[atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] ~~~~~~~~~~~~The Wedding~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Inora sat inside one of the two small white tents that had been erected at the wedding spot. She was shaking just slightly and the movements made the beautiful wedding dress she had found rustle. Today was finally the day that she was going to marry Dominic Theos and she was just a little bit nervous. There wasn't any worry that she was making the wrong decision or anything. Mostly she was worried that he would find himself standing on that bridge and realize that marrying a ditzy blonde like her was the last thing that he wanted to do.
Ali peeked her head in through the flap of the tent and motioned for Inora that it was time. Inora reached over and grabbed the bouquet sitting on the small table to her right. She looked in the floor length mirror opposite her and smoothed the dress down lightly. The dress itself was perfect, beautiful and fit her like a dream. But her hair wasn't any different than normal, she hadn't done anything except bend over, fluff, and flip. Her curls were wild but somehow that worked for her. It was perfect and she smiled at her reflection. She was ready.
Inora walked out of the tent, pushing the flap out of her way. She looked up and saw Nic standing, talking to the priest on the bridge. He hadn't seen her yet and she took that moment to stop and enjoy the picture. The bridge had been reserved for her, Nic, and the priest so all the guests were seated along the two sides of the river. They hadn't arranged things in any particular way, no divide between bride and groom's guests that way Nic didn't have to look out at the crowd and feel bad about his side being slightly emptier. All along the trails between the guest's seats were tiki torches lighting up the night with fire. No music was needed since the waterfall provided all the ambiance someone could want. There were tiny tealights strewn all along the bridge itself to light the couple for the guests.
As she was staring that the bridge, Inora's eyes met Nic's and he smiled expectantly. She grinned and nodded. The whole crowd stood up and she walked with evenly measured steps towards her future husband. Inora had to fight hard not to simply run up to meet him.
The ceremony was beautiful, and the cheers for their first kiss as Mr. and Mrs. Theos were incredible. Inora turned, her arm through that of her new husband, and the two of them walked back towards their guests. They would all head to a spot a little further into the woods where a much bigger tent had been set up to have a little dinner, some cake, and to party and dance.
The rest of the night was absolutely perfect, a beautiful first dance and delicious cake. Everyone had had a wonderful time and once everything was done, Nic and Nora were off to the airport to catch a flight to their hotel in Costa Rica.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~The Honeymoon~~~~~~~~~~~ Inora and Nic had been in Costa Rica for just under an hour. They'd both slept on the plane and been refreshed enough to continue their day. The hotel room was beautiful but Inora had been eager to get started at the beach. She had taken only a few moments while they were in the hotel room to change into her bathing suit. There had been one last shock in store for her as far as Nic was concerned. He walked out of the bathroom, with the board short bathing suit most men favored hanging low on his hips. She had bitten her lip in appreciation and then her eyes had drifted upward and gone wide in surprise. Splashed across his chest and shoulders was a tattoo, it scrawled along his beautiful skin and down his muscular arms. Inora had never expected him to have a tattoo. She'd never even really seen such a tattoo on a person before. In pictures sure, but not in reality.
She'd taken a few steps forward until she'd stood directly in front of him. Her fingers had trailed the outline of the tattoo starting at his wrist and working her way up. Inora wasn't obscene, she stopped just before she reached his chest where a lot of girls she knew would have deliberately driven him crazy by trailing it the rest of the way. "It's beautiful." She'd stated simply. And that had been the end of things. "Let's go!"
Now she was swinging happily in a hammock with Nic beside her, and she'd never been happier.
"How you doin Mr. Theos?" She asked, turning to him with a smile.
[atrb=width,435,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=0f0f0f] Have you ever got the feeling the life you're living isn't really your own? As if the life you have now was a dream or too good for what you deserved or ever expected. Dominic Theos had spent the entire day in a sort of twilight zone that belied any sort or reality he could have dreamt of. He got married today. April 11, 2010. How fast things had moved along. The wedding planning had been fairly easy, thanks to Inora's vast array of female friends and their enthusiasm for such things. Despite his fears, the ceremony had gone smoothly and the bouncers had had no call to be violent in any way. His fiance, or really his wife now, had been absolutely breathtaking. They'd done an excellent job on the whole thing, though he'd offered input where asked he'd pretty much allowed them to go for it.
The fact that it was in Oregon was bittersweet. His home. His house had already been put on the market, and his things moved to their home in New Orleans. It had been difficult, deciding that her business was more important than the place he'd always held onto as home, even in the time he'd spent in New Orleans. It wasn't home anymore though, he'd begun to remind himself, his home was wherever Inora was and she wanted to be in New Orleans. Smiling quietly at her as she dozed in the plane, he too had taken the time to doze off and rest. She was excited about the honeymoon, and being the adventurous woman that she was she had planned their explorations to begin as soon as they landed.
