002. HAIR• Marius has a lion’s coloring, his hair is a soft bronze color that seems to encompass blonde, brown, and red in it. The hair itself is slightly curled and would be even more so if he allowed it to grow out. However, normally he keeps it cut fairly short. He doesn’t like hair in his face unless it belongs to a woman.
003. EYES• Marius’s eyes are a light green that sometimes even appear to be a stormy gray color, this is rare however and really depends on what lighting he’s in and what color’s he is wearing. Those eyes are framed by beautiful lashes the color of his lion-esque hair.

Leather jackets are always a must for him. He ranges from casual clothing to dignified business wear. He can also at times be found wearing a snug sweater and jeans.

001. LIKES• 1) Classy and elegant women: Marius has absolutely no respect for loose women, in fact prostitutes would be his favorite food if he weren’t so terrified of where they’d been;
2) Leather: he’s not really sure what it is about leather that makes him feel so safe but he loves the stuff, especially in jacket form;

009. PERSONALITY OVERVIEW• Marius considers himself to be a man of wit and substance. He enjoys a good laugh. However, Marius can also be a cold son of a bitch, when he feels the mood strike him. He enjoys the hunt that all vampires must engage in to live, his whole life has been devoted to the hunt in some way since he was born. He is quite quirky and that is off-putting to some people. Marius enjoys the kill second only to the hunt, which means that he is more than willing to draw out the hunt in order to get a really satisfying kill in the end.

In terms of relationships, Marius will always take the male role. He does not allow the woman to pay, he does not allow a woman to open her own door, he is a gentleman and he will always act the part. He would love to settle down with the right woman if she were to come along, but he is in no rush for such things, seeing as he has all of eternity to find “the one”. Marius has no particular problems with werewolves or other vampires, he judges all people on a case to case basis.

005. HISTORY OVERVIEW•

William Marius Hastings was born to the Duke and Duchess of Earl, he was the youngest child of eight and all of his elder siblings were females. His birth was heralded by numerous celebrations, his parents had been waiting for years for a son to arrive after two sets of twin girls and a set of triplets all failed to give them the mythical boy. Edward was determined to have an heir and when Marius finally arrived he was given everything he could ever desire. However, that didn’t stop Marius from being a little boy either. He had the typical experience that any boy would have growing up with seven older sisters. He was teased mercilessly and given countless makeovers. Unlike most men, Edward wasn’t worried about whether his son was a manly man or not, he just wanted a child with a penis.

Marius was in love with the hunt from the time he was old enough to walk. He would follow his father out to the woods and often ended up getting lost and sometimes even putting himself in danger. Over time, as he grew up, Marius was taught how to hunt properly and he showed immense promise. He could track anything they set loose for him, with or without the tools that other hunters used. He could get by on just his senses alone. He grew up quickly and was taught by his mother to be a gentleman at all times. He loved his mother very much and continues to this day to try to hold true to what she taught him.

When Marius reached his early twenties, his parents died within three months of each other, his sisters were left in his care and he received all the money and lands that his parents had accumulated over the years. Four of his seven sisters were married off within the year, trying to relieve some of the burden on him. But Marius himself was unable to find a woman that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Most of the women he met he saw only as friends. After two of his sisters died in an outbreak of influenza, Marius quickly married off the last of them, making sure they were happy matches and that they would be well taken care of. After that, Marius just fell into a simple routine. He hunted, he did the things that gentlemen of that time did.

Unbeknownst to him, he caught the eye of a powerful man in the society. This man was a vampire who liked to collect, specifically he liked to collect vampires. If he couldn’t find a vampire that he wanted for his collection, this man, Lord Verin would make one to fit. Apparently, Verin wanted a hunter for his collection but none of the vampires that he had met fit the description. News of Marius’s skills had spread through London society and Lord Verin went looking for the man who could hunt better than any man heard of in a thousand years. Verin turned Marius late on summer evening after Marius’s 23rd birthday. But Marius did not appreciate being turned into a monster against his will, so he killed Lord Verin and the rest of his followers in a blind rage. Ever since then Marius has had a taste for vengeance and blood.
