Everything had gone wrong in a span of twenty-four hours. The scene where Phoenix had to be tracked to her exact location. Heading to Alaska, the heart of where it had all began with Sevanni, only to find her high end in blood and some others from the coven, some he truly despised, others not as much, but to contain the situation, things had gotten worse from there.
Jeremiah made his appearance, unknown to Sevanni that he was really there when he should have been in Italy tending to other matters that did not include Sevanni. It was ever changing. The cold. Getting icy when Jeremiah made his appearance behind his beloved Nixie, and then there was following, and deliverance.
Nixie had been pinched by one of her friends after Jeremiah put her down on top of the cold snow. Sevanni's black little heart sinking as if human emotions had taken its hold. He was furious, anxious, something inside of him had tangled it all up, but it had sparked something in Jeremiah once Sevanni showed him the blade.
"You want to do this brother of mine?" Sevanni had nodded and made it more visible for him. "We both know what it does." Came Sevanni's tune, the bearing stares of wonderment as to what was really going on. Was it something that could make them no more? Something that could kill only from their blood line? Of course. It had been a tainted blade that would be housed within Jeremiah's chest and Sevanni would have to carve his unbeating heart.
It took a long while, but it had been done. Jeremiah had kicked Sevanni's ass into the dust, his body laying on the ground, blood turning the snow crimson, his stomach flat against the snow and Jeremiah had moved over him, turning his body around so that he was on his back, his hand clutching Sevanni's throat and squeezing with a grip that even Sevanni had a hard time prying from. But he held his ground firm by holding on to that blade for dear life. Not seen by his petty eye, but there was that one window of opportunity he needed. And it was there.
The blade ran up into the center of Jeremiah's caged frame, black blood leaking from his form on top of Sevanni's. "So mote it be." He spoke with clenched teeth as he eyes Jeremiah viciously in the eye, everything he had felt had come crashing down like falling glass. Another brother killed by his own two hands. Alas, it would have been better to trade his life for Ezra's.
There had been whispered words that would only be heard by the two. Spoken in Italian. Something about his kingdom and their people, and how it had been a ride. In the end Jeremiah went down with a defeated face, and just as he had the girls had started their wailing. It had been like a crackling fire that held witches within it's pit, and all that they were were dust soon after their maker had fallen.
If Sevanni died, would the same happen should he wed his fledgelings? Would they live on without him? With Jeremiah it had been their blood ties, and for that reason alone, he moved on along side them.
Now it was Italy. His kingdom. His people. The rogue country side had been a peaceful place. The villa was where he had everything moved to. His pets, the slaves, Shaden, Emi, Nixie. He was closer to England, but there was a good distance between where he vowed not to go. All of their belongings boxed and placed into their prospective rooms.
Emi had her play room down in the hollowed rooms below the house. Phoenix had her own quarters in the spacious Villa. Something best fitting for her, and he let her reign free to do what she wanted with her own space.
Shaden was housed in the west end of the villa, but it was close enough to where Sevanni could sense his movements. The absence of Shaden would be something he couldn't bare to be had, let alone the others around him, he was special to Sevanni in more ways than one. Even with his freedom to do as he pleased, Sure Sevanni had marked him, claimed him for himself the greedy bastard he was, but there was no one out there who would or could give Shaden what he needed like Sevanni could.
The slaves were kept close by and Darien, his precious Darien had been right next to his room in his own little realm. And PsyChi right across the hall in his own room. He had yet to partake in that investment, but that would change soon enough.
The grounds were quiet, Imogine was outside running around through the hedge maze with Cree and Marcus and Annaliah were soon close by. It had made it all worth while really.
It had been Phoenix though who brought him back. Stuck within that coffin, lying in wait for someone to save him from himself.
..........Before
Annaliah had found someone who could restore things to how they were. Marcus had managed to get Sevanni alone, Annaliah and Phoenix were with Sevanni as he lay in that coffin, the hag standing close by with her incantations and potions. The only thing Annaliah had asked Nixie, was whether or not she was sure she wanted to do this. Bring back the man she knew to be of something other than kind to her, but it had been the free spirited Sevanni who had raped Inora. Who had partook in the sinful exposure of himself and Shaden. He'd been the one who had done what it was Sevanni wouldn't have normally done, and then, the time had come to be rid of the evilness and bring back an evil that they all knew oh so well.
