Alexander stood a little breathlessly looking around him with a face that had witnessed a crime. His mouth was slightly ajar and then formed into a pout as he evaluated what just happened. He'd worn his Glasses today, and he carelessly ripped them off behind his ears and shoved them in his long coat pocket along with his hands. He Chewed the inside of his mouth, and looked at his boots, deep in thought. I could Run after....No No. Too many people still walking around here. That asshole. Its not as if he could report into the police. Well he could, but there would be a whole load of complications there. And Alexander didn't really favor the police, they where the same in the 1890's as they were now. Annoying pricks who hindered him instead of helping him. It was just his God damn! laptop that the person had took. He was more annoyed at the fact that he didn't realize the guy that slipped it from under his arm. Too caught up in his own world imaginary world where Boston blared in his ears and he was a famous rock star somewhere. That would make a good statement. I was uh. Listening to my ipod and...daydreaming too much to notice my laptop being missed. I also have heightened senses but still didn't notice till the crucial moment. God its embarrassing. He was getting slightly funny looks from passers by as he dragged his hands through his brown messy hair and looked on rather distraughtly. He needed a cigarette. But as he looked through his various pockets, finding keys, a wallet, chewing gum, some paper, and then eventually the cigarette packet, He had no lighter. "Your Fucking kidding me!" He swore to no-one in particular but the cigarette between his index and thumb that was just waiting to calm him down.

Listening to the rhythmic thumping of her shoes on the sidewalk, Amaya slowly turned her head to the side and chanced a glance back at the man. Shit. Is he going to chase me? It had happened before. Of course no one had ever caught her. Otherwise she'd be in jail, not vacationing in London. Scrutinizing his face, she relaxed a little. No.Thank god. He doesn't look like someone I want mess with. Even from this far away, he looked pissed, not that he didn't have a right to be. She had just stolen his laptop. A little smirk pulled at her lips at the thought. The guy had been just been walking, the same as everyone else. What had set him a part from the others had also made him a perfect target. He'd been completely absorbed by the music he was listening to, not paying enough attention to notice her scoping him out. Even after she'd snatched the laptop right from under his arm, he'd stood there like a baffled idiot.
After a few seconds, Amaya pulled her hood down, turned her head back to the road and quickly rounded a corner into one of the narrow side streets. A pretty nice car, shiny but nothing too special, was parked along the side of a building. It was a rental. She dug a set of keys out of her pocket and fumbled with the lock. Her heart was pounding in her ears, making it difficult to concentrate. Finally getting the door open, she plopped the laptop down on the backseat. She shed her black hoodie and tossed it over her newly claimed prize. It didn't take long for her to rid herself of her other two sweatshirts which she used as a disguise to make her look, well bulkier and more like a man. Running a brush through her hair, she ducked back out of the car. A soft whine made her smile. Her dog jumped into the drivers seat and pawed at her. "I know Kita." She fondly scratched the puppy's ear. "I don't want to go either." Reluctantly closing the door on her furry friend, Maya made her way out of the alley, back to street. Now dressed in a gray tank top, no one would be able to recognize the slender Asian woman for what she really was, a thief.
It may sound crazy, but she was walking toward the man she'd just stolen from. He looked upset to say the least, and the way he was staring at that cigarette, he probably needed it to calm down. So, why didn't he just light it already? As she passed him, Maya sighed. Fine. Giving him a lighter was the lest she could do. She stopped in front of him and pulled something out of her back pocket. Completely at ease, she asked, "Hey, you need a light?"

Alexander ground his teeth together,His eyes still focusing on the cigarette in his hand. "Yeah, Your damn fucking right..." He scornfully said, obvious that he was actually talking to someone. One thing usually didn't annoy the hell out of him, but two things, and two things in a row, unleashed the inner blood-drinking-human-killing creature in his normally calm eyes. He looked up finally with a look that could kill, but it took him less than a second to realise he was actually talking to a human being. A very Pretty Human being....Not the time! Not the place...
"..Oh shit, Sorry! Sorry. I didn't mean to snap."He apologized frantically. A look of horror came over him that he was that rude to someone who actually wanted to help him. He blinked slowly, then realised she had a lighter in her hand. "Thank you. Your a saint. I love you. I don't care if I've never saw you before, I love you. L-O-V-E you."Alex said a geeky grin spreading across his face. He knew his was mumbling, and he knew she was going to walk away and give him a look of pity. His emotions changing like a pregnant woman's in a matter of minutes. He was surprised people weren't left with backlash. He was a Man after all.
