Hiding in the shadows of the dark alley -- were there shadows, at night? -- Garth smiled to himself. There was a mortal, walking down the alley. It was that very instant that Garth smelled the blood. He didn't know what the human was doing, but it was his. Moving in closer, he continued to smell the air. From the scent, he deducted that the human was a female -- a young one. A grin spread over Garth's fangs; the young ones were always the most delicious. Such innocent blood.
Emerging from the shadows, Garth stepped right in front of the path the girl was travelling. "Hey miss," he cooed smoothly. "Don't ye know that ye aren't supposed ta travel the streets alone at night?" He asked, his voice like silk, gently running into the girl's ears. Her pale face looked horrified, shocked.
"Such big teeth..." She started. Garth was reminded of the Grimm fairy tale, Little Red Riding Hood. Garth was the big bad wolf -- he liked the thought of that. The little blonde standing before him was even wearing a red coat and yellow rain boots. Was it raining? Garth hadn't even noticed. Concentrating on the climate, Garth realized that there were little beads of water patting him on the head. Never having minded the rain, Garth remained nonchalant and didn't change his expression.
"Ye won't know the rapture of the bite," Garth responded finally, moving in closer to the girl. She was backing up, slightly -- out of fear, perhaps. That was right - she was smart. Garth was certainly someone to be afraid of; he could kill this soon-to-be victim in an instant, but decided to refrain. He'd play with her, for a little while. She was like a chicken on a farm. They were played with a while, but everyone knew what demise would come to the 'beloved' farm animal.
"What?" she asked, bewildered -- confused. Garth was tempted to say 'All the better to eat you with, my dear,' but resisted. It wouldn't be appropriate, not yet. To appease her, even if it was only slightly, he flashed a smile. The muscles in the young woman's temples relaxed, and Garth knew that she was clueless as to what was soon to come. Garth would never tell her; taking victims by suprise was his forte. Scared blood always tasted much more delectable than the blood of those who were expecting it.
Garth could hardly wait for the crimson liquid to flow down the throat. He nearly started drooling at the thought of it; it was the soda that the vampires drank, the special sweet treat that they only got every so often. And in this sense, Garth had a very sweet tooth -- as a matter of a fact, he had two sweet teeth that longed for this treat.

Giselle stalked down the narrow street scowling, she hated the rain. It always seemed that her attitude depended on the weather. Clear black nights was her favorite time to hunt. When it rained, mortals tended to stay indoors, this annoyed her to no end. How was she supposed to get a good meal when all the mortals were at home watching tv eating left over lasagna?
The rain also washed away mortal scents from the street. Giselle loved to come out on hunting days and the sweet scent of mortals would fill her senses. Not tonight though, there was no one out on the streets and stores were closed. Giselle was very thirsty, this added to her sour attitude.
About to round the corner, Giselle heard growls emitting from the shadows near a tree. It was only a dog. Giselle gave it a venomous look, it whimpered and fled. She reached the corner and lo and behold! A mortal girl was standing mere feet from her, but she looked upset and confused. Giselle put on a warm smile and stepped lightly toward her.
She would be all nice and ask where her mother was and then when she runs, Giselle will go in for the kill. Her plan would have been perfect until a closer look showed there was another vampire present. He was next to the girl! Talking to the girl! Giselle's kill! How dare he! Her smile faded back into her scowl. She would have to eat dinner and then deal with the vampire who was on her turf. Giselle cantered to the girl catching her fangs in her soft neck. She looked up at the vampire and glared poisonously.

Garth had just been preparing himself to pull the girl in close, and sink his teeth into her neck graciously. He was longing for that wonderful, metallic taste to be running through his mouth and down his throat. However, just as he went to drag the blonde girl to his cold, dead body -- a woman came up, suddenly, and bit the potential victim in the neck. So, she was a vampire too, he deducted. In that instant, Garth grabbed the girl from the woman's grip and sunk his teeth in daringly, sucking out as much blood as he could. The theif had already taken some of the red treat, leaving a crimson kiss on the opposing side of the girl's neck.
Once the blood was all gone from the victim's neck, Garth dropped her to the ground carelessly and glared at the other vampire who had tried to steal this formerly blood-filled body from him. "What the hell did you think you were doing? That was supposed to be my meal." Garth stared at the woman before her, with her auburn hair and piercing green eyes. She was giving him such a nasty look -- why was she mad at him? She'd tried to steal his food! She was mad at him for no reason ... was this woman insane?
Garth continued to stand in front of her, deciding to block her path until she did something for him. He wasn't sure what he wanted, but he needed some kind of payback from this woman. As beautiful as she was, she seemed to be very evil -- and ultimately stupid. Although he respected evil, he never liked it when people tried to take his feed.

