Chrono Keyed
A Freeform, Literate-leveled elemental wolf RP. Rated 'R.'
"What has the world become since the fall of our fathers?
The land is dying slowly – each and every day it feels more and more feral, beast-like, and less forgiving. There had been a time where the land fed us, housed us, sheltered us, and clothed us, but ever since our fathers’ betrayal to the Land it has turned its back upon us. Hunger and strife now cover the land, and the dirt has turned red with the blood that has been spilt upon it. Safe havens are hard to come by, and scarcity is in abundance.
How have the Children of the Fallen survived for so long?
The question plagues us all: “How long do I have to live? Will it be a day? Maybe it will be a year… or perhaps generations yet to come.” But we all recognize that death has become a part of us, now. Our fathers forfeit their children’s immortality and forsake us out of their own stupidity, and so now we live with their sins. Our race has begot strife, and it haunts us as wisps in a swamp. If we are not fighting those who wish to exterminate us, we are fighting ourselves – and thus we will never unify to stand against our sins, and always dwell in them.
Who seeks to cleanse the lands of the Fallen?
The ones who stalk and hunt us are those who were once our fathers. They see us as the reason for their loss and their own personal fall, they believe that we took powers from them and killed them all, and they have become tainted with the idea of bloodshed. The Tainted Ones, as they even address themselves, are the fathers that were destroyed through the curse of the land and thrown into disarray. Their minds are offset, crooked, and diseased – they hold a grudge against all the Children of the Fallen, seeking to rid the world of them in the delirious thought that it might restore their once glorious state. But the cleansing idea has turned into nothing more than a murderous slaughter. We stand uneasily against them, for within our own packs we are divided, and more than usually they strike us down time and time again.
Is there hope?
Ancestors of ours who have, to this day, repelled the curse of the land and kept their bodies clean from the sin that pursues preserve the safe havens and keep the land from falling into damnation even though it tries so hard to do so. They are what the Tainted ones used to be but are no longer. Though these wolves, the Perfects as many of the Children of the Fallen have called them, do not and cannot fight the Tainted with us, they nurture us and keep us protected by sheltering, hiding, and feeding those in need. Other races of canine, like many of the dog breeds and even further distant cousins of ours, have joined our bloodline and share our blessings and our sins. At times they remain on their own, Bastards of our fallen fathers and outcasts of their own kind, but it is not rare to find one amongst the pack of the Children.
What is my part in this land?
Your part is as you choose – free will is still the land’s gift to us, and it is something that we cherish most. You have the choice, going in: you can be a Perfect, a God-like being whose angelic thoughts and graceful actions preserve the land for many more generations to come. The Perfects are kind and generous, but they are doomed to fall and become like the rest of their Tainted brethren. You can be a Child of the Fallen – a wolf who is a descendent of the Fallen Father and Fallen Mother or other Mothers who had given birth after the curse spread to the land. Free roam the land, but be cautious – remnants of its glory may be awe-inspiring, but they are also perilous. You can be a Tainted One, a former Perfect gone wrong. At some point in your past you have committed a heinous deed and succumbed to the curse. Now you seek to kill those who put the curse on the land under the mindless reasoning that it might restore your previous glory. Or you can be a Bastard – a dog or other animal that has somehow found the blood of a wolf in their line.
Quickstart:
Chrono Keyed is an elemental wolf roleplay in a custom and unique setting. Everything has had thought put into it – from the map, to history, to even the weather. Immerse yourself into the roleplay and become your character; know what it is like to be a wolf whose bloodline caused the fall of the world, battle the odds when pitched against giant mutated wolves known as “The Tainted,” and make allies of your race and others to help you pull through the cursed world. There is but one question you may have for yourself when entering: do you want to save the world, or do you want to help destroy it?
What we offer:
As stated, we offer many unique features.
- Choose between 3 of the main races, or from one of many of the canine race.
- Change the very landscape of the map with your actions. Help the land, or destroy it. Expect opposition both ways.
- Create allegiances with other wolves and master a packland all your own – or become an outsider who knows nothing but betrayal.
- Live in a world that is constantly changing – watch the weather, and travel carefully.
- Know what its like to not really be the master of your birth. YOU choose how you look, what you are, and where you are from – but the elements choose you, not the other way around. Powers are assigned by a number drawing.
- Explore the map – and then some! The land grows further than the boundaries of the beginning, itself! As time goes on, extra maps will be incorporated. So explore the massive island, starting from the very center!
- Enjoy the company of other 'Literate' roleplayers!
- We are also a Freeform roleplay! So nothing in the OOC world can come into the IC world! Any planning done is completely in character, making the game a bit less predictable and more riddling!
- See our map at swfcabin.com/open/1243058896!