With a contended sigh, his lids slid shut and he slept for a time. Only to awake in Costa Rica as the captain's voice rang on the intercom. Check in at the hotel was simple, and then they were in their room changing. It was strange, the werewolf having the impulse to leave the room as she went to the bathroom to change when he realized he didn't have to. He could very well watch. But as if to put off that wall till later in the evening, he resisted and instead moved to change himself. Even without his inhibitions he would have changed quickly, and within moments he had tugged off his shirt, pulled on his swim trunks and was standing barefoot when she came out the door.
Granted, he'd seen her in a bathing suit before, but it was a different experience when he was allowed to look. Sighing in appreciation for the spectacle, his brow lifted at her widened eyes, the bewildering appearance taking him by surprise. Glancing down to see what exactly she was staring at his lips cracked in a knowing smile as his broad shoulders rolled. Of course, her touching it hadn't crossed his mind. It nearly sent a shiver down Mr. Theos' spine though it seemed his wife was merciful and not a particular tease. At least at present. It's beautiful. He laughed, a warm rich sound as he shook his head and followed her. "You're beautiful", he corrected.
It didn't take them half an hour to get to the beach and find a comfortable spot. There they lay in hammocks, the sound of her voice rousing him from the slight doze he'd fallen into. How you doin' Mr. Theos? He smiled sleepily and took her hand, pressing a kiss to the back of it quietly. "Perfect, Mrs. Theos. And you?" He was absolutely comfortable and the sound of waves and the smell of salt and that telltale honeysuckle that said she was nearby was the only comfort he needed at present. He hadn't begun to think over the rest of the day. It played out how it would and he wouldn't waste his time or energy straining over what it would lead to. Frankly, the wolf was content to curl up at the woman's feet.
[atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] Speaking of feeling like your life was working out too good to be true, that's exactly how Inora felt as she looked over at her husband. Husband! That very term kept running through her head over and over, practically shouting at her with jazz hands to look at it, to cuddle it close to her heart. Her hand was taken into Nic's own much larger one and a kiss was pressed to the delicate skin. She sighed happily and responded to his question, delighting in hearing herself dubbed 'Mrs. Theos.' She never thought she'd be anybody's 'mrs' it had been a dream that she had never admitted to anyone, not even to herself fully. To someday find a man that she could be happy with, who would want to be with her forever, to become his wife. It was just another dream of her's that had mercifully come true. She was a lucky lucky woman.
"Absolutely content, feeling very comfortable in my new position as your mrs." She smiled sweetly at him and tilted her head back to look at the beautiful blue sky above them, just visible through the fronds of the palm tree her hammock was attached to. "This is such a beautiful place." Her fingers twined into his without thought, a gesture that had quickly become commonplace and instinctive.
However, Inora was not one to be able to sit still for long. She could see that Nic was threatening to slip off into the neverland of dreams and she wanted to get a least a little water playtime in before they hit the sack. Which...hitting the sack in the marital sense was something that she had very deliberately not been thinking about. She loved Nic but a large part of her was worried about what was going to happen between them. And she wanted it to happen, she did, she was just a little scared. Scared that it would hurt, scared that all she would be able to think about during...it would be Sevanni. She didn't want to ruin this moment, that should be intensely romantic, with fear.
Inora violently shook her head, blonde hair tumbling down out of the half hearted twist she'd put it in when they'd lain down in the hammocks. She didn’t want to think about things like that anymore. She would not ruin the time they had now but thinking about later. Bridges would be crossed or burned down when they came to them. In order to keep herself from thinking however, she needed to do some, to be active. To play! She lifted her smooth, somewhat tanned legs over the side of the hammock and stood up, managing to exit the hammock rather more gracefully than she’d entered it. Inora crossed the small space between her hammock and Nic’s and leaned over to rest her elbows on his toned stomach lightly, so she wouldn’t hurt him, and look at his beautiful eyes.
“Come play with me Nicy.” She put on her best pouty face, mimicking Henri’s best puppy dog eyes. Henri was living with Ali for the honeymoon’s duration. Inora hadn’t been willing to leave him home alone, the poor baby would have been traumatized. Inora slid her hands down Nic’s arms and grabbed his hands, pulling gently to get him to sit up. “Let’s go swim or play volleyball or something. I feel so…lazy.”
[atrb=width,435,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=0f0f0f] It appeared adjustment was something that was going to be plentiful in the Theos household. Granted they hadn't really dated, but in essence Dominic had been her best friend for some months now. Months and months of ending their nights with a movie together and a sleepy murmur good night. Thinking about it now, Nic relished in the idea he wouldn't have to watch her walk down the hall alone anymore. And to be quite honest the thoughts that ran through his head as she mused about the scenery were about scenery as well though much more vital than any landscape he'd stare at. Though as it seemed a fitting comment, a small smile cracked his lips as a "Mmmhm." exited in agreement.
