"Vampires....Bloody vampires."
Katra was at one of the only pubs that was good, that was left around here. She was mostly to blame for the lack of them seeing as she had a bad tendency to find them filled with vampires. So then she would cleanse the place of the rotten smelling creatures. By blowing it up and laughing as the leeches came running out with their arms and faces and hair and clothes on fire. Most died on the inside, but that just made it all the more sweeter.
Though she couldnt take full credit for it. A few of those blow up jobs had been with a part of her pack. Caleb, the tramp, and clown of the pack. The very first bar that had been blown up had been by the Tramp and she had asked him how it was done, and since they were so close, he showed her and then had her come along for some fun. And it really was fun. A few she did on her own, on nights where the pub was packed and she was the only werewolf around. Those nights were fun, trying to get away without one snatching at her.
So why was she here at the pub now? To blow it up because of the mass amount of leech population inside? No, she was actually here to meet one. As much as she hated to admit it, she had no intent on killing this one. Not unless he started something first. And by that point, it would be on. But Marcus, the vampire that had been sent to her by Sevanni had told her that this meeting was to be on good graces. And even though it pained her to let this certain vampire on her territory and not kill him, she agreed and let the other leech go back to tell his boss.
Just to make up for not killing him and to not kill Sev, she had searched out two other vamps and killed them instead. Paris was really having a leech problem this year for some reason. Not that her pack couldnt handle it. The thought alone of ripping into the corpses that haunted this city brought a smile to her lips, and her canine teeth grew just slightly as her wolf howled its approval. Her other half had been utterly silent since the meeting with Marcus. Giving her the cold shoulder for agreeing to this ridiculous meeting in the first place. The wolf only knew one thing and was sticking to it. Vampire =bad. Bad = kill. Must kill vampire.
Since her wolf had decided to make a sudden reappearance at the bar, she would need to keep a tight leash on her. Looking up with tawny colored eyes that held mischief she asked the tender to make her a scotch and to just leave the bottle afterwards. She could hold her liquor, not as well as a vampire could since they never got drunk, but humans and other werewolves didnt want to bet against her. When the tender gave it over to her she grinned, showing some fang and he backed away.
Even though she protected the humans, it was too amusing to scare them. And it was too easy at times. Show them a bit of fang, and they freaked. But humans had a tendency to erase things they didnt think were real and to make up 'logical' reasons about what they saw. Sometimes it was really stupid on what they came up with. It would just be easier if they admit the truth to themselves. But there were those who could handle it...and those that couldnt.
Looking at the clock on the wall above the bar, since she never wore a watch, she noticed that the meeting time was creeping up. They had said on this day, at 8 o clock sharp. Because it would be dark enough for him, and early enough for her to get away from the pack without someone following her. And also, to get away from HIM soon enough so she could go back out and hunt. This whole thing was so mysterious to her. He had found her, and asked for the meeting. She had almost turned it down, seeing as there was no love shared between them. He hated werewolves, and she hated vampires.
The only thing they had in common was Nix. And of course her sister. But Kat hadnt seen Ali since they were split at the ages of seven and eight. The night that had started this whole hatred for vampires. If only she could find that one that had killed her parents and started this damn mess. But that would require her to leave. And she didnt want to leave. Paris was her home and her pack needed her. So this meeting was about Nix. Marcus had even brought her name up.
If Katra ever had a weak spot, it was that damn blonde girl that always got into trouble. She missed her terribly and she wanted to see her. So maybe that was why she hadnt turned Marcus down. Because she desperately wanted to see Nix. Even if she had to leave Paris. For she had heard about Sevanni leaving New York and going to Italy. Which was fine by her. It was much closer then the states. She could run to Italy if she was that desperate.
Bringing the glass to her lips, she stopped slightly as she picked up a scent. It was his all right and he was walking through the door. She knew about him and how HE looked, but would he be able to find HER? They hadnt met before. Even though she was the only werewolf around others had been here recently and their scent was strong in the air. She didnt turn, and she didnt signal. She made it seem as if she were ignoring him. Let him come to her. This was his meeting anyway. Kat just smirked as she took a small sip from her drink. Let the games begin.

[atrb=width,375,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] Sevanni was no fan of Paris. He hated Paris because of their snobbish people, the pixies and their love for this horrid city, and not to mention, that whore Giz and her lame excuse of a husband. That bastard would pay for what he did to dear old Sevanni, and for his horrible display, perhaps his head in a box sent to Giz would be better than having it hanging on his wall. Now that did sound like a sweet idea.
