Laughing wildly Eris danced through Central Park to one of her favorite Japanese pop singers. She had her music up so loud that it was spilling out from her earphones and could be heard clearly. Racing through the park, doing random gymnastic acts Eris’ laughter echoed through the area eerily. Several hours prior to her solo dance party within Central Park she had been hunting and now that she was satisfied it was time to play. Dante had left her to her own devices once again and so she was left with the task of occupying herself. Before coming to the park she had tried several local clubs, but found the local club scene a bit boring and so the lithe Eris had opted to have her own dance party alone in the park.
As she danced through the woods of the park she came across a path and along the path was a bench. Stopping mid-booty shake Eris turned toward the bench and ran at it full tilt. A split second before running into the bench she launched herself over the bench in a flip. Landing on her feet as graceful as a cat she turned back toward the bench, smiling like a mad woman. Ever since becoming a vampire Eris had become more than a little obsessed with her new found agility.
When she had been just a normal girl she had been very adept at gymnastics, but now that she was more than human she was superb. A day didn’t go by that Eris didn’t practice her gymnastics, pushing herself farther and farther every day. She wanted to know exactly how far she could go with her skills now that she was a vampire and so far she had yet to find something she couldn’t do. On top of practicing her gymnastics like a mad woman she had taken up working with knives more often. Six months ago as a human she had been just perfecting some more difficult techniques she had incorporated her knives into. Now she had gone above and beyond anything she had ever hoped to be able to do.
As the thought of her knives crossed her mind she wiped one out from under the back of her latex corset. Twirling the blade incredibly fast she suddenly hurled it away from her, embedding it deep in a tree several yards away. Giggling she skipped over to the tree, humming along with her music. Pulling her knife from the trunk of the large tree she turned the blade over in her hands, inspecting it for damage. Seeing no damage upon the blade she went back to traversing the park, performing some of the fight moves she had seen from movies and documentaries with her knife. While doing this she pulled another knife from the inside of her thigh high boots and continued deeper into the park, wondering when Dante was going to come and get her.

An exasperated sigh crawled out of the man's lips, knuckles rubbed deep into his eyes. They gave off a tired look and when he removed his hands from his face his vision had become momentarily blurred before sliding back into focus. He was disappointed the night had so far been a waste of time. This would be the last time he went against his instincts and trusted so piece of trash human.
He had left behind a room of dead junkies who had decided to pick up a book on the occult and made a shoddy observation about him. They had even tried to threaten his beloved. None of them had seen an angry Vampire and none of them would ever see one again. A rational man would see clearly that they were high and strung out. But Dante was no normal man.
Whatever time he had left of the night he would be with Eris. If he remembered correctly she said she would be around the park and from the building he was in it would only take him a few minutes. He could have called her but surprising her was always a thrill and seeing her face light up was worth it all. To image the eternity of life he had, fate had given back his goddess it only took him five hundred long year.
Dante pushed the door open and took in the first breath of fresh air. He turned the corner and proceeded down the street his hands absently slipping into his trench coat pockets. He crossed the street after a car had driven past him. Central Park was just around the corner and without cutting to the right at the wall he merely vaulted over.
In the distance he could hear an eerie giggling sound in the darkness and the faint sound of some kind of music he had no taste for. Cutting through the woods only took a few seconds with his speed and soon his eyes fell on the young visage of his angel. He was sure she would spot him before he could get to her, she always was bouncy thing.