His eyes were shut, and Nora and he's thoughts were very much on the same thing. Naturally the werewolf was lusting after his new bride. Who wouldn't be? Frankly it was unusual that they hadn't gone away at night, shared the marriage bed and today they were recovering from the high. At least that's how Dominic had thought it seemed like as Hollywood portrayed it. Then again their case was a special one. Most couples didn't need to worry about a first time by the time they wed, it was a well practiced field. Moreover most couples didn't deal with the post traumatic stress of rape. Breathing a sigh meant to relinquish the stress of her response, he leveled with the idea that he'd have to play the waiting game a while longer.
You had to hand it to the guy, he had patience. Which was probably a good thing cause the man had yet to handle the phenomena that was his wife's entourage. Seriously, there were a vast menagerie of friends he would have to brave. Not that fear was really the right sentiment, it was more like restlessness. It promised to be a day filled with squealing, giggles, misunderstandings and shopping. Nearly groaning at the thought of all the high pitched noises, the wolf put off such thoughts. But at that point he wouldn't have time to think anyway. His wife was perching herself on his stomach, his eyes opening to peer up at her with silent amusement.
Come play with me Nicy. Aha. He didn't need to be asked twice. As she moved to tug him up and spoke again he was already planning his game. Let's go swim or play volleyball or something. I feel so…lazy. He almost murmured something about it supposed to be a relaxing trip but held his tongue with a smile, gently making himself roll out of the hammock and onto the sand. He landed with a thud, eyes laughing as he eyed her playfully. "You have exactly five seconds to start running for that water before I pick you up and toss you in it." Of course by toss he probably wouldn't just throw her in there. But he would catch her and haul her in.
"One……." His grin widened, eyes aglitter with amusement. "Two…." Sweetheart I'd get going, who knows how fast he could get up. He trained himself for this stuff. Do you have any idea what that man could do? A small chuckle rose past his lips and he shifted, wiggling with a small threatening wink. Are you particularly scared?
[atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] "You have exactly five seconds to start running for that water before I pick you up and toss you in it." Inora gave a little squeal of glee at his words, but made no motion to move, instead she held up her arms in defense. He began his countdown and she scurried in the opposite direction of the water to hide behind one of the trees. Her feet slid just a little in the sand, but she somehow managed to not slip and fall. His countdown reached it's end and as he came towards her, she let out another screech and took off.
The beach was pretty deserted so no one was there to witness her mad dash, or him chasing after her. And thankfully no one was there to witness when the sand finally got the better of her.
Inora was not a woman known for her grace, far from it in fact. When she had been younger, she had been plagued by bouts of extreme clumsiness that included tripping while seated and falling down flights of stairs. That last had happened too many times to count, the worst of which being when she'd gone to visit Washington D.C with her schoolmates. She had managed to fall down every single stair in that city before the day was done.
It was one of the few things that she'd been made fun of for in high school, the other was her horrible allergies that luckily she'd managed to get over these past few years since graduating early.
However, while she didn't have grace in everyday life, she had learned how to fall with remarkable grace. Her foot slid out from under her and automatically she twisted in just the right way to keep any of her limbs from being crushed or broken, though her butt did hit the ground a little harder than she would have liked.
"Ooo, owwie!" She gasped out and then turned to look behind her and began crawling to try and keep out of Nic's reach. "You'll never take me alive!" She yelled out melodramatically before falling back onto the sand and laughing aloud at the sky. "Or maybe you will. I'm horrible at this whole running away and saving my life thing."
Rather than try to fight anymore she allowed herself to do what she really wanted, she lifted her arms and held them open in his direction. "Take me! I'm yours." She didn't think about any possible inferences that could be made from that statement, especially on a honeymoon. Inora, as has been established before, is an innocent. Please forgive any teasing statements made in her naivety. She doesn't mean any harm.
[atrb=width,435,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=0f0f0f] The squeal that liberated itself from his wife's lips made the werewolf grin widely as he made himself lay still in the sand and give her her due moments to prepare for his playful antics. And playful they would be. Dominic was fairly skilled when it came to being gentle and tender, it came naturally to him and even reminded him of his younger sibling. It was surprising how well the man had recovered, though his mother had been difficult to stomach, the loss of her mind over her husband's suicide instilling in him an unspoken desire to live at all costs should he ever find himself married. And he did. Smiling wider at the thought, he hefted himself upright seconds after saying "Five", casually beginning to stride after her.
Her first attempt at hiding made him laugh aloud, a signal that that would not save her from his little tirade, not at all. And then she was off again…He still wasn't running, because frankly he had two speeds - walking or sprinting, jogging just seemed…ridiculous. But as she lost her footing he found himself wishing he'd let himself catch her sooner, her gasp as the air left her body enough to put him on edge as he did finally sprint to her, even as she began to crawl. You'll never take me alive! At that point he blinked skeptically and placed his hands on his hips, staring down at her as she did this only to have her topple into the granules.
