If there was one thing Ali hated, it was fights. And she could smell this fight coming a mile away. Nix had been hot tempered before she was a vampire and newborns were not known for their very good control on tempers. So Nix had a double punch coming her way. Anything could set her off. Ali knew better then most what could set someone off and Nix was her best friend so she knew what would make her angry. She had never expected in a million years the harsh words from Rose to come out of her mouth. Those cold, harsh eyes. She had never would of thought this would happen.
When Nix slapped Rose across the face she blinked and took another step back. But she could understand what was going on. Nix was angry. How could Rose think she would choose this? That thought had never even crossed her mind when Ali saw her. She had known right away that she hadnt chose this. Nix would never choose this. She had loved being a wolf and she had loved her wolf friends and pack so dearly. There was no way in hell this would have been a choice she chose gladly. Or willingly. Sevanni was in on this. How could Rose not smell the scent of Sevanni on her? The smell running through her blood?
But she stayed silent and just listened to Nix rant away at Rose. She didnt want to speak up. She knew Nix needed to get it out and would need a moment. She had always been like that. But Ali held Vics hand tightly, and hid somewhat behind him. She didnt want to be apart of this. When Nix was done she watched her storm off and out to the balcony. Her natural first instinct was to go after her. But she didnt. She just stayed where she was and watched Nix with worried eyes, her grip on Vics hand getting slightly tighter. She worried about people far to much. Even Rose who was being rude.
Her gaze went back to Rose though when she started to apologize. "Its all right Rose. But I think you owe Nix an apology." She told her softly, and gazed back towards the balcony. However, a change of tone made her eyes snap back to Rose. Was that actual happiness in that tone? She didnt understand how it could go a total 360 turn. But she glanced over to where Rose was asking about a man. He seemed vaguely familiar and she tilted her head and breathed in his scent. Honey smell mixed with a bit of after linger of Italian food. Italian food..honey...where had she smelt that before.
Then her eyes widened as she realized who it had to be. She let go of Vics hand and went over to the man and checked for the color of his eyes. When she noticed they were a sapphire blue, she beamed and then exclaimed, "Derek!" She knew this man. He lived in London. Thats where she had met him in fact. She used to work at his restaurant when she did waitressing for a living. He knew her when she was a bit younger. More like seventeen and eighteen, but hopefully he would remember her.
Which it seemed like he did. He smiled at her and held his glass up. "Ali. What a pleasant surprise." She grinned at him again and then took his hand and dragged him back to the group where Rose and Vic were. She smiled and then chuckled. "Rose, Vic, this is Derek. He owns an Italian restaurant chain. I used to work for him." She then pointed to Vic first. "Thats Victor. My husband. And this..Is Rose Decumbry." She nodded toward Rose and gave her a little wink. Even if she was a little mad at Rose she didnt want her friend to be hurt. She figured something bad had happened with Tyson and it was obvious she had already taken a liking to Derek.
Derek was a good man and thats why she felt no remorse on sicking them together. She let go of Dereks hand and went back over to Vics side, glancing back at the balcony where Nix was. Hopefully she would come back soon.

What had she done? She should have just left when she had the chance. Instead of revealing in hate. "How fucking dare you? You have no idea of what I've been through these last few months. And for what? To protect YOU! You and the rest of my friends! I was pregnant, did you know that? Just a few DAYS ago I had to give up my daughter to Kat and go back to Sevanni, since I'd been living with him as his 'guest' to keep everyone safe. Not only did he beat me, once again, with that FUCKING whip, but then he drugged me, turned me human against my will, and then turned me into THIS! And yet here you come, looking at me like I'm beneath you, like I fucking chose this? I thought you knew me better than that. So you know what Rose? FUCK YOU! The slap she had deserved, the words too. Lowered eyes in shame, was what she answered with. Eyes though followed her when she left to the balcony. She knew what she had to do. Apologize. What was she? A monster, yes. "It’s all right Rose. But I think you owe Nix an apology." Rose nodded, “Excuse me.” And she set off in the direction Phoenix had.
She saw Phoenix, smelling her fully now. Her nose was her best scent, and she had missed out on it. “Phoenix..I know the last person you probably want to talk to is me…” She quickly undid her mask, and held it in her hand. “I deserved what you said to me...and when you slapped me...but I’m not angry...” She took a cautious step towards her, knowing that when dealing with a newborn, you needed to be careful, in case you got your hand bit off. “If you want to slap me again...you can slap me in the face...not the mask.” She looked down. “If you just told me…if you told me what he did to you earlier…I wouldn’t have said anything…I’m sorry what he did to you. I don’t think you’re beneath me...how could I? Your one of my best friends...” She moved closer, gently placing a small hand on her shoulder. Not such a bright idea, probably. “I just...I didn’t want to see this happen to you...and when I saw you in there...something in me snapped…and I felt..alone.” Her face was written in sorrow, despair, anger with herself. “I can see it wasn’t your choice…I never wanted you to go back to him..I don’t know what having a child is like...but giving one up...it must’ve been hard. And I was oblivious to everything. Masked...” She peered down at her own mask. “Masked by my own problems...not caring...” Her cool was quickly slipping. “Because my life right now isn’t so much better now either.” She turned to face Phoenix now, seeing red tints in her eyes. “I don’t want you to end up like me...as a vampire with no control...no conscious…I don’t want you to become me...act like me..I’m a horrible friend, and you’ve done so much for me...what have I done for you? Nothing...” She wasn’t playing pity on her part; she was just saying what was on her mind.
