’Please come today, Please come today...’ Was the only thought running through Chases mind. He was begging whatever higher power for the chance to see her as he stared at his watch… 9:21.55 'And' 9:21.56 ’In' 9:21.57 ’3’ 9:21.58 ’2’ 9:21.59 ’1’ 9:22.00 The door opened and the little bell jingled...’Right on cue’ And as he looked up… there she was… Kristan Lyn Brooks Brown hair and blue eyes… she was as stunning as always… and she doesn’t even know he exists… well not yet that is… He called for one of the waitresses… the one who was looking at him ever since he got in cause he hasn’t ordered anything in about two and a half hours. “I think I will be ordering now.” ”FINALLY! You come in here every day and never order anyth…” “Oh, it’s not for me… it’s for her.” The waitress was almost ready to choke him… but she didn’t want to get fired… She pulled out her little pad and with that voice of disgust and annoyance asked him what SHE was going to have… “Hot Chocolate… Extra sweet and some marshmallows.” He pulled out a twenty and gave it to the waitress. “And I am sorry for bothering you so much Liz. That is for you and your troubles, not the hot chocolate.” He was sincere about bothering her, ‘cause she was always the one to ask him what he wanted and he always denied her. He touched her hand and looked her in the eyes. He really considered her a friend, because on more than several occasions, Lyn never showed, and whenever Liz was on her breaks, she would sit with him. It’s been nearly a year since he saw Lyn, and everyday he would hope to catch a glimpse of her, coming here as she would work on whatever it she was working on. People could consider him a stalker if they wanted, but he would only come here, catch that glimpse, and walk away. Nothing stalker-ish about it… for the most part. Today though it was going to be different, and this time, he wasn’t going to walk away until he had talked to her… even if she said, “Beat it.” The waitress walked up to Lyn with the cup of coffee, and although she wasn’t all happy doing it, she did it with a smile and placed it in front of Lyn. ”From the Gentleman over there.” Liz pointed towards Chase and he decided to hear what her reaction was before he would go over to her and make a complete ass out of himself… ’Showtime.’

Kristan shook her head and continued to write, "Thank you miss. Can you tell the gentleman thank you as well and that he had a lucky guess on one of my favorite drinks." Soon after she was writing away once again, trying to do her best to ignore her surroundings. Never would she understand the fascination people had with her, yes she was a model, but there were a lot more models out there that were better than her. Maybe the whole fact that she didn't act like a model was the key to having so many guys genuinely liking her. 'But god dammit, they can never freakin' leave me alone!!!.. just ugh.. some peace.. for once..... would be nice.' She though silent as she found herself slowly moving her eyes towards the man again, but keeping her head down and face towards the table and her paper work. Why exactly was she looking over towards him, hell if she knew, but now she could see the small twinkle in his eyes. The kid as actually kind of cute, so why wasn't she talking to him or why wasn't he walking over there to talk to her. He did pay for a very well made cup of extra sweet hot cocoa with marshmallows. A soft elongated sigh slipped from her luscious lips as she moved her gaze fully towards him lifting her head as well. With a small motion, she picked up her hand and waved him over a little, mouthing the words -come here- as she did. Once that was done though, she looked back down towards her work and once again started to write away and brain storm. [/ul]

Her reaction… Not what he expected… She shook her head and went back to writing… ”Thank you miss. Can you tell the gentleman thank you as well and that he had a lucky guess on one of my favorite drinks.”
He was a little heartbroken and he looked back at Liz. She turned and walked away from Lyn, mouthing the words I’m Sorry. To him. It wasn’t her fault. He should have known that someone like Lyn, the model, wouldn’t be interested in someone like him. A cold, dead, nobody. He shook his head at Liz to tell her it was okay, and motioned to her that he wanted some water. It was a sad day to be Kestrel. Liz came with the bottle of water and sat down at his table next to him. ”It’s okay Chase. There are other fish in the sea. Hang in there.” With a sympathetic touch on the hand, she was on her way. After all she had a Job.
With a sigh, he grabbed the water bottle and placed the water in the glass. Ice… it had no effect on his skin or his body… It was just… warm…
Suddenly, he noticed something… Lyn… She was looking at him with a smile… ”Come here” He head went back down…
Was she talking to him? Did he see that right or was it all in his head? Was he going crazy? There was only one way to find out…
He got up from his seat completely forgetting the water he poured. Again, he wasn’t leaving until he heard her say it for herself that she didn’t want him around. ’Here goes nothing.’
He slowly got up, and walked towards her… and when he got to his table, he placed a hand on the chair and asked her, “Is this spot taken?”