He took the Lighter Graciously and lit his smoke up, He closed his eyes and smiled just the bit wider. Then he remembered more manners. "Sorry I didn't ask, You want a Cigarette? I know if you have a lighter, then you probably have some, but maybe you'd like mines, because you helped me in a time of mental breakdown...." Alex continued going slightly off the point. He did that in stressful or nervous situations. Ever since he hit the age of puberty, and that was a while ago. Even if his body did only look in his early twenty's. Though he did quite often act like a Teenage boy. Which he felt awful for doing so. Maybe that's why women tended to get a little fed up of him. ....I need to stop thinking about other shit!
He sighed a little and looked around him a little longingly. Should he ask if she saw anyone? He doubt anyone would have bothered to notice. It would have been 'just another person'. Maybe he could smell their scent. Then again he wasn't really paying attention to smell. Now he was, he could smell the warmness and sweetness radiating off the small woman. Or maybe that was her blood. Either way, Still nice.
He was struck with an idea. The Laptop smelt of him. He could smell himself out. However stupid it sounded in his head, it made sense. It smelt of vampire, and not just any vampire, him. Unless some Wolf-boy had stolen it, and which in that case he was staying a mile from it and the guy can keep it and do whatever the hell he liked with it. He wasn't doing to be scared shitless by some dog for a laptop. Then though it did have personal matters on it. His face froze from its happy smiley state as he remember that was on his laptop. Journal entry's....Name of his past victims, the things he used to cover their missing status up with. Not to mention a whole bunch of other incriminating and embarrassing items. Maybe he should get it back.

For a moment there, Amaya was sure he knew what she'd just done. The spiteful tone to his voice was enough to raise her suspicions, but the murderous glint in his eyes was enough to give her a heart attack. It really wasn't smart to press her luck, which sucked already. It was time to get out of here.Alright. A slow step back and then make a break for it. He'll never catch you. It was a nice thought, but if it actually worked, she'd be surprised. Even so, the girl managed to inch backward. Alright. One more step, then run. Just as she was about to turn, the man spoke, only it wasn't a death threat that came from his lips. No. He was apologizing to her. Seriously... Wow. Maybe my luck's changing after all. She smiled warmly. "Don't worry about it. She chuckled a bit at her overreaction. Though, I have to admit, you had me scared for a second." So the guy had a temper, it's not like he was going to have her for dinner or anything.
Her tense muscles unwound and her heart rate, which she had noticed had quickened until now, returned to normal. Once again relaxed, Maya grinned, obviously amused as he rambled on about loving her. He called me a saint. If that's not ironic, I don't know what is. I mean, I am the one who pissed him off in the first place. She was even surprised when he offered her a cigarette. Call her judgmental, but she just hadn't taken him for the giving type. Probably because he'd cussed her out and glared at her like she was some kind of monster. "Well, actually, I kind of trashed all of mine. See, I'm trying to quit but..." The cigarette was definitely a temptation, but she wasn't going to give in it. Just say no. It's not that hard. You don't need it. Her lips twitched slightly before answering. "No. Thanks, though." Her voice was a bit strained. That was harder than she'd though it would be.
Unfortunately, things didn't get any better. The grin stretching across her face vanished in less than a second, as if someone had just slapped her. I helped him during a mental breakdown. Oh boy. I'm the one who caused it. Whoever this guy was, he was sending her on one hell of a guilt trip. "Yeah... It was nothing, really." Nervously playing with a strand of hair, she bit her lower lip and silently watched as he glanced about. No doubt he was looking for that thief of his. Looks like she was safe... He had no idea, but something was going on in his head. Though what, Maya couldn't even guess. It's not like he could actually discover her secret. He'd have to have superhuman powers, or just a really good bloodhound, to track his laptop. A frightened gleam sparked in her innocent eyes. He didn't have a bloodhound did he?
That would be just her luck, though, stealing from the only guy on the street who could actually figure out the truth. That would suck. But... It just wasn't possible. The odds were actually in her favor this time. Still... Wow. Who's worked up now? I've got quit scaring myself. After regaining mot of her composure, Amaya brushed a stray lock of hair out of her face. "My name's Amaya, by the way." She grinned and jokingly added, "Just thought you'd like to know your savior's name." The woman looked completely innocent, but she'd tripped up, letting her fear show through. It was time to cover that up. Casually, she asked, "So... what got you so pissed anyway? I mean, something must have, because I swear you looked like you were going to kill me for a second. Whatever happened, it couldn't have been that awful."