Or maybe you will. I'm horrible at this whole running away and saving my life thing. He winced but managed to keep a smile as well, shaking his head as he bent down as if to inspect her and see if she was alright like some mother hen. The action of her flinging her arms up nearly made him jump but the words she said were enough to calm him. Take me! I'm yours. Blowing air out his nose in a seemingly agreeing snort, he took her beneath her arms and gently hoisted her up, appearing to have completely abandoned any thoughts even vaguely resembling play in the quietness of those warm eyes.
Buuuut things aren't always as they appear are they? With actions that fit the words quick and effortless he scooped her up and held her against his chase only to take off towards the lapping waves, a devilish look in his eyes. "Wifey, it's gonna be pretty salty." He warned dramatically as if it even mattered to either of them. Just meant that they'd have to shower tonight though that seemed to already have been on the schedule. Guh. The good epiphanies just kept rolling. While tonight did not look promising someday he would get to shower with his wife. Almost sighing he was pulled from his less than g-rated musings back to reality by the waves breaking first on his ankles and then his calves.
He didn't stop until they had begun to hit his abdomen. By now he could imagine the water had engulfed her toes, the beginning of her rear end and the slope of her back. The tips of her hair were being sloshed around by the movement of the water and he stared down at her with a loving smile, a perfect image of any husband…before he dropped her. His hands never really did leave her, but Inora Theos was properly dunked before he brought her back up. He laughed quietly, not in a cruel manner but in a "GOT YOU!" way. Carefully moving to drop her feet into the water so she could stand on her own he grinning with impish amusement, as if waiting for her revenge or daring her to get it. Leaning back until he was just floating on his spine he sighed and paddled, daring her still to come and do something about it.
[atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] Inora smiled contentedly as he lifted her into his arms. The strength of his body made her feel safe and loved, her arms wrapped around his neck. She looked into his eyes and was lulled into a false sense of security by them. Ah poor girl, falling so completely for his games. She was in for a big surprise.
When he began running towards the sea however she tightened her arms around him and shook her head violently. "No no no! Please no!" She felt her body getting jumbled around as his feet hit the sand and the devilish look in his eyes made her giggle. She'd never seen someone so sweet be so very happily mischievous. His words made her giggle even more, of course it was going to be salty, it was a salt water ocean. Though she had to admit that she liked being called his wifey.
She heard the waves getting closer and closer, and began to feel nerves fluttering through her, she didn't know what he was going to do to her. All of a sudden the water was lapping against her butt and the bottoms of her legs. Inora clung to Nic with all her might, trying to crawl out of the water and up his body when all of sudden the bottom dropped out and she just barely had time to draw in a deep breath and close her eyes before she was suspended in the water.
Her legs and arms flailed as she struggled to keep her breath in her body and the water outside it. Then just as suddenly she was set back on her feet amidst much sputtering and shaking of her head. She lifted her fingers to rub her eyes and looked at him with a fake glare.
"I can not believe you did that to me you big fat meanie!" Wow, so she certainly was feeling childish today. Strange, being that she was on her honeymoon, a very adult thing to do. Inora watched with a small smile on her face and her hands on her hips, while Nic leaned back to float on his back. This was a grievous assault that could not go unpunished and Inora jumped out of the water, landing squarely on Nic's stomach sending the two of them underneath the water.
Inora surfaced with a laugh and flung her hair back, sending water flying in every direction. She swam away in a hurry, putting a fair amount of space between them. Her feet found the bottom of the water and she backed up until she was standing a little under waist deep. Inora lifted her scrawny arms in the classic kung fu defensive position and then turned her hand to beckon at Nic with a movement reminiscent of Morpheus in the movie The Matrix.
"Come and get me hubby." She said. "But be gentle!" She added as an afterthought.
[atrb=width,435,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=0f0f0f] It was ridiculous the amount of squirming the woman was doing could have proven truly detrimental to her health should she have kept it up but Dominic's hold on her was secure and his grip while gentle had tightened around her possessively. Please no she says. He was still grinning with maniacal glee. Oh she was goin' in that water or he'd be a cat before dinner. He was ridiculously good at appearing completely tame now wasn't he? Had you all fooled. He proudly sported both demeanors, both as tender as a parent to its offspring (or as it should be) and as ruthlessly playful as a large breed puppy.
The constant laughter that assaulted his lobes, both from the blonde in his arms and his own mouth kept him en route towards that warm water. He guessed she'd already begun to feel the gravity of the situation long before they hit the water by the way she clawed and clung to him as if he was dropping her off a cliff or something. Laughing wryly at the idea, luckily enough her reflexes were fast and he watched her shut her eyes and puff out her cheeks just before she went under. He didn't hold her there for too long, maybe three seconds before bringing her back up adequately drenched. He might as well have tried to keep her under there for a minute the way she flapped, fortunately enough he handled panic fairly well.