“I love you Phoenix. Even as a werewolf...or a vampire...I’ll love you.” She searched her eyes, trying to find something. “You might love me right now...or ever again...but I will.” She looked down at her mask again. “I’m sorry.” She leaned up, and gently kissed Phoenix on the head, slipping her mask back on, only her eyes seen now. “I mean it. I know my words hurt you...” Her British accent was traced with regret now. “I’m a bitch Phoenix. I don’t think before I say anything. But...if you need anything...anything at all...you know where to reach me.” She ran a hand over Phoenix’s face, the cold matching her own. She didn’t want to hug Phoenix, guessing she wouldn’t want a hug, especially from her. Looking down once more, glancing up again, she went back to the ballroom. A part of her wanted for Phoenix to hug her, and another part of her, was that she wanted to hug her. She walked slowly back to where Ali, Victor, and the man from before were now standing. Confidence was the key now. Obviously, Ali knew the man. What a coincidence. A fairly odd one too. She batted her eyes, and self concisely ran a hand through perfected hair. Those stunning sapphire blue eyes struck her once more. What a hold he had. "Rose, Vic, this is Derek. He owns an Italian restaurant chain. I used to work for him."
Rose blinked. She kept forgetting that Ali hadn’t chosen to take her share of the fortune that Rose had inherited. That both she and Kat were entitled too. That’s Victor. My husband. And this...Is Rose Decumbry." Rose looked beneath the mask bashfully. She curtsied somewhat, something she was taught to do when she was younger. “How do you do, Derek?” She looked back to Ali, eyes gleaming. A good distraction indeed. “As you know..I’m Rose...and it seems you know my little cousin Ali.” She returned the wink to Ali.

He couldn't help but overhear his little one build with outing confrontation. A scene. He was dreary on that, not liking that she had roared out and not only that, but she had laid hands to another while at the function. His right hand moved over the center of Darien's back, leaning in to speak in his ear. "Why don't you have a bit of fun hmmm?" Rising back up and looking toward the couple as Nix had wandered outside.
"If you two will excuse me.....Shaden, we can always catch up later.....perhaps you'd like to share a drink again." A coy smirk written over lips as he held eye contact with Helena, a nod was given to Darien before he venture out through the party.
West had been there, and of course accompanied by Jeffries. Two imbociles that had catered to the family in Sweden, and as nods were given Sevanni made no point to head their way and make conversation.
He was oblivious to Aubrey and her tweetle dee and tweetle dumbs, all he could think about was how she had reacted in front of people, and knowing that letting her come to this thing was a bad idea.
Sevanni passed the two men standing at the door in their servant suits, not even making eye contact but stood there like Nutcracker guards.
He did however get a gander of those inside who he had not expected to show up. Some new faces in the crowd that he really didn't care to meet, others he had wanted to be better aquainted with.
"Just what the hell do you think you are doing?" He let out in an adult like tone, soft so it wasn't loud, loud so it wasn't too soft. "Raising your voice....making a scene, and not to mention laying a hand on another vampire while here." He shook his head as he approached her, wondering about all the thoughts than ran through her head. If she enjoyed the glass in her hand filled with dark red liquid.
"You can't do that in a place like this....afterwards sure, but not during....." He let out a sigh, disappointed in her actions, and finally letting himself simmer down before he had heightened his anger. "I can not watch you twenty-four seven, which means I have to know I can trust you to behave." Spoken like someone who had actually changed her. A maker, or so they called it. Not someone who had been at war with the girl for ages. It felt natural to him, even as if felt so different.
He let eyes roam away from her, looking out over the garden and it's lit pathways. The furthest away darker in the shadows then they were up close, and he even attempted to keep his focus away from those he didn't wish to speak to. It took time, he knew that. Knew that she had major adjusting to do, even with her familiarity with vampires, she had never been one.

She heard Rose come up behind her, knowing that it was her without even having to look, or to smell her scent. If she knew Rose at all, she would want to make things right with Phoenix... Or she wanted pay back for her slapping her earlier. Not that she had really slapped her, just the mask, though it was surprising that the beautiful mask Rose wore hadn't broke with the force she had put behind her slap... Must have been one hell of a mask. She held her body perfectly still, listening to Rose's apology.
If you want to slap me again...you can slap me in the face...not the mask. If you just told me…if you told me what he did to you earlier…I wouldn’t have said anything… Phoenix snorted, taking a slow drink of the crimson liquid in her glass. "Kind'a hard to do that, isn't it, when you throw out insults as soon as you walk up to someone." She refused to turn around, refused to look at Rose. Yes, before the night was over, Phoenix would accept her friend's apology... Possibly even make one of her own for her own bitchy behavior at this moment... But not right now. She didn't do well with her feelings getting hurt, and Rose had stomped all over them... And her feelings were not exactly the easiest place to bruise... But her pride was, and at this moment, she was still filled with too much anger and hurt to apologize at this moment.