Alex Smiled a little curiously at her as he sensed, heard, whatever it was that made him able to do so, her heart rate change speed over time. He was practically dieing to say ' whats getting you so worked up..' But he kept his mouth closed, sealed with an innocent smile. " I tend to scare people. Not purposely though. I apologize again." He said dipping his head meekly. He didnt really like to turn into the big bad beast unless it was really necessary. Though he did have pale skin which contrasted with his dark hair, and well, his teeth weren't completely round... But Hey, He knew no-one actually paid attention to your teeth. Unless they where a dentist. He hoped she wasn't a dentist. "...Are you a dentist?" He said before he could stop himself, with a level of worry in his tone. He knew he looked shifty at that point as he was wondering if it was that obvious he was hiding something. Time after time after time, I always do this....Learn Alex Learn! Though she seemed Slightly nerve-racked at points too, Twirling her hair, Biting her lip... Heeyy. I do that too.
He put his Cigarette packet away a good while after she said no thanks. He forgotten he had it in his hand at the time. "Oh! Sorry...again...for tempting you. I kind of forget that its bad for you. Not for me though. I'm never going to get sick from these babies." He smiled again patting his back jeans pocket where he put the packet. Boy, He was saying sorry alot today. Did he mean it? Every word. Something made him want to thank a lot of people, and please them. Humans where just so cute or something. Which if he said anywhere else with another other of his kind, they'd bring the sun down to his head.
"Amaya, Oh, that's nice. Haven't heard any pretty names in a while." He nodded furiously, agreeing with himself. "Alexander." He said pushing a stand of hair back that was in his vision. His face became grave at the reminder of his loss. "Oh That, Uh. Laptop, is well, Missing. It decided to go on a walk with someone. And there's some kind of important stuff on it." He laughed a little nervously. "Though I have a...Feeling, Where I can find it. I'm sure I'll get it again by the nights end." He smiled, relaxed now as he was sure of this theory. "Still Pretty annoyed though. Even more if they have looked through my stuff."He said, his face turning into a shadow again.

He tends to scare people. Well, that's... comforting. At least she wasn't the only one, though she probably had the best reason for having an anxiety attack because of him. Unless he was a murderer or something, but with that perfect hair, lanky build, and absolutely gorgeous eyes, he didn't exactly look like the killer type. However, appearances could be very deceiving. No one knew that better than Amaya.
Narrowing her eyes, she studied the man while he wrestled with his own thoughts. There was something different about him, and whatever it was, he was purposefully trying, not very well, to hide it from her. Not to mention, it was making him worry. That alone was putting her on edge. Maybe she should leave... No, no. Not this time. At least, not yet anyway. Caught up in her own tangled web of suspicions, she barely heard his question. A dentist? Why is he asking such a weird question? Maya slowly shook her head in reply. She was only nineteen. Definitely not a dentist.
Oh shit. Another apology. Didn't he know she already wanted to bang her head against a brick wall? If I live to be 102, I will never help one of my victims again. The guilt just wasn't worth it. Uncomfortable in her own shoes, the woman shifted yet again and smoothed down the wrinkled in her shirt. Anything to take her mind off this mess she'd gotten herself into. After he finally told her his name, she visibly relaxed. Alexander was not the name of a killer. A sympathetic look crossed her face. ”You lost your laptop? I'm sorry, but I, uh... Well, I don't think you're going to get it back. At least, I hope you don't.” Amaya nervously coughed, fiercely combing her fingers through her hair, the worst of her nervous habits.
“I meant to say I hope you do. But really, it isn't likely. That thug is probably halfway across London by now.” I should be! Why the hell did I come back here? Amaya was watching him like a hawk. If he so much as moved a finger, she'd know and would be gone in a flash. At least he didn't seem so pissed anymore. It was just some stupid laptop, after all. Still... any normal human being would call the cops on her, even if they were only annoyed. Which, of course, made her even more nervous. Going to jail in London, England was not how she had planned to spend her vacation.
“I swear, I only saw the desktop.” Maya felt trapped in a pit. Every word, she dug the hole a little deeper. I should just shut up now.... That was easier said than done. With a nervous smile and a careful step back, she stuttered, ”i-I mean th-the thief probably wouldn't look. I bet she... or he just wanted to sell it. Earn a little cash.” Feeling flighty, she stumbled backward again. There was a defeated look veiling her face. ”Look, if you want it, I'll get it for you. Just don't the police.” If he believed that, he was damned fool. Her plan was to walk back to her car and get the hell out of here. And his laptop was going with her. If there was “important” stuff on there, she wanted to see it.