Eris spun and twirled all around, singing along with her music as her blades sliced through the air. As she danced around one tree in particular she carved intricate designs into its trunk. Just as she finished her carving a familiar scent reached her nose. Sniffing the air a wide grin crept across her face. Taking a deep breath she closed her eyes, savoring the scent. Exhaling slowly a happy sigh passed her lips. The scent that had reached her was one she knew well, one she loved above all other smells. It was Dante’s, her beloved Dante’s. Turning toward the scent her eyes fell upon him lurking in the shadows a few yards away. It looked like he was trying to sneak up on her, which was probably exactly what he was doing. He loved to scare her and honestly she didn’t mind, his games were fun, but only when he truly scared her. Eris wasn’t about to play along, it wasn’t fun that way.
Turning her Ipod off, she slipped her earphones into her pocket. If Dante wanted to play, then he was going to play by her game. Giggling she waved at Dante, blowing him a kiss, before disappearing into the forest. Slipping one of her knives back into its hidden sheath she moved away from Dante. She was going to circle back around and come up behind him. She wanted to get the jump on him, just this once and she was finally confident enough in her skills. Ever since the first time Dante had snuck up on her she had tried to do so to him and so far she had failed miserably, but not tonight; she hoped.
Running ahead of Dante she suddenly changed course and jumped into a nearby tree. Moving as quiet as possible she moved to the next tree and then the next, doubling back behind Dante. Several trees later she dropped back to the ground without a sound. Crouching low she slipped through the shadows, moving behind Dante. She could see him now, searching for her. It seemed like he had lost her scent, good. Smiling mischievously she twirled her remaining knife in her hand, then she rushed him. Gaining on Dante Eris let out a wild laugh, giving Dante a heads up to her location. She hoped to surprise him, but she wasn’t stupid. Completely sneaking up on Dante was stupid, he was a dangerous man and even though he would never hurt her intentionally, it wasn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could hurt her if she actually did catch him off-guard.
However, Eris was curious to see if she could actually do it. Spreading her arms wide she aimed wrap them around Dante, planning on pressing her blade to his neck. He had done the very same thing to her numerous times and now it was time for a little payback.

She had seen him as he had expected. It had been six months he would hope she would have mastered her new powers enough to sense him coming. It must have been her sense of smell, her ears had been cover with the earphones that blared that music she listened to. As soon as she had turned she waved and blew him a kiss and then disappeared into the woods.
He wondered what exactly she was doing. But he played along taking a few steps in her direction taking brief inhales to keep her scent fresh in his mind. A shift in the winds and the scent disappeared. It was only until she broke the silence and was behind him when he finally caught it back.
It was to late to react he turned and took the hit, his eyes catching glimpse of a blade. The two fell back with a dull thud and Dante wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer. The blade pressed farther then she meant it to by his own strength. The cold steel cut through the pale threads of skin, blood poured forth through the wound and cover the blade and ran closer and closer to the white of his collared shirt.
The pain he barely felt. He stared up into her eyes and glanced downward at his neck. All in all it was a perfect cut, not to far that it had hit the jugular but just enough to break the skin. The mind games had begun, she had hoped to catch him off guard but she hadn't counted on actually cutting him.
He loved to watch her reactions and seeing what she would do if she thought she had messed up. When the blood finally reached the color the real entertainment would begin. Eris knew how much Dante enjoyed staying clean. How would she react, he wondered.

Eris giggled happily as she fell into Dante, breathing in deeply. She loved his scent, it was comforting to her, but as she took in his scent another smell reached her nose. It was more potent, but entirely Dante. It was his blood. Her laughter died upon her lips and her eyes sprang open; they had been closed while she had been laughing. Why did she smell Dante’s blood? She met Dante’s eyes, but then her eyes traveled down and she spotted her knife, covered in Dante’s blood. If it were even possible Eris suddenly appeared even paler. She gasped and began to tremble against Dante.
What had she done?! Swallowing she shook her head from side to side, “no…no no no!” Her knife dropped from her nerveless fingers as she pulled at Dante’s shirt collar. The wound wasn’t deep, but to her it didn’t matter. She had hurt Dante and she didn’t know what to do. He was bleeding! Licking her lips she looked from the wound to Dante’s eyes, completely lost. What was she supposed to do? The wound would heal shortly, but it didn’t matter. Would Dante punish her? How could she fix this?
As she struggled with how to handle the situation she saw that the blood was traveling toward Dante’s shirt collar; his pristine white shirt collar. If Eris knew one thing about Dante, it was the fact that he hated getting dirty. He was the most brutal man she had ever met; she had seen him kill before and not just to feed. He was violent and unpredictable, but a neat freak to the extreme. He liked everything in its place and Eris was constantly pushing him to his limits. Biting her lip she racked her brain for something to do, anything. At a lose Eris did the only thing she could think of.
Leaning down Eris began lapping up the blood. She was hesitant at first, making a single pass with her tongue and glancing up at Dante. He didn’t make a move to show that he was upset, so she continued. With each lick she lost a little bit of her inhibition, the taste of Dante’s blood overriding her fear of him. Within a few short seconds she had taken care of the blood and a soft sigh passed her lips as she met Dante’s eyes, licking her lips clean of any residual blood.