After a few more words, Rose turned around and left. As soon as her beautiful blond friend was gone, regret swept through Phoenix at her actions... Not for the smack, for that she wasn't in the least bit sorry. Rose had deserved that and much more. No. She was sorry that she had just stood there while her friend was apologizing to her, acting just as much a bitch as Rose had. She couldn't help it though... Rose, at one time her enemy, and then one of her dearest friends, had cut her deep with her harshness... Ali had known this hadn't been her choice... How could Rose have failed to miss that? Did she really think so little of her? After everything they had been through? She felt something sliding down her face. Shocked, she reached up to see what it was, patting her cheek with her finger tips. When she pulled them back, shock registered to her as she realized that she was crying... Only, not normal, salty tears... But crimson tears of... blood? She tilted her head to one side slightly, laying her glass on the balcony, studying her fingers. So, when a vampire cried... They cried blood? Made sense, she supposed. Vampire's bodies don't function like a humans... They don't have bodily fluids, other than the blood they ingested... So it would make sense that, should they feel the need to cry, that they would cry the only liquid they had in their body... Blood.
Just what the hell do you think you are doing? She jumped slightly at that voice, quickly running her palms over her face, wiping away the bloody tears, not wanting him to know that she had actually been crying over the hurt she felt. Raising your voice....making a scene, and not to mention laying a hand on another vampire while here. Nix didn't turn to face him, simply stared out over the gardens, her hands gripping the banister tightly. "It was Rose. It's not like there was going to be a fight break out. She fucking deserved a slap across the face, at the very least."
She listened to him talk about how she couldn't do things like that during these events, but the last thing he said shocked her, causing her to look at him for the first time since they had arrived at the Ball, her moss green eyes curious. I can not watch you twenty-four seven, which means I have to know I can trust you to behave. She had been expecting something else from Sevanni, something completely different... Threats, hostility, anger... Not disappointment, and him speaking to her like a mentor to their pupil who had done something wrong.
She sighed, running her fingers through her long blond hair, which she had left down for the ball, only putting loose curls to her normally straight, thick hair. "I'm sorry... I lost my temper back there, and I couldn't help it. Rose just said something that hurt a hell of a lot worse than my smack hurt her, believe me." She picked up her drink from the banister, swallowing the last of the blood, lids closing over moss green orbs, savoring the flavor. She had realized the night that she had woken up a vampire that she would never be able to feed from animals, but rather humans... And she wasn't strong willed enough to feed from one of the human donors without killing them... So, she would suffice with drinking the sweet liquid from a glass, since it would be impossible to go hunting a male human who was up to no good at this time of night... Just because she had to be a vampire, didn't mean she didn't have morals. She would be damned if she would touch a female or a child, ever.
"Enjoying yourself?" She asked, trying to have a decent conversation with Sevanni. After all, she had to live with the fact that he was her maker for the rest of her seemingly immortal life... Might as well get used to it. Another thing that she hadn't expected to experience, was the bond between a Maker and their fledgling... She had heard stories before, but never really paid much attention. That bond was stronger if the two had some sort of relationship prier to the turning, no matter the circumstances of the relationship... And the two of them most definitely had a history... So, even as much as she hated him for doing this to her, along with everything else that he'd done to her while she was a werewolf, she was beginning to respect him, at the very least.

"It was Rose. It's not like there was going to be a fight break out. She fucking deserved a slap across the face, at the very least." A little smirk appeared, though he was still disappointed, he knew that she had to retort some way or another, not that it bothered him that she defended herself, but her actions were still unwanted.
"I'm sorry... I lost my temper back there, and I couldn't help it. Rose just said something that hurt a hell of a lot worse than my smack hurt her, believe me." Then she motioned for her glass, finishing it off and fixing her hair the way she always fidgeted with it. It was a cute thing, but it was done so often and so random that it was hard to know what she was thinking while doing so.
Sometimes he just wanted to slide his finger over the edges of those locks and feel the skin of her shoulder, alas, he had always opted out. In a way, he sort of respected her a little bit more now than ever. "It's alright.....just try not to act out like that again....certain things are frowned upon at these things." People watching, higher ups keeping tabs on who's who and who does what. If Nixie had come from him, it was he who had to do the answering.
"Enjoying yourself?" A sigh lifted once more, he didn't even want to get into that part. "Not hardly." He turned, his back against one of the columns as eyes subtly moved over to people inside, he could see Darien through the glass. His head turned toward her, she did look beautiful that night, and he did recognize it in his own thoughts.
One could be quite charming when they were immortal. "It's all a show....people come to these things for appearance......show everyone they are there......but of course it's resonable to understand it....a network of socialization could be made from such things......" Which was what he had conformed to when he had become an elder, before he took coven ranks, and after his own turning.
"Would you like to go through the garden? Or shall I leave you to it?" A nice little gesture, at least it was out of the throng of people, they could talk a bit and the two could see new sides to one another. After all, things were changing. They were changing. Or, they could go their separate ways and not see one another til the end of the party, her choice, but he had given her the option.
It was going to be hard, but one way or another she would understand why he was who he was, and why he did the things he did. Most of those who knew Sevanni for more than just a monster knew who he was deep down inside, and it wasn't as ruthless as many would believe.

