Con ran silently down the streets as fast as he's legs could take him. He hated running, even when he had unlimited body strength and energy. He jumped onto a nearby rooftop and stopped, he looked around and hissed under his breath. "Son of a bitch, at this rate I'm never gonna find my way out of here."
The scents of London were very confusing, to much information was going into his brain, and making choices very difficult. He looked around and sniffed the air around him and flinched *Werewolves, figures they would have some stomping ground around here.* He thought to himself.
He cracked his neck sharply and sighed. He continued on down the rooftops at top speed, still taking in the scents around him. How many damn creatures roamed around these parts, and he thought New York was bad. In New York the pollutants in the air diluted some of the scents and made it easier to single one out and follow through.
He stopped again and fell down on his face with a thud. Thank god he was almost indestructible, but the inevitability of being lost irked him horribly. *Why the hell, in all of gods holly land did I end up here.* He thought.
He turned around onto his back and smiled. *Thats right, I forgot. I've got a little more info about my family. I should show Abby when I get back.* Abby was his niece he recently discovered in a bar while looking for a job, and he tried to keep in contact as much as possible.
He looked around one last time on his back and hoped up, with a deep sigh he took in one last whiff of the air and froze. *Shit, shit, shit, Vampire near by. A male with . . .* He sniffed again *Werewolf all over him?* He shook his head and shrugged. *Either way I need to be careful, He's about two miles from my position, if I watch my steps carefully he wont notice me.*
Con took off again this time a little slower and a bit more carefully. He kept up with the scent, and apparently he was all over this vampires hunting grounds. *Well Con, lets hope if he does find us he's at least friendly*

Desmond strolled casually through the streets of London that he knew so very well as the moon shined full to light his way. This was the one place he truly could call home and was comforted by the familiarity he felt with this town despite the many decades he had been away. He turned down a back road by the general store knowing that it was a shorter route to get to his old home from when he was a kid. He smiled as he looked upon the worn walkway that wound its way in front of him, knowing full well that it was his little steps from years ago that was credited for the wear and tear. He had walked the same path as a little boy as he went to and from school every day and remembered old man Hatchinson would await him with a piece of candy as he passed the sweets shop every morning. For a moment Desmond felt human again as his feet rapped lightly along the old stone walkway just as they had done as a little lad.
Desmond wanted to see his old place again and had invited Codie along as well but she made a joke about the moon being full so she couldn’t go out. If she didn’t want to come along she just had to say so. It would have been nice to have Codie here with him now so he could fill her in on his past as he literally walked through it now. He still hadn’t put two and two together that werewolves and full moons didn’t work well with each other just as vampires and the sun weren’t exactly on a friendly basis either.
He was ripped from the past and brought to the present however by a loud crashing sound that echoed through the streets, magnified by the stone walls that composed most of the buildings in London. It sounded as though a concrete block had been thrown against a brick wall………it wasn’t the most subtle sound and even a human could have heard it. Desmond immediately became suspicious and froze where he stood, cocking his head slightly in anticipation for any follow up sounds he could pick up. He breathed in sharply and picked up an unfamiliar scent in a familiar place. It was a vampire, no doubt about that. Dessie could tell that he obviously wasn’t from around here by an unfamiliar scent. “Looks like someone is a bit lost………” he muttered to himself.
Desmond sped off in the direction of the scent, leaving his walk through memory lane for another time. He came upon the vampire as he raced through the rooftops. The man had long hair and looked like he had forgotten that the 80’s were over. The man had taken a wrong turn down an ally that ended up in a dead end. He clearly isn’t from around here Desmond thought as he approached the man. “You a bit lost my friend? I’m not fond of strangers in this town………especially when they have fangs. What’re you doing around here?” The man seemed to be harmless enough but after knowing Ali he knew that looks could be deceiving. He waited patiently for the man to reply.

Con tensed and took the defensive instinctively as the other vampire male came up to him. “You a bit lost my friend? I’m not fond of strangers in this town………especially when they have fangs. What’re you doing around here?”
Con despite his own free will, noticed he was hissing as he talked. The damn instincts overtaking his will of survival from the unknown vampire. "Yes I'm lost, does it look like I'm from around here?" Con bared his fangs, another instinct kicking in from the proximity of the vampire.
Con cleared his throat and tried to calm down. *Take a chill pill Con, I don't think he is here to kill you* Con smiled the best he could and straightened out of his defensive position. "Sorry, but being a vampire yourself you know not to just appear out of freaking no where." he laughed.
Con extended his hand and shook the other vampires hand. "Names of Kyle, but I would prefer to be called Concieved, or Con for short." he smiled again.
He looked around the rooftops, sniffing to see if there were more of him, so far it smelt clear, but he couldn't be sure as the scents around him were still all jumbled up.
Con sighed and gestured around him. "First of all, how the hell do you get back to the main road. And second how the hell do you stand all the smells around here, its like being in a huge slaughter house." Con looked around and perked his eyebrows. "Is there anymore surprises coming my way? or are you the only one here?" Con quizzed the vampire. "And why the hell do you have werewolf smell all over you? Is there a pack I should be wary about?"
Con didn't mind werewolves, it was just that sometimes they didn't take to friendly to his kind. He cringed at the first time he met a werewolf. He shook the memory out of his head and tried to regain his composure.

The other vamp seemed a bit edgy as he let out hisses as he bared his fangs at Desmond. He asked Desmond if it looked like he was from around here and Des took a moment to give the man a quick look over before deciding he definitely did not fit in around here. “Nope, definitely not. Truthfully, it looks like you belong in the 80’s.” Desmond chuckled at the friendly joke and noticed the man relax a bit. The man mentioned he should know better to appear out of nowhere being a vampire and all. Des laughed at that before returning a comment of his own. “Well, as a vampire you should know better than clattering noisily on rooftops………you’re not fat enough nor jolly enough to be Santa Clause so what exactly are you doing here?” The man offered his hand and introduced himself as Kyle but preferred to be called Con. It was an odd name but Desmond had heard worse in his time. Desmond cautiously shook the man’s hand as he gave his own name. “Desmond Everard. Des if you’re feeling lazy.”
Con asked a series of questions beginning with how to find the main road. Desmond simply nodded to the east before continuing. “Just keep heading east till you reach the city limits then you’re home free. The sun rises in that direction though so just be aware.” Des cocked his head to the side as he pondered what Con meant about the jumble of smells. It was true that a variety of different species lived in the area but he never seemed to notice it. Then again his girlfriend was a wolf, his closest friend was a human, and little Ali was a vamp so he was quite use to the mixture of scents in the air. He shrugged nonchalantly before responding to Con. “You get use to it I guess.”
Con looked around uneasily as if looking for something to jump out from the shadows and say BOO! He finally asked if Des was alone or if he should be expecting any other surprises. “No surprises. Just me.” The guy didn’t seem to trust to easily but that was understandable given what he was. When you’ve lived as long as some vampires have, you find that trust is a hard thing to come by. Con wrinkled his nose at a smell before asking Des why he was covered in the scent of wolf. Desmond laughed heartily at that, not even realizing that Codie’s scent was rolling off him in waves. It was pleasing to Des knowing that Codie was in some way with him even though she was at home. Her scent and his had become mixed together like a good strong cocktail. Des looked back to Con wondering what he would think of a vampire dating a wolf. He was about to find out. “That would be the smell of my girlfriend.” He watched Con amusingly awaiting his reaction to that.