Alexander's eyebrows raised considerably during her 'confession'. He decided to keep his face neutral as possible, but in his head he was weighing up the options. He could let her keep the laptop, and leave her be, but that was stroked out pretty quickly. With the information on that, she could quickly blackmail him. He could Get the laptop and then leave her be, But... He didn't just want to leave her be. He quite liked this girl, and disliked her at the same time. She had some Balls to steal. And the fact that if he was just like anybody else, she would have gotten away with it. The third option was to use her as a energy source, though he was pretty up and about, since he Fed only a few days ago, and he disliked spilling blood unnecessarily, it was a waste.
"I stay far away from the cops. Your safe. From them." He slightly placed these mild warnings in, for her own benefit and his entrainment. It was a fact he was getting that laptop again. He didn't have to be careful with his words.
"You can keep it. I just ask one thing, Can i have your hand for a minute? He said slowly placing the palm of his hand out in front of her. "People are around. I'm not going to kill you or anything, if thats what your worried about."Alexander added sincerely. Not yet. Well maybe. Depends if we are on speaking terms next time i need a top up. He knew as soon as she gave her hand, he'd got her. Her scent, his way to track her. He already had it, but if he got it directly, It would make the job so much easier. He knew what he was doing, was she?
"You can't hit a girl after all.' He said with a knowing smile. He was wondering when to spring the 'V' word upon her, Maybe whenever he was in the place where the laptop was being kept. Pin her up against something....Make her fall to his charms.... She's playing with fire.
He didn't realize how still he was being, he hadn't blinked in a while, Except his eyes had widened slightly. The fact that she was going all nervous and scared on him, made him feel a tiny bit bad. he did have a soft spot for human women. And the fact that she was so small and cute.... Wait wait wait. She stole, My laptop. If it was a guy by now, i would have ripped his throat out already. But shes not a guy, so she mixing with my emotions. Doesn't even know what shes doing. For fuck sake.

”Hitting girls is definitely wrong.” Maya agreed with a smile of her own. She paused a moment, then glanced down at his open palm. Looking back up, her eyes shining with confusing and suspicion, Maya slowly raised her own hand. Just before before setting it down, she hesitated. This feels dangerous. It shouldn't... But it does. Maybe I should think about this first.
Alexander seemed like a pretty decent guy. He'd remained level-headed after she'd admitted her crime. He hadn't struck her or harmed her in any way. Her hadn't even cursed at her for that matter. Of course, he wasn't any angel. His threats hadn't gone unnoticed. You're safe. From Them. And then there was the issue of how he'd dismissed the idea of killing her. There are people around. Does that mean he would've done it if they were alone? Instead of trying to answer that question, Maya preferred to pretend she'd heard him wrong both times. Perhaps she had.
Even stranger still was the matter of this man, this stranger actually allowing her to keep his laptop. No matter how many ways you looked at it, that would never make sense. He should have jumped at the offer she'd given him to go and fetch it, especially if there was stuff on there that he wanted to remain secret. To Maya, there was really only one explanation: Alexander was toying with her. This was all just some game. It had to be.
Keeping that In mind, Amaya began to watch him even closer. She'd notice even the slightest movement, whether it was the hint of a smile or the shift of his eyes, she would notice. However, to her dismay, she soon realized that there was nothing suspicions about what he was doing. What worried her was what he was not doing. He wasn't blinking. Wasn't breathing. He was stiff as a statue and had been for quite awhile.
Taking a slow breath and then silently releasing it, Maya tried to rationalize with herself. Everyone has to breath. It''s dark and I'm scared. This is all just in my imagination. He's not going to hurt me, and if he does, well then I'll just have to kick his ass. The thought made her smile, mostly because it got her mind off of her fears and suspicions.
What had felt like hours of contemplating to Amaya was really only a few seconds. No longer seeing any harm in the man's simple request, the women gave in and said “Alright. If that's really all you want, then... Well, I guess it's fair.” Still being a little cautious, she very lightly set her hand in his, obviously trying not to touch him. It wasn't personal, she just thought this was an awfully strange way of getting revenge. Most of her fears were dead and buried, but one was still clawing its way into her mind. She'd zeroed in on the complete stillness, so strange and unusual, and she just couldn't let it go."Ummm... Alex, I hope you don't mind if I call you that, but you're not, well not you're not moving, not even blinking. Are you okay?

