"Keep on the lookout." the voice broke through on Masons earpiece. The Agent stood at the heart of Times Square, his eyes glancing about, taking in each and every face they passed. It was a stressful morning and not simply because he was in downtown New York. One of their own was missing, last scene in this city several days prior. Casimir Goetschl was missing, an Agent that had one been Dixon's partner. The two had a turbulent history and in most regards Mason did not like Casimir. "Subject expected to be in area in four minutes." His attention was snapped to several check points. On various parts of the streets, other Agents stood about. Each doing something different to blend in. One was a hot dog vendor, another was reading a newspaper and a third was carrying on a general conversation with a police officer.
They were in search of a woman, whose name appeared on one of Goetschl's files. When reports broke that Casimir was missing, the Bureau executed a search upon his London and Butte homes. In London they learned the Federal Agent had been turned into a Wolf and had been for some time. The Non-Human Incident Division was rocked to its foundation but in Butte, it was learned that he had been tracking several Vampires but it was various names that did not seem to match up which triggered searches. Alice Louise Jones name appeared on a single stick note with nothing else except New York City and todays date written upon it. Was Goetschl tracking her? Was she of some importance to an investigation he was working on? It seemed with it came to the former Rancher, more questions than answers were rising in the wake of his absence. If Alice knew something, Mason needed to know.
Lifting his hand to his mouth, as if blowing on his palm to get the chill off of them, Dixon spoke into a small mic on his jacket cuff, "When she is spotted do not advance. We do not want her too get startled. I'll initiate contact. Only if she runs do you break cover. Understood?" He listened to the acknowledgment from the other agents on the streets as they rang through. "She is not a suspect, she's a potential source. Our objective is Agent Goetschl's safety. Do not do anything too jeopardize that." Federal Agents had been making the news lately for breaking cover too early and blowing cases. That was the think Mason learned about those stationed in the States, they seemed to eager. Unlike the London Field Office, disciple seemed to be an issue in New York.
"Is the psychological profile ready on this woman yet? Do we have her history? I'm about to address a woman I know nothing about." Mason said, finally letting his hand fall back to his side.
"Funny. Isn't this just like those nights you go to london singles bars? Just use the Dixon charm on her, that should work?" Another Agent joked over the frequency. "We are still trying to pull up information but if shes been sighted heading this way already, you won't have it before she arrives. Looks like your jumping in head first Agent Dixon."
"Wonderful." He muttered under his breath as his eyes glanced around. Decked in blue denim, a black dress shirt tucked into his pants and a thick black trench coat, Dixon looked just like any other individual waiting for a cab. The one difference was what could not be seen. Tucked between his pants and the small of his pants was his standard issue Sig-Sauer P226, his federal badge resting in his back pocket and a pair of handcuffs at the ready on his right side. Dixon was not like most Agents, he was strait business most of the time and though he did not truly like Casimir, he understood the importance of coming to the aid of another Agent in need. They needed answers yet one could only wonder why specifically Casimir had Alice's name written down on a paper.

Outfit "Taxi! Wait....damn it!" Third taxi this week, she was starting to wonder if it was true about Middle Eastern taxi drivers and their distrust of Black people. Not that it mattered to Alice in anyway; sometimes being from the American South had its benefits. Like having a thick skin when it came to prejudice. She sighed, took another sip of her frappuccino and walked on. It was rare to find her on Times Square, finances and location kept her from doing so. Added to the fact that her university was located in northern Manhattan, she never really got the chance travel here (minus the times she's skipped class to watch the Macy's Day Parade). Alice failed at her attempt to flag down her next taxi cab, and in response, she sat down on a bench, in defeat. It was times like these that she regretted moving to New York. It was glamorized as this haven for anyone who wanted to get out of a shitty situation. And Louisiana was a shitty situation. In a way, she felt she was lied to. She didn't know Julliard was that rigorous. And she didn't know that paying for treatment for her dog could add up to two hundred dollars. She also didn't know about New York's odd nightlife. Little vampire girls, grey-eyed vixens, and soft spoken werewolves were just at the tip of the iceberg. She had tried her best to chalk up her encounters as strange dreams or "roleplayers". But she knew, oh she knew. And she wished she didn't. Every moment was tense. She began to be paranoid of her surroundings. Because she never could tell, what if her professor was a vampire? Her friends? What else she didn't about the people around her!? " Wonderful." "What's wonderful?" she asked, the man before did seem to be bothered about something. And she did need to distract herself from thoughts of mythological creatures.