A smile passed over his lips at the fear he could practically feel came from Eris. She was terrified of the injury she had caused and was afraid of what the older vampire would do. The poor thing, how he loved to toy with her. It wasn't her fault, but the man had learned from his master. The woman that had turned him would play mind gamed on him whenever she could, and now he did the same.
He was pleasant to see and feel her tongue on his neck. Despite his cruel treatment, she loved him with all her heart and he loved her way more then he let on. He would not have saved her life when he first met her if he felt nothing for the young girl. Despite his games she was his and nothing would ever split them apart. He would see personally to that.
When her eyes were upon him again, her tongue licking the blood off her lips. He smiled she knew he was to be feared for his unpredictability but she would also know that he couldn't stay mad at her for very long. He raised his hands up and gently placed them around her neck. Pulling her down to him he kissed gently at her lips holding her in place for a few seconds before pushing her back gently.
He placing a hand onto the ground to push himself and Eris up off the ground. Dusting himself off a bit he bent down and picked up the knife that had broken the skin. He spun the blade in hand and held the blade out for her. "I'm glad your happy to see me. But please try to be a little more careful my love," he said with a smile.
"How has the night treated you? Hopefully it was more productive then mine," he asked, if he knew Eris he would probably said no her evening wasn't any better.

Eris dusted herself off as well, fixing her outfit as she did so. Once satisfied that nothing was out of place she turned her attention back to Dante. Smiling sheepishly she took her knife from him. Holding the blade up, she inspected it. It was still slick with his blood. Slowly she licked the blade clean, glancing at Dante as she did so. A soft sigh passed her lips as she slipped the now clean blade back into its hidden sheath. She couldn’t express how happy she was that Dante wasn’t mad at her and so she let it drop. No need in bringing up what had happened. Dante had forgiven her and that was all she needed.
Smiling she shrugged, flipping some wayward strands of hair out of her face. She had fed and then come to the park, Dante knew the rest. All in all her night had been boring and extremely lonely for her, but that wasn’t new, her nights were always boring and lonely when he wasn’t around. Dante knew that she never did much of anything aside from feed when he left her alone. Since she hated being alone his absence always guaranteed that she stayed out of trouble, unless of course trouble found her.
“Boring…I hate when you leave me Dante.”
She pouted; batting her eyelashes a little more than was necessary. They had discussed this more than once. Once upon a time this would have been a serious talk between the two, now it was a playful ritual. Eris always pouted and did her best to guilt Dante into never leaving her, but it never worked and at this point Eris didn’t care. Dante always came back to her and he was never gone for very long, so it wasn’t so bad. Giggling she moved past Dante and headed for a nearby path. She wasn’t ready to go home yet; she wanted to stay in the park just a little longer. Turning she motioned for Dante to follow, a playful smile upon her lips.
“What did you do tonight?”