As soon as she lightly placed her hand in his he brought it slowly to his mouth, watching her expression closely, as he knew she was watching him with hawk-eyes. He didnt pull her hand towards his lips, more guided it, gently. What anyone else but himself took for a normal average kiss on the hand, was so much slower, and there was so much more of dissect from the experience for him. He let the taste of her skin roll to his lips, Storing it in his mental tastebook. And the smell, the smell of her was his key. This was whenever he finally started to breathe normally again, in and out quietly, his abnormally cool, yet not freezing breath falling on her hand. He noted the fresh soapyness, then there was perfume or something of some sort. But it was individual, and he could find her now where ever she was going. He ran one of his fangs lightly against her skin, not on purpose, but it was just tempting him, Like a big juicy apple. Snow White all over again. But no, he contained himself and smiled at her as he brought her hand away. All this happened in a matter of seconds, but to him, it felt like he was taking his time.
"I'm moving now... I'm good."He replied to the unanswered question, His eyes gleaming with something, that he wasn't quite sure what is was himself. Thrill for the hunt? Or thrills from something else? "Sorry if I'm...forward."He said laughing at little at the fact that he was still aplogizeing even after he knew she was the cause of his anger earlier. He knew not everyone liked people putting a part of themselfs near someones mouth, and well, she didnt really know him, so there was the whole possibility of her being disgusted at the thought of his mouth anywhere near her. He could imagine the red ebbing of pain on his face if she took it that way. I guess I would deserve it. Yeah, I almost defiantly would.
He was at a lose at what his big master plan would end with. Saying it all did go to plan, and he found her with his laptop and got it back, what next? She would know there was something abnormal about him for being able to find her so fast, and even finding her at all. Would he kill her? No. He couldn't, she looked scared already and that was bad enough, because he had talked to her, and actually got to like her in a small matter of time, he wouldn't be able to. Cornering someone in the middle of a street and then breaking their neck, wasn't really his style. Especially not on women. That was using his advantages unfairly. And not on her. But could he do afterwards? There was no other way. Would she keep a secret?, Since he knew her true identity and well, he could kill her, or at least she believed that.

There was something different about him and it was keeping her here, despite every instinct that had been screaming at her to leave while she still could, but she'd waited to long. Now, she couldn't get out. Even if it was the last thing she did, Maya was going to figure out what he was hiding. All she had to do was piece together the clues. Her idea about about him being some cold-blooded murder was pretty much a bust. Whatever he was hiding was probably worse. There was one thing she was sure about: his laptop would be a goldmine. In fact, it was probably all she needed to figure this out. There was only one problem. She wasn't willing to let this man just walk away.
The deafening sound of Amaya's pounding heart faded into a mere whisper as she listened to him speak. His apology didn't bother her as the others had. She felt no guilt and as her hand drifted back to her side, the hint of a smile bloomed across her lips. If she could just trick him into telling her that would be so much easier than tracking him down. Though, it would likely be more fun and probably pretty easy to find him with all his personal information on that laptop. No. I may be a thief, but I'm not a stalker. That's just down right scary. With a laugh, she shook her head and lightly teased, “Well, I don't forgive you. Kissing a strange girl on the hand is completely unforgivable.” She smirked mischievously, letting him know she was only kidding, but the smile quickly dimmed as she felt something splash on her cheek.
Turning her eyes up to the night sky, she saw dark clouds had gathered. A raindrop fell on her cheek, sliding down her face. “Does it ever stop raining in London?” As if in answer, the few random drops became a slow drizzle and a bitterly cold wind brushed past them. Wrapping her arms around herself as chills swept through her body, Maya began to wish she'd brought her coat. She walked past Alexander, seeking shelter from the rain under the awning of the shop beside him. As if things weren't bad enough, the storm worsened. She sighed. I'm going to be drenched by the time I reach my car. She looked longingly at the alley where her car was parked. ”Thanks for not freaking out on me when you found out about your laptop. Most guys wouldn't have been so forgiving.”
She paused for a moment and met Alex's gaze. Her eyes almost seemed to bore into him. There could be no doubt that she knew something about him was abnormal and it was more than just his past. It was more than just his personality. She knew better than that. “You''re different.” Her voice was soft, but there was a hard edge to it. The statement she'd just made was an accusation, but she hadn't said it to convict him of any crimes. As odd as it sounds, she wanted him to know that she hadn't forgotten the strange ways he'd acted. It's like he's not even human. The accusing glint in her eyes faded as the freezing wind reminded her how cold it was. ”I guess I should leave before it starts raining any harder.”She glanced once more at the dark alley. There was dread in her eyes. She loved storms and rain, but she didn't want to have to walk through them.

