The night, dark and beautiful. Seth was going to have to get used to it, if he were to find what he was looking for. He was coming from the house that his sister was currently inhabiting, set on a quest that baffled his beliefs. He had been walking the streets of L.A for nearly two hours since leaving his sisters home, where did he have to go? how would he find them? Truth be told, he hadnt the slightest idea. As he walked he replayed the memory over and over again: The cold Iron Gate Creaking its way open as he gently pushed past, the old abandoned house loomed over him like a giant wall of death and decay. he had counted the steps as he climbed them to reach the front door, seven, seemed odd to him at the time. his hand extending to the door only to hesitate a moment before knocking. The sound echoing through the house made it seem his instinct had lied to him and that there was nobody here. Only the sound of the slightest movement inside told him to stay, his eyes glued to the threshold, waiting. The great lionhead knob turned, rust falling from the lack of use, and from inside peered an attractive young woman. "katie? Katie is that you?" Seth said before he could even think. As she answered her voice was fluid, controlled, and very graceful, " Yes my dear brother, it is me i have been waiting for you for awhile." As he left the realm of memories and snapped back into the present he realized he had no idea where he was, his mind was elswhere but his legs kept moving. His sister was a vampire, something he had never believed in. Next they were going to tell him that there are werewolves...ok maybe he was getting carried away. He knew for sure that he had to help his sister, and to do that he had to find a vampire...what did she call it? Group? no... Clan?..no...Coven! thats it! A vampire coven. But where in the hell would he find that? As he rushed down the streets he compared all the buildings to each other trying to think which a vampire would find most suitable. None of which seemed to jump out to him and say VAMPIRES LIVE HERE!. With nearly diminished hopes Seth began to slow his pace, taking the next right he could find he began to trudge his way home. He had failed. Now there was no way he could ever get the help he needed for his sister, she would be an immortal forever. He had hoped of finding a vampire and maybe it would be able to turn her back, he wasnt sure if that was even possible , but he had to try.

Gwen was exhausted. She had just got off work after working a double at the cafe, and of course today they had been extremely busy, and they only had three waitresses counting herself, she had not had a spare moment to even think about taking a break. So here she was walking down a street in L.A because she had chosen today to walk to work. She was definitely regretting that decision right about now. She was still wearing her apron over her sundress (they didn't have a very strict dress code at work, Claire didn't really care) because as soon as Claire had closed and said everyone could go home Gwen was the first one out the door.
She stopped for a moment to lean against the wall of a building and shut her eyes for a minuet. Her whole body was sore, and she was so tired. Her eyes snapped open a moment later when she thought about her apartment and her maltese puppy Lily. "Oh God! She hasn't been out all day! And I bet she's torn the apartment up!" she thought as she pushed herself off the wall and hurried down the street, she had to get home and see what that little fur ball had done while she was gone. She should have called one of her friends and had them check on Lily and let her out while she was working. She hadn't been paying attention to where she was going, she was so focused on getting to her apartment before Lily could cause too much damage, that the next thing she knew Gwen had run into something sold and was knocked flat on her bottom. She stood up and muttered a curse before looking up at the offending object in her way, only to discover it was a person. "I am so sorry! I should of been watching where I was going!" she apologized a blush heating her cheeks.

Darkness had began to close in all around Seth as shops and home lights went out for the night to await the rising sun. His feet grew more heavy with each step, begging him to stop and rest, so he did. Seth had chose to rest on the curb of what would have been a more active street during the day, cars and people heading to and from work, children running and playing after being let out of school. It seemed like over night everything he knew to be normal shattered, and now he lived in a whole new world where vampires actually existed. Seths mind strayed as he rested only to be snapped back into the present by an owl flying nearby. He closed his eyes and sat in silence for a minute before he pushed himself up from the curb and continued his course home.
Seth was still a ways from home but at the moment it didnt really seem to matter. His eyes watched as one foot took a step after the other, he noticed that he was subconsciously dodging any lines or cracks like he had done him and his sister would play together as kids. ~But things will never be the same now,~ tears were making there way down his cheeks as he thought of his sister and her newly found immortality. ~ only if there was a way to....~ !SMASH! Before Seth could think anything else the air had been shoved from his body, as he doubled over to try to breath he saw somebody on the floor.
" OH! Damn, im sorry!" He said as he held out his hand. With his other free hand he reached up and moved the few strands of hair that had fallen infront of his face out of the way and smiled down at the woman that had ran into him. For a split second he wondered if she might be a vampire. She looked normal, but then again Seth had never seen a vampire other than his sister and didn't know if they all looked like she did. With his hand outstretched in an offer to help her up he introduced himself, " The name's Seth, are you ok?"

