The night was young, the sun had just set when Gabriel awoke. Her room was dark, and her leopards were alseep by her side. She didn't need an alarm clock after nine-hundred years of waking up at the same time. Her red silk sheets slipped smoothly off her body as she rose, stirring Octavious, Nathaniel and Mary as little as possible. Her feet met the cold marble floor and she stood and streched. Her exposed skin was still warm from her bed as she went around lighting the candles to light up the room and bathroom. She was never quite fond of elctric lighting, there wasn't much of a point in ruining the feel of a fifteenth centry house. The only modifications that she made were to the windows, she had them installed with the highest technolical sunproofing there was, about every ten years. She wasn't about to give up her view simply because she couldn't handle the sun.
She pulled back the drapes and press a small button to open the steal plates that blocked out the sun while she slept. It was indeed a goreous night, the moon had yet to rise but the stars shone like silver in the enbony sky. She slipped on a green dress, designed like the ones she wore in the eleven hundreds, and made her way to the other side of the room. Her hands went automatically to the heavy iron locks that kept the world at bay. She opened her massive oak door to her room and walked into the hall way. The candles were already lit, thanks to her servants, and she could smell live elk in the dining room.
After her breakfast she called in her servants and asked what to wear. They knew better than her what fasion was these days. The youngest picked out an eco-friendly out fit, complete with organic purse for her to show off. Her reasoning was that everyone wanted to save the earth these days. Gabriel laughed and adorned her new style. Her closet was full of all kinds of clothing, everything from the early twelve hundereds to modern times.
She left her home at around half passed eight and arrived in london at about eight fifty. She parked her black Tesla roadster and fed the meter for the whole night. She began her evening exploring with a stop at a cafe, she caught the scent of an interesting human on her way, and followed it inside. She was seated at a window booth in the back. while she waited for her waitress she looked outside at all the happy people. They had no clue what could be lurking in those dark ally ways. And for that she envied them, the were so naieve, so alive. They could die at any moment, but they still smiled.
A small tap on the table woke her from her thoughts. The interesting smell that she had followed in here, now came wafting from the female that stood infront of her about to take her order.
"An Irish coffee please, black, no sugar."

ERRR ERRR ERRR ERRR Seven O’Clock AM… ERRR ERRR ERRR ERRR Seven O’Clock AM… The clock just kept going and going until Rose finally couldn’t take it anymore. She stuck her arm from out of her dome of blanket that covered her naked body from the world outside the comfort of her bed. Slowly and gradually, she hugged the blanket to her body and slid out of her warm bed. ’Another day, and another moment to shine. Let’s hope today it all works out for the better.’
She walked to the bathroom, letting the blanket slide of her skin and onto the floor, revealing the naturally smooth and seductive body of a twenty two year old mute. Rose took pride in her looks and never took them for granted. She pampered herself whenever she could, telling herself that she was beautiful when no one ever did and could the way she wanted them too. She took her hands and slowly felt down the gentle curves of her body, as she does every morning to tell herself that she was real and that she was beautiful. Content, she smiled and walked into the tub… soaking herself in a nice warm bubble bath. “ROSE! Snap out of Lala-Land and go check what table number five wants!”’Great… way to ruin a perfectly good moment of reminiscing George!’She growled a little bit under her breath, but smiled it off, did a salute, and was on her way to the table with an even bigger smile, pen in hand, and pad on her tray. Yup… a normal day in the life of a mute waitress. Classy… ’As if.’”An Irish Coffee please, black, no sugar.”The words came from a girl about her late teens. She had long thick chocolate hair that seemed to be in waves and had deep green eyes. Deep as in they could stare into you like none other. It was intriguing to stare at her. Something about her just yelled fascinating to Rose… so much so that it was dangerously attractive to Rose. She grabbed her note pad and wrote “Is there anything else I can get you sweetie?” It was so exotic to Rose. Not that she hasn’t had female customers before… but she seemed like a rare breed of one… She smiled at her whenever the customer looked at her, and hoped the customer could see the interest in her eyes for her. It was a little bold, but when you have no voice and wanted to show someone that you were interested, all you had were your eyes and your body language… which is what she was using right now to her advantage. Full eye contact and a seductive smile. She gave a confident posture with a hint of “Sexy” added to it (and one that complimented the uniform). Her hand grabbed the tray and rested on her hip, that stuck slightly out due to the shift of body weight. Her back was arched a little and it gave the message using the language of her body to tell her, “I’m free, I’m bisexual, I’m interested… Wanna Try?” [/blockquote] Count: Five Hundred and Eight Words (508) Lyrics: Natasha Bedingfield Credit: Mercer Notes: Sorry it took so long and it being so lame.