He could tell she knew something was up. Just looking at her face was enough for anyone to see that she was striving to find out something. But the muscle encased in her ribcage held more truths than any mouth could tell. It felt like the both of them where playing a game. And someone was going to lose. He was determined it wouldn't be him. It was getting darker, and he knew the others would be out like him, in the prime time of their day as everyone else dispersed to sleep. "You should be more careful whenever it gets dark."Alexander absent-mindedly said, looking around him, anyone could have met her, or maybe later, but he would be watching her, so there was no chance of anyone trying to kill her then. He looked back at her with eyes of seriousness. He didn't know why so many humans took chances, but it was in human nature. A nature he wanted back.
The edges of his mouth rose into a smile, He could so clearly see and notice there was things swirling around in her head, and she was still able to crack a joke. Women and their multi-tasking... He noticed her reaction to the rain, before he noticed the rain itself. He grinned at the fact it was raining, and winds where blowing. "Its turning into a set off a horror movie. He laughed childishly. A really bad Dracula remake. He was terribly indifferent about the weather. He wasn't going to get that much cold from the rain, unless he let it get to him. But Amaya, She was shivering, and getting wet. He followed her under shelter, For he would have been probably still standing out in the small storm if she hadn't have moved. Even with the rain pouring down in buckets, he still noticed the small glance towards the alleyway. .... What's down there... His thoughts where interrupted by...a thank you? "Thanks.....for your thanks."He beamed, knowing full well it was a stupid sentence, But still wanting to get his point across.
He looked back out at the rain,Watching the way it clouded everything into a palette of greys. His apartment wasn't far from here, But it wasn't his apartment he'd be heading to next. He turned his head swiftly towards her at the sound of her statement. "Your Right." He answered, His voice tired and quiet, his eyes not meeting hers. It sucks.
He smiled a little as she said her excuse to leave. Finally looking at her. "Your going home, wearing that? Dont be stupid. Take my coat." He said slipping his long coat off sleekly down his arms and then dropping it over her shoulders. Leaving him in a T-shirt and his jeans. "And Keep it."He added pushing his hands into his jeans pockets shuffling his feet. He wasn't terribly bothered, She wasn't getting his laptop, but she can have his coat. Not to mention it was protocol that whenever the girl was cold, the guy gave her his coat.
"I'll see you....around."He smiled as innocently as he could as her, but his gaze was filled with amusement.

Amaya flashed him a dazzling smile, so sweet and angelic that it would've fooled the devil himself. Of course, she was well aware that her looks weren't getting her out of this mess, not that she wanted out. He intrigued her, even if he did creep her out at times. She really hated being so deceitful to someone she'd just met, especially someone who'd been so nice to her. However, judging by the twinkle in his eyes he was being every bit as deceptive as she was. To be honest, the way he'd said his goodbye was a bit... unsettling. It was like he was sure they'd meet again. "Oh? Yeah, I suppose you might. She walked past him slowly as she slipped her arms through the sleeves of the coat and pulled it over her head to keep her hair from getting wet. Then, I guess I'll see you around."
Braving the cold rain, she stepped from the awning and began a brisk march down the sidewalk. There was no reason to bother with trying to avoid a direct route to her car. She didn't now the streets of London very well and would only end up getting herself lost, so she picked up her pace into a jog and quickly disappeared into the shadows of the alley. A furry face peered at her through the drivers side window. Maya looked at her little puppy with pity. My poor Kita. I shouldn't have left her here all alone. Opening the door, she stroked Kita's silky fur and then clipped her to a leash and leaned into the backseat. Gathering up her prizes of the day- several purses, each of them costing enough to break the bank even without the stuff inside, a few iPods, and, of course, Alexander's laptop, she shoved it all in a shopping bag. Ducking into her seat, not even bothering to shut the door, she backed the car up until she'd hit a dead end. She stepped back out with Kita and her bag of stolen items. Ditching her car, she quickly hopped onto the trunk and then cleared the low wall blocking the alley. I'll just call in and report it stolen.