His meal of the night had been simply so for he didn't want to tear out darling Katra's throat. After the overhaul of blood Sevanni had no liking for it, even when he grew hungry he starved it out, which made him slightly more grumpier and it had made Nixie not want to be anywhere near him. So, this little meeting would be quick and to the point with no interruptions from anyone. He'd specifically made it a point to mend a few fences, and since he had been neglecting Nixie on purpose, took her weremutt life away from her by no fault of his own, he wanted to somehow make it up to her.
So here he was in Old Paris, the town car bringing him to this....this place. It wreaked really. Low class morons who didn't know their place in life. Vampire or not, they were low class.
He made Marcus go to Kat. Marcus was most displeased on having to go seek out a weremutt for meeting purposes. He hated dogs just as much as the next one, and he didn't like the fact that Sevanni had turned much of his life around just to suit others. So now even he had a small grudge, but Sevanni was sure he'd pile it out on Annaliah and get his aggression it. It's what he usually did.
"Keep the car running....I don't intend on being too long." And he hadn't. Not really. Maybe later he'd go let a bomb off at Lars and Giselle's place. Would be a nice time for fireworks. But the faster he was out of that snobby city the better. Nix had no idea of what he was doing, and he couldn't keep it as a secret if he intended on making her night.
As soon as he stepped into the place he knew that this was just all wrong. It was just like a mutt to pick a place as such. Loathsome really. His head had started moving as eyes scanned the place. All he had was a picture to go off of, he'd never met Kat before, and now was just as good a time as any.
The man smelling of Amaretto, and to a weremutt like her, vampire.....walked inward more so over the talkative people that clouded the room. A hand waved off the bartender who opted to take an order from a short distance. No...nothing for him tonight.
Legs moved with feet and headed over to the brunette, his form looming over as he stood but no greeting came. He simply slid into the seat across from her and let closed fists wrapped into one another rest in front of him. "I'm sure you're wondering what I could possibly be doing here wanting to talk to you hmmmm?" Brows raised slightly at quizzical words. A small sigh was relaxed out through lips. A drink and a smoke didn't sound half bad, but that had to be reserved for later. With the exception of a cigar. After this move, he just might smoke one.
"Don't worry....I don't want any trouble...however; I would like to settle on a deal with you....It has to do with Phoenix..." And that should raise her own quizzical brows in his direction. How much had they cared about one another? Would they do anything for each other? Would Kat?
Sevanni cared about Nixie more than anyone could possibly know or assume. It wasn't an affliction. Some obsession like it had been with others. At first it had, after she ran off with Tarus. Getting her head was top of his list, but things had changed over time and the more their game continued on, the more he had been drawn to her indefinitely.

Tilting her head lightly to the side, tawny curls falling over her shoulder since she didnt bother to put her hair up she listened to the vampire that had been the biggest source aggravation in her life. But then again, she couldnt really complain. What was a little aggravation to spice up life right? She hated to admit it, but she would get rather bored with just a regular old life where there was no fun in it. She needed something she could claw into, and snap at. She wasnt a bitch for no reason. She had earned that reputation. Its why on some nights, the pack would let some vampires stick around. Vampire hunting was a game. A game that was very much like cat and mouse and if there were no more mice, the game would end. Couldnt have that happen now could we?
When he slid into a seat right next to hers a faint smirk of amusement rose on her lips. She had to give him props. He had only heard of her before and had never met her and yet he was able to find her at a packed bar. And of course, she was amused because he seemed so out of place. Even if he was trying to hide it, she could smell it on him. He didnt like this place, and he didnt like her choice in this place at all. Here he was all dressed up nice and neat and of course, being as how she expected him to be. Straight to the point. But then you looked at her.
She was wearing a blank tank top with a pair of black jeans to match. And her shoes were beaten up tennis shoes. But somehow that didnt take away from her stunning features. Tawny eyes that went with a shock of dark hair. As he spoke up, she turned those orbs on him, sipping casually from her drink again. In fact, she was curious as to why he wanted to speak with her. It wasnt like they were dear and close friends. As she had noticed before, the only thing they had in common was Nix and Ali. And Sevanni hated her sister. That fact was universally known. But Katra was not her sister. You couldnt compare the two. Only find differences. Sure they had the same accent and looked similar, but they were polar opposites.
Looking away from him again, she nibbled on her lower lip softly, setting the glass down, but keeping her fingers wrapped around it, nails delicately swishing back and forth across the glass. He better pick up the pace or she was going to loose interest in him and this meeting all together. Marcus hadnt said much about what Sevanni wanted. And as for his words, a deal about what? She wasnt one to normally make a deal. The last time she had dealt with a vampire he had snatched out a kiss from her. But it had been to find her sister, so in the end it wasnt really worth it.
