
The red in her eyes was a sign that she was getting angry. That she was near the edge of snapping and letting that second personality, that evil personality, out. Her second half was named Kali, ironically called after the Goddess of Destruction and annihilation. And Kali loved killing and blood. She was everything Ali was not. Taking in a small breath to calm back down, she closed her eyes and let the stream of air out before addressing him again. "So what...do you want from me. And Nora..Hush." She added the last part, because she knew her friend. She knew Nora would protest. But at the moment, this was between her and the bad vampire that loved making her life hell.

[atrb=width,415,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] Having Inora in his grasp was like playing an orchestra at Carnegie Hall. Even though Sevanni hadn't been himself at the time of her rape, he still remembered everything that happened. Sevanni was no rapist. He would have never have done that had he been himself. Alas, he knew if he hadn't held things deep down inside, then he would have acted out like that throughout his whole life. It was his dark demon come out to take him by the balls.
Especially with a weremutt. The very thought soon after conviousness, and during his order to the rebels to pick her up. He wanted to apologize, but he wasn't one for that. Not to the likes of her kind. She was a filthy mutt, and he knew that she knew he thought of her as such. But he didn't give a shit. He rarely did.
“You’re a sick bastard Sevanni Black. He knew this too. If he wasn't a sick bastard, he wouldn't be Sevanni Black, and they wouldn't be where they were right now. Stuck in a rut, without a paddle to help them down the shit creeks stream of untamed water.
Ali..don’t..don’t give him anything he wants. Just let him kill me. It’s better that way.” He was growing impatient. Little did she know, Sevanni had no intentions of killing her. She was far too important to kill. He'd rather enslave her, find some way to make her a drone. Which was why he was creating something new. If in fact he managed to keep her in his grasps, he was sure she'd have no option but to submit. Many will, that was certain. But would it affect the wolves and those immortal?
Sinister just got worse.
“Fuck you Sevanni. I won’t let you use me against her.” His mouth drew tight. Teeth clenched. It was that look that told everyone watching that he was on the verge of seriously hurting someone. Anyone.
And he did.
His arm flew forward, his hand, strong holding Nora's shirt near her collar with a heavy hold. He could feel his nails dig into her flesh and scrape against her skin as he took hold of her. His arm sprung out and he threw her against the wall behind her. Her form soon to hit cabinet's, the counter, and even those perfectly ordered glass bottles that rested on the shelves. She'd be hurt by that, and there was nothing little miss strapped down could do about it.
I can smell what you have done to her."
And now she could see. He was serious in everything he did that pertained to this, and he wasn't going to back down just because they were a female. If you had the balls to step to him verbally, physically and or mentally, then you had the balls to stand up to anything that came from him.
"So what...do you want from me. And Nora..Hush." Maybe she was finally seeing the bigger picture.
He took a step forward.
What did he want? What had Sevanni all in a bunch over her and that mouth.
The first time he had really hurt her was when he had her in this very same room. The best part was testing out his brand new rib spreader. Opening her up like a Christmas ham. If only he were like Hyde. Eating his victims. That was far too barbaric for Sevanni, but to each his own.
"Not only...." He started as he wedged his way down to allow his arm to rest beside her on the slab. Before doing so he had warned Inora not to get up or move. She could leave the room through the open door, but the Rebels would soon get her before she reached the ten foot limit. The house was guarded far too well now to be tampered with. "Do I want to hear your screams." He could have chuckled to that. "I want to know what makes you and your little friend Rosey so important."
He couldn't figure out why someone skilled nearly as much as Marcus could never accomplish getting his hands on the two. He knew that they were friends, by how much he didn't know, and he knew that they were somehow connected.
Hyde had hurt Rose at the park when he ripped her eye out and ate it. It was his thing, he was wild, and everything he did resulted in eating the many. But to not finish her off before enjoying himself... that was questionable. Then he couldn't find her. A skilled tracker, unable to find one model who had eyes on her. It was too much, and it made Sevanni think. And when it made Sevanni think, nothing good ever came of it. Not for anyone.
"All you have to do......Ali Ambrose." He started with a devilish smirk. "Is tell me about you......Hyde......and Rosey.......and all of this can end soon."
At least he gave her the option before tormenting her. For every question that went unanswered, he promised himself that he would hurt Inora.
It was so hard to make Ali scream. So hard that he had allowed sweat to emerge on his forehead. She had made him grow tired of it, and he had figured out a way to make it not so.

[atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] All the pain that Sevanni had put her through, none of that mattered anymore. It all fell away from her now that the very worst pain had been removed. She wouldn’t have cared about the scars, the cuts, the blood if only she’d known that her friends were out there, trying to get her out. She would only have been biding her time til they could release her. And she knew her friends, they would have found some way to get her out if they’d known she was there. She didn’t know what Sevanni wanted from Ali, Inora had no pertinent information, it was why she’d always wondered why Sevanni would come after her. None of it made sense except that she was a helpless blonde werecreature in a position of power with some powerful friends as well. At least, that’s what had made him come after her the first time, if she wasn’t so sure of how horrible a person he was, she might have been fooled into thinking he felt bad about what he’d done to her. But that didn’t make any sense. She’d sensed regret in him the few times she’d flung those accusations at him, but Sevanni didn’t regret jackass moves. He lived for them. Not to mention, if he’d been a normal person, and he’d regretted something he’d done, he would have given her a pass on telling her friends. It’s not like she’d meant to do it after all. Ali hadn’t been fooled by her attempts to keep it quiet.
She’d desperately wanted to not tell Ali, because she’d known that eventually it would all come back to bite her in the ass. And here it was, biting her in the ass. With all the things that had happened, she regretted that she hadn’t been able to lie to her friends. She needed to make changes in her life, it was the only good thing that had come out of this. If she’d been different, if she’d been stronger, she could have avoided all this. She wouldn’t have been taken, she wouldn’t have been beaten, and she wouldn’t be used against her very best friend in the world.
It hurt, being used against Ali this way. They’d been the best of friends since the moment Inora almost sat down on her on a park bench. Such a strange way to meet, but it fit their friendship perfectly. Only Inora and Ali would have become best friends with the person who’d almost sat on them in a public place. The two of them had clicked in a way that Nora had never experienced before, it was like they were soul mates, they could finish each other’s sentences or predict what the other would do. Yet, Inora felt slightly disconnected now from that bond. She’d changed so much in such a short time and Ali had adjusted to not having Inora in her life. It was like they were friends, but not. It was like Inora was looking at her from the other side, like she was a ghost in her own life. She knew if Ali heard these thoughts, she’d be getting an earful. But it was how she felt. Sevanni was hurting them both more just by putting them in a room together now after all that’d happened than he could have by physically hurting them.
It was hard to believe that she’d really said those things to Sevanni. But she had, and she knew there would be consequences. Sure enough, she’d barely spoken the words before he was striding toward her with that gleam in his eye. She knew that look like the back of her hand by now. His hand flashed, nearly too fast for her to see it, and definitely too fast for her to do anything about it. His nails drew blood from her flesh and then she was flying through the air. One moment of weightlessness and then it all slammed into her, and yeah she was talking about the mass of shit he’d thrown her toward. Her head hit the cabinet, cracking painfully moments before her spine buckled against the counter’s edge. Her elbows smashed into the glass bottles and shards of the stuff proceeded to embed themselves in her back. She slid gracelessly to the floor, unable to brace herself due to the shackles she was in. She groaned and struggled to push herself up. Ali’s words hit her like a brick and she started to cry. Her friend was really going to give him what he wanted.
She saw the open door but she knew better than to try to leave, he would just drag her back and hurt her more. Or worse, hurt Ali to force her back. Their situation was an impossible one. They would both be okay if the other weren’t there, but the fact that he had them both, he was golden and he knew it. Inora hated that smug look on his face, she wanted to knock it off him. But she didn’t have the power for that, not like this, and she couldn’t change fast enough. He’d notice and he’d lock her up or hurt her or find some way to make her really sorry for attempting it. She settled for the only thing that she could do, she grabbed the one bottle that hadn’t been broken and winged it at him. Oh she was not helping herself but there was something wrong with her. She’d never been so angry in her life and she could barely process what she was doing, she was just acting.
Inora pushed herself to her feet and braced herself against the counter as best she could. “Don’t Ali. What’s the worst he could do? Hurt me? He’s been doing that for months. It’s not worth it. Just find a way to get yourself out. Don’t worry about me.”

[atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] Everything was mind games with Sevanni. He loved finding that one little bit of information that he knew he could use against someone and then pushing it into their face until it broke them. He also seemed to have a thing with cat and mouse games. The list of people that he actually could tolerate and possibly like, was a very short one. Sure he had a lot of followers and servants and pets, but did that mean he liked them? Not always. Some of his servants were just as much a pain in the ass to him as she was. They had an inner fire in them that allowed them to take what ever he threw at them. They may have even thought it was fun. And this little fact would come in handy later. Ali knew almost every single person under Sevanni's thumb. He wasn't the only one that knew how to get information and he wasn't the only one that sought out information on the people he hated and wanted to gut alive. Because out of every single person in this world, he was the one that she hated the most. She couldn't stand the vampire before her. If she could have her way, she would rid the world of Sevanni Black, and those dark, malicious thoughts were normally not something that entered her mind.