Winding her way through the familiar maze of streets, probably the only route she knew in the whole city, Maya finally made it to her hotel. She was dripping wet despite the coat, but all her painstakingly "legally" acquired items were dry as could be. They had been her main priority. Little Kita was leaving puddles wherever she stepped. Inside the lobby, the desk attendant gaze her an amused grin, which she gladly returned, knowing just how silly she must look in the long coat which was practically at her feet, not to mention the over-stuffed bag and sopping wet pooch. Feeling safe now, she relaxed and took the elevator up to the third floor. After entering her room, she set down the bag and shrugged off the black coat. Tossing it on the bed, she glanced around the room and sighed. It was nice. If you liked the feeling of being suffocated by Victorian decorations. She would've gladly given anything for a few posters on the walls. She collapsed on the bed, but she couldn't completely relax. Her eyes were on the bag. Her mind on Alexander, or more specifically, what the hell was so different about him.
After a few seconds, she gave up on resisting and exhaled in exasperation. Alright, alright. I've just got to look. Pushing herself off the bed and digging through the bag, she pulled out the computer and set it at the end of the crappy bed. Laying on her stomach, she flipped the screen open and found Word. There was sure to be something there. Her eyes widened at the long list of saved files. All of them seemed to be people's names. Clicking on 'Michelle Winters", she quickly scanned through the info. What the... This is crazy. No way it's true. Absolutely no way. Exiting out of the terrifying file, she decided to open another. Again, there was the cause of death, cover up, and the day of death. I was right! I can't believe... Oh shit. If he killed all these people... Amaya shivered at the unfinished thought, but tried not to let it get to her. There was no way he could find her, and even if he could, how was he going to get in here? After calming herself a bit, Amaya began looking through other files. She wanted to quit reading, but no matter how she tried, she just couldn't.

Alexander watched her casually, Leaning against the shop wall, grinning at the sight of her in his coat, because it just was so funny. As he expected she headed down the alley way she had looked down before. Few seconds passed and soon her small frame had passed out of sight, but her smell hadn't, and what alarmed him the most was the fact she had a dog. he smelt the canine scent blended in with hers. House pet then, But still. Shit. Just my luck He could brave this for his laptop. He didn't know the size or breed of the dog, just the eerie smell coming off it.
He swallowed, and looked around into the night for a viewpoint of some sort. He needed somewhere high, somewhere where he could follow her path without actually stalking her. Haha. Hypocritical sentence. He stepped out of the shelter of the awing, the rain hitting him like bullets, and rubbed one of his arms, The wind, nor the rain had come to effect him yet, it was just he felt so exposed. Whenever it was dark like his his pale arms practically Illuminated. He threw a packet of soggy cigarettes down one of the gutters, before examining the small balcony he spotted above the shop. He could clear that with a run up, and then jump his way to the roof. That was if, everything went to plan and no-body witnessed his amazing long distance jumping feat.
But the street was silent, and he didn't hear anything approaching, so he took the chance. A smile formed on his face as he judged the distance, his knees bent, working out how much force and how much more he had to walk away. He loved this part of the package. It was as close as anyone could get to flying. He moved quickly, Not wanting to hang around, And glided like an acrobat onto the balcony, but his landing wasn't so nice to look at as he slammed his head off the wall and rolled onto the ground. Laughing naturally. Finished with a touch of Alex. He gathered himself up, and dusted his jeans down before attempting the next part of his climb, This was relatively easy peasy, as it was a striaght up and down grab. And within seconds he was on the roof with his bird-eye view.
He crouched and made his way to the opposite side of the building, the nearest part of the place to the alley way. Damn, That woman walks fast. He conduced, as he spotted her halfway across London, And from the way she was going he knew what hotel she'd be heading to. One he knew quite well actually, A vampire worked there on night shifts, and let him off with bringing in his food every now and again, But this was different. Knowing that guy could get him into her room. He knew how high the stakes where. He understood. He could easily get to the place within a good 10 minutes of running at an overly fast speed, using the backstreet's and avoiding the main roads and the people.
He got there finally, Drenched, His shirt clung to his skinny frame, and his jeans felt like a heavy weight. And his hair, Well, that was another story. He uncomfortably made his way to the reception, his boots making a squelching noise all the way, and asked the the guy he knew that worked there, He could tell by their wary faces, they knew to keep out of the way.
In no-time at all he was at her door, with a key-pass. He stood quietly, Wondering how it was best to open the door without making any noise, if he did it quickly, and this was vampire quickly, would she notice a small noise? Nyeeeh. I guess. I dont really need an entrance. though it would help. Behind that door was his laptop.....and a dog. And a woman. so the two good things equalled the bad one out, and as he slided the pass through, and was in the room within a blink of an eye, he was smiling, Happily. Until he noticed she had the laptop open and was looking at all the dead girls and boys. He remained still, watching her horrified expression. Its not that bad... "You got a towel?" He asked, finally breaking the silence, knowing that he looked very unlike the persona she had in her mind about him currently.