His next words though caught her attention and her eyes snapped to the side to look at him, her head moving only slightly so she could see him better. A deal about Nix....Now this was interesting. And as he probably had planned, she raised a questioning eyebrow. Turning in her seat, she leaned one arm on the bar, leaning her head on her hand, tossing some of her thick hair. "Oh really? And what kind of deal would that be? And what does it have to do with Nix?" She asked him, curiosity laced into her voice, but her posture remained casual and unamused. Almost as if she were trying to pull off uninterested in what he was saying.
When in reality, her heart had sped up slightly, and every part of her being was on high alert. Her eyes had dilated slightly to where they burned with a more fierce tawny gold. And her canine teeth were longer. Even her wolf was intrigued and wanting to know what Sevanni Black, the most respected and yet at the same time, hated, vampire in the universe wanted with her. And of course, the wolf was wanting to see its best friend. Nix and her had a bond not only in their human skins but also in the forms of their wolves. She missed that little blonde fireball dearly. This was why she was here in the first place.

[atrb=width,375,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] "Oh really? And what kind of deal would that be? And what does it have to do with Nix?" A sly grin ached to press it's way to the surface. This was different of course. Something done out of the kindness of his heart. Why? Because he knew it would make her happy, and he wanted to make sure that she knew he actually gave a shit about something she loved. Someone she was connected to. Even though the two of them had been blood bound, she would appreciate him more and see that he had some speck of decency within him.
An outward sigh was let out as he sat back still covered. He wasn't about to get comfortable. Just exactly how did Katra feel about Sevanni? They'd never met, and the horrid stories she may have heard as of late was no that of him. Surely a few heads would be changed. As much as he hated these......these...weremutts, this was the right thing that old tyrant could do.
"You're the one who takes care of her child....are you not?" No need to really go into it. He knew because Marcus knew and what Marcus knew of importance Sevanni knew. "Don't worry..." He started with wavering hands with palms facing her. "I don't wish to harm it." He had always called the baby an it simply because it was an abomination. Nixie should never have gotten pregnant. Not by him.
Again he brought eyes to her from those around the room, comfortable to the best of his ability. Demon forbid someone should make an attempt. That was the price you paid for becoming a known monster.
"I want to make Phoenix happy.....so I think it would be best....." God this was horrid. "I think it would be best if she see her child from time to time." And there it was. "But you are to keep that vagabond away at all times. I'll not have then reunite, and so, I wish for you to bring the child to her rather than her go there." He couldn't trust it. He couldn't trust fate to allow them to see one another again, and so this had to be the only way.
"If you refuse it means you care not of your friend in which you claim." It wasn't really negotiable. It was an in part selfless act and therefor warranted for belief. So, he'd await her reply without concern of the answer. There wasn't much in return he wanted. Not yet anyway.

[atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000806] Amazingly, her temper was in check tonight, and her wolf was being held back tightly. She could only handle so much though. Just being around a vampire she so openly despised made her skin crawl. What was she doing? Patrick would have beaten her to a pulp if he were still alive and he had heard about this. Meeting Sevanni Black on civil terms and not getting into a fight. Not yet anyway....But the night was still young and her eyes still danced with a hidden mischief that most took warning from. She had a bit of an attitude problem. And she knew she did. But she wasnt ever going to change herself for others to like. You hated her, fine. You liked her, then you could possibly become a friend. Judgment from others had never been an issue for Kat.
Her anger though, had always been a problem for her. Even when she was a little girl. She would blame Ali for all the trouble she caused and since she was the eldest her parents believed her. The roles of a normal household hadnt applied in the Shadings home. The eldest daughter was the spoiled brat. Not that she was very spoiled anymore. And that little spark of insanity just grew as she got older and flared up when her parents were killed. Now, it was pretty bad. She knew how to control it better, but it would never go away. Never. And she knew that. Glancing at him, she was surprised to find her anger didnt bubble up when he smirked at her. Smirking vampires were always one of her pet peeves. But instead she just raised an eyebrow and looked away again. This was his deal. She wanted to know what she had to do with Nix.
There was no love lost between them. It was clear they hated each other without ever having met. Mainly because of their race of supernatural creature and of course the history they had behind each other without ever butting heads face to face. He had killed her father figure, destroyed half of her family, had gone after her sister, had taken Nix. The list could go on. It was an effort to stay civil and not lash out. At his next words about Aura, who no one but her pack should know, she felt her grip around her glass tighten. The glass protested briefly, making a sound almost like breaking ice when you smash your foot against it and there is still water under it. She didnt look at him, knowing that she would probably snarl. Instead she turned her body back to sitting normally and looked at the mirror behind the bar. Her eyes were glowing, her wolf snarling in protest.
