The battle lines have been drawn in Mystic Falls. Damon and Katherine have taken over the small town, using the governor’s mansion for their own personal base of operations. The two have become the dictators of this small town, using the citizens where they see fit.
There is a small group of slaves that they keep called Tolkens. They are used for pretty much anything: as servants, sexual partners, blood donors. More vampires have migrated to the town, seeking the paradise that Katherine has promised them. Along with vampires, hunters have also come. The infamous Winchester brothers are hiding out somewhere, waiting to strike at the duo.
Stefan has become the leader of the small resistance group that he and Elena have founded. They come up with a plan to insert a spy at the mansion to try to find a weak spot in their defenses.
Her name is Amara, the new servant and she has caught the eye of the master of the house, Damon but she resists. She seems to fascinate him but why. How will things change once he knows who she really is and why she is there and how does feel about him?