And there she went. Slap! He was shocked, but he didn’t blame Nixie. If it was anything, Nixie loved the wolf side of her more than life itself. She was born a wolf, and it was who she was. Her freedom, her love of running and the feeling of the wind on her fur was everything that defined Nixie. She was and forever will be a wolf, even if now she couldn’t become one anymore. But what surprised him even more than that was what she said after that… She was pregnant? A baby? And she gave that baby to Kat? Nixie was going to be a mother, and Sevanni took that away from her. Was there nothing that man would do for his own desires? He didn’t hate Sevanni at all, because he could see Sevanni as a business man, but at that current moment, there was no one he wanted dead more than Sevanni Black. Unfortunately, his contract stated that Sevanni couldn’t touch them and VICE VERSA. They couldn’t touch them. Damn it! Nixie ran away towards the Balcony and he was ready to chase her, but thought better of it. He knew that even if he did go and talk to her, she wasn’t going to tell him anything. That, and he saw Sevanni head towards her and head for the balcony himself. He didn’t want to risk getting both Nixie and Ali in trouble. He sighed and just wanted to take an aspirin for the headache he had. But sadly, that wouldn’t help him, even if he did overdose on them. The headache would persist. Ali’s hand left his, and his mind left his thoughts to see what was going on. And there he had it, the man in black. "Derek!"[/i] "Ali. What a pleasant surprise." "Rose, Vic, this is Derek. He owns an Italian restaurant chain. I used to work for him. That’s Victor. My husband. And this..Is Rose Decumbry." He caught the wink between Ali to Rose and figured out what was going on. He also noticed Roses mood elevate as she caught glimpse of Derek. Ali probably caught that as well and is probably doing this because of that slight fact. Coincidentally, the man in black was a friend and ex-boss of his wife. Oh joy, oh joy.
He needed some fresh air… or something to drink.
“How do you do Derek?” He extended a hand as one gentleman to another. “Excuse me a moment, I could use a drink. I’ll be back with some for the rest of you.”

It's alright.....just try not to act out like that again....certain things are frowned upon at these things. Phoenix nodded, understanding what he was talking about, whether he realized it or not. She was technically his responsibility, and if she acted out, Sevanni would be the one to have to answer to the higher ups... Like a parent forced to explain their child's bad behavior to a business owner. Not the most comfortable of situations. So, she would try to be on her best behavior, aside from her small outburst back in the ballroom. If not to make sure Sevanni didn't get into any trouble, then to save her own skin. She had no doubt that if she acted out again, Sevanni would have a few things to say to her once they got home, and none of them would be pleasant.
Not hardly... She couldn't help but smile at his response, white teeth flashing in the dim light of the ballroom that shone out on them. "I suppose this whole thing was a bad idea. I had thought it would be fun, that I would get to finally see Ali and Rose... Ali took the news of all of this rather well... Rose, not so much."
It's all a show....people come to these things for appearance......show everyone they are there......but of course it's reasonable to understand it....a network of socialization could be made from such things...... She bit the inside of her lip gently, tilting her head to one side. "So... These parties are generally used to make connections to other vampires?" She asked, trying to understand. She was part of this world now, so she needed to understand it.
Would you like to go through the garden? Or shall I leave you to it? Wow. He had actually given her a choice in the matter... Well, then again, he didn't view her as a mutt anymore, so she supposed that had raised her slightly on his respect meter... Though she doubted by much. She nodded, blond hair falling over her shoulders, framing her pale face, glowing under the pale light of the night moon and the lights from inside the ballroom. "Sure." She said, walking down the stairs to the gardens.
"I know you didn't want to come to this... It shocked me, actually, that you decided to come along. Of course, I would have come with or without you." She said, flashing him a cheeky grin before continuing. "But why did you come? You had to have known there was going to be people here who you didn't like... Aubrey, mainly." It actually shocked her to find out that she had more disdain for Aubrey than she did Sevanni. If she ever turned out like her, she would go straight to Kat and demand that she kill her immediately. Phoenix didn't want to grow to be as despised and pure out bitchy as Aubrey Mayor was. True, Phoenix didn't know her story or what made her the way that she was, but that was no excuse.

"So... These parties are generally used to make connections to other vampires?" A nod of his head. "Generally that is the idea. For instance, you have decided to come because your friends were here.....but did you ever consider the fact that they loved you as a friend because you were a wolf? Now they see you as a vampire, and because you were pushed into it, they will have disdain for me, hence they will try to get others to take me out. So they are networking information in order to plot against me."
That was one example, but there was so much more. "For instance, I have allowed Darien to attend because Darien is trying to slowly work his way back into my high graces of him once more, and this shows him that I am slowly trusting him alone in there to act as i expect him to....Not only will it be good for him to get aquainted with those in my network and life, but he will gain a better understanding of why I am on such high guard around them. They will know you......but they will never service in your efforts because you never showed up.....In a sense it's dreary and difficult, but it will work in your favor as long as you choose the right team."
Maybe it didn't and did make sense to her, he had a funny way of explaining things. If his body could see himself now without his party face on, oh the torment he would endure within. Moments later she had agreed to his offer of a walk through the gardens, one place Sevanni loved to be in was his own back home, as was before, but this place was so new, and he couldn't resist it. When he was a mortal and married to his first true love, he had worked with her in the garden. A soothing method that she had introduced him to, and it kept him calm for years.