She knew it had to be him cause she asked no one else to come and sit with her. Slowly her lovely and alluring oceanic eyes rolling up towards him as she tilted her head in his direction ever so slightly. Kristan was somewhat surprised as she looked up at him. This man who had decided to buy her one of her favorite drinks a long with the fact that he wished to sit near her, with out saying how 'fucking fine' she looked. Boys like that annoyed her and so badly she wished to just slap them across the face but she knew that would be bad publicity. Looking up at him she smiled ever so slightly and nodded for him to sit down. The words the were slowly appearing on the paper stopped as she placed her pen down on the table and placed her right hand on her right cheek and her elbow on the table, to prop her head up. "Well how did you manage to figure out one of my favorite drinks, huh?" She questioned him while smirking slightly. She tapped her nails slowly over the wood of the table creeping them slowly over towards his resting hands. Kristan had to admit he was quite handsome and charming in just the way he presented himself, which gave her the option of a little flirtation. But before her the tips of her fingers could caress or even touch the smooth skin of his hand, she brought her hand back to her skating her delicate and elegant fingers through her chocolate wavy locks. Brushing them all over the top of her head, so they cascaded down the opposite side of her head. They spread out over the table and a little bit even fell off and just dangled towards her lap. She stared up into his eyes, knowing that if one of them were to break eye contact first, it would be him not her. A soft sigh came from her lips, it wasn't a boring or tired yawn it was a sexy sigh, one that most guys fawned over it. But he was just too cute, she wondered if he would or could actually be a guy that she would keep around a little longer than she did the rest. There were points in time where she needed a fling or two, but he seemed more the longer relationship type, who knew maybe it could work for a little while. That was the one of the things Lyn was good at. The fact that she could get a pretty good idea on how her and the person would work out, just by looking at a person.[/ul]

She nodded and he couldn’t hold back the smile that developed on his face. After so long, he finally had his chance… The question is how would he tell her that he has been going to the same café for about a year at the exact same time watching her from afar, hoping to get noticed… Yeah… that doesn’t say stalker at all… Not ONE bit… Completely sane…
”Well how did you manage to figure out one of my favorite drinks, huh?" “Call it an intuition.” It really wasn’t, but it was better than saying, “Yeah… I just remember it from all the times I waited for you to come…”
He could feel her stare on him, but he could also feel the vibration in the table from her hand. The way they slowly started to increase in strength and speed suggested that her fingers were doing a little walk towards his hand. He never broke his gaze from her as he talked to her. He has been looking at her for a year practically, and he wasn’t about to break this gaze now that he was so close, the he could smell her scent and feel the warmth of her body. Suddenly, the vibrations stopped and her hand went to her hair. It was as if she was teasing him…
Her hair though was beautiful, and only complimented the elegance that was her face. He could stare at her for hours, just memorizing where she would blush first, or where her smile would start and how it would look like. If he had the choice, he would spend eternity in the exact same spot. Unfortunately, if they did do that, the store would kick them out, and even if they didn’t, humans needed their sleep, food, and water…
But regardless, he wanted to keep the moment lasting, smiling back at her, being aware that he was suppose to keep his fangs hidden. It would be awkward.

With that she stood from her chair and moved away from the table and moved towards the door to leave the cafe. He would notice that she hadn't even left the cup of hot cocoa; it seemed she had taken it with her. Though that was just like Kris and once she came back to the cafe she returned the mug clean as can be. Looking up to the sky she thought about what she should do, especially with the guy that would be tagging a long in a few moments. She had to wonder what was going to happen or where she was going to lead him. The one thing was though is that she did need to drop off her stuff and that might mean that they'll end up in her house. Kris was no whore nor a slut or anything like that, she could only hope he didn't think of her that way and that maybe he was a decent guy.[/ul]

