Accepted! Welcome to Crimson Kiss
Name:
Aubrey Mayor
Age:
22
Where do you Live?:
London, England
Profession:
Amateur Photographer and Librarian
History:
Aubreys' mothers' name had been Emalie Rice. She worked for an agency that tried to maintain certain paraphernalia. The heart of New Orleans is covered black with Voodoo practitioners and modern day Gypsies. The idea was to make sure that if it was possible to use the dark arts, The Agency would be there to control it and make sure that no humans ever found out or were ever affected or harmed. Vampires and werewolves were the highest targets.
The Agency was called New Dawn. Emalie Rice was the best runner they had. She was known as The Executioner. She hunted out the evil and destroyed them. One night they asked her to take out the master vampire of a coven. He had done nothing wrong, but New Dawn wanted to start wiping out all things that were not 'human' starting with the vampires.Emalie had refused the job. The agency tried to persuade her with no luck. Finally, in an attempt to publicly frame the coven master, they slaughtered Aubrey's father and burned their home to the ground. They forgot to destroy one thing. Aubrey. Emalie was offered protection by the coven. She took Aubrey and went into hiding. Aubrey grew up round vampires. She knew nothing of the animosity or fear that surrounded the new family that were protecting the two females. Aubrey also didn't realize that no one believed vampires were real, she didn't even know they were any different.
Underground wars began to unfold. A dark secret that the humans would occasionally whisper into one another ears. There was no such things as Vampires or Werewolves, no such thing as Voodoo Priests or ancient rituals. That's what they wanted to believe, that is what they were taught and told to believe. They were wrong. The agency had begun breaking down forces and driving the not-so-normal out of the city. That's how my Emalie Rice, The Executioner, Dawn's Justice was murdered. Aubrey was only six years old when she watched th cruel slaughter of her mother. Only six years old when Jean-Claude, The Master Vampire took her and fled with his coven. Only six years old when here eyes were opened to the difference of the unnatural world she lived in and the natural one that she originally belonged too.
Jean-Claude raised Aubrey. As she grew older he let her know more and more of his secrets. By the time Aubrey was 18, she knew almost every aspect of his life. She also learned that The Agency would never stop hunting Jean-Claude's cove, or her. For some reason this terrified her protector. In order to keep her safe, Jean-Claude invented a new identity for Aubrey. He set up her living in London. He provided her with a bank account and even had acquired her a job. She had refused to go at first, stalling for an entire year. How could she leave them? Aubrey didn't want to be vampire, but she did not want to live among people who didn't believe they existed. They were as real as Aubrey herself and they were her family.
One night as she slept Gabriella, Jean-Claude's sister, went to Aubrey in her bed room. She told Aubrey of the threat of The Agency and how they were too soon to find the coven in hiding. She said that Jean-Claude needed her to leave to protect herself and the coven. One moment she was there, whispering her urgencies into Aubrey's young ear. Then, she had left her. Leaving behinde only soft sobs. Aubrey was prepared to leave the next night. She took time to memorize her family. Their ungodly perfection and beauty, their still and graceful way of moving silently, and their ability to be just as or more humane as humans. She loved them. None of them had asked for their life. Not even the ones who were centuries and centuries older than me. Not even my Jean-Claude. He went with her to the Airport. He held Aubrey close as it was time for her to leave. One second he was there, whispering in Aubrey's ear. Then he was gone.
Aubrey's mother and father had been slaughtered by humans. Humans who hated anything different from themselves. She was raised in a Vampire Coven.Vampires had saved her life and tried to save her mothers'. Aubrey is now forced to live among humans to protect that coven. Aubrey Mayor was now her name. It rolled off her tongue like fire. It meant little to her...it means nothing to you.
Personality:
Aubrey Mayor is obviously a tad bit angry at the world. She wants to try and fit in, but not by choice. It's only for the sake of the people who raised her. She is shy and quiet, but extremely curious. She cannot stop herself from getting into things that she shouldn't. She can't control her anger at certain times. But she can also be very sweet. Especially to people who are outcasts.
Aubrey Stood on a shore under a black fringe of trees. Her dark orbs watched the as lake lapped and rolled away into the dark. The moon hung huge and silver in the sky. The moonlight made glittery patterns on the water. Jean-Claude rose from the water. It streamed silver lines from his hair and shirt. His long black hair was in loose curls clinging to is face from being wet. His white shirt clung close to his body. Jean-clause slowly extended his hand out toward Aubrey's small frame.
Aubrey was wearing a long, dark dress. It was heavy and hung around her like a weight. Something inside the skirt made it stick out to either side like a tiny malformed hoop. A heavy cloak was pushed back over Aubrey's shoulders. It was autumn, and the moon was harvest-full.
Jean-Claude's voice floated to Aubrey. It was low and so deep that it was soothing. "Come with me.'
Aubrey stepped off the shore and sank into the water. It filled her skirt, soaking into her cloak. Aubrey frantically pulled the cloak off, letting it sink out of sight. The water felt as warm as bath water, as warm as blood. Aubrey raised up her hand to the moonlight, and to the liquid that was thick and dark streaming down. The liquid that she realized had never been water.
Aubrey stood in the shallows in a dress that she had never imagined, by a shore that she did not know, and stared at a beautiful man moving toward her, covered in glossy blood.
Aubrey woke from her dream gasping for air. Clutching he sheet, she felt her heart-rate slowly beginning to regulate. She had been dreaming of Jean-Claude again. Her slender fingers began tracing her face. "Oh Jean-Claude." Slowly she brought her knees up to her chin and wrapped her arms around them. "I don't want to be out here on my own. I want to come home. I want to be with you." Aubrey cried into her knees.
She knew at a very young age she was in love with him. She was even fairly certain that he knew. Nothing he had ever done or said had made her think that he was in love with her. Until the airport. The way he held her and what he whispered into her ear...Crystal blue eyes shut tightly, trying to hold the tears in. "I'm protecting you mon' petite. No one will hurt you as long as I am with you. I'm always with you mon' petite. " His voice filled her head like a lullaby and Aubrey was tempted to close her eyes and sleep. He had loved her. Why was that love not enough?