What did enter her mind was how much their lives intertwined. For two people that couldn't stand each other, they sure did run into each other a lot. She would bump into him at a random time, or he would capture her and go through the normal routine of torture. It was almost a cycle with them. A fun little game and they were the main players. It made her vaguely wonder if he kept her alive because he would miss the cat and mouse game between them. She was an opponent that could actually make him work for his information and could actually get away from him over and over again. As far as she knew, she held the track record for escapes from Sevanni's clutches. And his tortures never worked on her because of her lack of feeling pain. She had once seen sweat appear on the vampires brow. Whether it was out of anger or frustration or both, she didn't know. But she was the one that wouldn't scream. And she planned on keeping it that way. Plus...You couldn't make someone that couldn't feel pain, scream in pain. Sevanni was a clever leech though and he had found the one thing that would cut her right to the heart, and that pain, was worse then physical.
She could smell all the cuts and bruises and marks on Nora's body. If she closed her eyes, she could almost draw the marks on her body with her imagination, and knowing the placement by the smells. She herself knew what those lashings and beatings felt like. The one time that she had sold herself to Sevanni willingly to save Rose from his clutches, she had been the target of those lashings. She had snuck out all the time and mouthed back to him. Of course, she hadn't been alone, becoming a slave to Mr. Black with her other 'lovie' Phoenix. They had both been a pain in the ass to Mr. Sevanni but never in her wildest dreams did Ali think one day Nix would be here willingly and would actually love Sevanni. She had also never thought that she would see her very spunky and loving friend go from being a werewolf to a vampire. But anything was possible in this world of blood and terror. Sevanni had showed that anything was possible. And no matter how much she hated him..she did respect him deep down. It was respect for being able to hold up his reputation, and for being smart enough to create the unimaginable. Like the cure for werewolves that had been used on only two people. Her husband, and Phoenix. Was Sevanni a little sore at the fact that he had helped her and that he could have used that cure for something else?
Oh yes, she had heard about the lab being destroyed. Every cure, vampire or werewolf alike, being crushed and broken, gone. The marvelous invention had barely gotten any use. It had been dangerous, and in a way, it was a good thing it was destroyed. She was still thankful for her husband every day. At the current point in time, she found a small part of herself wishing Sevanni had the cure for werewolves again, and that he could change Inora. Make her a vampire. She wouldn't have to die, and she would be more durable. But that was a pipe dream that had been smashed along with the vials. Right now, she didn't need to focus on that though. She needed to focus on what was going on here and now in this room. And what was happening was not making her happy. She saw his hand pull back before the strike was even executed. Had she had enough time, she would have called out and warned Nora, but Sevanni struck out like a snake chomping down on a mouse. Nora's body went flying and she watched horrified as her friend crashed into the cabinets and the glass containers there. That was going to bruise and that was going to hurt. Her eyes wandered back to Sevanni and they were burning red.
Under her skin she could feel that other voice whispering to her. That voice that loved the violence and the blood and gore. The part that just wanted out and never got to play. The last time Kali had been out was when Nix snapped in Alaska and pulled Rose and her down with her. Kali was scary, and the fact that she was whispering loud enough for Ali to her hear, meant she needed to calm down. That she needed to keep breathing and try to not let it get to her. Keep her cool and keep it under control. Closing her eyes, she bit her lower lip and took in a deep breath. But her little calming exercise was cut short as she felt him moving closer. When she opened her red eyes again and turned her head to look at him, her lips were set in a dead line, and her fists were clenched. She could see the smirk working at his lips at his words. Could see the way he wanted to make her hurt. So far, he was succeeding. But she was going to break it to him fair and square, he would never hear her scream unless she faked it. Closing her eyes once more, she growled, trying to block out his entire presence there. What he wanted to know was important information concerning the three of them. Of course, she didn't understand why he thought she of all people was important. Out of all of it...That was the thing she didn't understand.
Her red hues opened once more, and she looked up just in time to see Nora chuck the bottle at Sevanni. "Dont!!" She wailed out and then groaned as her friend swung anyway. This was not going to end well. Everything was going downhill so very fast. She struggled against the restraints and heard a faint creak as they gave only a little bit. Maybe if she kept working at them, they would break and she could help her friend. When Inora spoke up though, she stopped her struggles and then looked to her. "Yes...He could hurt you. He could kill you. I'm not going to let that happen. If I have to give up a little information about myself...So be it. And I have no idea what he will do with the information, but Sevanni is a man of his word. He'll stop this." Red hues moved back to his face, serious and grim and she glared. "You will do as you said if I answer. You will stop this. And that doesn't mean by killing one or the other or both of us. Got it?" She told him and then sighed once more. She really didn't want to tell him what she knew..and she knew Rose would skin her if she could, but if it came down to telling or making sure her friend lived, the latter won out.