Watching her rub her eyes clean of the water, he grinned innocently, jaw dropping at her statement as his brows knit together. "Did you just call me fat?! 'Scuse me darling I have a date with the gym." At that point he began to paddle backwards, slowly but surely though it would seem the gym would have to wait as she effectively pounced him. Grunting as he was suddenly underneath the water, his fortune did not mirror her own and he got a mouthful of the salty, warm froth. As soon as he was back up he was spitting it out and shaking his head very much like a dog trying to rid itself of water. Arching a brow as she frantically moved away only to assume a defensive stance he smirked.
She was lucky she was in shallow water or he'd have simply gone below and swiped her legs out from under her. Come and get me hubby, but be gentle! He gave a dry laugh but approached in a somewhat predatory way, chin tucked and his eyes glinting with vitality and adrenaline. So she wanted a spat did she? "Oh don't worry, Daddy's on his way!" It was said in absolute jest as he squared his shoulders and made a grab at her left wrist while stepping forward, his head prepared to duck and his body braced against being smacked should it actually happen. Of course that was all just a diversion for the left hand which had flung out to take hold of her other wrist but simply come up from below like a hook.
He was already laughing before he got ahold of her, fairly certain they were the most ridiculous sight on the beach that day and definitely an oddity. It was immaturity that marked them, that gleeful playfulness that made them stand out. Mr. and Mrs. Theos on their honeymoon. Seemed too good to be true even still and Dominic hadn't even really had time to stew in the idea. He was a married man, had settled down, was hitched. Not that he would second guess the idea, just still was getting adjusted. The woman's limbs were slippery thanks to the ocean surf and it was likely his hands would slide right off but not to worry he was mentally prepared to bring in the second round of the assault.
[atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] Inora giggled uncontrollably when he asked her if she'd called him fat. She found his reaction to it hilarious and nearly just dropped to the ground to roll around for a little bit. But there were more important things at stake right now. Though she hoped that he didn't really think she thought he was fat. No, she thought he was perfect actually. Gorgeous skin, the most beautiful color she'd ever seen, with that beautiful tattoo scrolling across his muscles. Not to mention his face, which was so perfect it made her wonder how she was worthy. There was very little hair on his body, and what there was only made him more appealing, she'd heard horror stories about guys with hairy chests and backs before and she was incredibly glad that Nic wasn't like that.
So to recap, she definitely didn't think he was fat, or that he needed to go to the gym. She forced herself to pull her mind away from the perfections of him and his body and to pay attention to what was actually happening in the here and now. But soon he had her giggling again. After she'd retreated into the shallow water he'd told her that 'daddy' was coming. She found that hilarious, calling himself daddy. She had a flash of them, a few years in the future with beautiful children and shook her head to rid the image. Kids would be great someday, but that wasn't something she was ready to face. They would have to get used to being a couple before they were ready to bring kids into this, not to mention, Inora would have to grow up a little before she could raise someone else.
His hands reached out for her wrists and for once her training with Vic actually came back to her but she didn't want to fight Nic. Instead, she just used her slipperiness to slip her arms right out of his grip. Nora danced around him, making sure to keep just out of reach of Nic's arms. Once she got behind him and grabbed onto his shoulders and jumped onto his back. Her legs wrapped around his waist and her arms draped loosely across his chest.
"Piggy back ride!" Okay, so maybe she had a small case of ADD. One second wanting to play fight and the next wanting a piggy back ride. She pressed a kiss to his cheek and hugged him. "Giddy-up horsey!" She laughed lightly and wondered what he would do in response.
It felt amazing being this close to him and Inora found herself snuggling in closer to him and leaning her head on his shoulder. It happened to be the shoulder that the tattoo was on and she then found herself trailing her fingers along the ink absentmindedly. She went no further down his chest than his pecs, seeing as her hand couldn't really reach. His skin was smooth and warm, it felt incredible under her fingers.
[atrb=width,435,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=0f0f0f] There was nothing that Dominic Theos enjoyed more, thus far, than making his wife happy, and laughter was definitely a hint of joy was it not? So when she carried on, clearly entertained by his aptitude for joking he was pleased to no particular end. They seemed to both be deeply attracted to each other, the appreciative stares focused on each other every now and again a definite give away for such things. Nic allowed himself to muse that the sex would be amazing, but would not allow himself to go further than that. It was always obvious when she was thinking about something, her eyes would just glaze slightly, just enough to suggest she was no longer looking at him so much as looking forward.