She took the offered hand. "Oh its fine, Im fine, it really was my fault I should of been watching where I was going. I wasn't really paying attention, I was thinking about the mess my crazy puppy must of made while I was working." she said with a small laugh. She smiled when he introduced him self. "Im Gwen, and dont worry Im perfectly fine. I've dealt with worse," she said with a laugh. "Are you okay though? I should of been paying attention, Im so sorry." she said blushing again.
She glanced down at her watch for a moment. It was late, and she wondered what he was doing out on the streets this late at night. It was rather odd, there usually never were any people (well aside from the homeless guy on the corner) on this street, she knew that, after all she walked this route every day when she went to and came from work. She glanced back up at him, the curiosity getting the best of her. " This may sound odd, or rude, but Im really curious, can't help it." she said with a small giggle. "But do mind if I ask what your doing out here this late? I know its L.A and all, but there is usually no one out here on this street this late." she rambled. "Im sorry if that offended you or anything."[/b she said blushing an suddenly finding her apron from work very interesting. Her curiousity always got the better of her and put her into these sort of situations. She couldn't count how many times she had gotten hurt from wanting to explore something new (and usually unstable), or the trouble she got herself into from asking odd or too many questions. One of these days her curiosity was going to get her into a situation that she wouldn't be able to get out of.

As Seth took her hand and pulled her up he felt the warmth and how alive she felt, this made him think of his sister and how she would never feel alive, or even warm. He quickly shook this thought from his head as Gwen seemed to be talking from nerves. Seth Smiled as she apologized again "you know, you apologize too much." He said with a kind smile. As she gave her his name and asked if he was ok he moved to take a strand of hair that had fallen in her face out of the way then responded, " never been in better shape Miss Gwen." He watched her as she toyed with her apron nervously and glanced at her watch, Seth was surprised when she asked what he was doing out so late but he quickly recovered and decided just to tell her the truth, like she would believe him anyway. " well, you see, my sister has been turned into a vampire and now i need to find another vampire to see if he can make her human again and if i cant do that ill just have to be turned into one so i can protect my sister!" Seth had just blurted it it all out as if hed been holding it in waiting to let someone know, as soon as he had finished he clamped his hand over his mouth and glanced at Gwen. He parted his fingers and asked "Was that too much at one time?"Seth hoped she wouldnt think hes crazy and try to mace him or something so he stayed quiet and waited to see what she would say or do. Hell even he didnt want to believe vampires existed

She blushed when he pushed her hair away from her face and said she apologized too much. "Sorry"she said and then giggled. "I guess its a habit." she said giving him a bright smile. She grinned when he said he was alright. "Thats good. Im really clumsy, my mother never could understand it. She's so graceful, I trip over air." she said with a laugh.
Her eyes widened at his next words, and she felt a little faint. To be honest vampires could explain some of the recent murders and how the bodies had been found. But it was still too fantastical for her to really grasp. "B-but vampires dont exist! Are you sure she's not just sick or something? There's no such thing as vampires...right?" she said. She felt a little dizzy. "I think I need to sit down." she said as she moved herself towards a bench. She laughed a little when he asked if all the information was too much at one time. "Just a bit"
She sighed and looked back at him. "Vampires cant exist, its impossible, I mean if they did I would have run into one by now wouldnt I have? I work late almost every night and walk home alone, I would be a perfect target if they were real. But Im still here, and deffinitely still human." she said. This was all too crazy.