The note surprised her, the woman was mute. That was the tinge to the smell that made her so interesting. Gabe had been around mutes before, but this one seemed...different? No that wasn't the word...Adaptable. She liked that in people. when they could adapt to any situation, no matter what. Her hair was like gold, her eyes like the brown of the earth. The uniform she was wearing complemented her figure wonderfully and Gabe couldn't help but smile. She turned toward the woman to get a better look at her. The woman's body language screamed "I'm free, I'm bisexual, I'm interested... Wanna try?". Gabe was straight in the beginning, but as the years passed she stopped seeing the masculine and feminine, and started focusing on the soul inside. Now as the times began to except diffrent sexuality's more and more, she found it much easier to take a female lover.
The light in the cafe wasn't all that great, and the tables were of cheap wood guilted in even cheaper plastic. She hated how everything was made on production line without the touch of personality. This waitress on the other hand, was a masterpiece, one of Gods greatest creations. She was gorgeous, and so that she didn't get to full of her self, He made her mute, to know humility.
...Well, you are a vampire, and you have all the time in the world, why not give it a shot. what's the worst that can happen, a human actually refusing you?...
She looked the waitress straight in the eye, and turned on every bit of her supernatural seduction. She was lonely as of let, though she was hit on constantly, Gabe found most humans relentlessly boring. They cared nothing for the good things in life. On the contrary to the most, this one seemed as if she was intriguing and worth the time of day. Though this young human was attractive, she wished that she were older, for Gabe's soul was aged far more than her shell. It was effortless really, gaining the interest of mortals. It seemed as if they couldn't resist their predators, that they were drawn though the very things that had hunted them for thousands of years. Although simple it would be, she actually wanted to try with this one. To see if one would put a challenge to her uncanny abilities. "Actually there is one more thing, You want to have dinner tomorrow night?

The question took her a little by surprise. Dinner? Really? With her? Tomorrow? Really?! There was the shock… She then smiled as she repeated the question again in her head. "Actually there is one more thing, You want to have dinner tomorrow night?”
She put her pen to the pad and wrote her acceptance to the invitation. ”I would love to… and I apologize in advance for what I am about to do.” She flipped the other page and wrote the word “This” on the other paper. She ripped first page out of the notepad and gave it to her. She smiled and eagerly anticipated the “For what?” or “Huh?” or something. As soon as those words came, she would rip the second page, and kiss her cheek. It’s been forever and eternity with infinity attached to it since anyone even asked her on a date, so it is only natural that a twenty-one year old mute would act this way. After the interaction, she went to the back, and handmade the Irish Coffee for her. She even measured the whiskey and the coffee to an “Over Compulsive Disorder” level. It was creeping out the other employees. She wrote a message asking her “Can I join you? I’m on my break. ^_^ The name is Rose by the way.”Yeah, it was a little clingy, but she was going to cherish every moment she could. Live life to the fullest, and cherish every moment. It could be your last. He walked over to the customer in a sexy and smooth cat walk, hoping she would notice, or even care. ’Please notice. Please accept. Please notice. Please accept. Please notice. Please accept.’ She looked over to the customer, and she took a very close look. It was probably the face of the person that would and/or could make her the happiest she has been in a long time. Slowly, she bent down, handing her the coffee, keeping her eye on the customer’s eyes. Eyes on eyes, on the way down, and eyes on eyes on the way up. She did a little of everything to show her she was interested. She stood by the table in case she wanted something else. Maybe… she wanted Rose as much as Rose wanted her… ’Please notice. Please accept. Please notice. Please accept. Please notice. Please accept.’ That phrase echoed in her mind over and over. She was desperate. The worst that could happen though is a no. She wouldn’t be destroyed… a little disappointed, but that was a daily thing in her life. ’Please notice. Please accept. Please notice. Please accept. Please notice. Please accept.’ [/blockquote] Count: Four Hundred Twenty-Six (426) Lyrics: Natasha Bedingfield Credit: Mercer Notes: Not to be very picky or anything, but I have brown eyes. And it is okay. There was a look of shock on the young woman's face, but not of unhappy shock. It was more to the area of getting an unexpected present of which you had been wanting for a very long time. Gabriel couldn't help but smile at the mortal, her expressions were quite something. Living as long as she had, Gabriel had seen almost everything. So little surprised her anymore, though she did her best to act like it did. But this child, this beautiful creature that stood before her had managed to surprise her not once, but twice. She held up a not that was apologizing in advance for something, and then kissed her on the cheek. Her lips were so warm, almost like silk. She could hear her heart beat, strong and a bit fast. She drank in the scent and smiled...Lord knows how this is going to end up. But I pray I have enough control...
As the sultry young waitress walked away, Gabriel wondered as to what had made her accept. She was indeed a fine creature, but not to have a significant other by now? ...What wonder... When the side of the woman's apron disappeared into the back of the dinner, then only did Gabriel let her attentions wonder. The night was gorgeous with the stars shining above, even though the incandescent street lamps dulled their celestial beauty. She loved the night, it's wonder never seceded to amaze her. Little had changed about the sky over the last nine hundred years, and that's why she felt so attached to it. Like her, it never aged, it simply moved through time like water through a stream.
The smell of Irish coffee and the alluring female came wafting toward her and she turned to indulge herself in it's aroma. she was hold her coffee on a round black in the flat of her left hand. Her hips were swaying, extenuating her smooth curves. She really knew how to draw attention to her self. Almost every man in the place had his eyes on her, but a woman was the object of her affection. It was really quiet amusing to Gabriel, causing her to smile as she took the coffee, their hands touching ever so slightly. It wasn't the chill of Dani's skin, it was the warmth of a human touch. "I am Gabriel, Cadwallader." Her voice paused just before her last name. In the old days, she would have put the word "of" in between, for Cadwallader was a place. These days they are only names. She motioned with her hand for Rose to take a seat and took a sip of her coffee. Their eyes stayed locked as she sat, in hers she saw the determination to live. It was a truly exquisite. Smiling, she waited for the young mortal to speak.