"I dint know what you consider important about me. So thats the only part that I dint understand. But I can answer about Rose, Hyde and myself." Tilting her head to the side, she watched him as she talked. "The pure fact that you are asking about that means you suspect something. Then again...whats not suspicious about one of your best trackers not being able to track Rose and I down and not being able to bring us back? Its curious indeed. The answer is...He has found us. But he doesn't hurt us and he doesn't turn us in. We both hold a special part in his life." A soft sigh left her lips then and she shook her head. "We are both his fledglings. Rose was first obviously, and I was second. He changed Rose when she was fifteen and after they were married off back then. He then left her. I suppose he must still care for her if he doesn't want to kill her that easily. As for me...He killed my family. Murdered them at dinner. Then came after me. But according to him, when he bit me, I didn't scream like the rest of my family. I purred, and moved closer. I actually enjoyed the bite. Thats when he decided I would make the perfect immortal. He left me alive...and then nine years later he tracked me down and turned me. There. Now you know. And thats all I know."
Glaring at him once more, she squirmed and struggled a bit. She had told him what he wanted to know. It was his turn to hold up his end of the bargain. Unless of course he had more questions to ask of her. What he could want to know though, she had no clue. Almost as if it were an after thought, she lifted her eyes and smiled at him. "Oh and by the way....You wont ever hear me scream. Its not possible."

[atrb=width,415,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] “Don’t Ali. What’s the worst he could do? Hurt me? He’s been doing that for months. It’s not worth it. Just find a way to get yourself out. Don’t worry about me.” Oh but that was the least he could do. He could always reach within himself and bring down the house upon Inora. Then Ali. He could do whatever it was he wanted to do. Well, maybe not anything, but the possibilities were endless.
Inora could have moved if she wanted. Throwing things at him was nothing. He could take that and she could pay for it later. She knew she would. Just like Ali knew it.
Inora should have listened to her little friend. If she had, Inora wouldn't get punished for doing what she did. But Sevanni so did like to punish her. Maybe it wasn't him who had done what it was that was done to her. In form, sure, but his actions weren't his own. However; he was on his way to a breaking point with her and he didn't want to ruin that.
"Yes...He could hurt you. He could kill you. I'm not going to let that happen. If I have to give up a little information about myself...So be it. And I have no idea what he will do with the information, but Sevanni is a man of his word. He'll stop this." If only others could think like her.
Soon everyone would have to succumb. Not everyone so to speak, but many people in his region would, but it was up to those within the movement to make sure it would hold.
Later, later.
So she was going to talk. Sevanni was all ears. Of course he was, who wouldn't be when there was information to be had. But the information she had, Sevanni was not prepared for.
She looked back toward him.
"You will do as you said if I answer. You will stop this. And that doesn't mean by killing one or the other or both of us. Got it?" A coy little smirk. Sure, he had it. No killing. He didn't intend to.
"I dint know what you consider important about me. So thats the only part that I dint understand. But I can answer about Rose, Hyde and myself." He listened, and he watched with all the normality he could muster.
So indeed something was going on with the three. He wondered now more so what it was. He could hear Inora's heart beats. Her breathing. Ali had those eyes that were all too telling of truth and lies. If she was lying, he'd know.
We both hold a special part in his life."
Sevanni's fuel was pumping more and more. Diesel burning at an all time medium was surely to turn into something more ghastly.
"What do you mean......special?" He asked with a curious tone matched with a heated fire burning within those eyes and that brain.
"We are both his fledglings."
Her answer wasn't something he was ready for. Hyde? A maker? It wasn't impossible, but he hadn't known that out of all the years the two had been close. But then again, no one ever could figure out how old Sevanni was. Then again, most of his brothers, if not all, were pretty much dead. They would be the only one's to out him. His sisters he could trust. But not the boys.
"Rose was first obviously, and I was second.
But the birdie knew so much. There was so much more Sevanni wanted to know. So much he wanted to say to Hyde. Rose. Oh how he had wanted her head for so long. Now it was even better to get his fangs in her and hang her beside her maker.
No wonder he didn't kill her in the park.
Why he went to her where she shot her photos.
What would Rose do if she found out her dearest friend, and....oh yes, sister, dare he think it. Yes....blood sisters. Oh if she knew that Ali told Sevanni, why......
Sevanni giggled inside, but he was angry at himself for not knowing.
"Oh and by the way....You wont ever hear me scream. Its not possible." They were far from that now. Even if he wanted to punch her he couldn't. Once he had broken a sweat over her and she made no sound, Sevanni had decided a different course was in order.
But she wasn't lying. That much was true.
Married?
Who in the fuck would have thunk that?
He took a swollen breath as he made his choice.
"Rebels!" He shouted out toward the hall in order to gain the attention of the two outside.
"I am a man of my word Ali.....You of all people know that." Brows raised to insist he knew she knew better.