As predicted she was slippery and moved directly through his grasp, observing as she danced around him oh so daintily, he allowed it, reasoning he was safe enough in her company. The sensation of her crawling up on his back induced a dry laugh from the werewolf, as he even aided her, placing his arms on his sides so that her ankles could rest aloft them. The command she endowed him could only inspire another small grin and he was just about to do as she bade when she leant forward. Pausing, he accepted the kiss with a look that can only be described as wanting though it wasn't truly directed at her. He had no intention of making her feel afraid. Not wit his selfish desires.
Giddy-up horsey! Grinning again, he diplomatically sank into the water just enough to have his nostrils above it and began to swim. It took a great deal of strength to work through the waves, lulling as they were. For a good ten minutes he ferried her about, pleased to do so but it was taxing. Finally he'd grown tired enough to crawl lazily up the beach, with her still perched on his back. At this point, once they were on warm, dry sand, he flopped on his stomach and sighed. "Mmm. What next, my love?" It was tenderly spoken as he turned his head to the side to stare at her out of the corner of his eye. Precious girl.
He recalled the night they'd met. She'd been so broken, so absolutely hurt and exhausted…To look at her now you wouldn't think so. Her friends hadn't been there. They may have known her longer. But Nic had witnessed it…Seen the tears, the hurt. He'd seen the victim that she was. He wondered if she still felt the victim. If she'd ever want to talk about it. All these things wandered through the werewolf's head as he waited for her next command, but what seemed to stick most vividly with him? Her face as she'd stared at him, horrified that he too would harm her. And that seemed to keep him at bay, still and tender as always.
"We're married, sunshine." It was murmured absentmindedly, Theos thinking aloud as he carefully rolled to his side, allow her to slide off into the sand. Turning carefully, he reached out to attend to her hair, moving it out of her face and tucking it behind her ear. With that accomplished he stroked her face lazily. "Want to go someplace fun for dinner?"It was murmured with a smile in his voice as he thought it over. At that point in time he hummed, that same tune he always did, somewhat thoughtful at present. Grunting quietly, he pushed himself up to a sitting position and assumed an indian style sit.
Carefully taking her gently by the underarms, he pulled her silently into his lap and wrapped his arms around her waist, gently resting his chin on her shoulder and continuing to hum thoughtfully, waiting for some sort of excited response from his wife that had something to do with what they would be eating. The sun was beginning to set, and it was beautiful. A beautiful day coming to a close. A beautiful day to be a Theos.
[atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] Inora knew that Nic was hoping for more from her, and she definitely felt like she wanted to give it to him. Even if she hadn't been a rape victim, this point in their relationship would be giving her some pause. She hadn't been with anyone willingly before. The one boyfriend she had, well they hadn't done much. A tiny kiss here and there but really that was all. As far as she and Nic went, they were going to have to work their way up. There probably wouldn't be any sex any time soon, and she knew that was going to be hard on him. They'd have to start off small, but probably a little bit more than the little pecks that they had been doing. She'd never get comfortable until they started moving forward in tiny increments.
As Nic sank into the water, Inora felt her body float up and she hugged tighter to his neck so she didn't float away. She was beginning to realize that Nic really would do just about anything for her and it made her feel like she was the president or something. So much power but she needed to be careful how she used it so that she didn't misuse it. Not that she wouldn't do anything for him too, they were a couple now, and that was the couple-like thing to do.
They moved through the waves together, Nic doing most of the work but with Nora doing her best to help him along. The water felt amazing flowing over her smooth skin and making her hair lie in twisted tendrils down her back and shoulders, and probably onto his shoulders as well. After some time, Nic crawled onto the shore and the flopped in the sand, sending a tiny little shock wave through the granules. Inora spread her arms out and snuggled into his back. 'My love' that was just about all the registered in her brain at first, made her feel all warm and gooey inside. She was his, and they did love each other. She'd never thought it would happen, she thought that he was just going to be another crush added to her long list of 'ones that got away'.
"Hmmm, I'm all energied out. Let's just lay here for a little while." His words made her smile as she slid to the side to lay beside him in the sand. "Yes, we're married, it's amazing." His fingers fixed her messy hair and she smiled softly, her eyes drooping slightly. She was very much like a child, a burst of frightening energy and then there was nothing left for a little while. His fingers on her face felt lovely and she closed her eyes completely.
Inora contemplated his question, thinking of the places that had been listed in the guidebook. One of them was a place called Medieval Times, it was a themed restaurant where they served you a dinner like the ones they had back in the renaissance days and they put on a show with jousting and sword fights. That sounded like a fun time. Then again, ordering room service and spending some alone time with Nic sounded fun too.
"I'll narrow it down to two choices love." She said, sitting up and leaning over him. "Either we can go to Medieval Times, or we can just order room service, and have some alone time. Just you and me. What do you think?" A smile spread over her face and she waited patiently above him.