"I know you didn't want to come to this... It shocked me, actually, that you decided to come along. Of course, I would have come with or without you." A smirk to her words. She was so defiant, and what if she had gone without his permission? Would she think it were worth it when she got home? He thought she would, but when you don't think ahead to the consequences, all you had was a good night and pain afterward. "But why did you come? You had to have known there was going to be people here who you didn't like... Aubrey, mainly." It would be her to mention her name. She was there at the ball, so why not just mention her like Bloody Mary?
He hadn't seen Aubrey since the mirage at the mountain top, and they never saw one another when Sevanni made his visits with Mallie. His heart did swell, but the new side of him after his extraction had made all of that go away. His eyes left her pleasant features and turned to look ahead of him. Hands moving into his pockets, wishing he could take off the damn mask. He didn't lie. He just couldn't do it, and this one wasn't one he could work around.
"I always make sure I keep my little ones happy....you are no exception....regardless of who you are and how you were made....." A little chortle was given out just then. "Or how we felt or feel about one another." Then he looked toward her, wondering about how she would react to those words. He could be quite nice when you weren't on his death list.

This night was not turning into the night she was expecting. When ever she had come to one of these dances she never had a date. And she didnt have to worry about fights and she just normally talked and hung out with people. She could still remember the first time she met Tarus. He had been a gentlemen and she had danced with him briefly. He had become a friend instantly. And thats just how she was. She made friends easily. Where ever she went. And normally seeing them made her happy and nothing bad ever happened. But this ball was a disaster.
She watched Rose leave to talk to Nix and she nodded in approval. It was a good thing for her to do. She knew that Nix would probably still be angry and not come back for a while and so she faced out towards the dance floor. She sighed and closed her eyes, trying to take a deep breath. Then she opened her eyes back up when Rose returned. Fast forward a bit and the introductions for Rose and Derek were made. She noticed something was wrong with Vic though and she was going to ask him what was wrong but then noticed Rose's wink.
Her smile was soft, and since Derek wasnt facing her she nodded her head and then looked back to Vic. She loved Rose and all but when it came down to it she worried about her husband more then anyone else. She loved him more then her own life. And so of course when something was wrong with him she wanted to know. He said hello to Derek though and then seemed to make a snap choice. He told them how he was going to get a drink and she could see the look in his eyes. They seemed angry. He needed some space.
In a way, she blamed herself for this. She had been the one to make him come. He hadnt wanted to come, but she had insisted and what ever she wanted he normally let her have if there was no danger to her. She watched Vic walk off towards the drinks and then looked back towards Rose and Derek. She didnt want to interfere with them. They seemed pleased to talk with each other. And if they did end up together, they would make a cute couple. Plus, Rose preferred London. She knew that. Things would work.
But she lifted her skirts in her hands and smiled softly, to hide her feelings. "Ill be back. When Vic returns, tell him so okay?" She then left the little group and went back towards the front entrance, letting the smile fade away from her lips. When she was outside, she walked all the way to the street and then not caring sat down on the side walk, slipping the heels away from her feet. Some cars zipped by her and she just watched them. But she was a little uncomfortable so she pulled the mask off and then laid back, her hair fanning out behind her and looked up at the sky.
Was there a heaven up there? And if there was, were her parents looking down at her? Were all the people she had killed and all her friends that had died looking down and glaring their hate at her? Were they the ones spurring the fates on to screw up her life to where it was wonderful and then all fell apart? Ali herself had a strange view on things. In a way she didnt believe in Heaven. Not for a vampire at least. How could someone that killed people go to Heaven?
It wasnt only that though. Her parents had taught her something a little different. Her family was Paris naturally, both parents being French, but they also had a little Greek in them. And the Greeks had believed in the fates and the gods and goddesses. Her parents had taught her this. And she had always stuck by it. Kat on the other hand..didnt buy any of it. It was very possible that Kat didnt believe in anything. But Ali had stuck by that lesson.
Closing her eyes she began to hum. She loved singing and humming. Her hands were on her stomach and her voice was soft, barely above the noise of the streets.
"La lune trop bleme pose un diademe sur test cheveux roux La lune trop rousse de gloire eclabousse ton jupon plein d'trous La lune trop pale caresse l'opale de tes yeux blases Princesse de la rue soit la bienvenue dans mon coeur brise
Les escaliers de la butte sont durs aux misereaux Les ailes du moulin protegent les amoureaux."