She wanted to leave? This was new… In all his time he watched her (as creepy as it sounds), she never left early… well, not this early. There were times she just gave up and came another day, if she could.
But… this early?
"I don't wish to be here anymore, if you wish to follow you can."
Where were they gonna go? He usually never followed her anywhere… it was usually in the Café, and that was because it seemed easier to understand her in the café… but now, he was going somewhere else… How different would she be? Would she be crazier? Would she be shyer? How would she act?
Out of nowhere though, she was back, and with the cup. He completely didn’t notice the cup, but there she was holding the cup…
He got up and followed her, but not before he looked at Liz and mouthed the words –Thank You–
He walked towards her, thinking how lucky he got. She had never met him before, and yet she was willing to take him somewhere. He was a nothing, a no one, and a spec in her world…
So what was it about him that she wanted? If it was his looks, it was mainly his vampire side that made him so irresistible. But by the way she looked, she could have been a vampire. She was beautiful. Took his breath away… well… whatever breath he could take in, she took it away. He just wanted to reach out, touch her angelic face… and maybe just for a moment… feel how it feels to touch those lips… or maybe to smell the scent up close and personal…
’SNAP OUT OF IT!’
He didn’t want to give in to the blood lust… nor the physical lust… He wanted to be able to love her… not lust over her… To love her… Love... What a funny word...

She choked out. Never would she understand why she felt so odd, like she should protect herself more than she usually wanted to. Damn.. she just needed to get a hold of herself, that's all. So with that she let her body slowly calm and she turned and looked over to the boy a smile gracing her perfect facial features. "Bet you can't keep up." And with that she was off turning around and using her powerful, lean legs sprint up the side walk towards her house. Seems like she was taking him to her house and at that point in time things seemed to be more calming and fun then the few moments before. Rushing she leaped over the gate that was in front of her house and slid through the few bushes around the pathway towards her front door. She refused to look back and slid the keys from her pocket as she jumped the few stairs onto her porch and then quickly slammed the key into the lock and opened the door and rushed into her house slamming the door but she didn't lock it. Putting her books down she bit her lip and looked around for a hiding spot and finally slipped between the small space between the wall and the armoire on the other side of the wall from the door. She had to wonder how quick he was, she was curious but she was nervous at the same time.[/ul]

“Huh? What the hell?” He was a little confused? He was walking with her one moment and then the next she sprinted off like a… ’I don’t think there is a word to describe that randomness……………’ He was a little stunned at first replaying the scene in his head… ”Bet you can't keep up." And off she went… They barely took a couple of steps out the door.
He sighed and decided to play it cool. He was a vampire and he could easily beat her to any location she had in mind, but he decided it would be better to just let her sprint her own marathon and he take the chill way. He would walk vampire speed. It’s been a while since he managed to gaze at the stars and the moon light… Oh, how he did miss star gazing… As a kid, he did it every night, sitting on his roof, watching the stars just sit there and glimmer as beautiful diamonds…
He closed his eyes for a second, remembering what he was supposed to be doing… Opening his eyes, he focused on Lyn’s scent… The hot chocolate still lingering in the air. He could hear her foot steps in the distant ’Thud Thud Thud Thud Thud Thud Thud Thud…’ She stopped, and then a strange sound followed by a click and a slam… She put the key into the key hole would be his best guess, but what was missing was the click that should have followed the slam… The door didn’t close properly… And she didn’t know… A couple of footsteps followed, which implied she was looking for something… and then it was followed by a… fabric sliding in a tight spot? Wha? But it got all quiet except for the sound all Vampires loved to hear… the heart beat ’Beat Thump Beat Thump Beat Thump Beat Thump Beat Thump Beat Thump’ The speed… the power… the way it just called out to him… asking him to drain it all quickly and quie… NO! He shook his head. He wasn’t going to do that… He wasn’t going to kill… Not for no reason…
He managed to make it to the house, and knocked on the door, but it slid open. She was playing games, and he liked to play games. Unfortunately, he couldn’t give it away that he could find out where she was so fast. He had to play the part of a human.
“Hello?” The door closed behind him and he decided to walk around the place a bit, pretending to play the game of hide and seek that she seemed to want to play. “Hello?!” The heart beat behind him and the soft, almost inaudible breathing flowing out from that small crack in the wall… He didn’t look… “HellOooo?!” He waited about five mintues before he ‘Noticed’ her… “There you are…”