Giselle sat on the pavement dumbfounded. Did that vampire actually pull her away from the girl and then suck her dry? Giselle gawked at him. He was indeed sucking the girl dry. Giselle got up and gave the vampire a shove. "Didn't your mother ever teach you to share?" she sneered. "I'm hungry what do you think? How heartless can you get? Do you not see that there are no humans out here?" Giselle gave him another hard shove. This could only end in violence.
The nerve of this guy! He thought he could get away with stealing her kill. "Who do you think you are anyway? This is my turf, you should have smelled that a while back." She wanted very much to hurt this vampire. He was dashingly handsome though. He had a long face and gorgeous eyes. For mortal women he would be to die for. His nose fit perfectly on his face, and she bet those lips could do some serious kissing. She was not interested in him though. She learned her lesson a while ago. They say they love you and then one day they are just gone. She would not be tempted by this fool, she could never love him.

"Didn't your mother teach you never to steal?" Garth countered angrily. Stealing his food was never a good idea. Garth was evil right down to the bone. Usually, he was far more kind to vampires than he was to humans - this was obvious. You weren't supposed to befriend your kill, it defeated the purpose. Besides, what good could they possibly do when they were alive? Humans were only useful if they had tasty blood.
This woman standing before him, now she was delectable. She had the most beautifully pale face he'd ever seen. It wasn't waxy, like most other vampire women - and her lips were fit for -- no! What was going on? He was not having feelings for this woman. He didn't even have a heart, he never had. Even when he was a human. He stepped close to her, so his face was just above hers, and their bodies were almost touching. "If you still want to kiss some neck," Garth said, "It's my weakness."

That really tore it. Giselle reared back and punched Garth squarely between the eyes. What a jerk, was he actually flirting with her? "If you know what's good for you then you'd leave me alone!" she was fuming. She would not let it happen again. This vampire pushed her over the edge with way too much force. She went back up to his face for more. This time she kicked him in the groin.
"Who the hell do you think you are anyway? Why would I be interested in such an arrogant fool?!" He was really cute though. Maybe she should have taken up his offer and kissed him, those lips were very tempting. No, she could not do that again. Why did she even think that? He almost reminded her of... she couldn’t even bring herself to think of the name. He left her and he never came back. Realizing her expression changed slightly to a miserable look she switched back to her piercing eyes and threatening scowl growling slightly. She hoped to god he didn’t notice.

Garth stumbled back as an immediate result of the punch. "What the-" Garth howled, holding his face as if it were a porcelain cup. Proceeding that, he emitted a long string of curses that even sailors would find insulting. "Are you crazy?!" Garth said without thinking, glaring at this woman for punching him. Before he could do anything further, she was off on another fury of fists, each one hitting Garth in the face, seeming to get harder and more painful. It was a good thing that he had no blood, or else this could've gotten messy.
The grand finale was a knee to the groin, which really took the cake. Garth's hands fled from his face, crossing over his stomach as he kneeled down with a groan. Oh, she was really going to get it now. Just as he was about to really let her have it, this woman was off on another long-winded monologue. He had really picked the wrong woman to deal with tonight ... but he not about to forget that she'd attempted to take his victim. The body of the blonde woman was still lying behind them, actually, not too far. The smell was grotesque, but Garth was barely noticing that. There were other things he was focusing on -- pain, for example.
After she'd finished her little speech, Garth stood up -- mostly pain free -- and got up close to her again. "Try that again, madmoiselle," Garth purred daringly, his eyes intoxicating. "Angry sex, I've heard, is much more pleasurable." This was merely a distraction -- getting his ass kicked wasn't on his agenda of things to do. To distract her further, he leaned down and kissed her, right on the lips. He was, as one might've guessed, an expert. This woman was preferable to that blonde, particularly since she was a vampire -- so he had centuries to try and get her under his wing.

Giselle stood over Garth smirking. He had it coming anyway. He deserved that. He dared her to give him some more. She was just about to reward him another kick to be spiteful, but then he gave her an insult that earned him much more than a single kick. She was still thinking of ways to torture him when she felt something cold against her lips. She looked up and saw that it was Garth's lips on her's. Kissing her. Oh, he was going to get one hell of a beating now.
Giselle wanted to do nothing more than to tear away from him. She thought about it again and it didn't sound as good as it did a second ago. Did she want this? Was it possible to obtain a boyfriend after so long? Of course not! But still... he was a really good kisser. For a split second Giselle kissed back, then upon realizing what she was doing she gave Garth a hard shove away.
"Damn it it you stupid son of a bitch! What do you take me for? Are you a prostitute or something? Did you plan this? OH MY GOD ARE YOU STALKING ME?!" Giselle stood up tall and aimed a kick under his chin. That'll hurt in the morning. "Arrogant asshole."

This woman kissed him back for a moment, and in that instant, Garth could deduct that Giseelle was a good kisser. However, the pleasure only lasted a brief second, for Giselle had decided that round-kicking him square in the jaw was the way to go. Howling, Garth grabbed his chin and snapped it back into place. He willed himself not to be in pain, believing that pain was simply a state of mind. This probably wouldn't work, but at the moment he was determined to get what he wanted.
She was fully cursing him out, which wasn't exactly what Garth wanted -- but he'd get her on his side eventually. Slinking forward, he slipped his arm around Giselle's waist and forced her against his body. This put her in a vulnerable position. She wouldn't be able to punch him or kick him, and that was a very good thing for Garth. He didn't think he could take any more punches or kicks. Giselle had quite the firey temper.
"Calm down, darling," Garth whispered daringly into her ear, "When are you just going to let go?" Okay, so ten minutes ago he had been ready to rip her head off. The only reason he was doing all of this was to try and get her to stop being so ... violent.