Three arrived and Sevanni was already making his way toward a cabinet on the other side of Ali which was by his right side. Motioning around for a few things.
"Take that one back to her room. I'll dispense her punishment once I'm done here." Two nodded and headed toward Inora. Grabbing her with force if need be if only to bring her back to that same room Sevanni had kept her in for so long.
He turned with a syringe in hand and smile on his face. tell me about you......Hyde......and Rosey.......and all of this can end soon." It was what he told Ali. It was what made her open her tight little mouth and shed the truth like snake skin.
"I think you might like it here." He stuck the needle into her skin and pushed the sedative into her. It was a nice little dose he made sure worked. Vampires were strong, but so were mutts, and the sedative was enough to put down a whole pack. It had to be made strong enough to put out a vampire. "Welcome home."
She'd be taken to a room just across from Inora. Let the two get a chance to say a nice goodbye before something devious that nestled into his mind conspired.
Inora could watch them bring her lifeless body be brought in, and when Ali awoke, it would be to the screams of Inora's punishment.
Oh it was a good fucking night.

[atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] Ali and Inora were stuck in a never-ending circle here, both desperately trying to convince the other not to do something stupid, both going right ahead and doing those stupid things anyway. Inora threw the bottle and Ali gave up the information. Sure Sevanni was a man of his word, but he was also a crafty little bastard. He could twist his word to mean anything, exactly the way he’d found the loophole in his contract. Give him a week and he could find a way to twist anything how he wanted. But there wasn’t much Inora could do to stop things, especially since Ali was already talking.
The things that Ali was saying, they blew Inora’s mind. She’d never known that the vamp who had turned Ali had turned Rose as well. It was shocking and ironic, how connected their group was becoming, how connected to Sevanni they were turning out to be. Now not only had their best friend, Nix, become a part of Sevanni’s group but a part of Sevanni’s group was responsible for Rose and Ali being vampire. The odd man out was Inora, as usual. She was the lone wolf, the only one not blood connected to her friends or Sev. The only reason she was here now was because of her pack, which had surely fallen apart since her disappearance. She was kept because of her usefulness in getting information from Ali. Even Sev seemed shocked by the words coming out of Ali’s mouth, for him to not know such vital information about a trusted member of his sick “family” was incredibly amazing.
Sev shouted out to the rebels and Inora moved into a corner. They’d come for her, she just knew it. She watched Sev move over to a cabinet and wondered what he was doing, hoping he wasn’t going to hurt either her or Ali. Well, she knew that she was going to get hurt, she’d thrown the bottle at him after all, that meant punishments. But she would take it if it meant Ali being okay, being let go. Inora would stay here forever if she could be promised that Ali would be left alone to her happy life with Vic. Someone deserved to be allowed a happy life with their husband. Nora would probably never have it.
Inora saw the men coming for her and ran to the other side of the room but they grabbed her, no doubt leaving bruises on her flesh. Inora screamed, struggling as much as she possibly could. Her legs kicked into their shins and her hands clawed at their faces, but she was no match for them. They dragged her from the room. “ALI! Ali! No! Let me go, dammit.” She continued to struggle the whole way back to her room, trying to get back to her best friend. She was the best hope that Inora had had since arriving here, and Nora didn’t want to let her go that easily. Then when she saw the room again she fought even harder. She planted her legs on either side of the door frame, they pushed and pulled and when they let go to push her legs down she dropped between them and made a break for it, running back toward Ali.
In no time she was tackled to the ground, her head hit hard but she immediately turned over and kicked him off of her. She rose up and took her best swing at the ‘rebel’, punching him in the throat and then turning to run again, only to run into the other ‘rebel’. He grabbed her arm and slammed her face-first into the wall, causing her world to haze out and become incredibly fuzzy. She felt them dragging her back to the room and tossing her in, the floor met her face at an incredibly painful speed and she moaned, turning onto her side. She could feel blood trickling down from the wound on the side of her head. She crawled over to the door and sat against it, hoping she could hear if Ali was being hurt, though Ali didn’t scream like Inora did. Ali was stronger than that. Nora didn’t know she couldn’t feel pain. It wasn’t the things friends normally talked about.
Inora wrapped her arms around her knees and placed her forehead down on them. Her heart was breaking, she didn’t know what was going to happen to her and now she had to worry about Ali as well. Ali being here meant that Rose was in danger so she had to worry about Rose. Not only Rose and Ali, but Sevanni now had Nixie in his grasp too. All of their group, the entire foursome, was in danger from this one man. How had it gotten to this point, how had they let it get so bad? For that matter, where was Nixie now that her friends were being tortured and captured? Tears slipped down Inora’s cheeks, mingling with the blood that was still trickling from her head. She missed her friends, she missed her life, her pack. Most of all, she missed Dominic. Her husband, who thought she was dead. What was he doing now? She missed him terribly but at least she knew that he was alive…or so she thought. For all she knew, he could be dead. Sev’s people could have taken him. But no, if Sevanni had killed her husband he would have taken delight in letting her know it.