He noticed movement from the corner of his eye and looked towards it. It was Ali… and she was leaving? What happened? Is she okay? He grabbed the others drinks, and gave one to Rose and Derek and excused before they could say anything. He told them he was getting Ali and himself a drink. He did do so, but then he followed her. He was worried of course. He watched her sit on the sidewalk taking off her shoes and lay on the ground like that, her hair fanning on the ground and her voice in the soft air, barely audible with all the noise in the air, but he heard it… "La lune trop bleme pose un diademe sur test cheveux roux La lune trop rousse de gloire eclabousse ton jupon plein d'trous La lune trop pale caresse l'opale de tes yeux blases Princesse de la rue soit la bienvenue dans mon coeur brise
Les escaliers de la butte sont durs aux misereaux Les ailes du moulin protegent les amoureaux." [/color][/blockquote] It was beautiful, but at the same time, he sensed some sort of sadness in her voice. He sighed and walked so he was next to her. “Mind if I join you?” He sat down next to her, and then took off his coat, undid his tie, took his mask off, and laid next to her. “You know… as a little kid, I would always star gaze on my roof. It was a beautiful scene. Just sitting there with nothing but a guitar and the stars, them being your inspiration and guide.” He closed his eyes, and let the lyrics flow out of him. ”You are the stars in my sky Lighting the darkness of the night. You are my gravity in my world Holding me down when I need you the most. And you are the beat in my life, Giving me the rhythm to both my music and heart.
I need you, You are my reason for waking up My passion for living life And my hope for a better tomorrow.” He opened his eyes, standing himself up, holding his hand out to her so he could pick her up for a dance. ”Your voice guides me in troubled times. Your eyes show me things I can only dream of. Every day, I pray for a moment in your grace Your smile Your eternal beauty” When she took his hand, he slowly pulled her on her feet, twirling her slightly. As she followed, grass flew off the dress as it followed the body. Victor couldn’t help but smile as he danced. He pulled her into the stance, and started to dance… ”I need you, You are my reason for waking up My passion for living life And my hope for a better tomorrow.” He took a step back from the dance and took a small bow. He smiled at her. “It’s still a work in progress, but I hope you love it.”

“Good evening Aubrey,” Drowning pouts blessed mouths, invisible to others but thoughts had passed through troublesome minds in the disappointment of another ruined moment and idea. The blond previously noticed had approached and Kane had let his chest rise and fall with unheard irritation. “You look breathtaking as always...” Two matching smiles of satisfaction brushed over the boys lips.
"She's always breathtaking you silly girl." Two matching thoughts come out at the same time, causing smiles to want to break out in chuckles. “So how have you been?” Abel had looked away, watching the scene unfold over by the door. He would have to look at that face of sorrow the coming weekend for their little sister had to see her father. How awful that was everytime they had to associate with the man, but it was always for the better reason to not have to let Aubrey interact with him. So the boys opted to do so for her without fuss.
Of course it wasn't a bad thing to get a gander at his girls. Nite and Dae were incredibly delicious looking, but no better than their Mistress of course. They always did know how to poke and prod their buttons, but the boys gave it back ten fold.
"I think I need air, it's become rather...crowded." Kane and Abel turned eyes toward the blond, being dismissed with the greulling affirmations of Miss. Mayor. Words still embarking their journey toward Rose's ears before Aubrey had finally stopped at the double doors and turned to the brothers. "Boys...why don't you bring us someone to play with." Sinister little grins purged mouths as eyes peered over troublesome golden hues. Her warm eyes giving the icy chill through spines that had enticed Abel to grow rather frigid due to the blond's meddling.
One day he was going to break out of those clothes of his and just refuse to leave until he could have his way with her. Kane shook his head and mentally slapped Abel for his thoughts.
"Our pleasure." Both tones matching as they spoke at the same time, following her gaze earlier had led their feet to match and move toward the little slave boy they had read so much about. A pathetic little wretch who did nothing but pine over his ruddy Sevanni and do things for him as if he were a God.
Abel didn't want to leave her side, Kane had to urge him away and tend to their duty. If Darien had been what Aubrey wanted, then Darien it was she would get. Unfortunately for him that didn't include a stay in their coven house. An unwanted tool that was best used for a toy to torture and hold in their limited discretion. Oh if only she could let them have fun with Darien. One day they would deliver his head to Sevanni in a nice little pink box and a yellow bow on top that reads Happy Birthday Shithead. Oh to see that look on his putrid aged face.
The two walked up to him as if they were on a mission, trying to keep the threatening intensity down as much as possible.
"Miss. Mayor would like a word." "Best not to keep her waiting."
Ignoring the two that stood nearby, Shaden of course, that was his name. They had read about him as much as they could, but there was nothing of satisfaction there to behold. His woman however could prove useful. Abel would have loved to destroy that mouth of hers with his funstick. Maybe break a hole in the back of her throat.
The both of them grinned after Kane finally turned his head toward her after hearing his brothers thoughts, smirks rueful as a gesture was made to Darien.
Even now as Sevanni had been outside, it wouldn't matter, already he was moving off the balcony with his new flavor of the month, away from their Mistress, which was definitely good for the goose and it's gander.
Kane and Abel would lead him to her, he would have no choice in the matter unless they had been rejected, and in that case, they would see to it that the party was ruined a lot sooner than later.

and i've been dying to get out,but that might be the death of me The glee of seeing the invitation reach her was nothing compared to the fun of picking an outfit. Resting inside an upper New York City apartment, the first order of business was to make sure she had proper attire, and gladly she was able to accommodate herself. Never having been one to really let herself go and do something cheap, she lives by the motto of go big, or go home. So, the go big way it is.