And then he continued. He called Aura an it. IT!!!! Oh hell no. She bit down on her tongue but a small growl crept up. She didnt want to fight. She told herself to be good and be civil. But if he kept offending people she loved, he was going to find himself with one angry Alphess. If it wasnt enough to insult Aura, he went after Damien. That poor mutt of a boy was doing better but she could still see the effect all of this had had on him. The poor thing. She felt awful about it and knew there was nothing she could do. The wolf inside of him would know that his mate was gone forever. The wolf itself was gone from Nix since she had been changed into a vampire. Something that they all hunted. Katra would usher Nix out of Paris anyway if that girl stepped foot here. There were members in her pack that would not hesitate to kill her. She wasnt one of them. She wouldnt and COULDNT kill her best friend and pack sister.
Because thats what she was. She was her pack sister until the end. Until the day that Katra died. And who knew when that day would be. But she had a feeling with her life style, one day she would meet her match and end up dead. Then her pups would take over the pack after her death. And the new line would start. That wasnt the now though and she turned back to face him. "Dont you dare say I dont care about my friend. I love that girl more then you could imagine. And Im not going to explain it to a vampire because you wouldnt understand the bond of a pack sister." Sighing, she slid her glass away from her so she wouldnt break it. "First off. Dont call her baby an it. Her name is Aura. And Nix wont like you calling her daughter an it." She said and chuckled darkly. "Second, fine. Ill come to you and visit. But I cant leave my own pups alone. My husband is away for a while," her eyes rolled at this statement, she was not happy with Tristan, "and so Im the one in charge of them. Plus, Nix is the god mother. May I bring my two pups with Aura until my husband returns and may watch them?" She asked him, gritting her teeth slightly, keeping the smile on her face. She hated that she was asking a vampire a question.
Her only thought was Nix better damn well appreciate this. If that girl didnt, she would kick her from one wall to another when she saw her. And then probably hug the short blonde wolfvamp tightly. Then again, most people were shorter then Kat in the female population. Kat was 5'11 in height and she wore heels a lot. "I do have a question though." She asked curious. "Whats in it for you? What are you going to ask of me to do so you get a benefit out of this?"

[atrb=width,375,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] "Don't you dare say I don't care about my friend. I love that girl more then you could imagine. And I'm not going to explain it to a vampire because you wouldn't understand the bond of a pack sister." Which was a bit low in his mind. Fledglings were a bit more to him than a simple pack sister. After all, she needed to come to terms and face facts, Nixie was no longer one of her "pack sisters" nor would she ever be.An eye roll to this statement of hers and the hint of outburst became evident. Silly weremutt.
He had already seen the anger boil up within her. No surprise. Dogs were so easily angered and it was always in Sevanni's favorite sport to make them mad. Like, second nature of sorts. "First off. Don't call her baby an it. Her name is Aura. And Nix wont like you calling her daughter an it." She was starting to get a little testy, which gave Sevanni a nice thought about taking her head and ripping it from her body. "Second, fine. I'll come to you and visit. But I can't leave my own pups alone. My husband is away for a while,"
"And so I'm the one in charge of them. Plus, Nix is the god mother. May I bring my two pups with Aura until my husband returns and may watch them?" Forceably asked? How lovely that was to see such accents on her facial structure. A small glint of a smirk brushed over lips as he looked at her with such an aching feeling inside to slice her apart. On the outside it was nothing but niceties and a smart ass way that he smirked and smiled.
"First off, I'll call IT whatever I damn well please. It's not mine. Second, fine. The grounds will be cleared of my more....immortal little ones...." Surely they would seek to eat them alive, kill them. He couldn't have that now could he? What he wanted was nothing more but to leave this stench filled place and her company was the most discerning of it all. She was a horrid creature that needed to be shot and put out of her misery. Filthy beasts they were. Weremutts.
Sevanni made a gesture to slide from the seat in which he sat however she had started to talk. "I do have a question though." She asked quizzically while his attention was once again taken hold of. "Whats in it for you? What are you going to ask of me to do so you get a benefit out of this?" A sly little grin was revealed. How clever of her to ask. Sevanni wanted something in return alright, but it wasn't something that would affect dear Katra before him.
He leaned in as if he were some secretive boss man making plans for a hint. "I don't think that would be any of your concern....." A little smug chortle was released. "Besides....it isn't our lives that are involved.....just think of what the future holds for those who have yet to catch up." Oh the future was a wonderful thing. Think of all those little pups being brought into the world. Fresh mutts being made. Katra was going to have her own hell to deal with, this was simply a show for the pickings. "She'll be happy, and that's all I care about right now." Sure, it would keep her from going on rants and killing everyone who stood in her wake. If he had been awake instead of trapped in that coffin within his own mind, he could have prevented it somehow.
