Well I'm not going to deny myself so Accepted! And it wouldn't make much sense if I welcomed myself here either...
Name: James Silvius
Age: 18
Where Do You Live?: NYC
History (include where you were born, when and how you became a werewolf):
Growing up in NYC with an abusive father and drunk step-mother, James learned one thing: self-sacrifice. It wasn’t always like this, however. His father used to be a good man and his birth mother used to be an angel on Earth. His twin sister, Artemis, and his little brother, Claudius, lived in an average middle class family.
His father and mother worked, leaving the little children with a nanny. As the kids grew older, Artemis and James would take turns watching their little brother. The family was happy and quite normal, until tragedy struck. James’s mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. She died two years later on James and Artemis’s ninth birthday. Their dad became a wreck after that. He worked longer hours, trying his best to provide for three kids.
Family time was scarce until their father remarried again to a drunk. She was a prostitute he found off the streets. It was a dark time for the motherless family then. James’s father was on his way to being sacked and money was growing tight. He brought home this vile woman, introduced her to his children, and married her the next day.
The three protested, naturally. Their father silenced them with a beating. James couldn’t stand to watch his sister and younger brother get beaten. He would take it for all of them. It was like this for five years.
Five years later and Artemis and James were fourteen. After a particularly severe beating, James ran from the house. He left Artemis and Claudius behind, not thinking straight. James stayed in the local park for the rest of the night. The next morning, he sprinted back to his house, fearful of what his father and step-mother did to his siblings.
The door was open. He viewed a scene straight out of his nightmares. His father was dead on the floor next to the door in a pool of blood. James spotted puncture marks in his neck. His arm was ripped from his body and thrown across the room.
The next person he saw was Artemis, writhing on the floor, screaming in immense pain. The last thing he saw was his little brother, Claudius. He was unconscious, maybe dead. The same puncture marks were planted on various parts of his body.
Crouched over him was his step-mother, blood dripping from her mouth. When she looked up at James, blood thirst seized her muscles and she charged him. She pinned him up against the wall and began sucking blood from his neck.
The next thing that happened, happened so fast, that James had to hear the story over again to fully understand it. Something black and furry flew past him, taking the vampire with it out the door into the sunlight. James collapsed onto the floor in his father’s blood and his own blood. He was sure he was dying. The last thing he heard before he blacked out was a blood curdling scream from his step-mother and an earsplittingly loud roar.
When he came to, he felt his body shaking, seizing almost. The only thing he saw was the same black and furry creature crouched over him. He blacked out again. When he woke up for the second time, he was lying in a dank cave on the dirt floor. He sprang up, heart beating nearly out of his chest. He was alive and he was naked. James noticed a pair of pants lying next to him. He seized them and threw them on.
He did notice something was weird about him. He could smell everything. The mold growing on the cave walls, the musty air. He could sharply hear water dripping somewhere, and his eyes could see even into the darkest corner. He could also hear someone moving next to him. James jumped to his feet and got ready to fight. Strong hands restrained him and the following conversation occurred:
“Where am I? What happened to my brother and sister? Where did that monster go? Who are you? Why do I taste blood in my mouth? Why does my arm hurt?” James demanded to the stranger.
“Relax, you’re safe from her kind here,” the man, James noticed, said softly.
“You didn’t answer my questions! Why do I taste blood? Where is my brother and sister!” he screamed, hysterical. The man sighed and sat James down. He told him everything James missed and left nothing out.
The werewolf spotted James in the park, stayed the night there to watch him, and then followed him home. He was a kind man and worried for the bruised boy. He could also smell vampire all over him. He stayed outside the house as James went in but knew nothing was right. He could smell blood everywhere along with the same vampire he smelled off of James.
He waited until the last minute, and then attacked the vampire. He flung her into the sun where she burned up and died. That was the scream and roar James had heard. The werewolf, Gavin he said his name was, found James unconscious and bit him. He couldn’t just leave the boy there, and he knew James would want vengeance. He would have a family with his pack since he had no one left. And he couldn’t allow a human into his pack.
Gavin told James that his body was shaking because he was making his first transformation into a werewolf. There was a full moon that night, and the transformation woke him up. James didn’t remember anything about that night because when a wolf changes on a full moon, they are a wild animal, and James was quite wild.
Gavin ran after James into a forest. James attacked a deer, which is why he tasted blood in his mouth. James went after Gavin, too, and Gavin broke James’s arm in the fight. When James became human again, Gavin carried him back to the cave where he woke up.
Gavin also told him about the vampires. It was a vampire indeed that day. The vampire had his father under mind control, which is why he took her home with him, married her so fast, and beat his own children. The night James ran from home, the vampire let the mind control slip for one second, and then James’s father knew everything. The vampire killed him first, drained Artemis and then accidently let her own blood slip from her wrist into Artemis’s mouth. She was in the process of killing Claudius when James interrupted.
Gavin told James that when he reached Claudius, he was already dead. Artemis was beginning the transformation into a vampire. To save her from herself, Gavin left Artemis in the sunlight. James was, of course, unhappy about this until Gavin told him that since he was not vampire, he couldn’t have taken Artemis in and it was best for her if she perished.
After a little time, James finally accepted everything. He was a werewolf now. He doubted it until Gavin talked him into a transformation during a night where there was no full moon. James found a home with Gavin’s pack who welcomed the boy in with open arms. James hates vampires. Enough said. He wants every single one of them to burn.
James is eighteen now and is ready to leave his pack family soon to explore the world and learn as much as he can about his werewolf powers. He is on a mission to eliminate the vampire race.
Personality: James is young, so he doesn’t know everything there is to know. He has a lot to learn about being a werewolf, and is prepared to take that journey. He doesn’t want to leave Gavin and his pack family, but he knows he must someday. He’s reckless, and when he sees a vampire at first sight, he lunges at the opportunity to be rid of one more in this world. He can never forgive himself for what happened to Artemis and Claudius. He must get his revenge.