She had to get out of her, someday she would see Nic again, she would get to hold her husband. She lifted her head and wiped her tears away and then pressed the heel of her palm against the wound in her head, trying to get the blood flow to cease. She heard footsteps and turned so she could look through the keyhole. Ali’s head came into view, her eyes closed and her arms flopping listlessly. She wasn’t dead, that much was obvious, they wouldn’t be putting her in a room if she was dead. But clearly she wasn’t being let go. Inora sighed and moved into the room further, sitting against the far back wall. Sev would be coming for her soon.

[atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] “Welcome home.” Those were the last words that Ali heard as the needle bit into her skin and the sedative was injected. The drug took quick effect and she only had enough time to look at him in absolute horror before her world went black. Those two words echoed through her mind as she sunk deeper and deeper into that quiet world of sleep. And for herself, that quiet place of pain.
~~~~~~~Dreaming~~~~~~
Ali found herself outside in a field. The moon was high above her head, shining down and bathing everything in a silver glow of light. The field was a rich and vibrant green. The type of green that you only imagined was possible in dreams and in fairy tales. The grass was so tall that it reached past her waist and up to the lower part of her ribs. But the soft texture of the grass against her skin wasn’t the only thing the field possessed. Scattered everywhere were wild flowers of every color. The majority were a light purple, soft and delicate that it looked more white in the moonlight then the purple. But there were also yellows and blues and reds patterned in with the purple. It was like a symphony of colors. So beautiful and so peaceful. It made you relax just by looking at it.
Raising her brown eyes to the sky, she noticed that you could see all the stars. They glowed with an inner fire and even though the moon was full, you could still see them clearly, holding up their own against that brilliance of light. The pure fact that you could see the stars so clearly meant there wasn’t a city close by. That this was near the country side. A little off in the distance she could hear the low purr and growl of a river and when she turned her head in that direction, she could faintly make out the dark shape next to a willow tree. Somewhere in the back of her mind, this place was tugging at a memory. She felt an inner connection to this place and she didn’t know why. Had she been here before? That one sentence, that one thought alone, made her feel a shiver of dread rush down her spine. She didn’t understand it, but her instincts had never been wrong before. What ever this place held for her, she wasn’t going to like it.
She didn’t have time to ponder on that thought though as a scream ripped through the night air. Right after the first scream, another scream followed it and she recognized the screams as a child’s scream.
Turning toward the sound, she raced through the long lines of grass, going as fast as her legs could carry her. Up ahead, there was a faint glow of house lights, and the screaming continued to get louder, ripping at her, making her push herself even faster. She was a vampire, and she felt like she couldn’t get there fast enough. The house burst into view and the lights blared at her like a beacon as she raced over to the door. The screams had stopped and now that she was closer and paying attention, she could smell the sweet metallic smell of blood in the air. It perfumed the air like another skin and it made goose bumps rise on her arms and the hair on the back of her neck stand on end. That familiar feeling she had felt back in the field was still in place and she didn’t know what to expect when she gently pushed back the front door.
The door swung open freely until it got blocked by something in its way, something large and unmovable unless she wanted to crush it against the wall. And something told her she didn’t want to do that. Being tiny came in handy sometimes though, and she turned her body to the side, sliding her petite frame through the gap that had been opened up by what little space she could push the door back. As soon as her foot was through the door, she heard a squish and the smell of blood flared in her nostrils so strong that it was almost too much. She was terrified to open her eyes and see what was sure to be a blood bath. Sure to be a slaughter of some family or worse, just kids. After all, it hadn’t been a parents scream she had heard, but the broken and terrified wails of a child. So taking a deep breath, regretting it soon after since she smelt more blood, she opened her eyes to see the massacre she knew would be waiting for her. For a moment, the scene in front of her was so horrible that she couldn’t comprehend what she was seeing. That in itself was a bad sign. When something was so horrible that it would leave you scarred for the rest of your life, your brain takes control and blocks you from seeing it. It tries to protect you and keep away the nightmares sure to come from the sight. However, if you kept at it, kept working on it, your mind gives up and finally lets you see it. And that is exactly what happened to Ali.