She was surprised to see him find her so quickly, it actually frightened her a little bit. A soft smile graced her features though as she slowly stood up and moved from her hiding spot. In all her years she didn't feel as awkward as she did now. It wasn't awkward in a bad way though it was just different, she guessed.
After just standing there and looking up into his eyes for a mere moment she brushed past him towards the family room and beckoned for him to follow her. Soon after she sat down and sunk into the comfy love seat and looked up to him tilting her head ever so slightly in wonder. Kris wanted to know who this boy was, what intrigued her so much about him, and why he was so intrigued by her other than the fact that she was a model.
Not knowing how to start off a good conversation at that point she waited for him to sit and then stood and walked towards the kitchen. "Is there anything you would like to drink, maybe eat?" Letting the words carry like the tune of a song, graceful and elegant. As she awaited his answer she turned more so that she was facing him at an angle while she pulled her hand up around the opposite side of her head and grabbed her hair pulling it to that side. It gave him a full view of her perfectly sculpted neck, he could probably see the blood pumping beneath the curve of her lovely silk skin.
After he had answered she moved into the kitchen and put the cup of hot cocoa in the microwave to heat it up again and grabbed a bag of marshmallows, to add a few more once the warm chocolaty mixture was to her liking. "So.. what brings you here to Memphis? Do you live down here?.. You just don't seem like a Memphisan." She made up her own word for the people of Memphis, she did that with all the cities really.

He heard her voice slowly echo in his head… Her voice was different from most humans… It was filled with curiosity and possibly a hint of fear… Fear of the unknown… He himself didn’t see anything strange about it… but that was mainly because he was the one who she was curious about and scared that he was more than he was letting on… which he was.
“No thank you. I ate at the bar thank you. But feel free to grab anything for yourself.” He smiled at her, and then continued to look around the house. “You have a lovely house.”
When she came back she asked him a strange question. "So.. what brings you here to Memphis? Do you live down here?.. You just don't seem like a Memphisan."
“No, I’m not from around here, you are correct. I’m actually part Egyptian and part Mexican, and as for what I am doing here, it’s going to sound strange, I came to see you… No, I’m not a stalker, I swear. I read an article about you in the newspaper, and it said that you lived here. I just wanted to see you. And no, it’s not because you are a model… I loved the interview you gave. I don’t know… I sort of was hoping to get to know you better…”
It wasn’t much, but at the same time, he gave her more insight about himself and his reasons for being there in the first place… without telling her what he was or what he was doing.
God it was good to be a vampire… God… Ha! There is no such thing as god… and being a vampire proved it. Religion stated that Vampires or Shape Shifters exists, and yet there he was, cheating the concepts of life and death just by standing in the room being a combination of both.
He smiled and stood up, wrapping an arm around her and dipped her. “And please forgive me…” Before she could even hesitate or say a word, he leaned in towards her and kissed her….

She finally bounced back into her reality and stood up covering her mouth ever so lightly, her head spinning slightly. "Did.. w-we just....I?" She didn't know what to say, because for her she hadn't felt a kiss like that in a long time. The kiss wasn't some passion filled one night stand kiss or some hook up type of kiss, there was something behind it, that she hadn't felt in a long time. Biting her lower lip she turned form him and moved to her cup of hot cocoa and started to drink it slightly rattled. God, what had she gotten herself into, there was this guy standing in her house, a very gorgeous man with an intense gaze and an aura that called out to her. Now that they were alone and there was no one around, her public slightly stand offish attitude wasn't going to work. Standing there her back to him, she felt the heat rise with in her cheeks as she blushed staring at her kitchen counter, holding the cup/mug tightly with in her elegant smooth hands. "Uh.. I..." She truly didn't know what to say, this was not a good situation at all.. not one bit.[/ul]

”W-wait, w-what was that? Did.. w-we just....I?”Her reaction seemed priceless. One small kiss from him and he turned her world upside down and spinning all around… or that was what it looked like. He smiled at that feeling of power he had over Kristan. He walked up towards her, her back to him. He wanted to hug her… calm her hands and show her it was all okay… ”Uh.. I...” By then, he was already behind her, and he slowly put his hand on her hand, placing the cup that she was holding on the counter, then wrapping his arms around her, kissing her neck tenderly. She really was an incredible person. Something about her just called out to him... and he wanted to know what it was. The kisses on her neck slowly crept up her to kiss along her jaw line. He wanted to show her that he loved her, but if she wasn’t ready for that sort of love, he will back away... But he has been waiting for this day for so long... He finally has the woman of his dreams and fantasy in his arms. The woman he has waited for, for so long, just to finally be able to get this close to her, to tell her that he loves her, to show her that he loves her, and to be there for her whenever she needed him... He wanted to become her knight in shining armor, but he could feel the stress in her mind and wanted to relax her so that she could enjoy herself rather than over think something so simple. He reached into her mind and twisted her thoughts, making her relax and enjoy this. One of his arms that were around her waist when he was behind her slowly slid upwards so that the hand could rest and caress the base of her neck slowly... He wanted to show her a good time... Hopefully, she would smile or kiss him back...