He had his memory. Everything that had happened he was aware of. Marcus stabbing him in the study as the gypsy spoke her magic. Waking up in that coffin with a spurt of energy upon rising to a sit. Looking to see Nixie and Annaliah standing there. Only it had taken him hours to even look Nixie in the eye. He as another had done something Sevanni didn't have the courage to do. He had taken Nixie, his feisty little blond that he loved stalking, and turned her with the Serum from Mutt to Vampire. His vampire. His beloved fledgling.
It had been weeks since he'd seen his daughter. Their daughter. Taken by the Ice Queen. Grown on Sevanni over time, and after Imogine had arrived it was then when Aubrey and Mallie had left. But he was sitting there now, watching her play with the prize he held close in that tiny little box in his armoire. Cree was a special little finding trapped in a box, often set free to spread her arms and legs. She was obsessed with Sevanni and had tried her best to keep the women at bay. She was however; infatuated with him and Shaden's efforts to be apart of one anothers lives. Perhaps she didn't feel threatened, but, like all women, eventually that too would end.
The sky was dark and filled with twinkling stars. The atmosphere was calming, quiet. He imagined Emiste down below sharpening her toys. Phoenix off somewhere trying to stay clear of Sevanni. It had been two days ago where they finally sat in the same room. He had been unable to piece together how she could have let that happen. Let him change her and not know it wasn't Sevanni. Even if it was flesh and blood and bone, all Sevanni, it still wasn't him.
The last thing that he remembered as real was him and Lars fighting in the park. Fighting with Giselle in Paris, dumping some bodies in the Long Island River and carrying one head back to his trophy room. It was a good year, but the new one was upon them, and he wanted to make things as he should have long ago.
And here he was, committed to a coven full of those he didn't get along with, and his plans had started to work out perfectly since. Oh what a tangled web of a year it was indeed, but now the spider was home, and hungry as ever.

For a few days she had followed James around wherever he went. She had hoped he would not go after Sevanni, which of course he hadn't just yet. Yet being the operative word. She was hopeful that he and the one who took her life would get their just deserts, and in the end her death would not have been in vain.
For days she had tried to scream out for someone to hear her. She wasn't hungry. She wasn't warm or cold. She simply was. No one saw her. For a split second she did catch wind of Sevanni's little lady peeking at her. Or rather, through her. Eventually the look wore off and things returned to normal. She was lucky in a sense. If someone had seen her, seen a ghost, a spirit, anything, then it could have been bad. Or good, depending on who saw her.
She'd been here now to find out who the guy was who killed her. Maybe he would show up, his name. Then somehow managed to get words to someone who would know and could tell. It was all hopeless.
She watched him from time to time as she walked around in the room he was in. A cozy little room, very Sevanni like. In the time that she knew Sevanni she couldn't for the life of her understand what James meant by him being dangerous. Cruel from others. With Annabella he was so sweet and gentle. When she found out he was a vampire, sure she was startled, floored, but he hadn't attempted to harm her in anyway. It was in the end when things went south, and after what had happened after feeling from the pack house and surrendering herself, did she understand. It was because of a woman. His woman.
"Geez Sevanni, you sure do have a neatness complex." She snuffed chuckling to herself. She was the only one who could hear him. Sad really. "I always pegged you for a neat freak....." Again she sighingly chuckled to herself as she brushed invisible fingers through a couple of books that were placed on a small circular table, as if it had been planned to leave them that way. All it needed were a pair of spectacles and a nice shiny red or green apple. Maybe one of his lit cigars hanging over the edge so it could reach those books and burn the house down and take all of them with it. Her gift to the man she loved.
It saddened her to think of him. How his smirk was. How his hair flushed across the cut of his eyes and how he looked after turning back into an actual human. For those reasons alone, she had missed being alive. Being able to hop on a train or plane or even a car just to see him. Now all she had to do was think about him and will herself there. Still, she missed him. Missed touching him or feeling his breath. Even with fingers curled up near his lips and nose she couldn't feel a single hint of air. His breathing.
Anna walked up to Sevanni, looking out of the window to his side and slightly behind him. It had been a while since she got so close on purpose, she was just happy it wasn't while she was alive. Perhaps she would cringe or ball up from it. Either way, he didn't know.
It was sad that that little girl had to live with him. Call him daddy and not know what he was truly like. What he didn't know was that she could talk to Imogine as much as she wanted, and actually hold a conversation. But it was their little secret and as long as Imogine didn't tell or hint around to the fact that she had a friend named Annabella, she was just fine with their friendship. Eventually she was going to give pain back to Sevanni through her.
"It's sad that she loves you so......" She began with a sadness in her voice. "She thinks the world of you while the world wishes you dead." And then there was a flicker. As if a light came on, and now it was Sevanni who was in his own web.