[atrb=width,435,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=0f0f0f] If Dominic had any notion that his new bride could see through him so easily he probably would have beat himself over the head with a stick for not being able to hide it better. There was anticipation in the wolf, perhaps too much. Then again if you were a twenty one year old virgin who was just married wouldn't you be a bit excited? But enough in his defense. He enjoyed the way she curled up against him, pleased to know that she wasn't afraid for him to simply hold her. That in itself seemed a feat all things considered. Sighing as he felt the softness of her face pressed into his back, he smiled, only to turn over and tidy up those topaz locks.
She really was beautiful, and he hoped she knew he thought so. The wolf had every intension of cherishing this precious woman until there was absolutely no doubt in her mind who loved her the most. It's amazing. He couldn't agree more and the widening of his smile seemed to suggest such a thing. The sleepy look he was currently receiving made him shake his head, aware that she'd probably exhausted herself, and he, caught up in the excitement had let her. His brows ascended as she stated that she would give him two options, watching while she sat up and loomed over him.
His lips ticked, it was a view he didn't particularly mind. Either we go to Medieval Times, or we can just order room service, and have some alone time. Just you and me. What do you think? He seemed to consider both for several moments before shrugging. "I rather like option two, myself." That being said he grunted and heaved himself up to sit upright as well. Leaning his forehead lightly against her cheek, he groaned as he thought about it. "Going to have to take showers." He was good at that, effectively making it all seem so casual and at ease.
He'd probably even go and order their food while she was in it so she could see to all of her needs without having to worry about him waiting right outside the door. Rocking back slowly, he rose to his feet and pulled her up with him, taking her hand lightly in his and leading her back in the general direction of their room. It didn't take long before they were back at which point he was in action - as he usually was when he saw a need. He was fetching towels and checking to make sure her toiletries were at her disposal in the bathroom before he sought her out again.
Moving carefully to tip her chin, he stared down at her for several long moments, lips twitching with a small husky smiles before they were pressed slowly to hers. It was a tender kiss, neither rushed nor overbearing. Soon enough he pulled away, winking at her almost playfully before turning on his heel and making his way towards the front door of their suite. "I'll go order the food." And get tickets for Medieval Times tomorrow. He ordered them some roasted chicken, as well as a fruit variety, cold water as well as a couple types of soda.
While wine seemed far more romantic, he wasn't particularly interested in alcohol and she would have voiced if she wanted some…and if she didn't he wouldn't offer it. He much preferred life without a haze these days, not that he hadn't had his bouts of drunkenness. Hoping he'd given her adequate time to shower, he glanced at a clock in the lobby to find it'd been nearly fifteen minutes so he headed back up and entered quietly. Consciously closing the door loud enough for her to hear from in the bathroom, "I'm back", he called - making certain there was no panic to be had at a silent entry.
Seating himself in one of the chairs at the corner of the room, he basked in the sun, going so far as tipping his head back to rest on the cushion and shut his eyes, somewhat exhausted but he doubted he'd use much energy the rest of the night so he wasn't particularly worried. Room service would take a grant total of twenty minutes to arrive at which point they would eat and figure out exactly what "alone time" meant.
[atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] Inora rather liked option two herself, it seemed right that the first day of their honeymoon was just about them. They would have the rest of their lives to go out to fancy dinners and such things, but they only had today to be truly alone to bask in their newlywed-ness. She smiled shyly at his shower suggestion and nodded slowly. She was already feeling nasty, covered in sand and sweat from the heat. A nice cold shower seemed like the ideal solution to that feeling. She wasn't worried about him wanting anything, she knew Nic well enough to know that he would be willing to wait for her to be ready, he was a sweetheart that way. The perfect man.
"Mmmm, a shower sounds very nice." Inora's hand lifted to run lightly through his soft strands of hair as she savored the feeling of being so close to him. She smiled up at him when he raised to his feet and allowed him to pull her to her feet. Their fingers entwined and they headed back toward their room, Nic was leading the way and Nora just stumbled along behind him, smiling and studying his face and their surroundings. Costa Rica was a beautiful place and she was glad that they'd chosen it as their honeymoon destination. Once they reached the room, Nic was a whirl of motion and action. Grabbing towels, getting her shower stuff from her suitcase(though she blushed when she realized that she had underwear in there and some lingerie that Rose had insisted she include).
She waited patiently on the bed in the middle of the room, not wanting to get in his way but still feeling a little bit lazy for not getting her own things. Finally, Nic came back out and approached her, tipping her chin up so she would look at him, which she did with a smile. She saw his lips twitching and felt tingles run through her body as she realized he was going to kiss her. The kiss was slow, tender, sweet, and fairly innocent. Perfect for their situation, just enough to show how much they felt for each other, but not rushed or pressing. When he pulled away all she could do was smile up at him, whereas he winked and walked away.