Since the day the invitation arrived, waiting and contacting a few people known that might be willing to accompany her were reached, but sadly none were willing, or were taken. Inside herself, turmoil builds up knowing the event is almost here and she has not found anyone, remembering the conflict of fifty years ago when she freed her human slaves into the real world again. So now, she will have to force herself to mingle along with the rest of the crowd, looking forward to the morsels they shall offer willing to take a bite. These 'fang bangers' as the term has been applied by the few who know, are waiting for her and by god, she plans to take it tonight. The queen is out, Isis is flowing in full force and commandeering the one human she has entrusted to assist her, a young girl from a descendant of a former friend that she couldn't bear to part with. the young girl has actually followed her for the few yrs past, unable to depart from the woman who her mother entrusted so well before her untimely death. Having given this young girl a home here, Isabella asks her to help with assembling herself, slowly slipping on the dress and having the back set so she is in snug.
W ith the dress on, the final part to help complete her attire is the jewelry attachment for her neck. Made of fine rubies, diamonds, and other precious stones, the acquisiton of such a fine piece was complicated, but well worth it on this occasion. having her gown ready, she looks to the young girl who is aging day by day and has refused on numerous occasions to join the immortals, sending her off free for the night. With her gown on, the high heels come next and they are easy for her to slip into. Centuries of walking on these make it seem like second nature, unlike the clumsiness of current day women. Waiting to see these younger vampires and how they perform shall be enticing. Even more exhilarating will be trying to decipher some of them, the friends she has, the acquaintances, and see what is to come of the night, expecting something great hopefully.
Finally ready to go, Isabella motions to her aide and then starts the walk to the outside, where her stretch is awaiting her. Stepping inside the beautiful limo, the young looking female appears to be ready for a night of fun, as she is to go to town. However, she already knows she is going to arrive late, her presence going possibly noticed by some, but not by many if lucky. Knowing the dangers of some that she will encounter, including her elusive foe she has battled for so long, Isis makes sure to keep watch of her ranks, trying to distinguish whom is whom. With a look back towards her place, Bella is now off and roaring into the night, her driver not afraid to take risks as they start their small journey. Not even twenty minutes after the departure from her house, the young Isabella has arrived to the destination, the grand hotel which encases where the event shall happen.
Waiting in vain for her driver, Isis sits still as she waits for him to depart from his seat and walk around to her door, giving her the true royal treatment she deserves. Without a blink of an eye, the man opens her door and she doesn’t really look at him, instead swinging out her body to the ground and staring at the beauty of the hotel. Such gracious design, the awning and carpet stretched out upon her entrance of the hotel, leaving the grandeur undisturbed. As sjhe looks back to her normal view, the trek inside the building is over a nice small lush carpet, as two security guards stand upon the doors to let anyone enter that is deserving for this event. Walking up to them, she nods as both men react and open a door, allowing her entrance into the building. Instead of taking a longer route, Isis was dropped off nearby so only has a short walk down the hallway to enter where the showcase is being held.
Reaching destination, the ground zero of all the fun, Isabella walks in with her mask now properly attached, quickly having made sure in the hallway she put it on. With one small tug on the strings to make sure, she wades into what is a night of comradely, companionship through the community, and overall fun hopefully. Walking in, a quick scan is required to make sure if anyone can be identified, but sadly none can be at this exact moment. Over fifteen people have occupied the building to see what tonight would bring forth, and they plan on making it one of the best nights as a lot of them are starting to truly pair off and be with whom they know, or meet new people.
Oblivious to the fact that she has no one with her, Isabella is wandering through the small crowd trying to see whom is there and see the beauty of the dresses people have managed to acquire. Very few of these are probably anywhere near authentic, but the fact they were made is a testament of dedication. One person in particular catches her attention, having worn a mask resembling that of a wolf, making waves most notably throughout the crowd, some probably displeased. The intriguing nag that is within makes a mental note to catch her alone later if possible and find out about this person. Word going around leads her to belief of whom it is, but until knowing for sure, this will plague Isis to find out.
Hearing some recent news about an acquaintance, it is time to set out and find them, looking for the one and only Ali Shadings, not knowing her new name after hearing about the marriage. Knowing about her looks, and especially having heard about her new husband Victor shouldn’t make it too hard, but to manage to shuffle through is also the task. Is she alone, or is she with her new hubby is the thing. After wandering around for a minute or so, unable to know, it is better to just go on the outskirts and gaze, hopefully managing to catch sight of them and follow in pursuit. Stepping over towards the places where the food is, Isis picks up a small crystal glass filled with the warm liquid their to help sedate the thirst of the vampires. Taking a sip and enjoying the feel of it going down her throat, she looks out wondering where the newlywed is at.

Generally that is the idea. For instance, you have decided to come because your friends were here.....but did you ever consider the fact that they loved you as a friend because you were a wolf? Now they see you as a vampire, and because you were pushed into it, they will have disdain for me, hence they will try to get others to take me out. So they are networking information in order to plot against me.
Well, she hadn't thought that Sevanni could make her feel bad about anything. If she had still been human, she would have blushed in shame. As it was, her head did lower slightly. "I hadn't thought of that..." She did, however, feel the need to defend her relationship with her friends. "They loved me because I'm me, not because I'm a wolf... Victor didn't even know I was a wolf until just about a year or so ago... And we had grown up together... Rose had hated me at one point, she even tried to kill me once or twice..." Her voice trailed off as she recalled Rose's harsh reaction when she saw Nix as a vampire... And she wasn't so sure anymore. Even with Rose's apology, how could Nix really have been certain that Rose wasn't lying? If she would have turned around, she could have been sure, could have looked at her friend's face, and told if there was a lie or not... But she hadn't, and now she was doubting exactly how Rose truly felt... "I won't let them come after you. It was my choice to drink from you." That wasn't entirely true, but that wasn't the point. She wouldn't let them attack Sevanni over what had happened.