"What's wonderful?" The feminine voice asked, catching even Dixon by surprise. He did not bother to give her a glance, not wanting to distract himself from finding his topic. Obviously his demeanor caught the attention of his fellow agents as a voice cracked over his communications device, -Before you become an ass, realize the damn target is talking to you!- he cupped his ear, pulling the communications piece as he winced in pain, his gaze turning towards the woman as he slid the metallic device into his pocket. The Agent in him took over though the look of complete surprise could not be completely hidden.
"I can't find a decent coffee in this city." Mason was an addict. No not to drugs or booze but coffee. He had to have it at certain points during the day and if he did not get the coffee, all hell would be unleashed. There was no arguing and no debating. If Mason did not have his coffee at set times... things got ugly. So the reason he said 'Wonderful' was a lie at this point, Coffee not being an immediate concern but it allotted him the time necessary to gain composure and address the woman properly. Mason was not Casimir. Goetschl would have been complacent, reclusive and tried to beat around the bush. Dixon learned that most people, especially women, did not like games.
"Alice Jones?" Mason asked with a crooked smile. He be direct but he was still nice. He had to be. Dixon had been a Jehovah Witness and learned that going door to door on Saturday mornings to preach the word of God to people, one had to have a bright smile and be courteous. Being grumpy just did not work. That ideal translated easily into the Bureau. "I'm Mason Dixon, Special Agent Mason Dixon of the Federal Bureau of Investigation." He pulled his wallet out, flashed his golden badge then quickly tucked it away. "We need to get off the street. I have some questions to ask you about a Federal Agent who went missing... Casimir Goetschl." He gave a glance around and waved his hand, almost randomly.
Mason ensured that as he spoke, he was stern and serious but also double checked himself so he did not come off as confrontational. Urgent matters were pressing but it did not mean he had to trample over this womans civil rights to get information. "Don't worry about waving down a taxi. I couldn't get one if my life depended on it." As he finished the sentence a black Ford Explorer screeched to a halt, stopping the flow of traffic. An eruption of loud horns and shouts emerged. "Can I take you someplace... less crowded? We have a coffee shop uptown." Even Mason knew it was getting close to the time for coffee. He could feel it. "As you can tell, we already have a ride."
Even though he probably did not need to usher the urgency anymore than he had, the Agent continued, "Please? A mans life may be at risk." The driver, wearing a traditional two piece black suit, badge on his hip and exposed opened the back passenger side door to the explorer. "Please?"

The first thing she said was, "Oh,". Oh, he meant the werewolf she briefly bumped into? The nice one? Oh, he meant that she had to answer some questions? Oh, if he had only known what she had been through, she was nearly bled dry in Paris. Oh, did he also know she was almost raped by a female vampire? Oh, she still couldn't believe that little girl almost ate her dog. Oh, she also meant a werewolf who owned a wolf, himself. At central park.
Oh, as in oh no. The first thing Alice actually did, was hyperventilate. The familiar feeling of her chest tightening and her eyes watering came upon. The fear, the emotions, the sudden realization of how serious this was. "No, please, don't make do this! I don't know anything! Please don't make me do this! Please." She was crying now, her face was red and wet with tears. Her lack of breath made her crying even worse.
Everything in her hands was dropped immediately. Clothing fell, her drink fell and spilled open. Her phone broke open to reveal two double A batteries. She was on her knees, her hands were shaking, while her face red and wet with tears. She was making a scene, and she didn't care (she probably was too shell-shocked to even realize that she was). People walked by, some looked back, others stayed to see what was wrong with her. The world around her began to spin. The faces around her began to melt and distort into a hellish scene, the man before her morphed into the devil himself.
The sky looked so beautiful today, too. So blue and bright. Her eyes looked to sun for the final time before everything became dark.
Alice had fainted.