Placing her hand over her mouth to hold back a scream, she moved away from the door and leaned against the wall. In front of her were two bodies, both full grown, and both mangled so far beyond belief that it was a miracle she could recognize them as bodies at all. From where she was standing, she could see that the one closer to the door had been the father. The parts of his skin that weren’t covered in blood were a pale ivory and he would have been tall had he been standing up. His hair was a dark brown similar to her own and his eyes that were blank and staring forward at nothing were a deep chocolate brown. The body next to his was smaller, petite, and delicate. She had a light tan and she seemed so small compared to the mans body. Her hair was a striking blonde color and even though most of it was a bright red from the blood, she could still catch glimpses of it. The eyes though, were the most catching feature. They were set in a very beautiful and gentle featured face, and were a sapphire blue. With them being glazed over and lifeless, it was almost more horrifying then stunning.
With her back pressed against the wall still, she looked away from the river of blood that was seeped around her feet. This was all fresh, and all new. She could still feel the warmth from the blood as it spilled out. Who ever had killed them hadn’t left too long ago, or, they may still be in the house. Forcing herself away from the wall, she tiptoed past the two bodies and prayed that would be all she could find. The two parents had been slaughtered in the hallway and there was sprays of blood scattered across the wall even ten feet away. There was patches and puddles of blood like a trail as she walked further down the hall and came to a stop as an entryway opened up for the dining room. The table had been set for dinner with fancy china plates and silver utensils, a candle holder in the center. As she scanned the table, she counted four plates. She had seen the two parents in the front of the house, but the two other plates meant there were two more people to find.
A small whimper made her turn her head and there huddled in the corner were two little girls. One was taller, obviously older, with tawny hair and tanned skin. She was passed out, her body limp against the floor, and a small spill of blood near her head where she had been hit. Ali could still see the rise and fall of the girls chest and so she wasn’t dead, and that gave her a small hope. Her gaze then went to the other little girl. This girl was far smaller, very petite, with long, dark brown curls and the same brown eyes as the father. She was shaking, terrified and she could just make out two puncture wounds on the girls neck. The damage that had been done here had been done by a vampire. All the signs were the perfect mess of a vampires kill. Someone had gotten hungry, or couldn’t control their hunger, and attacked this family to quench that deep inner burn for blood. Looking into those little girls eyes, she blinked and then it hit her. The reason why all of this was so familiar.
The girl was whispering in French, shivering and huddling in on herself. But Ali knew better. This little girl was not just any little girl, this little girl was her. And this whole scene was the way it had looked in her house the night her parents had been killed by Hyde. Sniffing the air, she could tell that he wasn’t around and that the house was deserted, but she felt a small shake start in her own limbs. “No…no.” She whispered softly and then closed her eyes again and backed up until she bumped into the table, knocking over the candles there and gasping in horror as the table runner lit up on fire so fast, she had to jump back to avoid being burned. And just like that, the dream morphed and changed into something else. She was no longer in her old home in Paris, but her old apartment in London. The apartment that had been located on the top floor of a high rise. The apartment that had set on fire with her trapped inside…......
Ali was huddled against her far wall, next to the window, her knees pulled in tight against her body. The flames were soaring higher and higher, and she could feel the heat from them. Everything in the fire’s path was being consumed, turned into ash before her very eyes. And she knew that if she didn’t get out of there, she wouldn’t be living much longer. In the real life event, there had been a werewolf to save her. But deep in her gut, she knew this time there would be no one coming. No one that could help her. The first bite of the flames reached her and she tucked herself in tighter, but it was no use. She was trapped, and she was going to be consumed alive. When the first flame touched her skin, she cried out and then tried to get away. But the flames consumed her, and she felt her skin burn, and sizzle. She could feel herself dying, being burned away….
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ali woke up with a gasp, and sat up straight in the bed she had been placed on. Swallowing softly, she took a moment to take in her surroundings and to calm herself down. Everything came flooding back to her and she let her back fall against the bed once more. Her brown eyes skimmed over the ceiling and she let herself digest what had happened. She had been kidnapped by Sevanni Black. She had told him information he had wanted to know in exchange for him to stop hurting Inora, who was not dead. Then he had taken Inora away, and injected her with something that knocked her clean out. Those last two words came back to her though and she groaned, rubbing her eyes. Welcome home? Did he mean those words? Was he going to keep her here like some sort of human experiment? Why now, when he had her in his grasp, did he choose to keep her alive instead of kill her? Out of all the long years of being at each others throats, she would have thought he would take his chance. But this turn of events was something new and she didn’t understand it.
Sitting back up, she looked around the room and then recognized it with a start. Unless all the rooms he kept his prisoners in looked the same, this was the exact same room she had stayed in when she had been a slave to him. Was this supposed to be some kind of sick joke? Getting to her feet, she walked over to the door and tried the handle, jiggling it a bit, and not at all surprised when she found it was locked. Growling softly she went back to the bed and plopped back down, running her hands through her hair. She wanted out of here. She never liked being in this house and she could swear that every time she came here, it got creepier and creepier. But she would deal with this as it came. Her main priority was to get Inora out of here. Get her best friend out of this torture palace and back to her husband who still thought she was dead. Dominic had disappeared after he found out about Nora being dead. Or, so they all thought. Ali herself had been trying to track him down, and had been on to something when she wound up in here. That was of course, purely, her bad luck.