Giselle's expression was stunned when Garth wrapped his arms around her waist. Why didn't this guy just give it up already? Didn't he get the message after the knee to the groin? Giselle was perfectly clear when she kicked his face. He was just asking for a beating now, he was so thick.
Giselle was in a bad position, her arms were pinned against her sides. There was of course one part of her body that wasn't restrained, she used it to her advantage. Giselle head butted him in the forehead hoping that would throw him off so she could squirm away. She also added a string of curses.
"You fucking pervert! What does get away from me mean to you? How can you so calmly assault a woman? Let go or you the rest of your life miserable. Your days are numbered now," with that she tore through his flesh with her fangs in his neck. She bit down hard and extracted some blood. She then retracted and bit again violently. She finished it off with a stomp on his foot. Heels were a girls best friend sometimes.

"It's not assault if the other person likes it. How you forget so quickly that you kissed me back," Garth said boldly, backing up before she could stomp on his foot. Although she did get him in the neck, it didn't hurt that much; he'd been bitten there once, it wasn't going to be painful to be bitten there again. Besides, what good would it be if she bit him? His blood was useless on her. He was a vampire; he was missing the liveliness in his blood system.
Rubbing his neck protectively, he stared at Giselle. "Might I introduce myself," Garth started, smiling smoothly. "Garth. Assault me again and you might just learn my last name." He raised his eyebrow suspiciously, his look daring her to do anything else. There wasn't any reason for her to abuse him anymore ... she couldn't reach him, he was standing a good solid foot away, and he wasn't touching her. If she tried to run, he had a quick reflex and could latch onto his arm. He wasn't getting out of this situation without something in return. She'd tried to steal his food, for Pete's sake! He wasn't ever going to forget that. As a matter of a fact, he was still angry about it.

Giselle gave Garth a blank look when she didn't have the pleasure of stomping on his foot. She wanted so badly to see him yelp or something. Her expression shaped a scowl when he made the assault comment. Giselle pointed a manicured finger at him. "Listen "Garth", It was called an assault when you were stupid enough to grab my waist. And please, that kiss meant nothing. It was hardly a kiss at all. What do you want me to do? Pay you for that? You prostitute," she sneered.
She didn't like Garth at all. Well... maybe she did, how was she supposed to know. He did in fact assault her. He definitely was some sort of stalker. She didn't feel like having this guy following her anymore. "I don't have to tell you my name "Garth". Please just leave."

"I do believe you've assaulted me then as well, madmoiselle," Garth said, gesturing to the cuts and scrapes that had been the result of Giselle's fists of fury. "I did not insinuate that I wanted you to pay for that kiss. Your reaction was payment enough." Garth raised an eyebrow. He ran a hand through his dark hair and gave her a lopsided smile. That smile had won over many women in the past. He had a feeling that his smile wouldn't be winning over this particular woman ... it would take much more than that.
"I will not leave until I know your name," Garth persisted, crossing his arms devilishly. There wasn't much more he could lose. He'd lost his dignity as soon as he discovered that he'd been beaten up by a woman -- though, that wasn't really his fault; he could never hit a woman -- and there was no possible way that he could lose interest in the situation. It was just too good.

"Ha! Me assault you? That was merely self-defense, ever hear of it?" she cackled. For a fact, she did kiss back but only for a second! How could she resist anyway? He was perfect and she was perfect. They'd make the perfect couple! If Garth could somehow change her mind about relationships between vampires, then maybe, just maybe this could work out.
She was sort of beginning to like the guy. He was so persistent and he wanted her. She kissed back because she forgot the feeling of a vampires cold kiss on her lips and she missed it. Garth just happened to be the guy willing to kiss her. Giselle never kissed another man before other than Jack. This then, could mean something.
Giselle wanted him too, but she knew it was too good to be true. Vampires left each other. It was in their nature, the same way Jack left her. He wanted to see the world and it was more important to him than the woman he loved. Giselle didn't even know if he met other lady vampires.
She didn't want to make the mistake she made already. She had to stay away from Garth for her own good, but maybe not his own good. What did she know about this vampire? He's a stalker and very cocky. He was also devilishly handsome.
Giselle’s eyes narrowed and her voice grew cooler, "listen, you don't know why I kissed you back. That is all part of my history which is none of your business," she said in a hushed tone. The smile Garth had just given her would have made her melt if she hadn't looked away. He was so cute the way he did everything. He could assault a woman and then make them go all googly eyes on him. It was impossible not to love him.
"I will tell you my name so you can remember vividly the woman who beat the shit out of you. My name is Giselle," she gave in. She wanted to tell him her name but had to word it right. She already built up on the 'I'm better than you' act so she figured she should finish it.
"Garth, what is a handsome guy like you hitting on a woman like me. Look around you. There are a lot more vampire ladies prettier than myself you can go assault. I'm sure they'd enjoy that," she sneered. She really didn't believe there was a woman prettier than her. She was the most beautiful thing on the face of the Earth, she was a goddess.