Mason knew what was coming as she replied "Oh." Alice's body was giving off the signs of shocked. The Agent in the suit saw it too, as did the others whom had been sprinkled about the area. As those Agents began leaving, the suit approached quietly. He and Dixon could almost anticipate what she was going to do; what her body was about to do. She was going to fight them, try and tell them she knows nothing. Feds were use to the whole 'I don't know anything...' As his eyes read every flicker of emotion that she gave off, she said the classic line "No, please, don't make do this! I don't know anything! Please don't make me do this! Please." Yet the one aspect that threw him off, that he did not anticipate was the outright fear she was holding. Her face flushed, easily visible under her darker complexion then the tears started rolling followed by hyperventilation. Before he could tell her to calm down... she did what he had not anticipated... Alice Louise Jones blacked out.
Mason caught her in his arms, "Start driving." He shouted at the other agent as he scurried into the S.U.V. with Alice. "We need to get her out of here. I need to know what she knows." The Agent nodded as he closed the back door and rushed to the drivers seat. Dixon propped Alice up in the seat next to him, her head resting on the opposite door. Agents were not stupid, the vehicles had the child safety locks enabled so when she woke, she would not be able to bolt. Mason had to ensure all avenues were covered. As the S.U.V. ran two reds, the small flashing lights that showed it was a Authoritative vehicle flashed in the back and front windows, though no siren could be heard. Other agents could be heard over the CB sending orders to local police officers around the area Masons SUV was to clear the streets due to a VIP in the vehicle, to which the NYPD was doing quite well. In New York traffic, they were making great time.
Reaching under the seat, Mason pulled out a white case with a big red cross on it. First Aid. Popping the box open, he pulled a small white cylinder out, put the box back under the seat but turned his attention to the Driver. "Tell them to find me information. Her fear isn't normal. She knows something but I don't think it's necessarily about Casimir. Run a check through the database on any known associates of hers. I want to know who she specifically knows and don't tell me we can't find anything." The Driver nodded but took note of the white cylinder and rolled down his window, forcing a laugh to escape Masons lips. Given the fact that Alice had passed out, meant that some changes to the Agents plans had to be made. Instead of heading to a public location, as was expected, they had gone down an Alley on 171st. As they pulled in, another black SUV reversed down the Alleyway and another pulled in behind them. The other agents regrouping and acting as lookouts. Though it was not thought that Alice's life was in immediate danger, it was still precautionary to have people acting like security.
The driver exited the vehicle but not before rolling down the other windows, leaving Mason and the unconscious Jones in the backseat. Letting out a light sigh, Mason snapped the stick which let off a fowl smell between feces and vomit and waved it just under her nose.
"Rise and Shine."

((Sorry for my lateness, real life had settled in.))
Whenever she dreamed, she always dreamed of dead musicians. Janis, Kurt, and John* are just a few to be named. Usually it was a group of deceased music makers that she dreamed with, she never a one on one talk with any of them.
Except for this one time.
The setting was a deserted train station, no, not a subway, but the train stations that exist in small, normal towns. Everything was perserved in the time that it was built - possibly the late 1800's - and, of course, she was alone. And so, Alice sat on a bench and waited. And waited. And waited. Until finally, she heard footsteps that echoed louder as he or she approached.
"Why are you scared?" a familiar male voice asked. She smiled. It was her father. He looked far younger, possibly his early 30's, than he did when he died. Everything about his attire was new and polished, his hair was trimmed perfectly and his teeth seemed to glow without a speck in sight. He was carrying an instrument case in his hands, which was new, of course.
"Because I don't want this to ruin my chance at a normal life."
"I see." So, they talked, for what seemed to be a long time (although in the waking world, it was only fifteen minutes). They talked about the family, her mother and the rest of the Jones clan, he asked her how New York was and how hard her curriculum at her college was. They talked about her pet and the woman she was staying with for the time being. And then it soon became time for him to leave and for her to wake up.
"It's time for me to go...again." "I know. It's time for me wake up, too. I'm scared." "Don't be. What you're about to do is important and it will help you understand how much you don't know about this world."
She began to cry, she begged him to not leave her, not again, not when she needs him the most, but all he could do was tell her that he loved her and he hugged her. As they held eachother in their arms, her father began to glow and fade away into tiny specks of light. And even when his face was gone, when the last trickle of white that was once her father's had left her. She stayed put. And that was when the horrid odor of vomit and crap filled her nostrils and then she woke up and fond herself in the back seat of a S.U.V.
SMACK! Her small palm delivered a sharp slap onto Mason's face, "What do you want from me?"