Gabriel Cadwallader… It had a nice ring to it. It was different, yet it had that suave feel to it. Sort of like in the old days. It was interesting. Very interesting. And then she motioned for her to join her. She was so happy. She accepted! The thoughts running through her head covered a wide range of emotions, activities, and other stuff less than decent. She nodded, smiled, and sat down. She put her note pad and pencil on the table. She was excited and yet scared. This was a first for her. What to do? What to say? What to think? What in general?
"Oh god. Oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god. What do I do? What do I do?!"
The panic set in. She never done this before. She doesn't know what to do. Yes she read the books and heard the advice, but theory and application are two different things. "I'm sorry… I'm sort of new to this relationship thing… The truth is… This is sort of the most I've done with anyone… She turned the notepad to Gabriel, and was hoping that she wouldn't think her a freak. 'God, I'm an idiot.'This is a mistake. A big mistake. She can't be a lover. How can she? She can't speak. She was getting ready to get up and leave. How embarrassing. How degrading. She should stop while she is ahead. It was fine while it lasted, but it just wasn't meant to be. A sigh escape her lips, and she stood up. "I'm sorry…" [/blockquote] Count: Lyrics: Natasha Bedingfield Credit: Mercer Notes: It's short, it's poor, and it's depressing. I'm sorry.

Rose's sense of confidence seemed to fade and it was soon replaced by insecurity the second she sat down. Gabriel didn't want her to leave and wished to figure out what was bothering the young mortal. For nothing that she could have done in this short span could have set her off. It was an odd change, but not unheard of. It usually happened when she was thirsty, but she had feasted earlier that evening, and had the beast inside under complete control. she wrote a note to Gabriel that read "God, I'm an idiot." and yet another apology.
Rose was about to get up and leave when Gabriel figured out what had happened. She panicked, she didn't think she was enough for anyone, not without a voice. that much was clear, it was her body language that gave her away, and the tiny muscle movements in her face that screamed what she was feeling inside. The inferior emotion was one that Gabriel knew of but had never felt. She understood what was going on with Rose and decided to stop her from giving to herself. when Rose stood to take her leave, she did as well.
It had been a while since the occasion called for sign language. She hoped that in her long years of silence, rose had come to know the interesting way of communication for it was in that way, that Gabriel expressed her next statement. "Words aren't everything. It is what is behind them that truly matters. Do not let that of which is trivial in life, prevent you from embracing it's most beautiful side." She took Roses hand and kissed her. Her lips were warm and smooth like silk. She could feel the life within the young mortal, and she cherished it. It lasted for only a second and when they parted Gabriel signed again. "come with me, and I will show you things that words can not do justice to. I will take you places where the spoken has little meaning and earth is the only sound. Come with me and I will show you a world that few have every seen."
This was a rare invitation, one that no mortal had ever received. The sites that she spoke of often took her word away with their simply and yet majestic splendor. The way the moon shone reflected in the waters and lit up the earth around it, words simply could not express. These were places that Gabriel considered nearly sacred and she was going to take this moral there if she were to accept.