Inora trusted him to pick good things for her to eat, they'd been eating together for a long time now and even if he had gotten something she didn't like she would have eaten it anyway. She pushed herself up off the bed and grabbed some pajamas from the suitcase she had bought, her eyes lingered for a moment on the lingerie but she shook her head and blushed. The time for that would come, it just was not here quite yet.
The bathroom was beautiful and easy to work, so it didn't take long til Inora was in the shower scrubbing away layers of sand. She wasn't one of those girls that took hours in the bathroom just to get ready, in fact, she took pretty quick showers, usually no more than 20 minutes each. That probably came from the fact that she didn't put on make up or other girly things. Just as she was stepping out of the shower, she heard the door open and close and Nic's voice call out to her. She breathed a sigh of relief and quickly toweled herself dry and dressed in her PJ's, she slid her feet into her comfy slippers and ran a comb through her wet tumble of hair before heading out.
Nic was sitting out in the sun, still covered in sand and still in his bathing suit, leaving all his beautiful skin and toned muscles where she could enjoy them. She approached him slowly and bent down to press her lips to his forehead and wrap her arms around his neck from behind.
"All clean!" Inora sang out, gave his neck a little squeeze of a hug, and then slid around to take a seat beside him. "So what's for dinner my love?"
[atrb=width,435,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=0f0f0f] That sweet smiles of hers induced one of his own, his hazel eyes focused on her face and only her face for some moments. His wife. It was still such a surreal sensation. Was he really married? When had he become responsible for someone beyond himself? Well…that was different, he'd felt responsible for her for some time now, much longer than they'd been wed. His sunshine had needed him then. Nearly frowning as he recalled how broken she'd been, so light and fragile in his arms, it made him want to take her in them and murmur that it'd be alright all over again. She had nothing to fear as long as he was alive…He'd do something, anything, to save her and never planned on being so far away that that became an issue. He tried, even now, to be within yelling distance so that if she needed him it would only take him a half a minute or so to come to her aide.
Mmmm, a shower sounds very nice, she said and Nic agreed thoroughly. Thankfully it didn't take them long to get to their room, neither did it take him long to acquire everything she'd need for her shower. Granted, there had been things in her suitcase he hadn't particularly expected but he'd managed to calm himself, pushing that want away yet again. Probably the work of one of her "loves", he presumed. Sighing he'd maintained a happy smile even in lieu of this development, escorting himself out after kissing her. As time went on it had become more and more plain to see that Dominic was a provider by nature, overseeing each and every aspect of every situation so that she never need want for anything that wasn't directly at her fingertips. It made him feel…responsible? Acts of service was definitely the love language he spoke best, though of course touch hadn't been truly explored yet. He could speak that one well too for all we know.
Her sigh of relief as he returned was enough to tell him that speaking when he came home was still a good idea. He generally did announce his arrival, both because he didn't want her afraid and he didn't want to have to handle her when she came out screaming and throwing punches. He'd not witnessed his wife's fighting abilities but he didn't want to underestimate her. Having assumed a seat out in the warmth of the sun, he listened to her move around and finally surface, his eyes opening only when the warmth of her lips met his features. "You smell good," he remarked absent mindedly, not a particularly intimate comment but he'd learned to voice his thoughts when they pertained to her beauty, what she wore, the way she smelled, etcetera.
His spouse couldn't read his mind, as much as he'd like that…though there were times he was glad his thoughts were his own. Eyeing her pajamas, he smiled lazily, clearly enthralled by the idea of boxer sort things on her. "Those are cute…" Now that they'd covered the bases of what Dominic noticed they could start a conversation. So what's for dinner my love? He chuckled, fond of her little names, though his was rather pedestrian - sunshine, he'd stuck with it for a while now. "Roasted chicken, fruit and some drinks - water and some soda I think.." He offered a quiet smile, his pleased look as he groaned and made himself get to his feet. "I'll be out in five minutes," he murmured, resisting the urge to bend and kiss her cheek because that promised a shower of sand granules all over her newly cleaned skin.
He grabbed a pair of lounge pants, and a muscle shirt and wandered towards the bathroom, making quick work of it and five minutes later he surfaced, still towel drying his hair with his shirt slung over his shoulder. Hanging the towel on the top of the door as he wandered to find her, sliding his shirt over his head and straightening it against his skin. His tattoo was still difficult to get used to being in the open, not that he intentionally hid it from her but usually there was a dress shirt or a thermal covering it and with the present clothing? Most of it showed. The ink was still very black, but once it faded he had every intention of having the color refreshed. Stooping to kiss her forehead, he seated himself beside her, glancing at his phone for the time. "Food should be here in about ten minutes, Ms. Theos." It was said with such lavish that it was clear he enjoyed saying it. Warm cinnamon eyes grazing her features appreciatively as he basked in the warmth of the sun. Ah the beach.
