Cali made her way down the brick streets of London, sighing deeply as her eyelids fluttered. She was so tired, but she couldn't sleep. She kept a short pace. Heal, toe heal, toe. Her thoughts consumed her, and before she knew it, she was lost in her past, though her bare feet kept the same rythm. Heal, toe heal, toe. She absently reached up to work pale fingers through golden curls, and jumped, when she heard a small droplet of water hitting the brick from the roof of one of the buildings. She let out a deep breath, and sighed. How boring life can be. She started to move swifter, murmuring things to herself. Maybe she was crazy. Or hungry. She glanced up. Not a full moon yet, but she could change anyway....Yes, she'll change and go to find a midnight snack. She willed the change, and bent forward as her spine cracked, shifting from human to canine, her jaw shifting as well, changing from mouth to maul. Green-brown orbs changed to a light-ish gray as blue-black fur sprouted from her pores. Her maul opened, as her canines grew, to keep them from tearing at the soft tissue within. The blue-black wolf shifted it's weight, it's head swiveled as it searched for a snack. Nothing. Howling, the wolf sprinted forward, keeping gray orbs open at the sight of any movement. Nothing. An upper lip pulled back over white enamel, and the large animal growled deeply. It was hungry. Maybe some kind of animal would do. Maybe an unlucky cat, or a dog. The wolf turned and sprinted down an alley. A cat. The wolf jumped, and landed on the cat with a soft thud, tearing into the furry animal. After it was done, the wolf shifted again. After the painful change, Cali stood, and headed for her alley. Damn, how did she not think of tearing up her new dress with the change? She stopped at her alley, and turned into the darkness. She returned to the dim brick street, smoothing out the green dress she slipped on.