She was a little shocked. Sign Language? She knows Sign Language?! What other surprises does she have in stor… And then her mind was blank… It was perfect… It was amazing… It was everything she could have asked for and more… and it was only a moment… "Come with me, and I will show you things that words can not do justice to. I will take you places where the spoken has little meaning and earth is the only sound. Come with me and I will show you a world that few have every seen."At that moment, she could have asked her to do anything and get yes for anything. This woman… She surprised Rose… and Rose wanted this to work… to last… Rose felt whole… She felt happy… She felt complete in a strange way. She only just met Gabriel, but for some one reason or another, she felt like she could live with her for eternity if she could. She signed to Gabriel to wait. She had to change and clock out. That Gabriel can sit down and finish the drink she ordered. She took her leave, as painful as it was to leave that moment, to the back. ’What to wear?!’ Rose always had a couple of choices in her locker. Right now, she had a nice white skirt and a black tank top and a matching white jacket, or she could go with the jeans and matching jacket and a black shirt… She decided to where the first outfit. Quickly, she took off her work outfit. She had to make it fast, but at the same time, she wanted to make a good impression. She used and deodorant, and quickly changed. Once all was finished, she turned and looked at herself in the mirror… There she was… a mute wearing white. Her blondish-brown hair curled around her, and her lips matched her name… She smiled at herself… She was happy… She walked to her locker, pulled out the bottle of Calvin Klein’s bottle of IN2U for women, took a couple of sprays and walked out. ’Here is to a day out of my mind.’

A sweet smile tugged at the corners of her lips as the look of awe came upon Roses face at the fact that she knew sign language. There was little that Gabriel didn’t know, all the years that she had been living, and all the money that she had accumulated over the centuries had made it ease for her to absorb every bit of information around her. It was completely wonderful that Rose had changed her mind about being with her., that she would come as close as earth to heaven with her tonight. They had to hurry, she only had eight hours left of moon light, and as much as Gabriel would love to watch the sun rise, she couldn’t without being incinerated within a few moments. Rose went into the back to change and clock out and she sat down to drink the rest of her coffee. The people around her gave her odd looks, but she really couldn’t careless. She took solace in the fact that she could kill them all so incredibly quick that the last on would still be processing the fact that the red stuff that spilled across the floor was his own. This of course would never happen, she didn’t feed off of humans, it wasn’t who she was. She took great lengths to prevent such an incident from happening.
The warmth of the black Irish coffee filled her insides, wakening to everything that had yet to be discovered. She had never taken a mortal, let a lone a female, as a lover. This was going to be an experience. And Rose seemed different, and she loved it. Her mind was going over where she would take her first, the grotto on her land? The little known about ruins on the ocean? So many places to go and so little time this night. If this worked out, she could take her all the places, she could show her the things that made Gabriel’s life worth living. Maybe one day she could tell Rose the truth about herself, and show her the ruins of the castle her family had back in Wales. Maybe this mortal would understand her like none had since Octavius. All the maybe’s in the universe couldn’t cover all the chances and opportunities that lay before them.
Roses scent flowed back into the room and she re-entered. She was beautiful, the outfit she was wearing was as well. It wasn’t expencive nor flashy, and it fit her personality perfectly. Simple yet elegant…Lord have mercy, such a great creation you have placed before me... She stood, placing a fifty on the table to cover her tab, and signed; “You look stunning, are you ready to see the world?”

She was scared, and she knew it. Her heart was pounding so hard, she was surprised people didn’t turn to look at her due to all that noise. They did however start to look at her as she passed into their line of sight. Some gawked while others just looked in envy. Their eyes one by one started to shift towards her general direction. It was a bit nerve racking because she didn’t intend to turn so many heads… it was her intention to turn one… Hers… She walked toward Gabriel, and she instantly knew she did what she set out to do… surprise Gabriel. A smile started to form on her face as she saw the smile on Gabriel’s face, and it grew into a small giggle when she saw her pull a fifty and put it on the table. It wasn’t the fact she drew the money. It was more the fact that she couldn’t stop looking at her as she did it. “You look stunning, are you ready to see the world?”The sign language was so appreciated. She wasn’t deaf, but it made her feel connected to Gabriel because of it. Only they could understand, and it was magnificent. ”Thank you, and yes, I am ready.” She bit her bottom lip and was nervous to say something, but decided it was no or never, so, ”Thank you so much for doing this. It means a lot to me, and I hope that one day I can repay you for everything. The sign language, the trip, the compliments… It’s really all so wonderful. Thank you.”He took a step toward her, and gave her a hug. She wanted to burst into tears, or even shed one tear, but she wanted also to show Gabriel that she was more than a broken doll… ”Shall we?”