Ears perked at the sound of the door opening, Kita sprinted across the room. The small puppy, only about seven months old, sprung up on the bed and nosed her way under her owner's arm. Excited at the sight of the stranger her little tail started wagging and she barked a few times. The hyper Spaniel mix constantly switched from pacing in circles to pawing her owner.
"Kita, stop that. I don't want to play." Amaya sternly scolded. Without taking her eyes off the screen, she shoved the canine away from her. She was too absorbed in reading to have noticed anyone enter the room. However, Alexander's voice was far from ignored. The moment she heard him speak, she closed the laptop. Her steady pulse quickened into a frenzied pounding. She was off that mattress and on her feet in less than a second. Unable to speak, she swallowed. This is ridiculus! I've got to calm down. She'd met people like him before, murders that is. She lived in the Bronx district of New York City. It was likely that she ran into murderers every day just by walking down the street. Not to mention, her 'job' forced her to work with some of the shadiest characters in the entire city. After a moment, she finally turned her eyes on him. Soaked to the bone with clothes clinging to him like a second skin, he didn't in the least look threatening.See, he's no different than before. The only thing that's changed is now I know for sure that he really is a murderer. He's still the same cute guy who couldn't stop apologizing.
After rationalizing with herself for at least a solid minute, she let out a slow breath. A towel... Seriously? He manages to follow me, somehow sneaks into my room and all he wants is a towel? You know, for a killer, he isn't so bad. Might as well humor him. Though Maya was practically dieing to a few questions of her own, she quickly nodded and finally answered his question. "Yeah. Hold on a sec." Her eyes fell back on the laptop. As of now, it was her only bargaining chip. She knew what he'd done and if she decided to tell the authorities, the information on it was almost as good as a confession. Maya tucked it under her arm then, keeping him in the corner of her eye, walked over to a tiny closet and grabbed a clean towel from the shelf inside. "Here," she said while tossing it to him.
Nervously combing her fingers through her hair, she decided it was best not to ask him about the people he'd killed. Or why he'd done it. In past experiences, questions like that never went well. Of course, she wouldn't be able to bury her curiosity forever. She was already going to hound him with questions. Eventually, one of those two would come up."Now, are you going to tell me how the hell you found me or am I going to have to figure it out myself? Either way, she was going to find out. Where did you get that key card? She asked, noticing that he had one in his hand. And unless stalking people is just a past time of yours, then I assume you have a reason to be here... What is it?"

Alexander was multitasking, one eye on the dog, one eye on the laptop. He backed himself into a corner as he eyed the dog, his face grimacing at the small animal. "It doesn't....bite does it?"Alexander asked her, biting his own lip as his breathing grounded to a halt. That's a stupid question, they always bite. Always., He knew if it was any possibility for him to get paler, he would have. Forget the dog,Forget the dog... He cleared his throat and took a few nervous steps back to his original position.
He had to smile a little at the fact she took the laptop with her. She was a smart thinker. Not to mention, Kind, for getting him a towel, even though he followed her all the way to where she was staying, and with the files she saw, well, she should be pretty scared of him. Only she wasn't, Which was a huge shame for him because he always ended up looking like the wimp. His deeds and actions may have the shock factor, but in person, there was no way anyone could find him intimidating. It did bruise his ego, but it helped to blend in naturally with everyone else, Because there is some monster vampires, that you know just by looking at them for a split second that they come from hell.
He caught the towel with ease, and then proceeded to rub his hair furiously, causing it to stick up in random places. He attempted in vain to smooth it down, but ended up cursing under his breath while patting the rest of himself down. Anything to distract himself from the evil thing in the room. He was staying out of its way.
He finally looked up at Amaya whenever she started the stream of questions. This is going to be...fun. And tedious As if she would believe him if he told her the straight truth. Oh hey!! I'm a vampire. He decided it might be worth a try, Just for the giggles. "I'm a vampire. He said as seriously as he could, trying to stop laughter from escaping his mouth, because it just sounded so stupid put like that. "I Have a friend, Who's also a Vampire and works here." He couldn't stop smiling by this point. So, Funny... She was nervous, She had bound to be laughing by now "And, I came for my laptop. And a kiss."He grinned even more. Way to make fun of a serious issue, Way'da go Alex! This should breeze over pretty quickly.
