Codie sat on one of the park benches, the rain could be heard hitting the top of her bright red umbrella despite only being light drops. It never really bothered her, in fact it was rather strange that whenever it rained Codie found it rather refreshing to sit outside and let her mind run a mile or two. Today was just like any of those days. Except of course she was no longer in America. Codie had only just recently made her way to England and it still in a way freaked her out a little bit that she was no longer with her family, the family that had helped her through all the troubled times of figuring out who she really was.
In turn they may have helped her on her course of who Codie was as a wolf, but as a woman she needed to find that out for herself. Which is why she was now here. She'd fallen for a vampire. The memory of herself walking out on Desmond still to this day played on her mind over and over again, she often wondered why was she so stupid as to have let go of someone who truely loved her in return. It was something she wasn't used to. Apart from her brothers and father, Codie had never had much luck with men. Her last boyfriend had cheated on her after he'd proposed and now with Desmond, how could he even give her another shot after what she had said to him?
He must want to though she thought, otherwise he wouldn't have asked me to runaway with him. The letter. Codie took it out of her pocket, unfolded it and read through it again. It was what had a huge part in why Codie had changed her mind. During the time it took her to first notice it sitting on top of her bed to the time it took her to realize how she truely felt for Desmond. She loved him, there was no doubt in her mind about that. Codie had taken her life savings that was to start her own vet clinic one day to get here, she knew where her true future lied.
Codie sighed as she snapped back into reality, she gently pushed a stray hair behind her ear as she glanced around the garden from where she was sitting. Now that she was here, all she had to do was find Desmond and try to explain to him why she was so foolish. She slowly got up from the chair and walked away, still in thought.