Leaning back, using her arms to prop her arms up, she closed her eyes to remember about the dream she had just had. Ever since she was six years old, the murder of her parents had been a nightmare that repeated itself every time she slept. Over the years, her mind just took what ever else was horrible for her and threw that into the mix. Sometimes it would start with one thing and go to another like it had done tonight, but most times, she was forced to relive that horrible night. And she always came in right after the massacre. Right after the slaughter and pain and death. Her mind really was a cruel thing and it shot her with more pain than anyone in this world could ever accomplish. It was the main reason she avoided sleeping and being knocked out at all costs.
Tilting her head to the side, a confused look passed through her eyes as she felt something in her back pocket. Leaning her weight to one side, she snatched at the item and then blinked once more as she realized it was her cell phone. Who ever had kidnapped her to bring her here, was obviously an amateur if they hadn’t noticed, or even checked, for something like that. Quickly, she opened it and then went to her text messages. She scrolled down and then selected two names. The first message she typed out was for Rose. She warned her to be careful and to look out for Sevanni. She also briefly mentioned she was captured by him. The last thing she added in was for Rose to protect Vic and make sure he didn’t do anything stupid. Because once her husband learned she was kidnapped by Sevanni, he would be fuming. The second message she sent, was to Victor himself. She told him she loved him, and that she was caught by Sevanni but not to do anything reckless and that she could handle it. It was a very brief message, but it would do. She sent them both out and then closed her phone with a relieved sigh. She then turned her phone off so it wouldn’t buzz and shoved it back into her back pocket of her jeans where it wasn’t noticeable.
Her fingers reached under her shirt and she pulled out the dog tags that were hidden there. She clutched to them softly and breathed in to capture the scent of Vic that still clung to them. He had given them to her last Christmas and she had given him her mothers locket in return. The dog tags were one thing that never left her neck. “I can do this….We can get out of this. We can.” She whispered to no one in particular and then closed her eyes, praying to the gods that she believed in. She wasn’t sure what was going to happen next and that in a way scared her. She knew Sevanni was going to punish Nora for throwing the bottle, but the question was, had he done it already? And after that, would he be coming to pay a little visit to her? Gods she hoped not.

[atrb=width,415,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] It was a little tiring. Females always did make the most noise. Even when Sevanni killed Patrick he went out like a champ. No wild screaming and hollering. The women...they were all the same.
Annabella had gathered her wits toward the end. When she was trapped inside that glass box. It was more like a tube three times her size in width, but still, the concept was the same.
Nora's screams made Sevanni tingle with glee. Like a kid at Christmas who got the toy he wanted.
Ali was different because she didn't scream. She never said a word other than to put him down with insults and reject any of her knowings to his questions.
Either way, they both pissed him off.
He had managed to stick Ali before Inora started her girly rant of No's and Woe's.
By the time Sevanni stepped in to say something about her noise, The Rebels had already blocked most of her sounds by a door. Sevanni moved back into the room, waiting for them to come back.
Ali was already faded out that his words didn't matter anymore. Maybe they never did. But her's did.
"Take her to the room across from the other. Be careful though, she's quite valuable."
For now.
It had been when he came down that it started.
The door opened for footsteps to enter the room of solitude that Inora had been living in for quite some time. With the exception of those who would be killed soon after meeting her. Not because it was cruel to her, but it was simply where she was kept.
There weren't just dungeon rooms beneath the house. If a person of a mortal nature ever found out about the other parts, he'd be in for a visit from the Military. But he had his strings tied there and it was under his control. Mortals were simply mortals and they were nothing more than a piece of meat on the Vampire food chain.
"My turn to throw things tonight." He spoke low and cruel, as if his anger was about to be let loose after being pent up for so long. She had tried to bully him and make a fool out of him in front of others. Defiance was not a good thing, and he'd show them both why.
She was pulled upward with a strong fist, grabbing her hair in his fist and pulling her up, only to turn her around so she'd face the wall. The other hand moving to the center of her back to keep her mashed against the wall.
"You know the drill."
BAM!
Sevanni struck her back with one of his un-friendly whips. Phoenix used to endure the metal whip, but Inora was a bit more sensitive. Different. Too bad she was an unchangeable mutt. He'd have loved her within the domicile as his.
BAM!
Another, and another, and another was sent until her screams flooded the halls. Ali would wake and more than likely find her scream in between hits. His angry words flying out between each lashing.
Ahh, the memories. Back to the days of punishment. When the tyrants marked those who belonged to them. Their crimes punishable. Darien was lucky he was special. Otherwise he'd be down here with Inora and Ali.
