Olivia decided she needed a break from the busy night life of New Orleans, but yet had not wanted to retire to her hotel room for the night. Finally making up her mind she figured the rich and luscious forest would be the most suitable place for her to get rid of the smell of piss and vomit that was lingering in her nose. Not wanting to bother with a taxi she walked the whole way from Bourbon Street to where she was standing now, which happened to be against a tree that was probably old as she was. The bark was slightly pealing in several places, giving her the idea that some type of animal has marked it as it's territory. Reaching her hands up she undid a few buttons of her black blouse, allowing the chilled air to flow over her skin even though she wasn't hot with the humidity. She just enjoyed the feeling of the air. The last time she had been in Louisiana it was strictly for business, but this time she came for her own curiosity and pleasure. She loved how alive the city was and she had enjoyed herself at several clubs, but it got annoying and boring after being felt up by one to many drunks. Hell, these drunks were worse than the ones she normally found in Italy and that was saying something. Kicking her silver stilettos off, she allowed her feet to meet with the moss covered earth with a content sigh. This was the escape she was looking for... Quite and peaceful... Not worrying about her skinny jeans getting dirty she sat down to have her legs stretched out in front of her before laying back completely flat. Her red hair fanned out around her, mixing with the grass and dried leaves. Resting her hands on top of her stomach she closed her bright blue eyes briefly to enjoy the sounds of nature. Olivia reopened her eyes feeling extremely relaxed and stared up at the star covered sky through the canopy of trees. She had a few hours to kill before the sun would come out, giving her plenty of time to hunt before needing to head back to the hotel. "What a perfect way to end the night..." She whispered to herself as her tongue ran over her fangs lightly. She was in the clear to do whatever the hell she wanted without having to be conscience of any possible witnesses. No one would be out in the woods at this time of night or so she thought as she pulled her i-pod out from her pocket to listen to the sweet melody of classical music and rock. She was happy with her last minute decision to come to Louisiana... If she hadn't she wouldn't have found this peaceful clearing.

Louisiana. She'd wandered crowded streets for hours asking herself the same question, over and over. What in the hell was she doing here? A New York child by choice, and she'd left her home.
She'd grown tired of the time spent on the streets, so she wandered off to a forest to contemplate this, her strangest decision.
She climbed a tree while laughing to herself, wondering what she could say made this choice what it was. She'd made other half-brained choices. She couldn't regret any of them, that wasn't her nature. But those choices all had reason. She could find none in this one.
She found a branch, just big enough to support her weight. She wasn't a heavy person, but the tree looked rather old; Falling off a snapped branch wasn't a chance she really felt like taking. She braced herself, sliding back so her shoulders were flush with the trunk. She dusted off the sides of her jeans, some Debris from the tree falling with it. Why bother? she caught herself thinking. You're going to leave a bloody mess, anyway.
She sighed, leaning her head back to hit the trunk. She could have found a reason for this trip, right there in that line of thought. Erick. Sweet, wonderful Erick. Her foolish heart fell in love after just one night with him. After his on-the-spot proposal, she could foresee no problems. Unfortunately, that hadn't been the case. He'd left. But she'd understood that. What possible reason would she have to flee?
She heard approaching footsteps below her, and she shrugged them off. Who cared what was down below? It was certainly no more than a rabbit, maybe something a tad bigger. It was no concern of hers.
The humidity had finally gotten to her. She pulled the zipper down the front of her black hoodie, shrugging it off her shoulders. She pulled it off, attempting to shake it out a bit before folding it over her lap. But her balance faltered, and she released the hoodie all together, hands fighting to keep her on the branch. She looked down to see the petite figure of a red-haired woman against the tree. Right under her falling jacket. "Oh, shit," she mumbled slightly. This was no time for a fight. Starting down the tree, she hoped the woman had a forgiving heart.

Her mind was at a blank, which was rather unusual for Olivia but it was nice for a change. No thoughts of the past, present, or future entered her mind as her fingers lightly drummed on her stomach in beat with the music that flowed through her ear-buds with the volume turned on low. She could spend days in this position if the sun allowed her… Unfortunately all good things must come to an end at some point, so she was rather content with the couple of hours that she had. Pausing in her finger drumming Olivia focused in on the slight rustling she heard, or at least she thought she heard. Not hearing it again she didn’t bother opening her eyes as she just passed it off as an animal. Then again if it was an animal now would be the time to strike and eat… If only she didn’t have to get up. “Oh, Shit.” Well, that certainly wasn’t an animal. Opening her blue eyes she was greeted with darkness instead of the star covered sky as something landed over her head. Not knowing what it was she quickly sat up and pulled it off feeling slightly startled. Someone better not be screwing with her… Looking down at her hands she slowly held up the jacket before letting out a chuckle of relief. A jacket… A flipping jacket had caused her to become so tense. This just proved that she needed this vacation. Glancing up above her she spotted a figure climbing down the tree she was resting up against. Not feeling threatened she instantly relaxed as her eyes went back to the sweater to study it. It was only second nature for her to look at the tag to see what kind of fabric it was made out of even though she could tell pretty much by the feel. Slowly Olivia made it onto her bare feet and brushed off what little dirt had gotten onto her jeans. “Cute jacket... I wasn’t really expecting anyone else to be out here.” She admitted to the girl as she held out the jacket for her to take. “I’m sure you didn’t either… Are you ok?” Upon further scrutiny it was clear that she wasn’t human or a werewolf much to her relief. Running a hand through her hair she shook out all the dry leaves and grass the best she could before giving up with a shrug. Hopefully this girl didn’t want trouble…

The sound a person makes when standing is easily distinguishable. So it was no surprise to Audri when she heard someone stand, shifting their weight on dead leaves and cracking branches. She sighed; Trouble was the least of things she wanted now.
She looked to see the woman admiring her jacket. “Cute jacket..." she heard as she shifted her weight against the tree, pushing herself off and landing with a gentle thud on the ground next to the woman. She took her jacket as it was offered to her. "I wasn’t really expecting anyone else to be out here. I’m sure you didn’t either… Are you ok?”
She smiled. No harm, no foul. At least she assumed this for now. She looked the woman over quickly, seeing and sensing no threat. She couldn't smell human blood, nor that of any dog. Delightful. Another vampire.
"I'm quite alright, thank you," Audri replied gently. She reached up to brush a few stray bits of hair from her face. "And no, I hadn't expected another person in this area. Not at this time, at least," she said with the quick flash of a smile. "But, I'm not one to shun the unexpected."
Quickly, Audri shook out her jacket once more, shoving her arms through each sleeve and shuffling it around her slender frame. She thoroughly dusted herself off, shaking dead leaves and peeling bark from her hair. Once she imagined herself presentable, she put a hand out into the small distance between them. "I'm Audrina Fayng," she said quickly, her own name sounding like a mouthful to her ears. "Feel free to call me Audri, however. You are?"
