For untold eons, before and after the fall of dinosaurs, there were the Nocturni and the Old Ones. Like the Neanderthal is the ancestor of humans, the Old Ones are the ancestors of werewolves and the Nocturni the ancestors of vampires. For millions of years, these ageless and immortal nightmares would war as often as human beings gave birth and died. Millions of years and these single-minded, animalistic monsters never relented, for neither side could ever truly die. Both the Old Ones and Nocturni could never die, and for each time one Old One or One Nocturni died, it simply arose again to continue on the fight. Upon the arrival of man, the Old Ones and Nocturni beheld the fragile creatures and began to mate and feed on them. The resulting cross breedings brought forth the first werewolves and vampires. As both sides grew in numbers, seeing their crossbreed progenies as the ultimate foot soldiers, something unthinkable happened. When it seemed as if the Old Ones were destined to fight forever, a chunk of the moon crashed into the earth near the end of the Paleolithic Age. As the comet hit the fault that rested underneath the beasts, the ground opened, swallowing the beasts into the very belly of the earth, imprisoning them ever since.

Untold amount of time passed since them. Since then, the offspring of the Old Ones and Nocturni, have made the earth their home. While their ancestors were long since forgotten by them, the vampires and werewolves still share common traits from the beasts, such as an immeasurable bloodlust. Some things that have long since been forgotten is the never-ending wars between the Old Ones and Nocturni. Contrary to popular belief, vampires and werewolves are not the immortal enemies that movies make them out to be, nor do the vampires sparkle, but sunlight does kill a vampire none the less. Just like silver has a nasty effect on werewolves. Time, like all things, brings change. Vampires and werewolves have both tried to stray away from human blood and resort to cattle for substance, for as the humans began to outnumber the vampires and werewolves, they also began to build weapons and discover the ways to kill the werewolves and the vampires. Even so, werewolves and vampires have also began to breed with humans, further weakening the bloodlines as humans with certain “aspects” of their supernatural heritage begin to come about. However, there are those that still feed on the humans and those that still bring about hatred and fear of the vampires and werewolves. For now, the immortals stick to the shadows that they have stuck to for centuries. The strongest of the both species rule over their kind in different kingdoms around the world, trying to bring more and more of the Bad Bloods, vampires and werewolves that feed on humans, into the fold, so they can begin to integrate into society.