"I protected our identities, some fools thought that just because they picked up a book on the occult it made them experts. They tried to threaten me, saying things like they would hurt you if I didn't obey them. My guess was that they thought you were just a little goth girl," he said inhaling through his nose to get a whiff of Eris's scent. "Needless to say they won't be making anymore empty threats from now on," he added.
It had never been like this Dante was always a reclusive being preferring to keep away from people until he only needed to feed or if the impulse came to him, to kill. Meeting Eris had opened an entirely new chapter in his life, many years had past, technology and society itself had grown substantially it was truly staggering.
He glanced side ways at Eris as she beckoned him forward and like a moth to the flame he moved after her curious as to what she was doing or what ideas she had in that pretty little head of hers. He glanced around the are a little before continuing forward. Luckily no one had been present to see the spectacle the two had made.
"What exactly are you leading me into Eris? Deeper into the woods of Central Park, their might be monsters around," he said with a mocking tone. Only monsters he despised was the werewolves, he had been attacked by one before and he was able to kill the thing before it could do to much damage to him.
"You wouldn't happen to have some kind of surprise for me would you?" he asked as the leaves rustled under his feet. Depending on the surprise would determine whether or not Eris would be in trouble or not.

Eris giggled, twirling around ahead of Dante. She walked backwards, hands tucked behind her back. “Well I guess they deserved what they got, huh?” She smiled and tilted her head to the side, some of her crimson hair falling into her eyes. Brushing the hair aside she turned back around as she continued to prance down the path. She hummed softly as she went, glancing back at Dante every now and then. “I’m not leading you into anything! I would never do that!” She laughed and moved to walk beside Dante, slipping her arm through his. She rested her head against his shoulder, sighing happily.
As they walked she thought about his comment pertaining to monsters, wondering what it would be like to meet a werewolf. To this day she had yet to meet one, although she wanted to. However, she knew Dante would never allow that to happen. He hates werewolves with a passion so strong Eris is baffled, which is going to make things a little hard for her in the future. Eris is an animal lover through and through, unlike her dear Dante who is only partial to cats, mainly Baby. Eris had plans to get a puppy at some point, though, but she would have to win Dante over first and given his dislike of werewolves was going to be rather difficult.
Sighing happily once more she looked up at Dante, smiling. “Actually I just wanted to go on a nice walk with you, no surprises this time.” She snuggled into his arm and closed her eyes for a few moments as they walked, humming an anime tune as they went. A few short minutes passed and Eris opened her eyes, looking up at Dante once more. “Dante…can I have a pet? Like you?” She looked at him expectantly, hoping he wouldn’t ask what kind she wanted. She knew he would tell her no and that they might actually get into a fight, but she really wanted a puppy. She hadn’t had a dog since she was little and dogs are her pet of choice.
“I promise to take real good care of it!”

Dante looked at Eris and his eyebrow immediately rose up in confusion. She wanted a pet? Why? Yes he had Baby and he loved that little thing only a little less that Eris. But why would she want a pet?. "A pet?" he asked. Of course he would have to ask what kind of a pet. It would be silly not to, she might ask for a dog. Not only was Baby afraid of dogs but Dante hated them himself. They reminded him to much of Werewolves and the last thing he needed was for one of those beasts to infiltrate his home and kill them while they slept.
"What kind of pet, my dear?" he asked. Though he was smart enough to realize what was coming. She would ask for a dog and most likely not the small kind of dog but a big one. He knew her to well not to realize this fact now the only thing remaining would be to figure out how to tell her there would be no chance. He was fond of his cat and the second a dog starts chasing her around is the second the dog would get a knife through the skull.
"Hopefully nothing that will attempt to hurt my cat, hmm?" he let on basically putting out the idea his cat needed to be safe. Above all else was his tendency to be very tidy, if thing decided to make a wreck of everything he would be making burgers out of the thing by sun up. Baby was the perfect pet, a short haired black, gray and white Tabby. She didn't shed on the furniture or clothes and was a very clean pet. Perfect in every way, independent but very affectionate to him. He couldn't ask for more.