I always make sure I keep my little ones happy....you are no exception....regardless of who you are and how you were made.....Or how we felt or feel about one another. Her forehead wrinkled slightly as she tried to get her mind around that. While she was his fledgling, it still seemed impossible to her that he would treat her as one. She thought that he would have still spoke to her like she was a dog, that she would still be nothing more than a mutt in his eyes.
"I wonder how long it will take us to actually be able to be completely comfortable in each other's company? Before I'll be able to stop being so suspicious of every move you make..." She asked, not really expecting a answer, more like musing out loud. "We have quite the history, don't we?" She asked, giving him a cheeky grin before turning away from him, her hand grazing over a beautiful purple flower, the petals soft against her pale skin.

"They loved me because I'm me, not because I'm a wolf... Victor didn't even know I was a wolf until just about a year or so ago... And we had grown up together... Rose had hated me at one point, she even tried to kill me once or twice..." It wasn't as if he wanted to push her away from her friends. They were after all vampires, granted, people he highly hated or disliked, but they were her friends, and she did need them. Even if it meant they would implant things into her mind. But that was between Sevanni and them, not them through Phoenix.
"They love you for you yes, but now there will always be something different about you." A slight hint of an exhale. "Don't get me wrong....I think you should have your friends because they are vampire......but you are apart of me now, and they will have an underlying hint of distrust." Whether or not he would use her to hurt them, that wasn't an option, however they could possibly believe it to be true somewhere deep inside.
"I won't let them come after you. It was my choice to drink from you." Spoken after moments passed, his comment made. He actually had forced it upon her, but she was the one who after first taste, had pulled his arm closer so she could intake more and more of him. Another factor he hated when turning people. It weakened him tremendously, hence why he laid beside her with closed eyes. Relaxed in the chair reading a book.
"I wonder how long it will take us to actually be able to be completely comfortable in each other's company? Before I'll be able to stop being so suspicious of every move you make..." A small hint of a humorous smile lifted over lips as he looked at her and then pulled away. Watching her fingers trail over flower petals. He wondered when she would relax. Consider herself rather comfortable with this entire situation between them. But she was different. She was vampire, and he adored her more than he possibly could before.
"We have quite the history, don't we?" He had to bring eyes to her features once more, thinking back on it, they did have one hell of a history together. "But maybe that could change." Softly spoken, a hint of quizzicalness there out in the open. It was up to her. Even after he had kissed her and she had responded with such a confusing motion. Things were already changing, he was just unsure of if it was for the good, or for the bad.

Giselle sensed a disturbance from inside. Something was going on, the glass windows were practically steaming up. Gray hue's darted to the source of laughter. A vampress stood on the balcony in a haughty stance, looking down on it's inhabitants. Finally, a vampire in a wolf mask came charging into the gardens, followed closely by a blonde vampire. Giselle eavesdropped on their conversation. The blonde was apologizing about something... What the fuck was going on in there? More importantly, why wasn't Giselle the cause of it? Giselle pressed a finger to her lips, motioning Lars to be quiet while she listened in. Then a foul stench diverted her attention. "UGH! What is that? Smells like sewage backup!" then she saw her favorite person in the world crossing the grounds. "Oh... It's just Sevanni," he reeked. "Well. I guess we don't have to be inside for the fun. Looks like the parties coming to us."
Sevanni rendezvoused with the wolf mask girl. "Interesting..." She scrutinized the girl, wondering what possessed her to be Sevanni's date. She glanced at Lars quickly. Noting his tie was askew, Giselle busied herself fixing it, huffing. "The vampire is clearly psychotic. No one in their right mind would be seen with him. And you with this tie! That's the fourth time I've had to fix it! I don't care about your trash talking, but when you look like a slob, that's where I draw the line!" Giselle straitened his mask as well, which was knocked to the side slightly after he had his drink. Flattening his collar afterward, she was finished fussing over him. Giselle swept her hair behind her shoulders, straightened the skirt of her dress, then took Lars's arm.
She chose the path that would intersect with Sevanni's. She dared Lars to challenge her. Walking past Sevanni's shoulder now, Giselle allowed her's to bump him. Pausing in her step, she cocked her head slightly and shot him a dangerous look. "You should leave," she sneered. Then her eyes fell on the vampress in the wolf mask. "Honey, you can do so much better. He just wants to get in your pants," Giselle shook her head, then turned her nose up and continued to walk with Lars in tow. "Aren't you proud of me? Not a single punch was thrown," she smiled smugly. They reached the stairs now. Ascending them to the top, they came to a road block, namely a vampress in a bulbous dress. Giselle took a whiff of her. She smelled familiar, a lot like Aubrey. Whatever. Giselle could care less. But she had a certain air about her that Giselle didn't like. "Pardon us, your tasteless dress is blocking the door," Giselle drawled.
